Crow,
"Start from there, and tell me that thay are not opaque or that they are. If your argument is that they are not, then tell me how Valimed, which uses UV can look inside them and test them."
I don't believe that WMFT is arguing that they don't crush the pills, what he's saying is that they don't liquify them.
That's also how I remember his post where he reported the demo in Vegas.
The fact that pills need to be crushed opens up a whole new can of worms compared to validating non-destructively using NIR.
First, crushing requires time so validation cannot be performed in real time. Second and most importantly, crushing requires that the pill be powdered to the same degree of homogeneity evey time. When UV has limited penetrability, the surface area of the sample is very important. This is especially true when it comes to validating strength where analytical repeatability comes into play.
A pill undergoing validation must be processed into a powder consistently and in the same way it was performed in preparing the sample used to capture the original spectral signature. In other words, there must be instructions for crushing pills for testing. This also creates the need to keep all the instruments used in the preparation of the sample clean and uncontaminated so that the validation test is always trustworthy.
The need to crush pills for validation isn't as simple as it may sound- liquids are much easier.
Valimed works very good for liquids.
"All this stuff that CAP, etc, is spamming has been seen many times, on all boards, and is not doing a damn thing to help"
Exactly what I was just explaining to him.
His frantic posting makes it appear as if he's a wee bit worried.
If he believes in the need for CDEx products, he should just relax and take a solid dosage form chill medication.
A question for Capnmike:
You seem to be frantically advertising CDEx the last week. You are obviously concerned about CDEX's ability to raise capital.
Don't worry, if the 5 year projection for CDEX is even close to the 200 million predicted by Griffin, money will become available.
Do you still have your life savings invested in this penny stock as you once publicly claimed?
If you are still heavily invested, investors would be wise to take that into consideration when reading your posts.
You have a slight tendency to over hype things which you shouldn't have to do if your confidence in the company is high.
Just relax and enjoy the show.
But don't get me wrong Paige, I think Valimed is a very useful instrument and eventually they should sell well.
They're just not going to sell like the meth gun- one in every squad car in America! LOL
Crow,
I thought WMFT reported that the pill was crushed into a powder, then placed into the cuvette. I don't remember him saying it was liquified.
What do you mean, dissolved completely or made into a slurry?
Paige,
Baxa has exlusive distribution rights for USA and Canada:
"Baxa, a customer-focused medical device company, provides innovative,solution-based technologies for fluid handling and delivery. Its systems and devices promote the safe and efficient preparation, handling, packaging, and administration of fluid medications".
Valimed is intended for a niche, high-risk, liquid medication market. Baxa specializes in liquid medications, that's why they were a good match for CDEx.
The reality is that I don't believe that you will be seeing a Valimed in every corner drug store across America.
Regardless of what the on-line stock promoters spam on these boards, regardless of how many links to medical error deaths are posted, regardless of how often a partner hospital is in the news, the market is limited by design.
"If we cannot read solids then why the testimone for the Maryland House of Delegates"
Valimed can reportedly validate pills if the pill is ground up. The test is destructive.
The combination of preparation and shoot time makes the test impractical for any type of real time validation compared to RxSpec which requires no preparation, has a faster shoot time and is non-destructive.
The RxSpec system is also redundant and validates a prescription using more than just a spectral fingerprint.
How many solid dosage meds does Valimed currently have in its library? I believe the answer is ZERO (although they must have created a signature for validation of the pill used in the trade show demos- unless the demo was fake).
Valimed has been designed specifically for liquids and that's how it's being marketed IMO.
Gosh RA, you are so mean! LOL eom
LMAO!! ...
"It's masterfully expressed in layman's terms and I bet even butterfly will be able to comprehend it."
"Will it sell a heap??? NAW!!"
You may be right. I thought the first production run would sell out immediately. Not a good sign. The way Valimed has been promoted to investors I expected teaching and pediatric hospitals to be waiting in line for them.
But in all fairness, I believe it will take until at least the end of the year to evaluate market acceptance.
Still, WAY to much hype from the very beginning, investors can thank the on-line stock promoters for over selling Valimed has a "crisis saver".
Now the meth gun, the new "crisis saver".
Nice link you posted earlier. Excerpt- "when it comes to penny stocks it's the wild west".
Crow, I believe ASD has a superior product for validating solid dosage meds, in other words, 90% of all prescription drugs.
