Sutherland Starts His 48-Day Jail Term
By DAISY NGUYEN, AP
LOS ANGELES —
Kiefer Sutherland was sentenced Wednesday to 48 days in jail for racking up a second drunken-driving arrest in three years and immediately reported to a city lockup. The star of the Fox TV drama "24" was being processed at the Glendale city jail, said Officer John Balian.
Sutherland, 40, who pleaded no contest in October to driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of .08, appeared in court with his attorney and politely answered the judge's questions, said Assistant City Attorney Dan Jeffries.
His request to serve his time at the Glendale city jail was granted and he was ordered to complete the sentence by March 30, Jeffries said.
"Kiefer made the decision to surrender to custody immediately," his attorney, Blair Berk, told The Associated Press.

Hurd, EFF ready Micro economics
Duo pump prospects for '70s toy line
By DANA HARRIS
March 24, 2003.
HOLLYWOOD -- "The Hulk" producer Gale Anne Hurd and Emmett/Furla Films have teamed to revive the Micronauts toy and comic line for feature and television development.
Originally produced and still sold in Japan by Takara, Mego Toys' Micronauts were a series of interchangeable space toys. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Mego sold more than $300 million in product, second only to the line of "Star Wars" merchandise. It was then adapted as a long-running Marvel Comics series.
Also in the Micronauts partnership are the line's owner, Abrams/Gentile Entertainment, and third-party licensing company Character Vision, which oversaw a limited release of Micronaut toys and comics last year.
EFF roster
Randall Emmett and George Furla's EFF brought the Micronauts property to Hurd. EFF co-executive produced Paramount Picture's "Narc" and is in pre-production on "Belly of the Beast" starring Steven Seagal. Now in post is "Wonderland," which EFF executive produced for Lions Gate.
Abrams/Gentile is a Gotham-based entertainment, design and production company that includes toy and video game design, animation and prime-television development. The shingle is wrapping production on animated holiday special "Little Light" featuring Jane Seymour.
Character Vision clients include Morgan Creek, nationally syndicated comic strip "The Boondocks" and Extreme Demolition Derby.

Actor opts for weird roles

From playing a dominatrix to a role in a dungeon siege tale, Leelee Sobieski does it all.
By JIM SLOTEK, SUN MEDIA
"It's a nice movie," she says of Walk All Over Me. "I had no real reason to say yes to it, but Robert (Cuffley, the B.C. writer/director) really wanted me, like he just picked me. Sometimes in L.A., you get things sent to you and the feeling is they would pick you or any of 10 other people, and the first one that says yes gets the part."
"But I couldn't figure it out, because I'm nothing like Alberta (the girl she plays in the movie). This girl is from a small town and I was born in New York City, my dad's French and I've had a completely different upbringing. Then I realized, 'Hey, I'm an actress!' The script was charming and fresh and went in all these directions. I just had to eliminate every single bit of experience-based knowledge that I had in my life to become this naive troublemaker."
Walk All Over Me was "a great experience, with a great team, the kind of experience that makes me love my job. It was also part of a string of movies that required her to spend most of seven months in Vancouver.
One of those films, The Wicker Man, received five "worst picture/actor" Razzie Award nominations, and another, In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (due to be released next month), was by Uwe Boll, reputedly the world's worst director. Another Vancouver job, with a slightly better pedigree, was the Al Pacino crime thriller 88 Minutes, also due out next year.
Sometimes you love this job so much, and sometimes you have an experience that's just OK," Sobieski says. "But you have this job that so many people would like to have and it's their dream, and you get to travel and have fun and learn and act, it's amazing. It comes with some negative things, but you turn them into positives."
Most recently, Sobieski was in Bulgaria, shooting the action-thriller Night Train with Danny Glover and Steve Zahn. "I was staying in this weird little Mafia town outside Sofia, so I didn't see much of it. I just saw men with guns and stuff.
"The movie's a suspense kind of action-y thing with humour, dark and twisted. And I play a very mysterious character, the most mysterious character ever!" she enthuses. "It's very cool!"

If I remember right Emmett and Furla are Jewish.. Oh thats right its a double holiday.. Go FMLY!!
Thanks Stan for all the updates!!
Hopefully not a stupid question but where are you looking at Level II real time? I have Ameritrade and that is poor at best when it comes to pinkies.
Since there is no follow through and quite frankly looking back it looked like a flip.. selling to someone then buying to cover.. My thoughts.. Thought we had something.. Weird.
Then you could buy the whole float for $190,000
Wouldn't that make Furla stand up and take notice.
Who splurged with $60.00?????
Anybody figured out what the value of this company is now?
Up 2.4 cents in early trading... Did the system finally see the potential?

