Time will tell. GLTA
Dreams do come true. In the meantime, it is a blessing for people like you who continue to provide info that gives the other members hope. I'm still here because of hope and things that I see. Hope to meet you one day. All my best, Jim
A very positive development, this new deal. Hey, for all the dot connectors out there, I wonder if Scanbuy and Neomedia were competing for the same deal and Neom won. Wouldn't that be a blast if we're starting to win deals on our own? I, for one, sure am ready for some good news. GLTA, Jim PS-thanks again for all your good research you bring, JP, it is appreciated.
Soon enough to the deadline to see if this company can really begin to do something right. If the deal or deals go thru and 10 million plus or minus materializes, I think it will be the biggest revenue generation in this companies history. How can so many make this out to be a bad thing? Why split hairs about the exact meaning of a word? Time will tell. I have been an investor in this company for many years and I am willing to wait another 30 days. I am willing to reserve judgment till then. However, in the middle of a lawsuit, it would seem a funny time to put out a pr that turned out to be misleading. Time will tell. Tick tock tick tock. Jim
Happy 4th of July to you too and all. Time to reflect and enjoy the freedoms we enjoy because of the love of liberty and sacrifices of those who went before us. Jim
Catalysts are interesting things. They transform one thing into another by their addition. What will this catalyst{lawsuit} do for the retail shareholders of Neom? My opinion-it will force the board of Neom to figure out a way to make this company go-without the credit card. MY opinion-it just may give other companies the reason to buy Neom now and end the poor performance of management of this company. No info-just my own private thoughts. Mr Claw, you could be the catalyst. With the absolute silence of the BOD of this company, especially from the 1st of this year, I do not see any other reasonable action. GLTA, Jim
Thanks for all your due diligence over the years. I still have some hope for this company but am beginning to wonder if the success will be because of or in spite of its management decisions. 370 people. JP, you have almost that many member marks. A group of committed people. I believe POPTECH suggested that a news release with google and neom meant a sale of neom. We shall soon know. All I know for sure is the way this company is going cannot continue the way it is. And revenues still seem 6 months to a year out from what I see. I'm hanging out to see what the special meeting brings. A number of things suggest something is up, but we shall see. My best to all, Jim
BE CONFIDENT. The company has a year to do a reverse split. My 2 cents-this is a contingency for YA that if they don't do a reverse split right away, YA can keep right on diluting. I realize this is some dot connecting, but what are ya gonna do when NEOM chooses to keep us in the dark as to what is really happening. Looking forward to next week, We'll see if we get any bones. GLTA, Jim
We need financing without further dilution. In a word, that benefits investors. July is coming up fast for much of the debt coming due. And I totally agree that the PR with Neustar extending the agreement with Neom is big. But what will really drive this thing is revenue. And there has been some revenue with no need for further financing for four months till now. But the market doesn't know it. No PR about revenue. Also what will drive this thing is showing that it works in the marketplace. And if the first marketplace to demonstrate it is Mexico, then great. Let's see a large scale rollout and acceptance. Big marketing campaigns.GLTA, Jim
That is the 64 dollar question. There are a number of things that I wonder about. Scanbuy settling. Bems. Publicis. Honeywell.CTIA. Neustar. The positive experience here has been the richness of the posters here. I am still long, still looking for the rainbow. And I very much look forward to this board.GLTA, Jim
Good thoughts, IMO. I look forward to the next four months with no more dilution. It is unbelievable, almost, to me that YA has agreed to stop milking for four months. I can't interpret that any other way than there are interested party or parties in the process of making some kind of deal, merger, new financing. The opening of a new office in New York is also interesting. We have waited so long to see something good come out of this stock. Because we don't know what is going on behind the scenes, I suggest waiting for another four months to see what happens. There will be plenty of time after May 5th to look at other options. Until then, GLTA. Time will tell. All in my humble opinion, Jim
Then, my only question would be, why the 120 day period of no sale of stock by YA or Neom? I believe that also is a provision of this filing. To me, that says sale of the company all over it. Thoughts? Anyone? GLTA, Jim
Good post Elliot. Appreciate your comments. It is a blessing to me all that has been accomplished since last Feb. The pps doesn't reflect it yet, but there are not great revenues coming in yet. I expect that to change shortly, sooner rather than later. The latest thing that encourages me is Google entering the space. And Ian's attitude about that-we want them to do well and at the appropriate time, they will talk to us-paraphrased. What's next? My opinion-the awarding of the clearinghouse to Neustar and then new financing of some sort that ends YA dilution. Time will tell.GLTA, Jim
Congrats SOG. It's been a long time coming. But oh how sweet it must be for you now. Now lets get some good news from Neom about revenue, new financing, clearinghouse awarded and get this thing done. GLTY, Jim
Merry Christmas to you too. What a wild ride this last year has been. It is like a house being built. Some look at the house and ask why it is not finished yet. Some look at it and say it will never be finished. Some say it should have been finished a long time ago. Others look at it and see the wonder of it going up and dream about what the finished house will look like. To all, no matter what you see, time will tell. Christ's blessings to all as we celebrate His coming to this earth. Jim
Merry Christmas from Rockford, Illinois-near Chicago.
