Well I'm holding tight. I have Jan14 $1.00 calls that I picked up for $7/ea. small investment with a huge possible upside. Last year I used the same strategy. Picked them up for $10/ea and sold them for about $290/ea. Hoping for similar results this time around.
Well that's probably a good place to be. It busted through .70 earlier on some nice volume
When did you get in? I don't own shares but I bought call options when it was in the $0.50's
SVNT making a run!
LSG not one of your gold plays AF?
SVNT 5 Stocks Under $10 set to Soar - The Street
Savient Pharmaceuticals
Another under-$10 name that's starting to move within range of triggering a major breakout trade is Savient Pharmaceuticals (SVNT), a biopharmaceutical company with one meaningful drug, Krystexxa, which treats chronic gout refractory to conventional therapy. This stock has been under selling pressure from the bears in 2013, with shares down sharply by 38.4%.
If you take a look at the chart for Savient Pharmaceuticals, you'll notice that this stock has been uptrending over the last few weeks, with shares moving higher from its low of 56 cents to its recent high of 70 cents per share. Shares of SVNT formed a double bottom at 56 cents per share, prior to this uptrend and the stock has now started to trend back above its 50-day moving average at 65 cents per share. That move is quickly pushing shares of SVNT within range of triggering a major breakout trade.
Market players should now look for long-biased trades in SVNT if it manages to break out above some near-term overhead resistance levels 70 cents to 75 cents per share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above those levels with volume that hits near or above its three-month average action of 800,841 shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then SVNT will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at 90 cents to 91 cents per share. Any high-volume move above those levels will then put its 200-day at 92 cents to $1 into range for shares of SVNT.
Traders can look to buy SVNT off weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below 60 cents to 56 cents per share. One can also buy SNSS off strength once it clears those breakout levels with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point.

Yeah I only went long with this once. DrContango over on that board knows his stuff. So you might want to pick his brain
UVXY Blade, your best bet with this one is to buy put options when it spikes. It goes down to around 5 and then does a reverse split to raise the price back up.
Poison pill?
Well here's another possible SVNT earnings day...the 12

Blade. I've been trying to keep up with SVNT since that monster run.
Thanks. Maybe this will be right. Fidelity and yahoo had it down for yesterday and OptionsHouse had it unconfirmed for tomorrow. They all had the same consensus though. I am playing this one with call options to limit my risk and maximize potential gains.
SVNT PSAR flipped today too and it closed at the hod
RNN PSAR flipped today and looking for the MACD cross
PAL or CLSN? Have funds to get into one, but which one? Currently hold SVNT RNN and LSG.
Thanks for updating that AF
RNN - Matt, we're up to $0.60 PM
PAL - Are you holding into earnings?
ORIONS plays earnings this week:
CLSN and LPR 08/08/2013 CONFIRMED
SVNT and RNN 08/08/2013 UNCONFIRMED
CPRX 08/09/2013 UNCONFIRMED
Glad I got back into RNN today. That's some pretty big AH action....something is up.
SVNT supposed to report today according to yahoo finance and Fidelity. Have you seen any of the numbers or have they not come out yet? Consensus estimate is a loss of $0.31/share from what I can find, but no actual numbers as of yet.
BISU...some DD from their 10-Q:
This sounds great here:
"The Company’s primary activities since October 1, 2011 have been performing business, strategic and financial planning, enhancing the Type2 Defense formula and securing capital for ongoing operations. The Company began shipping product to customers in early July 2013 and will emerge from the development stage during the third quarter of 2013."
But this contradicts that and paints a pretty grim outlook:
"We generated no revenues for the six months ended June 30, 2013 and 2012. For the six months ended June 30, 2013 and 2012, we had no gross profit."
Now I know these are penny stocks and have huge risk, but also huge (potential) reward. Abondanceinvest, I noticed your Avatar is the company logo. Are you part of the company or just really behind this one?
What does everyone else think of this company and their product?
Hello everyone. Just started following this board. Just wanted to know what is the case for BISU? It just caught my attention.
Same here. Very low volume and hardly any movement. Just a slow decline.
LSG anyone still in this one?
Gold is taking a beating right now. Down $23 below $1290
SVNT up almost 7% PM on over 10k shares
Gold plays LSG and VGZ holding up nicely despite gold being down $17....for now
Thanks. Unfortunately I'll be sleeping...the joys of working at night
I'm showing up $1.94 on 3.5k shares which IMO is nothing. Maybe some people trying to get out before the drop. I could be wrong but I'm holding my puts.
AAPL - Got into some $450 puts yesterday. Closed above the upper BB, RSI near 70 and Williams %R in overbought territory.
SVNT closed above the 8 DMA and MACD cross.
Good to know. I haven't traded options in a while and was looking for some ideas.
