Thanks for the clarification, references and sharing your outlook wolf. Your howling and inside jokes might be a little confusing, but you’re bring value to the board.
Howl away.
Wolf, from my understanding the NOA will be issued in August then cvsi Will have 6 months to present proof of commercial use(which can be as simple as a Printed marketing flyer).
Do you think their 3Q innovation they spoke of is New Harvest line? Or a different concept?
Wolf are you saying New Harvest will not include ® on the consumer packaging, but will in the educational assets? That is until fda allows cannabis and cbd product trademarks.
Hopefully the shorts are spending their time and $$ over at CW. Gives us more time for us longs to accumulate over here.
Packaging proofs are usually finalized 3-6 months before a CPG release. The design team and whomever approved the New Harvest packaging knows whether it says New Harvest® or New Harvest™.
So its likely done and printed , likely 99% likely.
If they put ® they fucked up.
Either way trademark registration should not be the hold up for the roll out of the line.
Makes me really wonder what the final New Harvest packaging design looks like, was it stated: New Harvest , New Harvest® or New Harvest™ ?
Hope someone from the company looks at this board and can kick that around.
They are going to deny it, its all right there in the cannabis journal link. But it will remain pending so they can still use it and state New Harvest™ for a place holder for when or FDA allows products containing THC and CBD to be trademark.
Dowling and team have likely known this all along.
My excitement for New Harvest was stronger yesterday, but realize a trademark won't make much a difference at retail short term if the products, branding, pricing and distribution are all on point. Long term it will be good to have if you want to protect the brand.
Not worried about a potential "little bounce" I expect a bounce when you are plugging a new brand line into existing retail partners. Just stating there is no reason to wait for a verdict from the USPTO, better to be honest with your shareholders and out in front of the fact they won't get a ® for New Harvest.
Chalk up another smear for Dowling as he was likely fully aware of this and not being transparent with what the DD here on the Ihub site uncovers. He's the worst part about this whole company. We need a leader, he's just trying to protect his salary for the time being knowing that once CBD is federally approved and the company scales or finds a 007 partner he will get squeezed out.
CV Silences
I say roll out New Harvest ASAP without the ® and just use the ™ which is legal and puts emphasis on needed guidelines. The ™ also puts a holding place for the future registration once the feds make a decision and would deter any other company from attempting to register the mark in the US.
From the Cannabis journal and likely applies to CBD.

Unique trademark issues for the cannabis industry
Like almost every aspect in the cannabis industry, there are some unique trademark issues that breeders and growers must contend with. With regard to federal registration, the USPTO will currently not allow registration of any trademark for cannabis products that are illegal under federal law. However, that does not mean that every cannabis-related product cannot obtain any federal trademark protection. The reason for this is that a federal trademark registration is tied to specific types of goods that are being sold under the mark, so the ability to register a desired brand name will depend on what type of goods are covered by the trademark.
To that end, a mark that covers actual cannabis products (like plants or edibles) cannot currently be federally registered even if the mark does not actually include the word cannabis. For example, a breeder likely could not federally register the brand name “River’s Edge Farms” for the sale of cannabis plants and plant parts. However, a mark that covers products that are related to the cannabis industry may be allowable – even if it references cannabis –if the goods being sold under the mark are not themselves illegal under federal law. For example, “Pot Maximizer,” a trademark name for a grow light that is being sold to cannabis growers, could be federally registered since it is not illegal to sell a grow light.
Under current federal law, which prohibits the cultivation and sale of cannabis plants and their parts, a federal trademark registration is certainly not currently available for new cannabis varieties. However, this does not mean that trademark registration for new cannabis varieties is impossible. Most states with legalized cannabis will allow registration of state trademarks for cannabis products (e.g., Washington, Oregon, Colorado).
Further, since branding is a long-term strategy it is important for growers and breeders to keep the requirements for federal registration in mind when adopting a branding strategy to ensure they can obtain federal protection for their current brand names if and when cannabis becomes federally legal.
