That's why the rapidly developing nations of India and China, as well as developed Asian tigers like South Korea and Japan, are moving aggressively to build partnerships and launch joint ventures with uranium producers
IAEA approving the UAE for nuclear energy
Yes, Lojiko...I got the same figures when I calculated. Pretty phenom, fellas!!
Thanks! Sorry to see you go...I was left with a sour taste too...bought just as they offered more shares!
But be assured, they are sitting on the sidelines- and with the news of drilling plans, the announcement of a deal or JV, or the release of the BH ZTEM results we will see an astonishing surge.
21k reads today and 90 posts, people are watching and waiting.
Gold has pulled back from this week’s record highs too, but again not by much. The spot price as we write is $1,424.
“Gold it is no longer a contrarian buy,” warns our friend and Vancouver stalwart Rick Rule, stepping back and looking at the longer-term picture. “But we need to remember that all of world demand is denominated in U.S. dollars, and if the denominator is declining, the numerator only needs to hold even to rise in price.
“So the baseline move in the gold price is accounted for by the deterioration in the U.S. dollar. On top of that, we have continued currency crises in Europe, widespread and serious political instability in the Middle East and North Africa and surprisingly strong physical demand from India and China. “This could be the prelude to an upside blowout.”
In the panic trade of 1979-80, gold shot up from $520 to $850 in less than three weeks. That's 63%. By Feb. 1, 1980, it was back to $620. The price topped $700 a couple more times in 1980 but didn't challenge the panic spike high of $850 again until 2006 -- 26 years later.
We have seen only a gradual increase in the gold price during this current bull market. But just in case history continues its habit of rhyming, you might want to be positioned for another spike, and soon -- not in another two or three weeks. Here are some more ideas on getting in while the gettin's still good...
Financial condition of XState: anybody know??
I think you misread the majority here: a declining pps will generate MORE buying by the longs NOT LESS...
RE market psychology: Amigo earns official stamp of approval from the board shrink!
Very thoughtful and cogent. Thanks, SGR!
The educated speculation that U5 will become our OFFICIAL JV (or owner of LBSR AK claims) partner is excellent, and jives with the FRIENDSHIPS that have existed between NAK/HDI/JB for years.
Trust in a handshake...some here doubt that...but the facts are becoming bankable!
heck, just the NR that one of our ZTEM porphyries is getting skewered would probably drive us to 0.19 or above in a flash!!
why is nobody looking to lock up a j/v with James Briscoe and Liberty Star Uranium and Metals?
Wow! That's roughly $14B in the ground...
...can you link me to the resource estimate document(s)?
I see they're trying to get Denny to get 'em going with permitting...

I know these folks ONLY have $40M to spend, but they seem to have no current holdings other than a hoard of cash and they ARE targeting our minerals (Cu, Au, U). Who knows, maybe JB/Vollmer should give 'em a call!!
RE KXM: their volume is picking up too; probably to make a investment move soon...
"The Company will continue to pursue its strategy of the identification, acquisition and development of known mineral deposits. While the commodity focus is gold, copper and uranium we have considered, and continue to consider, any commodity with economic potential.
The Company has approximately $40 million cash and is well funded to take advantage of mineral opportunities which are brought to its attention."
Yes, I too am willing to see dilution to paint our own drilling picture. JV would be fab, but if nothing emerges SOON, let's do our own!
Others agree?
I think I counted 28 "pebbles" in the video!!
Okay, we can do our parts y'all. Repeat after me "CO-EXISTENCE" ...and keep repeating in public ad nauseum.
Here's yet another service touting U investment:
http://dailytradealert.com/2011/02/26/put-these-tiny-mining-stocks-on-your-watch-list-today-2/
BTW: Buffett's "trigger finger is itchy" ...anyone really believe he may go after some U investments? He was behind the $50M international fund to secure a U stockpile, to assure adequate supplies of the metal for reactors (and to reduce risk of terrorist diversion).
New to this board...
Pretty exciting day for this stock (best volume in years!). Looks like Zn is in a 5 yr cup & handle pattern (@ ~ $1.20/lb currently)...that's nice multi-billion dollar option underneath the 150-180M oz Ag. The silver alone, probably the hottest metal (along with U), should put the company pps at least a dollar higher. Are there some anticipated price targets for this stock?