The Best Movies of 2008 - Part One
So, here's a list of the first 10 biggest movies coming your way in 2008 ... (the next 10 in Part Two)
- John Rambo ... Yes, Sylvester Stallone is back to save the day!
A group of Christian Aid workers have gone missing in a remote Burmese village, Rambo comes to the rescue. It might sound like a bad idea, but don't forget, Sly saved the Rocky franchise, he might be able to save Rambo!
http://www.waleg.com/celebrities/archives/010090.html
Who is the John Rambo we’ll meet in 2008? We’ll know soon enough when the new film hits in January but in the meantime, Sylvester Stallone has been kind enough to answer the question for us via email. Here’s his answer:
John Rambo is a withdrawn man who is finally at peace with himself because he’s checked out of civilaztion. He realizes and believes that war is natural and peace is an accident — and he wants no part of either.

Welcome Tony,
Can you or anyone confirm that we have profit participation in Rambo, John Rambo not sure what its called today..
Anyone see anything about "Stephanie Heinrich" and her show on TV?
Or is this a hype like Paris Hilton..
How long has it been since they made first mention??? March 07?
Anyway its been some time and still absolutely nada from them.. I just get more and more optimistic every day about these two..
Everyone have a wonderful next few days (some of you live where its perpetually warm like Hawaii) but most importantly drive safely and wear your seat belt.. No DUI's, Designated drivers. We are having a 3 legged turkey, my son drew it in kindergarten so we are having it.
Screen scene: It’s cold for indies
More than a dozen movies opened in New York last week, and the deluge of celluloid is set to continue. The current is running so fast I can barely blog them all–and there’s evidently not much time for anyone to see them, either, as to judge from the boxoffice results many of them will be off to DVD prep by month’s end. They’ll be as dead and gone as the unfortunate soul in the picture.
In the case of Mike Cahill’s King of California, there’s probably not much inclination to attend, either. No longer an A-list star of the testosterone-fueled white male rage pictures of his heyday, but not really a supporting player, either, Michael Douglas tries a character lead in a very low-key comedy drama as a bipolar musician searching for conquistador gold under a Costco in California, much to the dismay of more sensible teenage daughter Evan Rachel Wood. Douglas has some fun in the part, which has trace elements of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (\hich he produced) and the Romancing the Stone pictures, but the shaggy dog film is so relaxed and unassuming it practically begs for you to watch it on pay-per-view.

King of California
WORTH-IT: (Cahill) Kudos to Mike Cahill for his debut film, King of California: a terrific, absolutely terrific, film about believing in yourself, and in your family. Performances from Evan Rachel Wood and Michael Douglas credit this film for the acclaim it deserved (and received) at Sundance this year. The film is eclectic with a Little Miss Sunshine feel, but it digs deeper into the mind, shifting towards a Big Fish storyline. To trust your father or not trust your father? That is the common question. It combines fantasy and real-life in such a way that makes you question which is authentic and which deserves more attention? Douglas's Charlie is a single hippie father freshly discharged from a mental hospital and living without restriction in the house he can't pay for. Daughter Miranda, who has been supporting herself by selling McD's for the last two years, rolls her eyes in constant frustration over her father's relentless insistence that while he was in the hospital, he discovered a journal revealing the location of a large Spanish treasure dropped in the 17th century. Once home, he delves into finding the buried treasure, dragging Miranda along. The journey the two take around California's developing hillside easily turns into a desire to grow closer together and get to know each other again. The script touches on learning to trust, learning to accept family, and learning to hope. Above all, it emphasizes to whole-heartedly believe in what you believe in. Chase your dreams to the end is the motto Charlie seems to live by, illustrated by his constant effort to continue a seemingly dead-end search. Even when the X-marked spot is six feet under a cement and re bar Costco floor, Charlie sees no reason to quit. The film is fantastic. It is funny, warm, smart, and silly. More than you'll swim in emotion, you'll giggle softly, rethink lines, and re-evaluate whether or not you too believe Charlie, or believe your own dreams. See this film for the phenomenal first-time film maker's success. It's a winner.

Thats probably a good idea
Unless they bring back Paris Hilton... We can all sniff her new perfume.
Can anyone find anything good to say about this stock?
Now if we could get a bit more volume.
