Concern at this .01 level PPS...if there is going to be a modest rise EVEN then the turnover volume is going to be huge as many try to flip. It will take very amazing news for this to rise to .14 and beyond, IMVHO. I think that a year out we might see a good rise but immediate we are going to see huge volume and many flippers -- a gigantic PPS battle.
Haha, into the ground...I AGREE with you. RESCUE is a key word here. eom
And you might tattoo "I told you so" on yours and meet us at the Bellagio. I'll spring.
Anyway, it's good to get the downhill as well as the uphill, so I thank you Finbar99.
All in great fun with the hope of a surprise.
I'll hold my breath for both but I'm not getting a tattoo for anybody. (And you probably won't either)
YOU'VE GOT MY VOTE FOR PRESIDENT. eom
Here's why I bought in...this is not a small company with no assets. There are institutions with money invested...it's not a usual bankruptcy so anything could happen here and that's what I'm banking on.
Yes, in my weak moments, I realize that there is no volume and no PPS spike and this is worrisome because there are always leaks. BUT, it hasn't gone to zero either and the volume has remained steady and this is a positive for what may lie ahead. So, I'm torn. Could go either way. IMVH 600K O.
I'm out of powder at 600K shares. Wish I could buy more. eom
It's a misdemeanor for sure. And do you eat that yellow snow. But I'll take a co with Waterton any day. Well, might they bring Hecla along for the ride?
Do I understand finbar not to have a horse in this race? eom
Can't they win the bid with the caveat that they JV with GBG as part of the price of the deal?
Dam, I put all the money I had into the penny effort. eom
That's true, it couldn't happen at a worst time. eom
A lot of pressure on Mr. Ronald. Reputation is everything in this business.
Yes, I agree. I think the extra time is to hammer out the details which all works in our favor, I hope.
Personal opinion -- I think they are drawing up final proposals with highest bidder -- it's over, all but the fine print.
Thanks. It was helpful for me -- timelines, etc.
I'm with you. eom
Maybe because some of these shells are really going to be very lucrative for someone else (not us and GBG) in the near future? JMVHO and can be had for next to nothing in the liquidation/re-org of GBG.
Me either. eom
Post #2956 from THE TOP good overview. Tanzanian assets brought up.
I am led to feel that assets might be being sloughed off on the cheap -- this might be what GPB is getting at with his probing questions? When the fog lifts or the dust settles it might be too late for any action (s).
Wouldn't all of this be reflected in GBG financials? eom
Light reading? More like enlightened reading. Holy Kittens Batman.
I'll be there with you soaking up those rays. eom
So if burn stone sells for 625M is it possible that we could keep Hollister as an on going profitable mine? If so this is a win for GBG shareholders, yes? Seems a lot of misleading rabbit trails to configure with key players still in the ballgame and no news coming out whatsoever.

Analyst Adam Graf of Dahlman Rose said there were only a handful of potential suitors.
Great Basin said on Wednesday that second-quarter revenue fell 43 percent to C$32.4 million because of production problems at both its mines, Burnstone in South Africa and Hollister in Nevada.
This is the fifth straight fall in quarterly sales.
Dahlman's Graf said the stock was now so cheap that even if a buyer paid a 30 percent premium, it would be a very good deal.
"In the hands of somebody with better financial wherewithal and technical experts, both the assets could have tremendous value," he said.

'Please, we are seaching for facts and a laugh and not a tragedy' YES one billion. GBG develops Hollister...we have dollars PPS, not cents.
Let's keep Hollister for a kidney. Wow, if we are still a competitive entity in the near future this PPS is going to be one for the grandkids. Scenario: "Remember when Gramps made millions on that Great Basin Gold penny stock?" "Sure do, and it's why we can now live in Belize and afford a cook and a maid and a beautiful ocean view." "Beats Detroit, huh." "Yes, honey, it sure does and you will inherit those five blocks of rentals we bought in Baltimore."
"Why didn't we buy rentals in Belize?" "Because, honey, section 8 is money in the bank." "God bless Burnstone and the fellas that saved our butts." "God bless 'em and pass the margaritas." "When thare we going to the Bellagio?" "The limo is picking us up Thursday." "Wow, a whole week at the Bellagio." "Yes, GoldenPolarBear is rolling out the red carpet." "Is he really a polar bear?" "Those who've sighted him say that he's 9' 7" and weighs 450 lbs." "
I'm trying to suck up some of these .0075 shares. eom
hehheh, if they can afford to come to goldenPB party they have to have had shares. $$$$$ cha-CHANG.
Belize...I'll move the whole family there if this thing hits 1 buck...
If they can keep GBG as a going concern wouldn't it be possible to have a rather hefty rise in PPS?
You're good at the loop holes, yes? That takes a very special kind of math I'm told.
Haha, that's funny. I thought the same thing. Got filled another 100K...greed has eclipsed my good sense. Going to have to drink some koolaid this evening.
HOLY CRAP. There it is. We got GOLD. EOM
DANG! Ended up 14% to .01 and I didn't get my order filled. Order stands...there's always tomorrow but I won't be disappointed if it never goes below .01 again.
Trying to snag another 100K below .01. Now I'm getting greedy.
goldenpb,
Not to mislead anyone...I was responding to ditchman's post right below mine...from the link he provided, the last paragraph...

which is from late 2011 looking forward. I'm just saying that there was a great deal of projected hope. Huge potential.
"According to TD Ameritrade and Yahoo Finance, the average one year analyst price target for Great Basin Gold is $4.55 – triple the current share price…"
DANG!!!!!
