I was invested in Foundry at the time and was disappointed with the terms of the takeover. There was clearly sh#t going on before that merger. I hope I will not be similarly disappointed with my PPHM investment when the time comes.
Me. 10k
I'm personally not worried about the short numbers or the share price at this point. I remember similar behavior in other biotechs such as in AVI / Sarepta just recently where I was really hurting in share price with a reverse split and then bang. I'm now up 180%. As long as the science is chugging along I'm ok with it. I'm a scientist and know things take time and one does experiments to test the limits of applicability of a method. Pancreatic set some limits on application of bavi and that's fine. Now knowing the limits we'll try it with the current improved SOC and a healthier population. It takes time sure. But thats life in the lab. As an investor I'm annoyed but I understand and am patient.
Seems like folks might want to go fishing with them worms...
(Ok, I'm from Ohio not across the river in Kentucky.)
At the time the suspiciously inflated PFS data for the control in 1st line came out I speculated that the scans had been shuffled. Perhaps the documentation associating the patients with the scans sent to central for reading were somehow tampered with. I am surprised that the conspiracy enthusiasts on this board haven't run with this speculation. The Fargo incident lends support to this supposition.

Ok, its not PS and Bavi but interesting nonetheless.
No, my usual Dogfish Head 60 min. IPA
I would also not like to see serious discussion taken off line into private chat. I've been invested in PPHM since 2006 and have 110k shares. I rarely post since I actually have a day job and cannot stay current in the ongoing board discussions. Second best would be to be included in the private discussion group though this goes against my preferred open web discussions. Private rooms often turn into epistemologic closure echo chambers. (See Fox/MSNBC News or the republican party.)
Should betabodies prove out is there any assurance that it (they) will be licensed to Peregrine ?
I would hope that that would be the case but U. Texas needs to maximize its investment. Could a BP outbid us in an end run around bavi?
Is Steve and our BOD up to it?

I'm sure Jake & Frustrated will weigh in. How about some other serious opinions.
I watched it this morning on WUSA channel 9 at 8:30.
I've held several small tech companies that were on the reg SHO list for months on end. Ten or so years ago I was visiting the Health and Fitness Expo in the Washington Convention Center and in the financial health section there was a small booth from the SEC. I gave the poor pr man a piece of my mind regarding the SEC's lax enforcement. -- Poor guy. He had no answers but to point out that they were seriously understaffed.
At least I felt better getting that off my mind.
If I were furloughed already and at home today, I'd make a sign
PPHM another DNDN?
Please Investigate
and walk over to the SEC headquarters near my house and picket.
Chenzo. Guess so...
FTM. Would you patronize a restaurant if it became known that a sou-chef peed in the vichyssoise.
It would discredit the company when and if it is discovered.
Why, if she had been paid, would she still be in Fargo (ugh !) instead of lounging in the sun on some nice Caribbean island?
Well she (if she did it) could have been a disgruntled employee and mixed the coding on some samples as a parting gesture without drawing attention to it.
Sort of like a departing sou-chef peeing in the soup.
(I was going to use a more vulgar example but this is a respectable venue.)
No, it just means that you are I'll informed. And cuts always are felt first with the worker bees.
Maybe I'm bitter since a sponsor pulled back 40% of my funding for one of my projects for this fiscal year due to the uncertainty.
Of course if sequester goes through the FDA will be affected and I would not expect a prompt response.
A low grumbling in my tandem after yesterday's trade. But just relax and go with the flow.
Would like to add more but I work for DoD and may have a 20% pay cut next month.
Got it at 3:45. Raised from my prior cost avg of 1.46 bringing my total shares to 110k. Hope I don't regret it long term.
(I usually hate bear raids when backpacking in Yosemite.)
Hey, I've had a bid for 10k at 1.65 most of the day and it hasn't filled yet. Darn it.
Then again lab tests on mice involving an immune response may not adequately represent the immune response of human patients at noted in a report in the New York Times last month. So Thorpe 's work can be questioned until proven in humans.

If you don't keep knocking she just goes back to bed without ever answering the door.
Maybe it is a critical phenomenon like a earthquake or the collapse of a sand pile. It takes several challenges by Bavi to awaken the immune system. One or two bavi infusions in the placebo line or one or two less in the 1ml/kg are not enough to elicit the response.
Bavi has to knock on the immune system's door several times on average before she gets out of bed, fixes her hair, adjusts her makeup and finally answers the door.
This makes sense to me in that nature would not want to have to readjust its response willi-nilli to every provocation.
I especially look forward to the scene with DD & AF and the wood chipper.
(Ok, ok DELETE)

Maybe when CP finishes his investigation he can start on a script for the Coen brothers: Fargo II.
With regard to the pfs of the first line trial, if I recall correctly, the clinicians who administered the trial pfs estimates were in line with past expectations for the placebo arm. The results from the independent (and probably blinded) evaluators were much longer, just sightly less than the bavi arm. So one could suspect a coding error here also leading to a randomization of the two arm scans for the independent evaluation team. Since the trial is not blinded at the clinician level they can not help but be influenced by expectations. Alternately, one could expect that the bavi was activating the immune system causing an inflammation of the tumor and an enhancement in physical size that was interpreted as a progression. I overheard some friends in the profession discussing the difficulty in evaluating pfs from x-ray scans. Its not easy. (I also have friends who work or have worked at the FDA and I do not ask them about drug trials, even hypotheticals. Any hint and they give you that deer in the headlights look.) So take it as you will. Conspiracy. As for me I refuse to bother myself with it. Just keep it on file as a possibility.
As a sage once stated "Do not attribute to malice (sabotage) what can be adequately explained by incompetence".

I'd like to raise my $ estimate from pi to 4pi:
2/11/13 $12.5664
(I believe irrational numbers are appropriate here.)
Thanks KT.
Humm...
Nice surprise for me this morning. I spent the last week out of contact snorkeling off Glover's Reef 30 mi off shore from mainland Belize. But combining the placebo and low dose Bavi arms will never result in a doubling of OS. Has someone figured out what to expect?
I thought that they already had an agreement with another small biotech mab lab for production if they get swamped.
I do hope that you do not assign equal probability to these three events!
Happy New Year from a dysfunctional Capitol Hill, DC.
I plan on going out to the Aikido dojo for an hour's practice before midnight and get slammed to the mat a hundred times or so. (Hey, I'm a small biotech investor.) Afterwords we celebrate and toast the new year.
Lets all hope for a prosperous 2013.
Or they do a reverse split.
Say 1 for 10.
"I hope your wright!"
Orville or Wilbur?
I doubt if Avid uses He but we physicists do. I'm just setting up an experiment and need to order a 50 or a 100 liter cryostat of liquid He.
I personally don't use it often these days but it is essential for research at our lab.
Hummm... Cold fusion... I'll have to tell a group at my lab about Bavi then. They're still beating that dead horse and they borrowed a piece of my equipment and haven't given it back yet.

Is the conventional Phase III pathway appropriate for a potentially revolutionary drug like Bavi?
Once again I recommend viewing this week's BioCentury webcast:

. The new FDA Breakthrough Pathway seems taylor made for a drug like Bavi.
