BE news and chart
I played this one awhile back for some gains, I really like how it trades. If news gives it a boost it could be a really nice play today IMO

I've been looking back over some of the plays which I posted before market open this morning as I gathered news on them. Some had some exceptional moves, mainly GVHR and RSH.
I will be doing more of this in the future as this is a way to react to what the market is doing that day and plan a strategy to make a gain from it.
For instance, what I looked for this morning as I checked news was news of large contracts or financials either beating expectations or coming up short of expectations.
In checking the charts I looked for those that were trading low or downtrending if they had an earnings surprise for a possible long entry, RSH was a good example of this set up. If they missed earnings I looked on the charts for ones that had been trending up or were trading at the top of their channel for a possible short play.
RSH beat what analysts had expected on financials. When looking at the chart they had actually been in a downtrend so I believed that the earnings surprise had not been expected by investors. Needless to say RSH gapped up from yesterday's close of 15.74 and opened at 17.03. From there it ran up to 19.46. That's a 14.3% gain possible if it had been played that precisely. We all know we aren't going to get all of the run but in looking back at the 5 min chart one could have easily gotten in at 17.25 to 17.50 and out at 19.00 that's still over an 8% gain possible.
Hopefully this will open up some opportunities for nice plays in the future
Very nice indeed, I definitely like the sound of that play, congrats!!
GLOI news and chart
Be careful here, this one only has around 9,659,574 shares issued and outstanding and it looks like most of those are held by insiders and institutional holders. Volume is almost nothing. Could get very interesting to watch though as any pressure would send it skyward in a hurry.

GVHR news and chart
8:18AM Gevity beats by $0.19, beats on revs (GVHR) 6.59 : Reports Q4 (Dec) earnings of $0.27 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.19 better than the First Call consensus of $0.08; revenues fell 6.1% year/year to $147.0 mln vs the $145.3 mln consensus. Also, Gevity has completed a comprehensive strategic review of its non co-employed offering, Gevity Edge Select, with a decision to exit this market effective immediately in order to pursue profitable growth in its core PEO business.
HWAY trading just a bit over 33.00 in premarket, would have been a nice one to have shorted.
On the other hand, with that much of a sudden drop, pinch will get tighter and this will be an incredible play at some time.
LJPC chart
Sweet looking chart here IMO. Credit for this find goes to Wicked1 over on the pincher plays board as that is where I found it at.
LJPC looks ready IMO, I really like the chart set up. Thanks for posting it

RSH news and chart, could be a nice play today, revenues beat consensus and it's been in a 6 month downtrend. Chart is shaped up for a very nice move with indicators coming off bottom only thing that may hold it back is that revenues fell from year to year. Worth keeping an eye on it IMO
6:16AM RadioShack beats by $0.05, beats on revs (RSH) 15.74 : Reports Q4 (Dec) earnings of $0.77 per share, $0.05 better than the First Call consensus of $0.72; revenues fell 6.4% year/year to $1.36 bln vs the $1.33 bln consensus.

PNM Chart
I'm looking for a nice sweeping bottom on this one. I don't think the bottom is too far away, could get a nice reverse j or hook formation with this one.
UMC chart
OMCL chart
Nice tight pinch, just now starting to release just a bit. IMO it's close to making a nice move here.
BIDZ chart
From scan set up for bullish crossovers on moving averages
Not much has changed on my scan for tonight, many from last nights scan are still in play and will be most of the week
Tomorrow night I may run some scans for moving averages and post some of the better looking plays
AB Chart
This was found completely by error, made a typo on stockcharts and once I looked at it I kind of took a liking to it. Chart looks to be shaping up very nice here
SIRF chart
Posted IAR chart for it by mistake this morning
EPEX chart
One on my scan tonight that I don't remember seeing before, not looking too bad.
I'm not positive how you have your scan set for backtesting. When I run my pincher scan I end up with 50% right down the middle, gainers vs losers.
I may have something set different or scan may be significantly different from yours.
The scan I use on a regular basis is as follows:
Show stocks where PPO(12,26,9) is less than -.15
and ADX(14) is greater than 25
and Average Volume(10) is above 200000
and close is between .50 and 125
HWAY looking good as well. Notice the formation of the candles, Nice reverse J, should pop very nice if I was guessing at it. Very nice find.

I really like the chart on ZOLT, looks like a winner to me
just a bit but it doesn't get much more fun than this
best one I've timed in awhile, JK and I both jumped in at the same time right before it spiked up over 2.20
I'm speechless at this time.
With runs like this why would anyone play OTCBB or pinks???
TRIS just printed 3.00, someone call 911 I think I'm gonna stroke out here.........lol
TRIS, looks like of the 4,203,000 shares issued and outstanding over 50% of them are held by insiders
should leave a float of just a bit over 2 million
220 million dollar contract from Social Security over 10 years is 22 million per year
22 million per year divided by 4,203,000 gives it revenue of 5.23 per share for the next 10 years.
I like those numbers
TRIS looking exceptional here, grabbed some at 2.15, super low floater with just a bit over 4 million shares outstanding and big news out on SS contract
BSX news out