I believe that CDEx realized their SafePill concept product (utilizing UVF) could not compete with NIR and as a result, SafePill morphed into Valimed which has been designed primarily for testing liquids. All the facts point to this conclusion.
UVF has advantages over NIR for testing liquids even though the market share for a liquid-only device is much smaller.
I believe that Valimed is no different than any other commercially available Fluorimeter. All have similar stand-off distances and integrataion times. All have their own custom spectral discrimination and LIMS integration software. Valimed is no different except that it has been customized for a highly niche market IMO. Others are customized too, I gave an example of another niche market fluorimeter, The Nanodrop (http:///www.nanodrop.com). Market niche: measuring samples that are only available in extremely samll amounts (e.g., DNA, RNA... etc.).
Does CDEx have superior tech? I don't think so. Loch/CDEx have advertised the detection of TRACE amounts of chemicals at huge stand-off distances for years but have we ever seen it? NO! It's a joke IMO. What is the distance of Valimed? Under an inch. How about the meth gun? Didn't we see a video of Foster sticking the nose of the gun into a huge pile of white powder? Ridiculous!
Show me TRACE DETECTION at even 10 meters and then maybe I'll change my mind. Right now it's all been BS and I think it's totally misleading and on the border of fraud!
"What I think they are doing is measuring the INTERFERENCE bands.. NOT the REFLECTED, so to speak, wavelengths."
NIR? I think you may be correct in a way. First, what doesn't reflect is either absorbed or transmitted. What is absorbed (or what is absent from the reflectance) tells a lot about the chemical make-up. Also how the morphology of the surface causes aberrations in the return signal (interferences, distortions, shifts) may also provide useful information (last part SWAG).
Is that what you meant?
I'm happy to see that CDEx insiders are taking turns dumping their shares.
Next!
NasPhantom, Yep, every evening that go out Fed-X, P-1.
"maybe somebody should take notice and put in a buy for ten shares at say 60."
According to INET's theory of insider market manipulation, Griffin would rather have someone sell off some shares at closing, but not 10 shares, that's to obvious.
5000 will do.
Timmy?
"I think when was "allowed" by the PTO that started the whole shaaabang with asd..."
Trust me Paige, the whole patent infringement case against CDEX started WAY before the first CDEX patent application was allowed. It started in February, 2005 when ASD put CDEX under the microscope (so to speak) and began studying the scope of their granted patent claims.
Evidently, after over a year of studying the situation, ASD concluded that their case was strong.
CDEX IS ALLEGEDLY INFRINGING ON A GRANTED ASD PATENT CLAIM.
The CDEx patent applications are irrelevant as a defense in this case IMO, and in fact, may require rewording to circumvent ASD's established prior art.
Where is ontheedge, tbeezer, kidinsight and smartypants?
Where is he?
Any news on funding Cap? Have any more Valimed units been sold? That would be the very best news and would solve the financial crisis at hand.
I don't believe posting how many people died from medical errors, land mines or bad booze is going to produce the urgent funding that CDEx needs.
"Zen and penny stock promoters- the urgency of now"
Pooks... unless you're a Brit, then you're correct.
Defense.
Careful Cappy, too much laughter can drain one's virility.
No, explain? Are you talking about a traffic stop?
Never try to answer a question with a question sweet pea.
And never say "never". LOL
Sand, you didn't miss anything, there was either a reporting error made somewhere, or marketing and R&D are in disagreement about when/how they define "new signature".
Marketing usually jumps-the-gun. R&D won't consider something new until it is fully documented and "ready-for-use".
Obviously, CDEx is squeezing out every bit of PR that they can get their hands on during this critical period.
What I don't understand is if CDEX needs more PP money, why are insiders dumping and driving the PPS down to record lows?
Are they lacking confidence?
LMAO!!! OHHHH... SWEET PEA YOU'RE TOO FUNNY!

Hi inet, Crow, Arcola, xeno, Morovan, Diddy, Etc all have been bashing CDEX for years now.I think it was Crow who said CDEX HQ was a mail-drop. Someone is paying them. I know you are aware of this, When the Meth Gun is used by Law enforcement, all the need to do is pull the trigger on the gun, and they will have probable cause if something is detected. Now having said that, who would pay to have CDEX bashed?
"[b[When the Meth Gun is used by Law enforcement, all the need to do is pull the trigger on the gun, and they will have probable cause if something is detected.
