Not familiar with it, at least with that ticker... But I suppose I may have forgotten. There've been so many. Blue seems rather bitter.
Did we cross swords at SI? Which nastly little stock would have been the one in question?
Thank you, Cali. I'm afraid I find Nate very tiresome.
Frankly I'm surprised they even have people manning the phones on a weekend. What's the point?
Lots of people did. But they sometimes change their minds all of a sudden.
Bought my shares through Ameritrade, with no problem!!!!
You actually eat Spam? Do you live in Hawaii too?
Well pretty strange twists as Ameritrade won't allow buying of cmkx shares. For what reasons,no clue.Cmkx is a live one everywhere and I have never seen this in all my history of playing these penny stocks...
IF this rumor is true--and we won't know till Tuesday--it's far from unheard of. For reasons that no one's ever really got to the bottom of, Ameritrade and a number of other brokers sometimes decide they won't buy an issue for their clients, though they will sell.
The stocks that get this treatment are invariably the most, ah, controversial penny issues. I think they just don't want clients suing them if something goes wrong.
Tears of laughter!!
Try honor, dedication to what is right, managing to the injured, etc.
Have you ever worked with an attorney on anything more complicated than making a will or settling an estate or the like?
Charming, yes. Intelligent, yes. Competent, yes. Full of the milk of human kindness? NOT!
I agree. If he's sticking by them, there must be some reason. I can't imagine what it might be.
Yes. Why? Because several have produced photos of themselves with Ron. I don't believe they're necessarily quoting him with complete accuracy, but it would seem that he IS talking.
And we all know about Melvin's effusions, though he seems to have cut down on that stuff.
That's true. I find the whole thing puzzling. If I were an attorney who could easily attract top drawer clients, I wouldn't be messing with a loose cannon like Urbie.
Glenn was definitely on vacation. That was corroborated by several people.
Have you never been quoted as saying something you never said? I certainly have been.
Well, seems we still have Ron shooting his mouth off at the races, and Sterling and others going on IBC to announce their latest idiotic theories. And legions calling the TA.
Now if I were Glenn, putting a stop to all that would have been the FIRST thing I did.
how do you know that he has not put a stop to this nonsense?
Don't think you understood my post.
No, I don't think so.
What I don't understand is why Glenn, if he's really working for the company, hasn't put a stop to this nonsense.
lol, yes. Sticky problem. What to do? I have an idea!!
As if.
Wouldn't it be ironic if all the shorts' efforts to sabotage the TA backfired into a halt until the O/S was released. LOL Stock could re-open at 5 cents.
LOL!!
've actually been a silent proponent of having a halt issued on trading overall anyway until the O/S is properly released. This would IMO prevent further shorting and manipulation. Now, if any of the major brokerages actually do suspend trading on CMKX (all still rumor IMO), this could in effect force the company to issue a halt on trading because the market would not be even-handed considering some could buy and/or sell and others couldn't. If this happened, IMO this would give Urban and Roger the time to properly execute their plan.
Go here:
http://www.sec.gov/litigation/suspensions.shtml
Check out what happened to the stocks in question afterwards.
Dear God NO! The only form of exercise I enjoy is swimming.
What??
We are holding all our REAL CERTIFICATES in the comapny treasury...
What on earth do you mean by that?
CMKX will bring lots of cash (and mineral claims) to the UCAD table...
What would UCAD bring?
btw, don't forget that in late 2002, CMKI, as it was then, annouced that it was merging with Juina Mining (GEMM). The PRs flowed for quite some time until it was called off. Was it ever serious? At the time, many expressed doubts.
Okay. I find it easier to believe that people are paid to work out or play golf than that THEY pay to do so.
You have more experience of Canadian mining stocks than I do, Gumpy. But I have more experience of US penny stocks than you do.
And I can tell you that this one is following a very predictable pattern.
I think they probably want good spellers. But of course they're in pretty short supply.
Are there certain qualifications required?
Here's a clue: the SEC does NOT like it when a penny stock goes self transfer. That alone can be enough to kick off an investigation.
Urbie knows how much stock he's issued. What part of that don't you understand?
The count needs to be right.
And this is just nonsense.
Because of all the shorting of CMKX they had to keep the real count secret from the shorters.
Your choice. Please feel free to believe what you want to believe.
If you find my "boss", please tell him the checks must be going elsewhere.
Yeah, I know what you think, Gumpy. I disagree.
And you refuse to address one thing I've brought up before: there's a world of difference, in terms of shares issued, between GMXX and Jag on the one hand, and CMKX on the other.
And another point: none of this would have been a problem if Urbie had allowed the TA to tell shareholders what the o/s number was.
As all honest CEOs do.
If they go self-transfer no one will be able to corroborate anything they say.
If they release it without backup no one will believe it.
And just consider how many stocks NITE alone makes a market in!! Thousands!! Not just BBs and Pinkies, Nasdaq too! Probably the figure is over 12,000.
Just THINK of the accounting problems!
Beats me. If I were Glenn, I'd have said goodbye after the TA comedy.
As I've said, it's my current favorite soap. Tons of giggles, new nutty rumors every day.
And risk the wrath of the Post Office investigators? No thanks, dear.
Along with the one about the "certified letter"?
Toss it into the rumor bin along with the other dozen this week. LOL
Why would they want to do that? Who'll believe 'em?
The only thing I feel comfortable saying (still not 100% confirmed but my confidence level is high) is that CMKX decided to take away the share audit from ANY TA at this point and handle it on their own.
What nonsense.
f they announce another TA at this stage, you can expect a similar fiasco with either longs calling incessantly or with the shorts again attempting to sabotage the TA's efforst (if in fact that happened the first time). So why even bother doing that. Get everything in order. THEN hand it off.
Let me repeat: Urbie KNOWS how much stock he issued. Both TAs also know how much stock he issued. As I've said several times, this ain't rocket science.
The real problem isn't the TAs, or the investors. It's Urbie, who's reluctance to let anyone know how much paper he's printed is painfully obvious to anyone who has any experience of penny stocks.
If in fact that certified letter was a fake to Pacific...
If, in fact, there was any certified letter. Apparently Global sent the books to Pacific. Why would they ALSO send a certified letter? Doesn't make any sense. Sending such a letter would also be a fairly serious felony. The Post Office has a criminal investigation arm, and they're pretty tough.
In an educated sort of way, Zenny, you're extremely gullible.
As far as this is concerned, he couldn't be more wrong.
It will work out better for the company to be it's own Transfer Agent (TA). In my opinion.
WOW!! That really sets my BS meter on fire!
STERING about the TA fiasco... (VERY INTERESTING)
Don't you love that "I was told" stuff?
snicker, I thought so too.
LOL cute email address Scott has.
insideroffshore@aol.com
Though my guess is that it's wishful thinking. If you Google him, you'll find he's a poker player, by the way.
Wow. The Power of Chocolate....
You might want to get in touch with Reynolds the reporter, though. Evidently he's interested in PCBM-related stuff.
I posted his email addy a few days ago. Or you can find it over at RB.
