Agreed. I'm 98% convinced the folks over at Gold spring are for real. There are just to many professional people's reputations with skin in the game. Debt conversion on reasonable terms and production will make this puppy fly. A constant revenue stream to fund further exploration of the com stock lode will hopefully be a fantastic investment. The name change and web site are nice but LODE still needs to bring home the bacon. I think and hope they will.
Cheers,

Big gap between the bid and the ask. Bid 1.25 ask 1.49.
I would not call it flashy. It's simple clean professional and to the point. The new name sounds better and will also help inform potential investors of the areas rich history. Typing in comstock on google comes up with a "lode" of good stuff.
Cheers,

Clever logo. I think it's a play on the square sets used exclusivley at first in the comstock, and invented by Philipp Deidesheimer. "One night at a party, Deidesheimer's host -- a bee-keeper -- showed him his bee-hives. Deidesheimer suddenly saw those hives with a new set of eyes. Their cellular structure was remarkably strong and light. Why not? he thought. Why not! He rushed from the party to his office. Three days later he took a completely new sort of structure down into the mines."
I like the face lift now we just need some slick production to match our slick new name and look. Bashers be damned...GO LODE!

new web site looks great. http://www.comstockmining.com/
Terrific Stuff!!! I've been saying all along that we should be marketing this company as the Comstock Lode. Now we need some financing and some mining and we are off to the races. A nice clean slick web site would be nice too. Looks like the new CEO is finally on the right track. Wicked ticker, LODE I love it. It would be nice to keep that ticker when we move over to AMEX. Hopefully the best is yet to come. Best of luck to all. The mighty Comstock shall rise again!!!

Good point. A royalty deal would lock in at todays price so I guess that is a...plus on my B+ ha ha. Hopefully Moelis can bring more deep pocket buddies with real financing to get the ball mill rolling again. I'm looking for another positive PR once we head back to gspg and lose the d. I don't know anything about charts but it looks like we are holding the line just fine and if anyone sells at bargain prices it will probably fill my ridiculously low order and I'll be happy. I'm more of a glass is half full type guy.

It does lend some credibility to the operation when Moelis spends 150,000 of his own cash. A guy like Moelis can't afford to be involved in shady deals, (one would hope). Personaly I'd prefer to see something along the lines of a Silver Weaton royalty deal with out the 8% but I guess beggers can't be choosers. Nice to see our deal maker has seen the potential and has some skin in the game. Buys us time but time costs 8% so some production related news right about now would be nice. I give this news a B+ ha ha.
GO GSPG!

Thanks V,
Gold is breaking 1250 again. Just read that if you want to buy gold in Greece the asking price is $1700. That's a big premium.I think $1700 is where we might be headed in the next 5 years or so. If gspg can catalog there estimated 3 million in reserves. Rough math:
1700-400cost=1300 per OZ profit. oz3millx$1300= $3,900,000,000
Who knows what that number would be if silver takes off?
We could be sitting on a gold mine here. ha ha

13888 shares traded hands today. Ultra low volume. That's about
$20,000 worth of trades. Manipulators will do there best to scare us out of our shares in the coming months. I'll be coming in with more ammo if progress is evident. Right now it's a Mexican standoff.
GO GSPG!

The share price is not tanking. It's dipping on very low volume to pre split levels. Not a cause for concern. Probably manipulators buying and selling to each other. I'd buy more but I'm out of ammo.

Well, yes and no. Yes some PR right about now would be nice and no because we are down on fairly low volume. I think shares are still being held tightly by most folks. Best days ahead IMO.

200 to one reverse stock split. Take todays price and dived by 200. We are currently trading at 0.007 old terms. If you had a million shares you now have 5000. Really nothing has changed except we are getting good volume and trading higher. So the split appears to have been a success. Just hold on or buy the dips IMO.

Well, it's certainly much better than some of the enemic trading days we had pre split. I'll take it and say glass half full on the results of the split so far. Also an interesting article here for people who think gold has been in a ten year bubble.

Nice close today. Heavy volume too. Hardly out of the gate and traded 36,258,200 on the day in pre split terms, not bad. Plenty of tape painting that was gobbled up IMO. I noticed that our market cap has been changed on yahoo finance to 5.30B? Is the B for billion?
Cheers,

News Flash to naysayers! We are not falling we are in fact holding the same ground nicely. I will bet that in the next days and weeks people will have to pay a post split premium as all of the perceived pre/post split buying risk will be gone with the wind. Additionally as other risks in this company are eliminated the share price will reflect the risk reward premium. Slowly removing the sharks from the pool will bring in more swimmers but the price to get in the pool will go up accordingly. There are still alot of people looking through the fence on this one. Investors with lower risk tolerance will start getting there toes wet as the coast becomes clear and progress is evident.
Good luck fellow longs,
Cheers,

In my opinion all it will take is a while to form a post split base and few positive announcements showing solid progress. 1)Financing sorted, last of the permits, feasibility study, updated 43-101. We must also remember that GSPG for all it's faults is much closer than most junior exploration companies. It's kind of the the prettiest ugly girl in the room because it's moving toward production in a fantastic area with plenty of room to grow. All the positives will start to out weigh the negatives in short order. As soon as our girl get's contacts instead of glasses and her braces are removed she'll be a true beauty. All the boys will wish they could have dated her back when... Mark my words.

