PK,
Hello!
"Go easy on you?" What's that all about? haha It appears from reviewing the posts that the members here have respected your wishes. Does that mean you'll stop by again?
It was fantastic to see you drop by!

All:
I need your help with something:
As enticing as it may be, please refrain from all attempts to:
1) Publicly identify certain posters (that's why iHub utilizes monikers for those who choose to post on their boards)
2) Make comparisons between individuals who frequent this thread
3) Judge one another's motives and preface them as facts.
The end result of any of the above is usually a tit-for-tat that neither encourages nor adds to the outstanding DD this group has already proven themselves most capable of.
Thank you!
gktignol
kadiddlehopper,
Welcome to Integral Technologies' iHub board!
If ever there was a poster child for the old saw "Success breeds success" it would have to be Apple, would it not? At least one can say that about the Apple of late. Their coming out party this past week was nothing short of a phenom in the Sales & Marketing arena. I saw a spoof of Jobs on one of the cable channels this week in which he actually spoofed himself and said that his latest creation, the independent state of iDAHO was seceding from the union. It was quite funny and somewhat ties in to what an earlier poster (kPod) was referring to when he talked about "branding" and brand image -- Apple (formerly Apple Computer) is certainly on their way.
But I digress........
There should be no doubt that any company worth their salt is going to do whatever they have to do to gain any sort of strategic or competitive advantage possible (another reason why Apple is fighting Cisco Systems over the use of the iPhone name).
I was reading somewhere earlier that there were over 1 billion cell phones sold last year and of that number "only" 70 million were of the smart phone variety (I'm going from memory, but believe those numbers to be factually accurate), meaning iPhone or not, there's plenty of room for all. Will Integral Technologies capitalize in that particular niche market? That, as they say, is the $64,000.00 question.
Nice hearing from you!

gktignol

kPod,
Wow! That's a lot to chew on! Since you didn't ask any questions, I can only "comment on your comments."
While I believe your logic is bullet-proof, I'm just not sure there are many companies at this stage of their development who give much more than a passing thought to how they want to build the brand and the sort of image they want to portray. Should they? IMO, absolutely!
This is essentially a 5-person operation whose views / goals are more on the pragmatic side of things: Developing their patent portfolio; Protecting and promoting their IP; Securing funding for ongoing operations; Staying on top of the financials and their filings with the SEC; Shareholder Relations; etc., etc.
While I truly view Mr. Robinson and Mr. Aisenbrey as visionaries and big pictures guys in many respects, it doesn't appear that "brand image" is at the top of their list of things to give a lot of thought to at this time. While it's highly preferable to focus on those things early on, I don't think the opportunity will pass us by as they move forward with taking EP to market.
Thanks for another exceptional post!

qlt, thanks for the update
A guy's got to take care of business. Unfortunately, that's the way things work out sometimes and disappointment is indeed the end result.
I've heard only in very general terms that the presentation went extremely well. But, like you, I am waiting on others who may be able to provide an "up close and personal" review.
Thanks for your willingness in the first place to be our "eyes" at the show.