Yeah it’s best to not print or sell packaging with a ® before the Process is complete. @DarthHATER
Yes 11 weeks from June 2 they will receive the NOA on New Harvest.
Which looks to be the week of August 10th.

Hoping all the longs are down here accumulating at these prices, even if its 200 shares here and there. If you're wild enough to have been on the ride down might as well go all in. I'm a novice trader but know CPG retail really well. I compare CBD to craft beer as the amount of entries went from 800 breweries in the US in 2008 to over 7000 now. Guess who still remains on top Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams, because they have a high standard of ingredients, innovations and procedures and the big box retail buyers love them and continue to support them after all these years. Craft beer was a 3% share in 2008 of total beer now its around a 10 share with SN and Sam still out front.
I see the same thing playing out in the CBD sector over the next 10 years. Awareness grows and expands, margin compression occurs and the leaders navigate the noise. Once the flood gates open for supplements CVSI will be there as a first entry. They will likely be asked to do private label CBD for the Walmarts of the world.
Separating out the 007 in the next 12 months would be nice, but no reason to rush spending on it if they haven't found the right partner.
An existing premium pet brand would be beneficial for both parties to collaborate on a CBD pet food line together. As the highest quality CBD producer the big pet brands should be looking at CVSI as their source of CBD.
Sucks to be at this price as we likely are undervalued by $1.50 right now, but as stated keeping my chips on the table and adding.
Have a great weekend all.
We will likely see more of these celebrity CBD company stories.
Spending company funds lavishly.

YCBD better have their shit(contracts) together, because they are doing a lot of endorsement deals.
Looks like they gained new distribution in Sprouts. I can also remember when Sprouts only had 5 skus of CBD now they have an entire end cap stating "topical CBD" with a 3x5ft full glass case of products.
The CBD bath salts on top of the case were a new delivery format. I'd seen the CBD bath bombs, but not the salts.
This National Treasury and FIN CEN news "should" help the potential of an uplist for HEMP derived CBD businesses. Unfortunately CBD is not specifically included in the verbiage.

I too agree that the lack of PR is unfortunate, but I understand remaining the most professional and private about specific matters will increase the potential chance of meeting and influencing with key decision makers(gov't, public tasing platforms), retailers and potential business partners.
Being a squeaky wheel that punches harder than your weight only works for so long.
I think this is another reason people are hold LONG, they know when either 007 patent partnership news breaks or FDA makes a decision CVSI is going to run up fast.
Its a tough policy to remain a quiet player in such a competitive space, but that's a risk many shareholders are willing to risk.
thanks to people like SpaceLady for keeping the positive news going while.......
We wait...........
Will Canopy, Phillip Morris, Juul or someone with massive resources and funding catch wind of this and get Dowling to approve a 007 partnership?
Solid Positive News Smooth Legend
We have our reasons, you can bring your assessment up again in Q2 in 2021 when they put it on the proxy again. For now don't waste your time, because many of us have explained our reasoning for voting against the R/s. Not a topic worth discussing right now.
I'd be happy with holding steady between .55 and .70 until July 1.
There are 2 things to watch until then, the completion of the John Hopkins CBD nicotine 2 year study and the final approval of New Harvest trademark that was posted on June 1(in one month pending period). Hopefully we see the unveiling of New Harvest in early q3, the earlier the better. I would like to see a separate e-commerce platform for New Harvest as well, so they can differentiate the brand positioning from Plus.
You duplicate. I work full time and have 2 kids.
Are you saying my link does not take you to the petition?
Too late anyway unless you want to create a change.org version.
Here we go on the petition. Sign and post to all your favorite retailer and fb pages.
https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/sign-to-demand-fda-guidelines-for-full-2
Anyone want to provide an image/logo for the petition?
Using Space Lady's edit. We can always change, but she's done so much for this board I feel its only right to use her edit, plus her wordsmith is proper.
Anyone want to edit the mission of the petition text?
