I think there is more than just pre-markman to the good patent plays. There is post-markman, pre-trial, trial, and post trial. What these stocks offer are lots of ongoing events.
I agree and I disagree, on one hand it spreads the money out, on another hand it's better than oil or car sponge stocks. I have been collecting symbols on my watch list for the past year. Unfortunatly I think many will think all patent plays are the same, and that is just not the case. What will be will be, but my guess is that this will be the next hot market for scammer CEOs.
They don't have 5 shots at 1 big win, Living Social and Groupon are far above the rest, one of those five only had a million in sales last year, plus if one of those lawsuits doesn't get past markman most likely none of them will as the other companies will use the same tactics. That plus the fully diluted is about 200MM shares and with an already 35c+ share price, that doesn't leave a lot of room. The worldwide market there is about $3B-$4B. At 5c-10c it was a buy.
If you can make a clear link between the WDDD patents and Facebook, Twitter, and whatever else are the social media hot spots on the internet than that would surely make the stock price jump.
In the context of say facebook, I don't see characters representing people, if you are considering their facebook picture as an avatar, if it's really them would that still be considered an avatar? I'm not saying I know or not, just asking questions. Aren't the patents for use in a 3d environment with avatars?
Sounds good, but doesn't there have to be an avatar involved?
Thanks for all the good work and digging you do for the board!
Yes, from my calculations.
They do have some great things over there, amazing management, multiple lawsuits, ect., but the fully diluted share structure is already double of WDDD and the price per share is already over 30c. At 5c it was a good play, at 30c it's too expensive.IMO
I wrote "as far as time goes" in my post because I was referring to time, that was what you were originally referencing when you were quoting me. It looks like based on this article that East Texas has dropped some and now takes longer because it's a more popular destination, so it's not much different than Mass., as far as time to trial goes.
No place can be compared to Virginia for patent trials, Texas is lots better than Mass. as far as time goes, that's for sure.
Read it again!
Everyone Better read the filings on BCYP, lots of warrants, conversions, options. Fully diluted is about 200MM shares.

Ummmmm, right when you show up the stock takes off, I guess you're our lucky mascot!
You say you know the share structure, so what is the O/S? The A/S and O/S are different. What do the preferreds turn into? Since the company is a pinksheet, not SEC filing company, then they should at least have an open TA for people to contact to get updates about the share structure, no one on the board could even give me the TA's name. You want to compare OBJE, IENT went from under 0.001 to over 30c, even more of a jump. I've already read everything, JW has done next to nothing with the company the past few years, he's hoping Danny can turn it around. Obviously the last company Danny was at trying to do the exact same thing the past few years weren't very impressed, otherwise it would have been done there. I'm not interested in arguing about it, I wish everyone well, I hope you all make big bucks, good luck.
If you listen to the CC he's a salesman, plain and simple. Anytime someone comes in and claims sales will be $200MM-$400MM in 2 years you better be worried, not excited. The company doesn't even have SEC filings and he says himself that getting those out in a year might be aggressive, Huhhhhh??? So getting some filings out in a year is aggressive but $200MM-$400MM is not? When 1+1=7 beware. In an email to you he takes credit for taking Activision stock and market cap up huge, yet he wasn't even the CEO, he was vice-pres. Also the current market for these games IENT will be putting out is about $400MM-$500MM per year, so to say he will have the company doing that much in 2 years is ridiculous, that means all of a sudden that specific market will double. I agree he has quite the resume, but then again, he was just working at another company trying to sell the exact same type games and that didn't work out??? The people that did ask questions on the CC wasted a lot of time and left out alot of the important questions such as current share structure, (the IENT board doesn't even have the current share structure), where funding would come from, how he can predict $200MM in sales but can't get some financials out.
It's a stinky pinky, if you want to use your lotto money, by all means, go right ahead, could go up could go down, who knows, but my bet is that shareholders are going to get screwed on the funding and the price will plummet. Also, I see you email him alot, I'd suggest not doing that and digging for your own info on google, 99% of the time the company will give you to da moon type comments, and that's their job, to sell you on the company, that's fine once, hear what they have to say, but then do your own DD and see what the whole story is.
Here's some of my DD I did, the stock is on my watch list, but I will wait for filings before I even consider buying, as it sounds like a pump and dump right now. They will want to get the share price as high as they can for when they sell shares, real banks don't give pinksheet companys loans, so shares will be hitting the float at some point. Good luck.
IMO