Picked up some shares in the after hours!
Milo
HDI will NEVER let go of LBSR. They did an open ended deal....but yet they ALSO STATED that the deal has to be better in both DOLLARS and PERCENTAGE, and THEY HAVE THE FIRST RIGHT TO MATCH or BEAT that DEAL...They will be so flush with cash, and THEY WILL KEEP CONTROL of what they have seen on ZTEM. They are not fools...they are experts at what they do.
Yet ALL of NAK's partners are/were international outfits!
That seems silly and superficial.
Fair enough.
So what value do you place on our AZ <uranium> claims? $38 billion was JB's estimate in 2007. And where should our pps be currently, in your opinion based on your perceived value of AZ <uranium> claims alone?
So you insinuate that they will "let us go dark"? Or what?
You are lucky...it was an absolute miserable grind downwards!
BUT PLEASE, LET'S MOVE FORWARD!! KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE(S)!!
Very probably our BCSP future:
U5 would be put into play immediately as our JV partner and U5 would then become another NAK with us being the partner not mitsu or rio....and then, Thiessen would bring in another heavy hitter like Anglo.
I believe SGR deserves credit for conceiving this master plan, perhaps with the exception of JB's (non-)awareness...
Are you surprised we closed green?
Othon/Liang probably didn't go abroad just to advertise AZ pipes...on their gigabyte-pocket drives were ZTEM-flavored bagel pictures. They know that a lil' competition from foreign lands is a good thing...let's put a lil' grease on that friendly neighborly handshake with NAK...fire 'em up a bit to use the drill-bit on our raisins.
"NEGOTIATIONS" --that word was used...wheels are greased and starting a smooth grind forward.
Tis' the season to ->>>
DRILL--DRILL--DRILL!!!
SS,
Very thoughtful and correct! It doesn't hurt us, and might help us...
Nice summary of our position:
Consider the following:
1. We have cash and are in no danger of losing our claims (compare to last year)
2. We have the perfect JV partner lined up for Big Chunk - They have paid for additional exploration and will likely pay for drilling.
3. Anglo / PLP are doing ALL the work to allow permitting and will continue to pave the way for us free of charge (biggest gift of all, without this we wouldn't be able to do anything with these claims)
4. We have other projects that add value to the company.
But does your ZTEM correlate with your tooth reserve??
Between 0.25-50 for initial drill results of one ZTEM target...how 'bout you?
we believe the extended area, including our Big Chunk claims, hosts more porphyry mineralization than any other mega system in the world.[/
Thanks go4pm...I was familar with the enviro-nazi attacks, but you also said the Mitsu shareholders were balking!? How do you know?
I wasn't aware their shareholders were mutinying...
This site is much more user-friendly than Agoracom. And this LBSR board is incredibly active, informative, and supportive!
Thanks, SGR, for moderating. Thanks to all posters here, supporters/detractors alike...nice balance of cheer and critique!
Yes, I've noticed too...the guy's awaiting a massive coronary, but his magic has already brought about this majestic opportunity...he is no longer needed to see it through (nothing personal JB).
Thanks for your sincere frankness!
I too feel this will reach fruition...it does not feel nearly as speculative as last time I was in (all the way to sub-penny land).
...because Mitsu execs have seen our ZTEM and realize they could "do it all over again!" REMEMBER...they just made a killing on their NAK investment. Why not get out, before possible setback from court case, collect their profit, and STILL hedge their position on the ultimate development of the largest mineral resource on the planet, with a rather paltry investment with LBSR?? They could even BUY copper from the NAK/Anglo mining operation with their LBSR profits, assuming they come on line with production before we do. Seems reasonable to me...
Presentation by Geotech at PDAC will undoubtedly lead many to ask:
how do we find another Pebble using the eye in the sky??
...someone there will generate some table-talk: "look no further than a couple hundred square miles off center Pebble!!"
SGR, pardon my asking (but you seem to be volunteering), but just to clarify:
YOU ARE PUTTING ALL YOUR INVESTMENT DOLLARS ONLY INTO LBSR??
If so, diversification is obviously taking backseat (in a long bus) to your incredible convictions about LBSR. Nevertheless, man, I LIKE IT!!!
RE mining claims on:
...federal land whose use has not been restricted by the government to some specific purpose...