In any event, still waiting for "scoop." Message 200737 referenced the scoop to be released later this week after shareholders were notified. Hope it's something for us. GLTA, Jim
Thanks for your DD and your enthusiasm. Time will tell if this a Neom app or not but great to see this tech being used. GLTA, Jim
Enjoy your posts. Also your excellent info, which I believe, in part, has led to YA attempting to play by rules. Speaking of paper trails, as I understand it, YA has converted about 800 million shares into the float from converting series C after the authorized date of Feb 2009. How in the world does that get fixed? BTW, I vote for incarceration. The blowtorch and napalm are too quick and do not make up for the years of suffering that shareholders have endured. GLTA, Jim
I agree with you. Neom has generated enough revenue to need no loans for almost 4 months. That is definitely positive. However, Neom has chosen, for whatever reason, not to PR the revenue coming in. Only the deals and settlements. So the market doesn't know that any revenue has come in. Evidently, the revenue came in just a wee bit late to make it on the last quarterly statement. And, there has not even been an announcement of a quarterly CC. I emailed Neom asking for info about a CC two weeks ago. So far, no reply. My feelings at this moment are a bit frustrated with Neom management for providing so little info about the sompany. I also emailed IM asking if his contract was to be extended. No reply on that either. Frustrated and long. GLTA, Jim
Good Post. I would only add that a PR with no revenue draws the flippers but a PR with revenue will draw investors. GLTA, Jim
You sure make a guy think, BE CONFIDENT. This character reminds me of Thomas Edison. He developed direct current for electrical distribution. George Westinghouse developed alternating current. The worlds fair held a competition for whose system would be used. Westinghouse won for several important reasons. Edison was so ticked off, he would not let Westinghouse use his lite bulbs that were patented. Westinghouse went on to develop his own design for lite bulbs. Point is, when people are ticked off or have an overly inflated ego, they can't see the forest for the trees thru their ego. Years ago, I think NEOM had an ego like another big company does today. The race is on, only the names are changed. Who will get their ego out of the way and win in the mobile arena? Time will tell. BTW, it seems to me that a certain poster, with no shares, but a relentless urge to post the same info over and over and over is not posting for our benefit, but rather is trying to convince another audience, using this board to do it. Suggestion, everybody ignore responding as long as he is not looking for info, only looking to broadcast his agenda. JMO,GLTA, Jim PS What I see in IM is a man not witholding anything from anyone, but working with many to bring this ecosystem to the public. Everything I've seen in the last year supports this view.
Be, thanks for all your DD. A happy Thanksgiving to all. I will enoy a day away from this stock. Question-IM's contract goes to next summer, does it not? If something were needing to be extended, wouldn't it be the bonus to IM for a change in control if nothing materialized by Dec 10? TIA, Jim
Good comment. Say, on another note, a poster recently stated that there was absolutely no evidence of anyone buying Neom. However, there have been interesting dots to consider. Financial housecleaning this year several times at Neom. Statements from YA that we aren't interested in owning Neom, only getting them running. This would seem to open the door wide open to taking the financing to the next levels by others. IM's own statements of looking for alternate funding. I don't remember, who did YA bring in recently-was it another financial firm? A deadline in IM's contract for a bonus. War between MS and Google for supremacy in global marketing. Neom's associations with some of the biggest advertisers in the world. Neom's filing about a posible change in control-that directors salaries be reduced until that happens. It reminds me so much of the time just before the settlement with Scanbuy that was totally in favor of Neom. It was not for sure at the time, but there sure were dots out there and some said they meant nothing. Others saw a settlement as absolutely necessary for this technology to explode on the scene. Who's right? I feel as if we are very close to knowing for sure, and I also feel that all the dots portend some very interesting days ahead. Everyone needs to connect the dots for themselves, but there sure are a lot of them. People watching a volcano that hasn't exploded for sometime still can see signs of it coming to life. And I've been watching signs since LM came on board. Especially enjoy your well thought out comments. GLTA JMO, Jim Ps-it is funny that whenever something good happens to price of Neom stock some look for reasons why. Everyone that I read was focused on Friday but the chart on Thursday was also great. What's going on? Time will tell. One other thing,Neom has gane from .0011 to 1.5 cents since early Sep.