PATENT LICENSE AGREEMENT
This Patent License Agreement (the "AGREEMENT") is entered into by and between Integral Technologies, Inc., a Nevada corporation located at 805 West Orchard Street, #7, Bellingham, WA 98225 ("INTEGRAL") and ADAC Plastics, Inc., d/b/a ADAC Automotive, a Michigan corporation with offices at 5920 Tahoe Drive SE, PO Box 888375, Grand Rapids, MI 49588-8375 ("COMPANY") and is effective as of November 28, 2006 (the "EFFECTIVE DATE").
WHEREAS, Integral is the owner of certain technology, generally characterized as ElectriPlast technology;
WHEREAS, particular applications of the technology are covered by certain patent rights defined below and those patent rights are owned by Integral; and
WHEREAS, Company wishes to obtain a non-exclusive license under such patents to develop, manufacture, and sell certain products;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and of the mutual covenants and agreements herein contained, receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereby agree as follows:
1. DEFINITIONS.
1.2. "LICENSED FIELD" means the manufacture and sale of Products for use in (i) car antennas; (ii) cup holder heating elements; (iii) driver's seat heating elements; and (iv) light-emitting diode (LED) packs manufactured and sold by the entities listed in the attached Exhibit A, and such other uses as may be agreed upon in writing and signed by the parties.
1.3. "LICENSED PRODUCT" means any Product made, used, sold, or otherwise disposed of by or for Company that (i) uses the Raw Materials and (ii) is either branded with a Company brand or is designed by Company and sold in
Company's ordinary course of business. Licensed Products do not include "private label" Products or other products sold without a designation that Company is the source of the Product.
1.4. "LICENSED PATENTS" means the (i) patents, provisional patent applications, and utility patent applications set forth in Exhibit B;
1.5. "PRODUCT" means any product (i) the manufacture, use, sale, offer for sale, or import of which is covered by at least one claim of the Licensed Patents; or (ii) produced by a process, the practice of which is covered by at least one claim of the Licensed patents.
1.6. "RAW MATERIALS" means the Technology, as Integral provides it to Company, on a per weight basis for use in manufacturing Licensed Products.
1.7. "TECHNOLOGY" means Integral's proprietary ElectriPlast(TM) technology, portions of which may be covered by the Licensed Patents. The Technology is a compounded, pelletized formulation of resin-based materials, which are conductively loaded or doped with a proprietary controlled, balanced concentration of micron conductive materials contained within the manufactured pellet. The conductive loading or doping within this
pellet is then homogenized using conventional molding techniques and conventional molding equipment. The resulting polymer is electrically conductive.
3.4. New Joint Developments.
------------------------
3.4.1. All technology, information and inventions ("New Developments"), whether or not patentable, developed jointly by Integral and Company that concern the Technology (including the manufacture or formulation of the Raw Materials) shall be the exclusive property of Integral.
daviking,
Please repost your question and see what happens. It may be that it just got "lost" among the other posts.
Re: your comment, "when it comes down to brass tacks, the patents aren't covering anything because the companies that have signed licenses aren't using any of the patents' uses"
What makes you say / think that?
Thanks,

For your planning purposes

Level 3 to Acquire SAVVIS Content Delivery Network
via COMTEX
December 26, 2006
Transaction Combines Industry Leading Network Scale and Video Capabilities with Pioneering Content Distribution Capabilities
Company Will Be Well Positioned to Target Growth of Rich Media Services over the Internet
BROOMFIELD, Colo., Dec 26, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --
Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Content Delivery Network (CDN) services business of SAVVIS, Inc. (Nasdaq: SVVS). Under the terms of the agreement, Level 3 will pay $135 million in cash consideration to acquire certain assets, including network elements, customer contracts, and intellectual property used in SAVVIS's CDN business. The purchase price is subject to certain customary post closing working capital adjustments.
SAVVIS's CDN services business, based in Thousand Oaks, Calif., with approximately 50 employees and over 100 customers, provides solutions that improve performance, reliability, scalability and reach of customers' online content. Initially developed in 1996 as Sandpiper Networks, the division developed, deployed and operated the world's first content delivery network. It has a globally distributed infrastructure in more than 20 countries.
"The acquisition of SAVVIS's CDN services business will enable Level 3 to better address the increasing opportunity presented by rich media applications such as video, Web 2.0 applications, multiplayer online gaming and software as a service over the Internet," said Kevin O'Hara, president and chief operating officer of Level 3. "We are looking forward to welcoming the pioneers of CDN to our team.
"The largest customers of CDN services rely on a combination of capabilities to support their businesses. These include services like CDN, IP transit, wavelengths, metro transport, and colocation. Upon completion of this transaction, Level 3 believes that it will be the only CDN services provider with a single source, full portfolio of end-to-end content distribution solutions, and will be in a unique position to offer a range of building blocks to meet these customers' needs.
"Level 3 already has a strong brand and capabilities in video distribution through its Vyvx business. With native CDN capabilities and with Level 3's highly scalable, industry-leading IP backbone, we believe that Level 3 will be able to bring additional value to all video-centric companies by delivering video in a more intelligent and comprehensive way to a broader range of destinations.
"This acquisition does not require the type of physical integration associated with the metro and backbone transactions we announced earlier this year. We are confident in our ability to incorporate this key capability into our portfolio."
SAVVIS's content delivery customers include some of the largest enterprises in the world, including Microsoft.
"As we grow our online services business, stability and control over our network infrastructure becomes increasingly important to deliver great experiences for our customers, partners and advertisers," said Arne Josefsberg, general manager of Global Foundation Services at Microsoft. "We look forward to a continued relationship with Level 3 as they embark upon this next phase of their network evolution."
SAVVIS's CDN business had approximately $15 million in revenue for the nine months ending September 30, 2006.
Closing is subject to customary conditions, including receipt of Hart- Scott-Rodino approval. Closing is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2007.

