think QD filtration in RO/desalination process

Michael Wong's group, Feb was an interesting month

still having computer problems, but have mostly been out of state trying to prep property for sale during our next dip.
a fine game of pong you have.
....hope we thread the needle before China takes everything over, I still believe we will, though the margin seems to be shrinking.
suspect there is some interesting information about membrane filtration in regards to desalination. most likely work is being done anywhere there is a water shortage, but think there would be a common thread such as you've come across in your previous post.
my thanks to all that put their pov on the board
like the vid clip.....a single plant could produce 2400 MW/yr Vs rest of solar plants in US capacity of 153 MW/yr ..... 15.686274 times what the rest of the solar companies in the US could produce.
Am looking forward to when we're full steam ahead.
Thxs for all the DD you do

sad to say techman that helps with my computer had the front of his house destroyed. Thankfully, he and his wife came through ok.
GLTA...stay safe
Like the way you think and agree. Hope others are as thoughtful.

without the support of governments/corporations/universities they get buried rather quickly, after all they could be disruptive in an uncontrolled manner with rather devastating economic impact and independent people.......
The old cliche' about the lone tree grows tall is full of cr--, the tallest tree grows in the Redwood Forest, (with the support of all the other trees)...something to be learned from that.
that said, makes the DD (and dots connected) seem all the more plausible for QTMM to succeed.
Life is Good
my hat's off to IA,(and welcome), Crunch, Hawk, and Dock. You've been doing excellent work. Personally have been out of power for a bit, (tornadoes in area, 9 dead in my county). Think there has been a little tree shaking attempt. Have to say the members of this board aren't ordinary, but rather extraordinary. When I last saw the sp dropping, I thought about why I invested in QTMM.
1. I wanted to help make a difference in the world.
2. I wanted to believe the company had a good chance at success
and the company personnel were ethical people.
3. I wanted an opportunity to make an extraordinary amount of $
on the amount I had to invest.
I haven't changed my position one share since early 2010, (powder is out). I've been in over 2 years, and haven't changed my mind. I still believe in all the above.
With the information that is out there now, it seems , (to me) that it would be harder for QTMM not to succeed in some fashion in the quantum field.
Some on the board have acknowledged the perceived lack of communications. I agree. I also acknowledge that SS and team are swimming with sharks, (great risks/rewards), nor do I see him taking quick profit at stockholders' expense, but rather holding steady and true to his stated mission/vision to the best of his ability. Personally, I think that's rare.
Mayhap he could tell us something now and sp would go up to .50 or wait until i's are dotted and t's are crossed and see $5 - $10......given a choice, I'd opt for the $'s.
I am one of those that will sink or swim with this stock because I believe the potential outweighs the risks.
I do ask other board members to reconsider why you invested in this stock, (I'd really like to hear your thoughts/opinions). If like me, you're in it to win it, stand tall and stay steady, if not, then I wish you the best on your journey of life. It's been a pleasure to travel this far.

for those that are that are tired and a little frustrated, I think we are far enough along that a timeout could be a good thing while maintaining one's position.....regardless, go with your gut and knowledge.

lest anyone get the wrong impression, I research and read the boards for information in regards to QTMM, but as the subject matter was OT for this board,
"You are posting to the Quantum Materials Corporation (QTMM) board. Please keep your post about the stock and company. Do not post about other users or other stocks."
the PM was the proper format, as is the response.
Sometimes people have private concerns/information. While I don't have private information to share and can't give advice on your business decision(s), I do listen....one friend to another.

