Thank you for posting that...
The best friend we have to defuse ''HOT AIR'' on these boards are facts staring US in the eyes...
Even the reborn NAYSAYERS are admiting that $4,000,000.00 Quarters are a done deal for this little company...
To get the right perspective on this one has to add, that all these ''paying relationships'' will be subject to the long awaited ''Cascading effect'' which shall increase the revenues substantially higher than can be punched into a calculator at present...
Digital way is looking for ''Many'' OEMS, and not just one. APS is contacted by ''Many'' Airlines and not just one. And there is the whole ''Travel Industry'' to add to that.
The infortainment market is a $500 billion market in Japan alone, and Eclipse IS AIMING AT THE NEW CAR MARKET. This is indeed a ''Huge'' market for EDIG and Eclipse..
And then you have the wireless and home entertainment markets...
So far,(3.5-4 years), this little company had to bear the brunt of verbal and economic abuse from the pundits of NEGATIVITY on these boards, and sharpie investors who would fleece it via shorting its stock for their own purpose...
It is pay back time in a big way...
My suggestion, do your investing based on what you perceive
are the manifest potential of this company's growth, and not some pronouncements by vacillating self declared pundits, with a 5 year old mentality, who say it will take 3 or 5 years more before this and that happen...
Good luck to you...

Tinroad...
Couldn't have said it better, even if I had an EE in Computer Sciences from MIT...
The fact is, someone has to make the two systems, ADVANCE'S voice command system, and EDIG's MP3 system "Dance together"...
Does EDIG have a chance to do the job? You bet....
Will EDIG'S MP3 system be a part of the ADVANCE'S comprehensive infotainment system, a foregone conclusion...
All in MHO...
Regards...Gilgamash...
Everyone knows that fact. Stating the obvious does not contibute to the discussion, and is only aimed at justifying a contrarian view, defelcting attention from the course of developments...
I posted a long time ago, that Pronounced Technology was the software used in the ADVANCE to give it the ability to respond to spoken American English commands...
My post addressed to 50+, related to having an MP3 capability incorporated into the existing capabilities of ECLIPSE COMMANDER ADVANCE...
If you change the "Seives" clouding your judgment, and re-read my post, you will undertand the thrust of the message...
Regards...Gilgamash
50+...Good morning...
Some one wrote a while back that we all "perceive" data posted here through the "seive" of our "mood", as is affected by the condition we find ourselves at the time...How true, how true...
As to Eclipse. Consider the following:
[b[FIRST: The docking station aimed at aftermarket.
1) EDIG worked with ECLIPSE. A fact...
2) ECLIPSE is a major player in mobile infotainment market. A fact...
3) Eclipse is aggressively after increasing their share of the market in the Automotive infotainment market, especially the high end portion. A fact...
4) The work EDIG had done for ECLIPSE up to CES related to the "DOCKING STATION", of which there was a mock up at CES. A fact...
5) The "DOCKING STATION" was designed for the "AFTER MARKET"...
EDIG had completed its work. ECLIPSE was to design how it would be "incorporated" with their systems, or for that matter any suystem, that was already in cars...A fact.
6) The delay in marketing of units up to CES was a function of ECLIPSE making a decision on the "design" issue. They were trying to gauge the "Pulse" of the Market, before committing to which way they would go. A logical deduction...
The response to the mock up of the docking station apparently was better than great. It excited the ECLIPSE people to a point where they revved up factories to produce the units, and have hastened their stated April-May time table to where now they are going to get their products in Good Guys by March...
SECOND: A "Platform" to be incorporated in units aimed at new car market. Units like ECLIPSE COMMANDER ADVANCE, which have full audio-vedio-GPS-Cell Phone-MP3-etc., and are voice activated...
1) Eclipse does have the COMMANDER ADVANCE, with fully voice integration... A fact...
2) EDIG makes MP3 players that accept voice commands. A fact
3) Is EDIG working on such a "platform" to be part of the voice activated compehensive infotainment unit called ECLIPSE COMMANDER ADVANCE? We do not know. That is why I used he words "Immagine"...Is it likely that EDIG is called upon to do the design work for such a "Platform", you bet...
To put it in a nut shell; The "docking station" aimed at the "After market", of which EDIG had already worked on 4000 units, is being produced and shall hit the market first. My take is that ECLIPSE was very excited by the reaction of the customers and wants to "Jump" in this market in a big way, and have placed ORDERS with EDIG for additional units...
As to the work done by EDIG on the COMMANDER ADVANCE, I asked those questions at CES and got no where. The answers I got were
clear that no one would say anything until the units were to hit the market...
The fact that EDIG has a wroking relationship with Eclipse, the fact that they are very satisfied with the response of their customers with the docking station idea, the fact that EDIG has the best voice NAV in the MP3 markets, the fact that ECLIPSE COMMANDER ADVANCE is fully voice activated and any MP3 unit incorporated with it must have voice navigation ability, all point to the logical deduction that we will see the EDIG work with Eclipse extend to the NEW CAR MARKET arena also...
Regards...Gilgamash...
Bob Z...
Log on to this cite. Click on products, then click on the upper right hand block...
You will see the "Ultimate" in the mobile entertainment systems...
Eclipse really was excited by the reception they got from OEMS and "customers" at CES...
They don't show the "docking Station" on their product list as yet. They had a mock up of it at CES, and said had some "Outside Design" problems which they expected to solve by April-May...
Looks from the news that have come out, they have revved up the production schdeule and plan to have their products in Good Guys by March...
Their top of the line model, ECLIPSE COMMANDER TEN, does have everything, including Vedio, Audi, GPS maps, etc.. and it is all voice activated...
Immagine, driving down the Highway 10 to Grand Canyon, and you say MP3 ON, few seconds later, you say Beatles-Yellow Submarine, and lay back and take in the mirage over the sand doones of desert, as Sun sets...
Oh yes, there is Vedio also. Nvigate the site, it is amazing.

