Is JMW okay with JPM and the FDIC getting releases? Because if she isn't they will probably have to pay for them.
I'm still confused here. Everyone involved in the WAMU takedown can be sued, but not the FDIC or JPM?
And I saw your next post about no releases for the UCC and hedgies, but it is the releases for JPM and the FDIC that will make the GSA fall appart, correct?
Can someone explain the one thing to me please? Most people seem to think the judge denied the releases, yet she said this:
Although equity interest holders are not likely to get a
recovery, the Court is not convinced that continued litigation
See Part B(1)(b), infra. 34
67
against JPMC and/or the FDIC would change that result.
Therefore, the Court concludes that the releases given by the
Debtors to JPMC, the FDIC, and WMB are reasonable.
Isn't JMW saying that the releases are okay with her?
You said you had a bad feeling about this...I guess it is a good thing you're always wrong, huh!!!!!!
ARE you serious!!!!!!!!please don't be joking!!!!
Very true. I don't think she will pass the POR as is. My guess is that it is more likely the POR is outright denied then outright approved. But it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see her modify it.
I suspect that had the train not been delayed, we might've gotten her rulings tonight.
Those were my thoughts exactly...eom
I don't know exactly but looking at etrade market trader it seems like there are a lot more buys then sells today.
So is the judge allowing the corporate veil to now be pierced after multiple times ruling that she wouldn't allow it?
Do you still like this one?
I'm in at .0012.eom
Are you in this long term or just flipping?
.0013 should fall any minute now...
If JMW denies the POR can she rule on it, or does it need to be resubmitted by a 3rd party, like the EC?
That's why I'm honorable mention, right?eom
What did you call CPOW at?eom
Do you remember what you initially called it at?
That is the assumption, yes, but this stock is so manipulated I wouldn't expect a big jump, although it would be nice. Wamuq was about 3 times what it is now about 2 months ago before the Examiner's report, and the judge threw that out, yet the stock hasn't recovered.
Best case is the judge denies the current POR, we get a new one that pays preferred off plus back interest, commons get a few dollars a share, and the equity gets the new company with its tens of billions of NOL carry forwards. Worst case is this current POR is confirmed as is.
Nice find eom
I was thinking that or the Wynn.
Nice to have you! We have some great mods on this board.
Is he okay? eom
Would it be possible to get some donations and take out ad space in a major US paper about this case?
No, just picks in general.
Big request, but can you say what you called these at?
Question about today's hearing: I didn't get a chance to listen, but did JMW really say that unsealing the docs could hurt EC lawsuits in the future? If she said something like that then she could very well have tipped that the releases will not be granted at all.
Do you think they'll throw some money to the P's & K's?
Commons would be 4 billion closer to the money, no change for P's & K's.
This is what was posted on the subject at madblab, and he got it from S/G's July bill:
http://madblab.com/post/july-8-sealed-doc-was-about-wmb-accounting
But this does prove that the evil that men do lives on and on.
Why did you just now tell us about this?eom
A couple questions for the board:
Can JMW amend the POR to suit her tastes? I mean can she just say that we're getting some more of the refunds that will go to preferred?
And is it possible she could say that she will rule that the Hoffman filing will unseal the documents in 30 days to turn up the heat for a settlement?
When did he do this? eom
"You can't sue us, we're the FDIC and even if you did, there is not enough money in our account to pay you.. "
Never the less, we really, really would like those releases...
JMW probably won't be ruling either way Wednesday, will she? Don't most confirmation hearings last a while?
Well guys, I'm leaving for Thanksgiving, I'll try to check in a bit while I'm gone!
Do you think JPM would agree to pay them? I have my doubts about that...
I would love to see them do a sworn deposition with Hochberg...