on to QTMM, as in one friend to another
We have 5-6 people that post information on a regular basis. I would surely love to see some new names on the board with information and creative thought(s) about what you see and think.
We do try to treat people in a fair and respectful manner, but do ask that you abide by the board protocol and no rant or bashing.
Thanks to all
Wes,(and anyone else) that would like to email me, my email address is chessmite@gmail.com I don't have a prem account at ihub, so can't email back from here.
Wes, thanks for the other info. My powder is pretty much all in, but did pass to one whose interest seems to overlap.
Life is Good, and even better when we help one another.
Thanks to all who do.
think you're getting better at it too. Particularly like personal opinion comments.
More research, pov and input we get, the better for the board and its members.
GLTA and thanks to all who post
I don't know why Wes's post was deleted "I would watch what I said closely instead of feeling safety in the haze of non-disclosure", which was a pov I agree with in general.
In regards to QTMM I think the board has answered that concern and discussed that at this time it could be favorable to the company.
I posted his comment,(received it in my email) because I wanted no aspersion to be cast on him and wish him well. He made a business decision and shared his concern. I thank him.
Wes, in regards to your pov, thanks
sorry you got disillusioned or felt the need to move your funds elsewhere, (have been in around 2 yrs). Dr Bob has been most board friendly and Art is now part of QTMM. Think most on the board that have had information shared it. I admit it has been trying for the stock holders, but then again I don't see the signs of a P&D either.
What I have seen is SS stated a vision and seems to have tried to stay true to it. The company members seem knowledgeable, competent, and well known in their respective field(s), leaders in fact.
Most of the people on this board seem to be long term investors. I suspect they interpreted data from their DD in a similar fashion as I did and that is why they're still here......they feel assured that it's just a matter of time, (and it'll be big when it does imo).
If someone did have inside contact with the company I think they would be compelled to keep quiet. Personally I'm looking forward to the next 10q.
I hope you will take the time to evaluate the information and what you really feel about it and abide in peace with that decision. You'd be welcomed back if you so decided in that direction.
Live long and prosper
How does it relate directly or indirectly to QTMM?
New innovations in the quantum field and the increase need for qds, by countries like China, SA and etc. put pressure on the market(s) and makes it more opportune for companies like QTMM to emerge in a successful manner....looking for it any day now and will remain right here. I like our tech.
Thanks for posting, but in the future, please show how it relates to QTMM unless you think it's self evident.

Feel the force of the Quantum Dots
Mar 25, 2011
Optoelectronics represents one of the greatest market sectors. This area, says Reportlinker.com, was launched in 2010, and is expected to increase at a 128.4% compound annual growth rate to reach a value of $310 million in 2015.
The established market in the biomedical sector was valued at $48 million in 2010 and this sector is expected to increase at a 30% CAGR to reach a value of $179 million in 2015.
Among the many subsets of nanomaterials, quantum dots are unique. At dimensions typically below 10 nm, nanocrystalline semiconductors, metals, and magnetic materials can all exhibit extraordinary quantum confinement phenomena.
.....just a little excerpt, but does make one think
may the Force be with you
lol, like the way you think. Maybe we should have a list of all the ideas people on the board come up with for TQDs from the whacky to the practical.
Question, which one is this? ........comic super hero; DOTMAN to help educate children about all things quantum.
In all seriousness, besides the ones you've expressed there have been several other suggestions by other board members.
Who knows maybe QMC may find something doable if it was forwarded at a later date.
Life is Good.
should Crunch have had the means and privilege to meet SS, I'd be happy for him.
Stealth/not stealth it's all stealth until SS updates as to what actually is, but you can bet we'll all be looking forward to the next 10q, (have been for a while anyway).
GLTA.....looking forward to the future
Well for one, some of the things in Crunch’s post 6094 that stood out were
Focusing on the years to come, the technology firm is making forecasting that an increase of $113.6 billion will be invested into the global solar market by 2021.
China, equally, claimed that the solar industry is the most promising in the energy enterprise and forecasted a solar capacity of 5 million kWh by 2015. This step will make China the country to take Germany’s place as the largest market for the solar industry in 2013.
Countries ahead in the solar industry like the U.S., Germany and China, have programs established for funding solar research and development, and the distribution or guarantee for client of solar power
As QTMM was looking to exist as a stand alone w/o gov. help, would most likely be in our favor if other companies weren’t subsidized, (except in research).
Way I see it, trend for solar is heading up which increases opportunity for QTMM to shine, (as in meet the needs w/o subsidies at a price others may not be able to compete with).
………… nuke problems and international collaboration also seem to bring more pressure to shift to solar.
All things added together seem to imply we're closer to making $,
hence things just keep looking better
The why seemed to imply skepticism, doubt, or just tired of waiting.......care to elaborate?
Someone on the board may be able to help more than I.
Regardless the board is for discussion of pro and con in regards to QTMM and I am fully supportive of your freedom to express.
Hope this is helpful.
a little older article, but I wonder how much progress since then
Stanford Report, September 27, 2010
Solar cells thinner than wavelengths of light hold huge power potential, Stanford researchers say
Ultra-thin solar cells can absorb sunlight more efficiently than the thicker, more expensive-to-make silicon cells used today, because light behaves differently at scales around a nanometer (a billionth of a meter), say Stanford engineers. They calculate that by properly configuring the thicknesses of several thin layers of films, an organic polymer thin film could absorb as much as 10 times more energy from sunlight than was thought possible.
The project was supported by funding from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, which supports the Center for Advanced Molecular Photovoltaics at Stanford, and by the U.S. Department of Energy.
