Most promotions are merit based. I doubt that he black mailed them into promoting him to VP of Technology and Business Development. His background definitely supports him being in this position and the position would not be needed unless they have funding to complete the image space.
No funding = No Image Space = No Business Development Partners
Funding = Image Space = Partners
For stinky pinky stock sake, what do you expect? 3dIcon is not on anybody's radar but ours! Even when funding news comes out, we might see a little bump in pps, but until they partner with someone besides Schott, it won't do too much IMO.
Funding + Partners = Bigger News
Big Wiff! If he get's paid with shares, now we will know when he sells.
And by the way, its called a Wiffle bat.

Well said, and we have not seen him strike yet either!
Hi bio disagrees... so you are saying that Dow Corning, SCHOTT Government Services, LLC, Raytheon, General Electric, United Technologies, Avery Dennison, DuPont, Honeywell, and Lockheed Martin are not real companies? That's hilarious! NEXY!!!
"Show me the money Doug!" has a better ring to it!
"Moneymaker Doug!" is not too far off!
Boomsoon post
He would not join 3DIcon if it was headed for the bottom of the sea. He is very optimistic about the company's future and so am I!
"Doug has an intimate knowledge of our technology and vast experience in the federal funding space that is invaluable to 3DIcon, so we are thrilled to have him take on a more prominent role within the company," said Victor Keen, CEO, 3DIcon. "Doug has done a fantastic job already in identifying and submitting for several funding opportunities, and we look forward to his continued progress and involvement in this expanded capacity in 2015 and beyond."
"It's an exciting time to join 3DIcon in this larger role, as the 3D technology industry is poised for a massive breakout, particularly with volumetric display in verticals including healthcare and defense, among others," said Doug Freitag 3DIcon. "We have made progress over the past year in terms of technological advancements as well as in identifying and pursuing outside funding sources. As we await responses to various proposals, I am optimistic about our prospects for the coming year."
Thank you for sharing the tweet! I see the correlation of the stages and I posted where 3Dicon has been and where they are headed IMO. I also like that Gartner mentioned volumetric displays as an example. That should resonate with every shareholder that was around or involved in the previous hype stage, including our friend Flyer.
Here is where 3DIcon has been...
And if they did, expect a few broken hearts when they learn their once-hot technology has now passed through the peak of inflated expectations. Next up is the downward slide of hype Gartner calls the "Trough of Disillusionment."
Like a B-list celebrity, technologies down in this deep valley may linger for years, their buzz reduced to a fading echo.
Venture capital and media have moved on. All that's left are the true believers, working to refine and improve the concept; to develop the second and third generation versions that will someday provide real-world benefit. [/I]
This is where 3Dicon is heading...
"Then of course, there is a third phase, in which it crawls out of that deep valley and levels off," explains LeHong. "And at that point, that's where industry, enterprises, government, consumers, get a very good grasp of where this technology works, and I guess, even more importantly, where it doesn't work."
This part of the cycle is divided into two sections: the "Slope of Enlightenment," home right now to technologies including 3D scanners and gesture control, and then the final leg, the "Plateau of Productivity." Reaching the plateau is the equivalent of becoming a household staple, and "speech recognition technology" has the "Plateau of Productivity" all to itself on the latest Hype Cycle.
Here is a recap of the planned activities announced back in early October. I took the liberty to present based on today's date. As you can see, there were a lot of meetings planned over the last couple months which could result in additional proposal submissions.
IARPA - Meeting planned for Oct 30th with concept paper submission pending outcome.
Dept of Energy (DOE) - Meeting planned for November with Advanced Manufacturing Office.
Army - Meeting held, referred to ARL and TRADOC. Meeting held with ARL in November and December; January for TRADOC.
Air Force Research Lab - Meeting held, submitted unsolicited paper in December.
Navy - Meeting held with ONR in December.
DARPA - Meetings held with TTO, referred to DSO with meetings held in November.
Defense Intel Agency - Concept paper submitted in November.
NIH - Proposal submitted in December for Brain Imaging with sponsor.
NSF - Proposal for image space chamber materials R&D submitted in December
NASA - Request for proposals were reviewed in November.
Important Company Highlights
The Company's patented volumetric 3D display technology, CSpace®, is being developed to produce 360-degree viewable, high-resolution, color images, and is intended for use in government and industrial applications such as air traffic control, medical imaging, automotive & aerospace design, geological visualization, weather visualization, battle space visualization, and cargo / baggage / people scan visualization.
The Company has an exceptionally strong management, consultant and technology team with experience in creating and commercializing technology.
Intellectual Property Portfolio: 3DIcon owns the exclusive worldwide rights to a portfolio of technologies developed by the University of Oklahoma, under the auspices of a Sponsored Research Agreement with the university funded by the Company.
Prior research and development at the University of Oklahoma: Certain 3DIcon technologies have been developed by leading researchers and scientists in multiple disciplines on two University of Oklahoma campuses.
The market for 3D display technologies is expected to reach over $7 billion by 2018.
Here are the facts... 3DIcon uses TI DLP technology in CSpace and developed Pixel Precision to streamline the process of setting up the micro mirrors. What normally would take several days, weeks or months to develop, can be done in a fraction of the time with Pixel Precision. 3DIcon's JDA is with Schott, not Optecks. Optecks is NOT involved in any federal grant seeking process with or in parallel to 3DIcon.
Optecks is a private company dedicated to developing products and solutions for DLP based applications. Optecks is not currently in the 3D Display business[/b] Optecks’ management and engineering team includes recognized scientists and engineers with experience in DLP application development, which include specialists who have worked 9 years in developing software as well as optical and electrical systems for DLP based applications.
Optecks provides both standard and customized solutions for DLP based applications in two main areas:
Software: Optecks has developed the Light Animator software package for rapid and more user-friendly development of DLP applications. Light Animator is sold as a standard software solution for the DLP LightCrafter and DLP LightCrafter 4500 systems. Optecks will provide customized software solutions for customers based on the customers’ requirements.
Note: 3DIcon's Pixel Precision® supports the Texas Instruments DLP Discoveryâ„¢ product lines. Optecks Light Animator supports the DLP LightCrafter lines.
Optical Modules: Optecks has developed a series of specialized optical modules for DLP applications that are coated for use in near infrared (NIR) applications. Currently available modules include those coated for the 650 nm – 1050 nm range and those coated for the 1050 nm – 1650 nm range. Optecks can also provide customized DLP optical solutions based on customers’ specifications and requirements.

