Questions for ASM. Keeping in mind the legal and competitive restrictions on what can be said by management, I propose the following questions.
1. On a recent arbitration, the hearing was held in June 2012. A decision was forecast by management in late 2012, then early in 2013. We understand, arbitrators and judges cannot be expedited or even questioned. However, it is fair to ask: is management aware of any reason for the delay?
2. For the $800 million revenue target, can management provide a split by category? For instance, amounts expected from Tier 1 3G and 4G manufacturers, M2M, etc.
3. We understand the need for litigation in this business, and the resulting delays. However, does it seem to management that legal time lines get stretched for IDCC actions? Do we have any stats on our actions versus "averages"?
4. Much as I decry our tax laws, it seems we are stuck with them for the foreseeable future. Given the fact that much of our revenue is derived overseas, why is our tax rate so high?