Time to take profits while you can. Come on, Danny says $200mm-$400mm in sales in the next 2 years yet can't give a definite date on when SEC filings will come, even says within a year might be too aggresive, how does that make sense??? No financials and everyone is just driving blind.
Larimar, nice to have you here! I hope to hear more commentary from you in the future. Having a real pro on the board is a big plus. Thanks so much!
There's another scenario you didnt address...what if Activision decides to buy WDDD and give us all ATVI shares! That's a possibility. Or what if Facebook realizes they are infringing and buys WDDD. Or what if Facebook, Youtube, and WDDD form a joint venture and make the biggest MMO game company ever. What if another major lawsuit is announced. The what ifs can go on and on and on ;)
LOL, you gave this to me, LMAO, check my posting history on this board, was here starting about 4 years ago, but yeah, thanks for the PM, LOL. And someone, I believe it was joe natural but maybe someone else, was talking about it last Nov in conjunction with vringo. I stopped trusting you after what you did at vringo, so anything i told you after that was just BS ;)
Exactly! I told him when he first started pumping this play that the only thing anyone has to figure out is when he's going to get out and start bashing, standard operating procedure for this guy. Maybe one day life hits him in the face and he learns compassion.
Yes, the gaming world will be all abuzz about the lawsuit as we get closer to markman, which will probably trigger some mainstream outlets to pick up the story.
Don't discount the time factor. Many aren't in yet, some will plan to get in 2 months before markman, some 1 month before markman, and some like you say will be waiting to see the pacer filings. Also the market still needs some clear guidance on what this case is possibly worth to WDDD.

Tryz,
First of all thanks for your message and certainly appreciate the invite. The follow up to what was essentially a Prior Art statement will be out on Thursday, hopefully sometime in the morning. I have observed some of the chatter on the various outlets and I think the IHUB WDDD board is the most active board and probably the most detailed in terms of gross participation. I commend you for that! I have been trying to post most often to this blog because I simply have more control here and that will be very important once the hearings and/or trials start (in this and in other cases we will follow). I have had problems with posts not getting posted at critical times in the past so I’m trying to establish an unimpeded space which I think will be helpful and less frustrating for investors. I spent about twenty hours locked down this weekend and there is still much to do but I can tell you unequivocally that we are in a very strong investment. I have revised my damages chart and believe I now have a refined gross number for all the past damages related to the two games in suit. An expose of what we believe will be sought will be broken down in a manner comparable to what you will see Thursday, and soon after. We exist today at a small fraction of WDDD’s potential worth. Thanks for writing in.
It's not that the market doesn't like it, but people were already counting on S&G for covering the same topic, so EDVA just backed up what they already saw in their 9 months of DD. His next detailed analysis about monetary damages should get people more excited as we have yet to get that report from S&G, so detailed info about that will be new and exciting.
Thanks!
not for me, please post
The thing is, anyone with big money that wants to come in like we saw on Monday and this thing can move 5c in a heartbeat.
Blowing up! Still not released for me. Sometimes one coast gets it before the other because of server location.

Either people keep getting margin calls and their brokerage sells their shares or people don't know that you don't sell penny stocks with a market order, Geez! Exactly 20k shares.
Here's a big question, do these patents cover mobile games?
I agree, pre-trial settlement around $250MM-$300MM, don't think it makes it to trial, but if it does around $500MM.
Looks like a margin call earlier in the day, some people got lucky and grabbed those cheapies.
Why are you trying to beat EDVA to the punch? He announced he was working on a prior art article and then all of a sudden you were on a mission to get the info out before him? His article might have some overlapping info that you have, but per his teaser, his team specifically is going to be addressing the prior art activision has brought up in the case. EDVA was a huge resource in the vringo trial, probably the most trusted of everyone that followed the case, let's see what his team comes up with first before discounting what he has to say. Instead of trying to beat him to the punch on a topic he already announced he was writing about, why not write about something else?
I agree with you! The legal system clearly needs an overhaul if this is how it works, Geez!!! The only thing seemingly getting done here is lawyers making tons and tons of money and a judge taking his own sweet time. This should have been done a month after the trial was done, if either side didn't like what went on at trial, they can take it up with the appellate court. So far post trial has been more like a retrial, except in motions and responses this time. This is why the courts are so backed up, things that should take weeks take months instead. And so far this judge has no problem with google punking him left and right, things that make you go hmmmmmmm.
What was the actual trial for? Geez, post trial has become a trial in itself???
JJ, you've worked in the court system for many years, is this kind of BS google is pulling the norm? Isn't there some kind of punishment for how they are acting, as they don't seem to respect the court system in any way, they are making it look like just another one of their toys???
That stock hit $5.70, sounds good to me!!! Thanks for the comparison ;)
2 big articles coming by EDVA, 1st one Thurs. about prior art, and the 2nd one soon after, an estimated damages report.
It's a sticky note, that blog was written in Jan.
The stock is going to reset in the near future to reflect the google money being out of the game, consider any money coming from them to be a bonus, they are going to drag this out in as many ways as possible and end up paying as little as possible. Time to look forward to Microsoft and ZTE.IMO