emit...Speaking of USB ports...
The Vio has three of them. However, everyone turned to be not the "HIGH SPEED USB PORT" that was called for by the Windows Media. When I tried to use it, a windowe would pop up, saying that the "Device-0-1000", was a high speed one, and the port was not good enough for it...
It did give you the option to continue, if you checked the "OK"
button to signify that you wanted to go ahead anyway...
I did...It still did not work...
These problems should be solved fast. A lot of technically challanged customers like me are potential buyers, and can get frustrated eay...Not good for sales...
Regards...Gilgamash...
emit...
From what I have figured so far, the problem is in the Windows Medi Player...
When you first click on it, it does pop up a window, which asks you to disable a "secure" button which aims at allowing copying to one computer only...
You are gievn the option of disabling it, after you promise to give your first born to MSFT, should what you copy end up on the NET...
Somehow, I think this also may interfere with getting the Music Match Juke box, and the MXP music explorer loaded on to the laptop...
Lots of XP computers out there...We should get this solved ASAP
before the reviews hit it...

First review of ODYSSEY 1000
"I got my ODYSSEY 1000 last Thursady(feb 6, 2002) through DHL overnight delivery, opened box, pluged in, so far I have nothing to complain, this is one mp3 player has what all user asking for which are feature, functionality and easy to use. Mp3 sound qulity are superb with WOW sound effect, the mp3 player option are one of the best, it has play all, play folder, play subfolder, repeat all, repeat folder, repeat subfolder, repeat track, shuffle all, shuffle folder, shuffle sub folder...anyway you like, another reason I like it is that it has a big scroll wheel in the middle of the player, because many of my mp3 songs, some have high volumne and some have low volume when ripped form cd, tape or another media, now after I connect to my tape adapter in my car, everytime when I need to adjust volume, I just simplye scroll the big scrool wheel in the middle of the mp3 player, then the blue screen would light up at the same time when I adjust volume. The sound recoder and radio work very well, and the player is made in Korea, consider many of today most of flat panel monitor are made in Korea. the only bad thing is that the voice navigation is almost impossible to use, so far I only get voice command "next" worked, and you have to speak loud to the mic when surrounding is very quite, assume you doing this in a crowd area, people might call police on ya. so I guess this technology need little bit more time to become mature. Besides that, this is almost perfect mp3 player which has all the feature I've been waiting for, mp3, radio, mass storge, usb 2.0, recoder. that's why I ordered it as soon as it came out.
Hollywoodhills...
The Eclipse people at CES were not worried about re-orders...
They were reving up assembly lines based on the response they got at CES...
The fact it is coming up in two weeks instead of April-May, as originally planned, is an indication of their rush to market to meet the demand...

A conciliatory response from MATT I-HUB Administrator...

"Whether you believe it or not, I see your point. However, when I speak of the general stock, open boards, they are much like a park in a city. Anybody can come there who wants to play in the sand. As long as they play by the rules.
What you are talking about (and apparently misunderstood or I misrepresented) is an exlcusive club. I like the idea, but not in the way some are thinking. I don't have a problem with it being a sort of offshoot of the main board for those who really want to be in the "club" ... but I have a certain criteria I will maintain for the general, open boards. If you want a closed-end board, that's something Bob and I have to hammer out.
You guys can run and do as you want. THis problem has escalated fast and hard. I'm trying to come up with a viable solution to make all happy."
He is, apparently, amenable to a "Closed-end board."...
This, certainly presents a possible solution for those who are sick and tired of wasting time wading through reams of garbage to get to the few "informative" posts about how EDIG is doing, to move on mass to such a Board envisioned by MATT...
Perhaps, the details could be worked out by Tinroad, LGJ, MATT and GoSilver, and posted here...

Thank you Joe...I am right there behind you...
I wrote a long private message to MATT, who recommended a "PRIVATE BOARD" yesterday. In essence, my sentiments were exactly what you express. In the last minute,I decided against sending it because, like you, I concluded it was an "Internal" I-Hub problem...
When I paid them my "Life time membership" I beleived, like you do, that this "WAS A BASHER FREE BOARD". Apparently, they decided to change the "LAW" as MATT puts it...
Thank you for all your good work, and hope this coming shareholder meeting we can celebrate the demise of BASHERS and their fellow travelers over a dinner that I am buying...

Assuming you are right, and there were some "mixed signals"...
Pause and consider...
There are probably no more than 6 people involved in getting the shipments, unloading the crates, checking the uints, arranging for the filling of orders, answering calls and e-mail from potential customers, and anxious shareholders,(like yourself), and doing a host of other tasks, like sending the unit for Reviews...
Give them a break...
