Solomon's Board believes his enthusiasm and initiative will be instrumental in achieving our goals and increasing shareholder value."
Mr. Brandt commented, "I am extremely pleased to be leading Solomon and capitalizing on the many opportunities ahead. I am convinced that growing through exploiting our intellectual property in the alternative energy markets coupled with the acquisition of complementary assets will be an effective engine for bringing great returns to shareholders. I look forward to working with the whole Solomon team as we move forward."
Another idea I have had to get the word out about this FCCN/AERO deal is to contact someone at The Sleuth: http://www.pennysleuth.com/
I know that they have some very good recommendations on speculative plays in the small cap and penny stock markets. If anyone has any connections to them, or is a subscriber to any of their reports, it might be a good idea to send them an email with some information on this merger (I am going to email them today). I know that they have a substantially large distribution among investors that can really impact the PPS of speculative buys.
Check out what happened to SOLM just after this article was released last year in July/August:

I will be the 3rd. Sent him a question this afternoon, and still have not heard back...maybe because he got a few other emails.
Will post the response when I get one.
beandog, thanks for comming back in today and saying all that! This kind of sentiment is exactly what I have been hoping for. I have a much much smaller position than what you have had and intend on having again when the confusion is gone. As a current "bag holder" I am much more at ease knowing there is some big money just waiting for clarification. I also hope that since you are back on this board that it is a sign that we really should be seeing that filing to clear up all matters SOON!!!!
This is some BS...here is what Scottrade just emailed me:

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

By the time they get back to me, the restriction will probably have been lifted. LOL...and they will probably just tell me that it has been lifted and not give me any real reasons. Oh, well, I tried.
Been doing some DD on 14A filings. It looks like there are several varieties of 14A's.
PRE 14A and DEF 14A are for Solicitation of Materials. In our case it was the announcemnt for FCCN to call for shareholder vote on BDC status (along with giving us some confusing info about shar structure, merger talk, and some background on the management)
PREM 14A and DEFM 14A are for Mergers and Acquisitions. Looking at a couple of other companies filings of these forms, in which the company lays out the exact terms of merger/share structure..., there is usually a very direct positive effect on PPS when these forms are filed.
Has anyone asked specifically which form 14A's we will be seeing "in the near future"?
Finally got a reply from Scottrade about the online buying restrictions. Sounds like a generic response to me...I will try to get some more out of them. Copy of email:
Dear Client,
Thank you for your e-mail. Due to unusual and/or suspicious trading in penny stocks, it is occasionally necessary for Scottrade to temporarily restrict online purchases. There is no set time that these restrictions are in place. Please note that these restrictions are temporary and they do not prevent investors from selling these securities online or purchasing these securities at the internet commission rate through your local Scottrade branch office.
You may obtain the telephone number of your local Scottrade branch office through our home page under branch locator - http://www.scottrade.com/online_brokerage_firm_locator/
Should you have any further questions, please reply to this e-mail or contact your local branch office.
Thanks,

OK, I just sent an email to Scottrade asking them why there is a restriction and when it will be lifted also. Will post when I get an answer.
The reason I said that is because the 14A could be released any day now and that, along with the lifing of online trading restrictions, will get the PPS moving up in a hurry. IMO.
Eastern Time???
I think that Toyota could easily settle for much more than that amount.
The number of hybrids sold last year alone topped the 1/4 million mark
from: www.greencarcongress.com/2007/01/sales_of_hybrid.html
Toyota sales represented 75% of the total according to the article.
The electric wheels cost either 18k or 33k from Solomon.
If you figure they have to settle for lost profits, then:
(250k)0.75*20k = $3.75 Billion
And that is just to cover last years US Toyota hybrid sales. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong here.
I'd say those who want cheap shares might have one more day at the most to get them.
Penny - SOLM has been trading well for a couple weeks and is ready to POP on any news IMO.
Would you say so?
IMO we see $10 by mid March with a positive initial determination from the Administrative Law Judge.
I don't think Toyota will wait until the ITC final vote in May to come to some kind of settlement terms (and the terms should be significant for STI).
Then, after the notoriety they will receive from this case, and once their acquisitions in the works are finalized, I think we could continue to see significant rises in PPS. They should be in a great position to land several large licencing agreements this year.
So, we will not be seeing it until after this Friday. Why do people keep saying that we will see it this week? Let's not set anybody up for a dissapointment who might be expecting it before then.
Re: 10 day requirement between Pre 14A and Def 14A
Does anybody know if the 10 days is a minimum or maximum time between submittals?
Got it, thanks
I am wondering what the volume up looks like compared to the volume down today. Does anyone have a link to charts that show this detail?
IMO this thing will not get going anywhere fast until online trading restrictions are lifted. What does it take to get this off of the restriction list???
Anyone???
Thanks to all who are attempting to clear the muddied water. That includes you, Mr. Peacock. I did appreciate the 8K today. It shows me you are sincerely concerned about your companies shareholders.
I will be looking foreword to the 14A that will be comming "very soon" and the conference call to follow.
Here's to untethering this ship and getting her ready to FLY!!!
Nite all.
I got in two weeks ago near the high point - late to the FIRST party:( but I was able to double down today.
Been keeping track of the chatter here, and it has been helpfull at times. I am confident that we will all be much fatter in the wallet here w/in the next few weeks/months. My only question now is what should we expect within the next two weeks or so?
I have had to rob Peter to pay Paul - so to speak, and would really like to re-pay Paul before he boards the "train to the moon".
BTW, Paul=SOLM
Thanks Penny
Will hold and watch it develop
Penny, I have been watching your moves and admire your TA. I am just now learning how to read the charts, but still have a lot of room to grow. I have a decent position with SOLM, and would appreciate your interpretation on their chart. I know it is trading higher than your typical plays, but it is looking good to me. MA 50 crossed 100 with a symmetric triangle. BIG NEWS (of unprecedented proportion) expected in < 3 weeks.
I have showed up late to too many parties, and I would hate to miss this one.
5 new form 4's filed on Edgar over the last two days

Mr. Bo
Thanks for the patent reminder. Thought I would post the abstract here with the inventors and company name for all to see. I am not sure if this has been posted here before or not, and I am not about to read through the long list of posts to find out. All you have to do is enter the patent number into this site to get all the gory details:

United States Patent 6,679,351

Air turbine for combustion engine
Abstract
An air turbine apparatus for use with a combustion engine either as a muffler or as an air intake device is comprised of a housing defining an expansion chamber and an airfoil positioned within the housing. The airfoil includes a central aperture extending longitudinally therethrough that is in fluid communication with both the inlet and the outlet of the housing. The airfoil is configured to allow gases flowing through the inlet to flow between the outer edge of the airfoil and the housing and through the aperture of the airfoil. In addition, the air traveling through the housing is caused to spin as it travels through the housing. This rotational flow increased the rate of flow of gases through the air turbine device. A chop core is provided between the airfoil and the outlet of the housing to encourage turbulent flow of gases without restricting flow to produce a muffling effect and thus a dampening of noise from the combustion engine.

Why is this board so quiet???
I am new to Ihub, but have been invested in SOLM for a few months now, and I've been keeping tabs on the Raging Bull board.