Yes but gold is on a steady rise for many reasons and IMO will easily reach 1300 by years end regardless of what the stock market chooses to do. Gold related stocks will be along for the ride. The latest country to come out of the closet today is Hungary, then it's probably Spain,Portugal and Ireland, then further down the road who knows. Gold will be the preferred currency during these times not USD and golds cousin silver will be sling shot up into the stratosphere. We have ample of both. Only a matter of time. Call me a fool but I think gspg could be sitting on a bloody gold mine, ha ha.

Good civil discussions today everyone. Interesting perspectives. I look forward to positive news from management to finally get this ball mill rolling. Best of luck to all fellow longs.

Could be interesting. I have a hunch some buyers are waiting in the wings until after the reverse spilt and the dust settles. The wait and see approach. Smart really. I hold a large position but I am somewhat in that camp as well. I have some cash ready to pick up more if positive progress is evident.
Good luck all,

Just took a quick look over at Yahoo board. Wow ,something has the full time basher posting crew all hot and bothered. Hopefully only a matter of time before they all eat crow.

How could I forward anything? There is no investor relations. I have tried the query thing on there crappy brown web site before in the past. Who knows if it even works no confirmation, nothing? Maybe someone who has contact with them could forward it along. BTW I checked out PMU and it does look promising. Also they have a simple nice web site that gspg could learn from. How about using some actual photos of your operations instead of some gold bars image with a white copy write X through it for a start. Sheesh.
Cheers,
D
Yup 100% agree. If you want to look at a successful stock PR campaign just look at Osisko. They moved a whole dang town to get at the gold. Not many more ounces than us and much more cost to get at it. They had very open interviews, a very informative and slick web site with media, adds on Kitco etc. etc. I think an official name change from Goldspring to Comstock mines would be a good idea aswell Goldspring sounds small time hokey. Why not capitalise on the rish history of the area and use the name. Just my two bits. If I was CEO I'd be running a much tighter ship.
Cheers,
D
Could it be that gspg is trying to time a RS with an updated 43-101 quantifying actual "bankable" reserves instead of the half ass results we currently have. They need more infill drilling and some environmental jumping through hoops to make it actually "bankable". Hopefully they can deliver all these things. Until this important criteria is met it's just dirt to financiers. Come on gspg jump through those hoops. Show us the money.
Cheers,
D
Extreme you are correct. We do have about 2 billion in PM's currently but only about 1 billion of that meets 43-101 criteria because of drill spacing. I would imagine that the current round of in fill drilling will alow them to bump it up closer to the 2 billion. Hopefully an updated 43-101 will be arriving soon after the split.