Looks like the market disagrees. Steady .04's today and reversal in the making.

Yes I know that... that is why I was laughing. "LOL" Hakki's company is an LLC, so you will have to tell us who are the shareholders?
Where did you see that Hakki's company is listed on the proposals for funding grants? Please post a link to your due diligence.
If Hakki's company is providing services to 3DIcon, they may be getting paid with shares for services. That is common for R&D companies with little or no revenue sources, like 3DIcon.
3DIcon has gone silent for months in the past, but they have been pretty transparent since Victor took over. They are waiting for funding process to run its course, and this takes time. It is still early in 2015. Connect the dots to the recent tweets and such. They will post material information when it becomes material. Just ask Judy!
What do the 89 days stand for? You do realize that 3DIcon was already delisted from the OTCBB. There will also be no R/S unless the Shareholders receive proxy notice and vote on the matter. I have not received any notices. The OS is what it is... Good luck to you. EOM
Has that company gone public yet? What is the symbol, so we can look it up! LOL
Press Release expects 15 million 4k TV's in 2015, all with UltraFlix pre-installed. If 10% subscribe to the monthly service and let's assume a $50 net profit per year/per TV.
That is 15 million X 10% = 1.5 million customers
1.5 Million X $50 = $75+ Million in Potential Revenue
This is a rough estimate, but you get the picture!
Poppycock! "If you build it, they will come!"

Shareholders should connect the dots here. 3DIcon would not tweet for tweet's sake. There is a reason why they are sharing this information. Do you want to know why?
Innovation Award winning UltraFlix!
Not likely, the pps would have tanked farther into the .002's if that were the case. Looks like there is equal or more amounts of buying and the stock appears to have found another bottom and level of support. That is what I see.
Trimble is not a competitor. They are a prospective partner. CSpace would provide the 3D Display of the data Trimble captures using their UX5. 3DIcon is not in the unmanned fixed-wing aviation or Flyer business.
UX5 is an unmanned fixed-wing aircraft targeted at the surveying, agriculture, oil & gas, mining, construction, environmental industries. The system autonomously captures a series of high-resolution images during flight, which is typically up to 50 minutes covering as much as 2.3 square kilometers (approximately 1 square mile) when flying 120 meters (approximately 400 feet) above the ground. Using Trimble Business Center Aerial Photogrammetry software, images are used to easily generate 2D and 3D deliverables such as orthomosaic images, three-dimensional point clouds and contour maps. The Trimble UX5 enables the collection of large amounts of data, often faster than traditional surveying or mapping technologies.
About Trimble
Trimble applies technology to make field and mobile workers in businesses and government significantly more productive. Solutions are focused on applications requiring position or location—including surveying, construction, agriculture, fleet and asset management, public safety and mapping. In addition to utilizing positioning technologies, such as GPS, lasers and optics, Trimble solutions may include software content specific to the needs of the user. Wireless technologies are utilized to deliver the solution to the user and to ensure a tight coupling of the field and the back office. Founded in 1978, Trimble is headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The company in the article is not a competitor. They would be and could be a partner for 3DIcon. This was just another example (hint) of what CSpace could be used to support.
You have to ask yourself, why did the Federal Aviation Administration Grant Exemption for the Trimble UX5 Aerial Imaging Solution? Is it because they found a partner to provide the 3D Display that is missing in their solution? Hummmmm, makes you say hummmmm!
The "funding bomb" announcements will be followed by a loud BOOM!!!
To calm the fears of investors who believe crap posted on chat sites that Schott is not an active partner. What do you think?
Have you asked Schott the same question? Maybe we will read something in the Tulsa Herald about it.
Dilution I tell you, raw dilution! LOL
Simple answer, it is because 3DIcon has applied for several funding grants and will get one or more of them in 2015! Schott is 3DIcon's partner in developing the image space material. They want 3DIcon to succeed, its a win win deal for Schott!
Really, I didn't already know that? : (
3DIcon is not a player in the "Consumer" Electronics business.
They attend SPIE conferences that are better suited to their business and industry interests. EOM