Very good question. I was wondering the same thing that possibly YA got an opinion that the SEC filings actually meant what they said-no more conversion of Series C after Feb 2009. Also, one other thought that the conversions were about to stop because YA needed the shares for a new investor to come in. But, in any event, I sure was happy to see debt being cashed in instead of Series C. Hope it continues. GLTA, Jim
Silversmith, I very much regard your posts and thought the letter you wrote to IM was excellent. I did not realize you were looking for input. I don't believe you need much. Send the letter as is. You have keen insight and communication skills. Trust your gut. GLTA, Jim
Yes, absolutely. When Ian took control, there was not very much to see in the way of value. The patents were being reviewed, the company was being sued and no licenses granted to other companies. Look at the low end of the sale price put on by YA. 45 million. At that point, it would seem YA would've been happy to just get their money back. The replacement of YA would mean they not only got their money back but also got a very decent return. It would be a very big win for YA as well as a very big win for NEOM. The replacement of the emergency funding with a reasonable funding that reflects the current reality of this company. I see it as a win for both and a solid win for Ian in turning this company into a respectable investment as noted by all the companies they partner with.Look at all the major companies that see value in NEOM. I believe the share price will follow. GLTA, Jim
Also, that, since Neom's suit was dismissed "with predjudice",Neom has the right to go back to court against Scanbuy, in the future, but not Scanbuy, as I understand the posts here. BC, quick question, why were there two provisions in IM's contract? One for a possible sale by Dec 10 and also a grant of 32 million shares? Were they trying to cover both bases-one for a possible sale, the other for a bonus for continuing to get the company on track? Or are the shares just part of his compensation as head of the company? TIA, Jim
That might be a little bit of a stretch. 11/11 09 is veterans day. Markets may not even be open. I'm not sure about that. Hey, I'll predict news tomorrow. Who will take Tuesday? If we get someone to take every day, someone will be right.GLTA,Jim
That is certainly a possibility. I think, though, there needs to be additional investors to get rid of the toxic funding. YA would still retain control of 1 billion warrants unless there is a total buyout. New investors would give them the ability to get all their investment back, with premium and interest and still have free shares. JMHO, GLTA, Jim PS None of us knows how this is going to play out, however I just can't see Neom continuing and blooming into the company it could be without new investors. The marketplace is moving too fast. Looking at other fields, when a little biotech company develops a blockbuster drug for something, many times the company is bought out. I'm not saying this is the only possibility here. YA has quite an interest in Neom and I think could structure a deal with only a partial buyout. Time will tell. Jim
Also interesting the interview with the CEO of Google. He openly insulted Microsoft as in, I don't really think about Microsoft. MS can instead take this as a challenge to be a better competitor in the marketplace. Which, right now, a giant step would be to join, partner with, buy out all or part of Neom. I don't honestly know the right answer, but I do know they need help from somewhere to get rid of this terrible financing package they have now. So they can fly. And now is the time for this to happen. Not only for our sakes, but for the sake of the marketplace. Seems like there were four HUGE roadblocks to Neom ever amounting to something. Patent review, partnering with clearinghouse and major ad agencies, lawsuits, and toxic financing. Three down, one to go. That's the news I'm looking for, a new investor of some shape.JMHO, GLTA, Jim
Thanks. The win-win-win is all I have been seeing this year.HUGE companies partnering with Neom along with the patent validation and Scanbuy licensing. It would also make sense to have Ian around for at least six months after a change in control. Would make the deal sweeter. It also speaks tons to me that there has been no notice of a CC. Now, of all times, there are some really good things that have transpired since the last CC. Makes me feel like Ian is thinking, you think the news lately is good, just be patient a litle longer. I have held quite a few number of stocks over the years, but this is the one I have held the longest, by far. Ian, don't let me down. BC, thanks for all your well thought out posts and keeping going even when you were shot at a lot, especially at first. But when you came around, you were a breath of fresh air and a new perspective that I needed to hear. Many thanks for your encouragement. Glta and many thanks to all who share all the great info and DD here. Jim