?We the citizens of the United States are calling on the FDA's overdue guidelines on Full Spectrum Hemp Derived CBD Supplement products. Countless studies on 10,000's of individuals have repetitively outlined the benefits and more importantly the safety of Full Spectrum Hemp Derived CBD Supplements in daily doses under 50mg. We are asking that you do your job and stop dragging you feet on a this harmless and beneficial product. We are in need of your precise guideline to the fair market for Full Spectrum Hemp Derived CBD Supplements?. We understand your concern with CBD isolates and the concerns with adding CBD to food and beverage and feel those decisions should be withheld until later dates. As a supplement we feel Full Spectrum CBD through a supplemental delivery method and dosage under 50mg should be treated no different than the melatonin supplements sold legal in all retail channels in all 50 states.
I can organize the petition, but we need the best title, mission and general messaging. I'm no wordsmith. Anyone want to take a scratch at it?
Anyone up to create a online signature platform to collect signatures in demand that FDA take action on classifying full spectrum CBD supplements? We can post to various CBD company and retailer facebook pages. As we gain momentum continue to post and post the poll in the comments in every post on the FDA's FB site. I'm not sure how to create the initial signature platform, but I'm betting we could gain a 100K signatures in less than a month if we work together and spread the platform?
Sitting silent and frustrated isn't going to help so figured we could do something constructive.
Surely not the lobbying power but a gnat in their ear that won't go away.
SL, Sorry to hear your thoughts on exiting your position, but I see your reasoning.
You would think so, but lobbyist funding in the MJ sector could try to keep the attention of the decision makers. I have lost faith in the FDA, but not CVSI.
CNNC: Canopy Ceo thinks weed will be federally legal in 2022. My thoughts are that feds might want to and will be pushed further to tackle the non-psychoactive CBD category prior to full strength THC.
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/16/canopy-growth-ceo-expects-weed-will-be-legalized-federally-by-2022.html
No Split!!!!
not federally. Some retailers are selling but they risk local agencies interfering and possibly fining the retailer. As for ocean spray, this is just one line in their 3 rd party innovation pipeline. doubt it took much to work as beverage innovation firms can get something like this ready for market in less than 8 weeks. I work in beverage innovation so its safe to say some big players are getting their ducks in a row in case CBD in beverage is approved federally.
Don't expect to see this ocean spray CBD beverage at retailers unless you live in Colorado where the 3rd party innovation delver of this product is located.
Colorado is a state where distributors and retailers will support CBD. They will ship direct to consumer outside of Colorado through e commerce. Very doubtful their main distributors UNFI, KEHE and Sysco will add this product to their offering.
Seeing a lot of green innovation staying within the state of colorado.
Yes I did not catch the end date last time we bantered about this and I took a look at it. thanks
Which particular study? What end date are you looking at?
Holding until I see CBD ingestible in the mainstream chains (Kroger, Taget, Walmart) or until the FDA says no. I believe if CVSI will be one of the first, if not the first to get their products on the shelves at the big chains.
As a team I like the management Grasser, Mackay and Tomc, but not a fan of Dowling.
I agree CBD should be treated like melatonin and not allowed to be sold in Food and Beverages.
Patent is best to partner up ASAP to help lift the stock price closer to Nasdaq levels.
My gut instinct thinks the q3 products were collaborated with and for Sprouts.
New Harvest, Sprouts, see the branding opportunity?
Spouts has 300 stores(high traffic/volume), and someone on our board knows them very well.
All speculative, but these are my hold out points for now.
Great Smooth Legend. Some studies going on, smart people being funded to cut through some of the work for CV and potential partner. Specifically to your link, no results, but if this Mr Dustin Clark Lee comes back with positive results from his studies funded at John Hopkins would that not just increase the value of CVSI's patent?
Hey Smooth Legend "I agree, legality is not an issue. It was Monas, and now it’s the share price."
If share price is the issue, release the new products and announce a partnership to develop the patent.