Gold just hit new all time high $1249! Silver is just under $20 with plenty of room left to move. This could get interesting.
D
Could it be that Winfield has started converting. Gobbling up the remaining shares could squeeze the float. After the reverse once Winfield is fully in with the rest of us common peasants we could start to go up even more. Why not?
D
I have been testing the waters for a little while now. My $500 order @ .0066 did not fill at all today or yesterday. Although, I had a similar order that did fill 2 days ago. I'm thinking this is probably a good sign. Also, it's beginning to look like $1500 gold and $30 silver are coming maybe sooner than I thought ei next 2 years or sooner. Of coarse we will have some pull backs along the way but it looks like it's a perfect storm for silver and gold. Can our gspg boat ride the perfect storm into the finish line or will she sink? Does the tide raise all boats? Extreme, if all goes well for the SS gspg what do you figure the trading price would be at those future projected metal prices. Then what would that share price be if we hit our 3 million ounces in the gspg plan at those levels? Will we hit that dime or 20$ post split terms. Hmmmm.
Thanks,
D
Hey Extreme,
I remember Jim Golden in a radio interview figured there cost per oz would be $370. What cost per OZ are you using in your calculations? My rudimentary math is as follows.
1,730,221 oz gold x $1185 per oz= $2,050,311,885
1,730,221 x $370 cost = $640,181,770
$2,050,331,885 profit-$640,181,770 cost= $1,410,130,115 net profit
Divided by --years to process and # of shares? Not sure what market cap or pps that is but 1.4 billion looks like a nice tidy profit and enough to fund further drilling. What's yer take?
Cheers,
D
The price may dip post split or it might hold or go up if things start moving forward in an orderly fashion. Take yer pick. If they find up to 3 million ounces or big bonanza then who knows?. Gold could go up, a joint venture or buy out could happen. Or the hole thing could go tits up but I doubt it. You just never know. Tis a gamble no matter how one looks at it but the gold is there and history is on our side so the odds are better than most. I may be completely wrong but I've decided to hang tight.
Cheers,
D
Up 11.43%. Hmmmmm. I'd say some people are taking advantage of the lower price and converting debt owed into common shares today... Just a hunch. I know that's what I'd be doing. I'd also bet that most people who plan to sell before the split probably have already done so, at least the ones who are willing to maybe take a loss. I myself have decided to hold through thick and thin. Even though I don't agree with some of there actions I've come to far with this company to bail now. I trust and like Jim Golden and that's probably the main reason I'm holding. Anyway this summer should be interesting. Best of luck to all like me who have decided to stick it out with the com stock lode. Time will tell.
Cheers,
D
Agreed, Faber and Golden were very clear that an IG7 was preferred by them over 43-101 and yes they stated they almost had it done some time ago. Something must have changed there opinion. It does appear that a 43-101 is more recognized. They probably realized the report needed to be conducted and verified by a recognized third party in order to be taken seriously. I still think there may have been some issues with getting the numbers up to IG7 standards too. I guess if you only have money for one report you would choose the 43-101. I'd still like to see a IG7 and 43-101 spin off from that. I guess GSPG will be showing all it's cards when the 43-101 is released. Let's hope the profit margins are as high as I think they can be.
Cheers,
D
Why not do an IG7 as originally planned ? If an IG7 has more detail could you not then spin a 43-101 off from it for these supposed international investors? Or is it because they don't have the criteria needed to meet the IG7 standard ie not enough drill holes or having to move the road etc. I don't buy this 43-101 crap even though I am Canadian. An IG7 would ad some much needed credibility to this company and give the investors bankable reserves under binding US law. I know 43-101's are fairly common but a IG7 would give gspg a shot in the arm of credibility it needs. This change plus the huge A/S post split and the push to 2011 has left alot of unhappy campers in it's wake. Just my two bits. I'll wait for Extreme to spin this in a positive fashion as always. Most of is knew gspg needed a IG7 or 43-101 years ago. Hard to believe they are just figuring this out now. Come on gspg throw us a bone. Sheesh.
Cheers,
D
Frankie, I don't understand your financier comments? Our single largest financier John Winfield will become the single largest common share holder upon conversion of debt to equity thus ending the current debt payments. This is a good thing and hopefully it's a vote of confidence on behalf of Winfield. I don't really understand what your going on about this smelling like a rose business unless your talking about a future investor who has the millions required to get the project off the ground. A company like Silver Weaton could come along and buy silver upfront at discount before it come out of the ground BUT THEY WILL ONLY DO IT WITH AN IG7 TO MAKE IT BANKABLE. Silver Weaton would then smell like a rose and that is why I own Silver Weaton stock. Either way until production gets rolling to fund the operation a financing party will get there pound of flesh and yes smell like a rose. That's a no brainier, kind of a mute point and is I think is already priced in to the pps. So going on about that is kind of yesterdays news IMO. If GSPG's IG7 has costs and details that are favorable then IMO the pps will be going up. Until the IG7 details are released it's all hot air and speculation on our part and gspg's. Most of us here have made educated guesses/speculations that large quantities of gold and silver at relatively low depths in a historically proven area will be very profitable. Hopefully the infill drilling being conducted currently is to finalize an IG7 report. The thing that ticks me off is I should not have to say "hopefully" as they should have stated exactly in the PR what they are going to be up to for the rest of 2010. Morons or geniuses? The jury is still out.
Dear GSPG,
If you can't produce gold and silver in 2008, 2009 or 2010 the least you could do is produce a bloody IG7 mine plan. Produce something other than BS in 2010 please. Bloody morons
Patience is wearing thin.
D
Agreed Thistime,
I've been asking about the IG7 report for a little over a year now. I would like to see a mine plane and the reserves made official in writing before I vote yes on a reverse split. Rumored infill drilling is being conducted right now. Is this beeing done to to make an IG7 possible I'd like to see an official PR regarding this rumour and many other things before I vote. So far the "investor awarness program" around the reverse split is in over drive, "sarcasm". Guess they want to keep the price low for now so Ol' Winnie can convert at a nice low fear split price. Time for GSPG to show it's hand IMO.
Cheers,
D
You are forgetting that by converting debt to equity we are all in the same boat. GSPG will produce.
Cheers,
D