My mixed feelings about a possible sale are in regard to not knowing what the offer might be. I would have some pretty good feelings if it was .50 or better. But why does the change in control have to happen before the end of this year? At times,it sure would be nice to be a fly in some board rooms. I depend on you and others to help connect the dots. I will be so glad when those days are finally over. But it sure has been an interesting education in different people's perspectives on the same information. BTW, is tomorrow the big day for news? Just having fun. GLTA, Jim
You sure get a guy thinking. Time will tell. What I'M looking forward to is the quarterly statement. At the last CC,Neom did not have cash to go past Sep 15. Yet they have gone by Sep 15 with no add'l funding from YA. And they went past Oct 15. And we're coming up on Nov.15 real soon. What I'd really like to know is if there will be no more need for add'l YA funding. And where the revenues are coming from. It is amazing to me all that has happened this year. It's like seeing a rocket ship being built. You get close to the end of assembly and start wondering, when is this thing gonna fly? And the added time constraint of Ian's bonus. Doesn't it seem odd that he was given a 2 year contract and then given an 18 month deadline to sell the company for a bonus? I have mixed feelings about a possible sale. We shall soon see. I see the need for fresh capital to get YA out of this company. GLTA,Jim Oh,JMLOHO
It ends when the corporate heads make good decisions. In the past,Neom directors made terrible decisions which almost led to bankruptcy. YA came along and offered financing to keep the lights on and hope alive. The terms were terrible, but Neom was not in a position to reject the only offer on the table. Since that time, YA has brought in a new CEO Ian McCready. Since he came on board I have seen one good corporate decision after another. Laura Marriott came on board, Dean Woods also. The patent dispute settled and the lawsuit settled on his watch. The deal with Neustar, Bems and many others in advertising. Has it gone to the moon yet? No, but I see good corporate decisions being made one after the other and I respect Mr. Mccready's leadership. I also respect YA for choosing him. I see a totally different company today than 4 years ago, but it takes time to correct past mistakes. Ian has stated that he is working on bringing in other financing and I believe he will. JMLOHO GLTA,Jim
MIKEE, My intent was not to jump on anyone, including you. Please don't take it that way. My only intent was to ask for some DD under an opinion so I can see and weigh the point. GLTA, Jim PS- I've been here for many years as well.
I am expecting to see some revenue as the reason no more loans from YA have taken place since AUG. But, you are right, bigger news will be next year in Feb. as far as quarterly report goes. GLTA, Jim
There's opinions and then there is DD. I don't have any respect for an opinion with no DD behind it. You'll notice the people who are really solid about this company are the same ones who have done a lot of DD and come to their opinions based on theirs and others DD. I really don't understand either why this stock price is so low after all the great things that have happened this year. But all of the things that have happened have not resulted in reportable revenues as yet, even though we know it has been almost 3 months since any cash from YA got thrown in the till. But the market looks at revenues in valuing companies. Hoping for some good news from the last quarter within a couple weeks. Do your own DD before coming to opinions on this company. JMHO, and good luck to all, Jim
For all you dot connectors out there. Could it be as simple as YA continuing to convert so that when a buyout offer is made, the shareholders vote to take it. The truth is we don't know what is going on behind the scenes. I sent an email to IAN over last weekend asking if the deadline for selling the company was going to be extended past Dec 10. No word yet. Now that would be a piece of news that would be useful. Before the scanbuy settlement, there were very few that saw the settlement as imminent. Claw was one of the few. And fewer yet that expected it to be so totally in favor of NEOM, except, as I remember, stock raving mad. There are some people that really see the value in this company. But I can't say it is mainstream yet, although there are many hopeful signs and partnerships. And it really encourages me, no funds since Aug from YA. This speaks to me that revenue is coming in. However, the investment community doesn't know that.Neom give a PR on that somehow. I wouldn't try to talk anybody into or out of anything. However, I don't agree with the idea that anyone who does anything othr than hold a long position is the only right way to invest in this stock. That has been my position, I have absolutely no problem with the flippers and the people who try to improve their position. If I had more guts, I might try to improve my position. But I have seen such major news in the last 8 months, along with this Dec 10 deadline, that I am holding. My rant is done, GLTA,Oh,JAHO,Jim
Wow. I thought the deadline was Dec 31. Dec 10 is coming up really fast. We should have a CC between now and then. Some good questions for that call. Thanks for all you do JPETRO. GLTA, Jim