Another reason
for not placing stop losses on highly volatile stocks like ITKG. This is definitely not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

Fantastic, qlt!
More-than-likely, most here will not be able to attend, so your willingness to report your first-hand experiences there will be a benefit to all of us.
I, for one, would appreciate any feedback you would care to share, not only on what you saw, but on your general perceptions of their presentation and prototypes, as well as others reactions to it.
Thank you!

MrPlum,
You said, "Can you just clarify the statement about the licence agreement with Jasper. Is there a difference between a licencing agreement and a manufacturing agreement? Do they have one or both?'
Yes, there's a huge difference. They have both and both are good.
The license agreement: The details of this agreement were made public on September 13, 2006. Here are a couple of paragraphs from that release....
"Jasper’s CEO and President Doug Mathias, commenting on the license said, “We are very excited about our future opportunities utilizing the family of ElectriPlast™ materials and feel fortunate to be working with Integral to bring this patented technology to commercial success.
Integral and Jasper will work together, to bring to market products that will meet and exceed the needs of Jasper’s customers. (emphasis mine - gktignol) Jasper has an excellent reputation and brings a strong sales force to the equation which will begin to identify new business opportunities for the ElectriPlast™ technology throughout North America. We at Integral look forward to further business with Jasper Rubber."
As emphasized, this agreement was inked to meet the needs of JRP's customer base.
The Manufacturing Agreement: The details of this agreement were made public on November 30, 2006. Here are a couple of paragraphs from that release...
"Bellingham, WA-Integral Technologies, Inc.’s (“ITKG-OTC:BB”) ("Integral"), announces that it has selected Jasper Rubber Products Inc. (Jasper) (www.jasperrubber.com) as the official manufacturer of ElectriPlast™, the world’s first highly conductive polymer. Jasper is also a licensee of Electriplast™. This manufacturing agreement moves Integral’s ElectriPlast™ from the prototype stage to production stage, as the Company will now be able to get the necessary material to well over 100 companies that are currently under NDA (non-disclosure agreements) with Integral.
Jasper’s CEO and President Doug Mathias, commenting on Jasper becoming the official manufacturer of ElectriPlast™ said, “This groundbreaking agreement positions Jasper to contribute to the long-term success of Integral by providing a solid manufacturing source, (emphasis mine - gktignol) while delivering ISO/TS certified quality, for the family of ElectriPlast™ materials."
There was/is pent-up demand for ElectriPlast. The formalization of this agreement will go a long way toward rectifying that situation.
They are licensed to utilize EP w/their existing customer base as well as holding the title of being their official world wide manufacturing partner. Sounds like a sweet spot for both Integral and Jasper.
regards,
gktignol