WHAT IS THE STAND-OFF DISTANCE OF THE METH GUN?
WILL THEY BE ABLE TO OBTAIN PC FROM THE STREET BEFORE A SEARCH WARRANT IS ISSUED?
PLEASE DESCRIBE A TYPICAL SENARIO OF HOW THIS PROCESS WILL TAKE PLACE. ANY PERFORMACE ASPECTS OF THE METH GUN THAT YOU IMPLY IN YOUR DESCRIPTION SHOULD BE SUPPORTED WITH FACTS.

June 27, 2006- The Valimed signature library grows from 53 to 47 using next generation technology...
What does "next generation technology" mean?
Marketing fluff, they have two new features to the existing, core technology:
- They have a new cuvette port to accommadate their new cuvettes.
- they added new reporting features (test documentation).
The Answer is: "A new generation... different sample requirements... probably integrates a new generation of signatures.
The Question is "How would a CDEx STOCK PROMOTER explain that they apparently made a mistake in advertising the correct number of ready- for-use Valimed signatures"?
Hmmm... "probably integrates a new generation of signatures" I like it! It sounds high-tech, but it sure is a roundabout way of simply stating that CDEX has added 14 new signatures to their library. LOL
When will the "next generation" be added?
OH MY GAWD! "It's NG technology", it's gotta be worth billions! LOL
I deleted my own post. It was:
RA, wrong link. eom
I thought you had posted a 10Q instead of the link to the legal proceedings until I realized the LP were embedded in the 10Q.
Post deleted.
"d4diddy, I'm not sure why you've posted that info..."
There is 'definately' (TM- closer) a point to be made.
Give up? LOL
Chapter <797> in the United States Pharmacopeia 27/NF 22 "applies to health care institutions, pharmacies, physicians practice facilities in which compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) are prepared, stored and dispensed. The purpose of these regulations is to prevent harm and fatality to patients that could result from microbial contamination (nonsterility), excessive bacterial endotoxins, large content errors in strength or correct ingredients, and incorrect ingredients in CSPs."

lmorovan...What is the URL of the CEXI board you turned over to Art. Question, why in the heck would you turn over the board to a known hypster? The gang and it's touts have gained control of just about every message board on the internet. Now you want them to have control of another one? You know what will happen! They will not let the truth be posted. The posts will be zapped and/or the posters will be removed, just as they were on the RB Lochlong. People like Pookie will be able to post their hyping lies and no one will be able to refute them! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
Is capnmike a Loch/CDEx STOCK PROMOTER?
Scroll down this board over the last three days and decide for yourself (if there is any doubt).
Interesting "loch/cdex":

Sterility testing:
http://www.qimedical.com/
Geez Crow...
"The thing is, they should make it clear, which they HAVE NOT.. that VALIMED does not check for sterility."
And when have they ever made anything clear?
They have always left enough wiggle room in the wording to let the stock promoters lead readers to believe things that are just not true.
Again, this is very clear to me:
ValiMed features patent-pending technology that validates in seconds the strength of compounded doses of high risk medications prior to dispensing. Verification of compounding accuracy and sterilization is a requirement under USP 27-NF 22 Chapter 797, which regulates the compounding of sterile products. The ValiMed System can play a key role in demonstrating the safety of compounded sterile products (CSPs) under these requirements.
The first sentence clearly tells what Valimed does. It validates "the strength of compounded doses". If it validated for sterility it would have said "...the strength and sterility of compounded doses...". Don't think for a second that they would have accidently left out something that significant. LOL
I don't think it really took much effort to avoid answering the question. When confronted with a question that has an obvious answer that doesn't fit his agenda he does as others like Ontheedgey have always done- ignore it.
No big.
"Can't figure out why people would pay to bash CDEX? Just doesn't make any sense to me? Paying IHub to post, when they could do it for free? Nope it just doesn't make any sense at all?"
Of course it doesn't make any sense, a lot of your accusations are senseless. So have you figured it out yet?
NO ONE GETS PAID TO BASH HERE!
See how simply the solution to your bewilderment was? LOL
Crow,
The word "sterile" is redundant and misleading in that context, Diddy. It implies that Valimed determines the sterility, otherwise why include it??
Give me an example.
(Haven't we had this discussion in the past?)
Cappy,
Riorancho is a person that really needs to relax.
Seriously.
