Which ones? The ones on birth control, or the ones on Medicare?
I was wondering if you find PBR interesting here? or at what price might you find it so?
You mean you don't think prefunding for 75 yrs and payable over 10 yrs is a tad much???? esp in light of 100,000-200,000 draw down in personel in the next few yrs. BTW, the PO has overpaid into their FERS retiree fund by 6.9 to 11.4 Billion, but they need legislation to get some credit back and they still want them to keep up with more payments. More the question should be what is the government to do with reduced $$$$ coming in----could they cut a little out of "defense" as that is nothing but a drain.
I believe the payments are something like 5.5 BILLION/yr to prefund retiree health benefits at 100% for the next 75 yrs---is that not a bit of a fix to cause some fiscal problems? A new proposal to prefund at something like 83% amortized over 40 yrs alone would probably fix the whole thing without all the drama if passed.
I think the rise in food stamp useage directly correlates to the rise in Walmart and similarly paid substandard wages and benefits.

Think the idea is old and has had the effect of fewer corps enclosing "business reply" envelopes and just saying "phone" this number or "click" this site.
If the commission does not reach an agreement, wasn't there some sort of provision requiring large budget cuts to defense?????
Hey, I'm just saying----first it's the Unions, then the City, State and Fed workers---then----you must be all that's left because we can't go after the fat cats.
better not gloat too much---shouldn't be too long before the GOP starts raging about how out of line from the private sector your benefits are.
and just what about local and State sales tax??? Guessing you are advocating that they all get lumped together for a total of what? 15% +++++
Twisted Gov accounting behind Postal Svc woes------

I sure give that a "thumbs" down and a big giggle!!!!!
now how did you manage that? I think I ran out by day 7, and I opted for no health insurance.
You must have been living in your car or under a bridge and not paying rent

Well, I don't know what to say ----BUT---
$453 Billion--avg annual defense budget for 9 yrs before Clinton took office
377 Billion---avg annual defense budget during Clinton's time in office
496 Billion avg annual defense budget during Bush's time in office NOT INCLUDING the campaigns in Irag and Afghanistan
tpzoo.wordpress.com/2008/11/22/defense-spending-reagan
you asking me? WHY? I thought it was the Repugs who were all for defense spending and bitch about domestic spending.
dudette, if you please. And here I once misstook you for a Southern gentleman.
everybody pays some taxes be it Fed, State, sales tax,SS whatever (oops, maybe not all corporations)--but on the topic of "why I hate to pay taxes"---I think so called "defense" spending takes the biggest chunk and has the least benefit for the populace.
The point I was trying to make was that your complaint of "why I hate to pay taxes" is so trivial compared to money going down the drain in "defense spending".
and what was it 6 to 10 BILLION that the Pentagon shipped to Iraq on pallets that they cannot account for.
I think you don't know what subject you posted about.
Didn't know your critique of fostering rewnewable energy had anything to do with what you pay for a gal of gas.
Sounds good to me! What do you think---more "drill, baby, drill", buy a hummer, wishing fracking and tar sands would come to your neighborhood?
What the hell are you? a plutocrat?, corporatist?, repuglican?
"Of the people, by the people, for the people" isn't in your ideology? Should we all be peons serving corporate interests, owing our souls to the company store and begging for a crumb of food? What do you advocate? that the rich get richer; the poor, poorer?
guess you have a comprehension problem or you're blind and deaf.
I like Perry/Palin---what a ticket!!!!!LOL
AMRN---from another site, someone wrote: "the PTO said the application's claim weren't patentable because they amount to "double" patenting of claims cited in another patent aplication. The other patent application is pending and covers the composition of the drug".
you think they might be hoping for the same thing?
You think she got paid for every one? Oopsie, Desertdrifter answered that. Hmmm, thought she didn't like government funding?
Thank You! Watched all four and forwarded them. Thought they were great.
Who are you hoping wins The White House????? Try not to make me laugh too hard.
Come on now---no comparison---I renew my car, fire , earthquake, healthcare with the same guys all the time.
And I wasn't picking on Bush for getting us into a senseless, poorly planned war, contrived or not, just the insensitive, loathsome, offensive, foul humor displayed by him in the search for WMDs in the Oval Office.
On approval of the Iraq war--I just looked it up---in the Senate, 21-D, 1-R, 1-I voted NO
In the House---6-R, 1-I, 126-D voted NO
so Iraq war goes to the Republicans
Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya---I almost think it all belongs to the Pentagon----get rid of old stock so can purchase some new stuff.
Absolutely yeseree----those WMDs
those same WMDs that Bush poked fun at crawling around the Oval Office floor looking here and looking there for them when so many had died or been maimed
or would continue to die and be maimed
ABSOLUTELY disgusting, a travesty.
Hope you didn't think it was funny?
And I bet their top heavy in management(stripes)too!!! No bid contracts were obscene as was Bush looking for WMD in the Oval office---still pisses me off!
True, but I fear that the "gang of 12" will just be "forced" to do a little nip and tuck with SS before they ever touch defense spending---OH NO--can't dare touch defense!!!!
I agree, it probably has. Everybody encourages "go paperless", and I know, my bills all get paid pretty much automatically. Nobody wants to lose their local post office and USPS also end delivers for much of the other mailer companies. Pretty amazing first class stamp only 44 cents.
Back to the bigger picture---what will they go after next?
Walmart workers food stamps or Social Security????? Certainly not HAL, BOE, or NOC
