Motorola and Gateway seem to be having similar issues:
2. Motorola Addresses Camera Phone Supply Constraints
It looks like customer grumblings that Motorola Inc. would not be able
to meet camera phone demand this holiday season are becoming a
reality. Today, Motorola reported that camera phone market deliveries
were being slowed by supply issues surrounding integrated-camera
components.

Cassy: if you say so-Gilga and I would like to know, then, when you predict, again, that e.Digital (EDIG is not a company will "eventually cease operations...." Date, again, please.
OK, Cassy when do you believe, if ever, e.Digital will file BK (any type)?
Is that OK with you Gilgamash?
I promise IF she ever answers to post for your benefit LOL
I understand "their" agenda, but I will continue to post the truth and facts. If I post something that cannot be verified (although I may make a mistake now and then) I will try (as I did with the last post) to note that it may or may not be true depending on the veracity of the original poster (as may be appropriate).
We'll all know more tomorrow afternoon and I am GUESSING and PRESUMING big smiles for all those who support the company and its shareholders
Does this establish the FACT that Gateway's device is released with e.Digital "inside" (presuming that this is a true posting and not the fabric of someone's imagination

Can you tell me if Oritron is branding the O-1000 player under the 9/16/03 release?
TIA,
XXXXXXXX
Thank you for your e-mail, Steve. Gateway's product is the first branded
device to come to market under the royalty-bearing license agreement we
announced on September 16, 2003.
While Orient Power is not the OEM in the September 16th release, we are
working with them on other business opportunities.
Best regards,
Robert Putnam
Senior Vice President
Hello Larry. You are so right, it would have been better practice to, at least, have an initial bunch on hand and the time of the announcement. Only time will tell if the problem was with Gateway or its supplier [and we all KNOW that e.Digital was not the "supplier" ]
Why do posters continue to use loaded terms like "ruse." IMHO these folks simply want to fight, right?
I ordered a unit from Gateway store - Woodland Hills, CA - today.
They will call me when it arrives.
Fred-Gateway sells cameras etc with its own branding(they look like a mixture of Canon etc) - they have a 5mp camera, for example, that is under $300 with rebates. They also sell brand names right along side of their own branded items.
I believe (opinion, not a fact!) that Gateway does know what it's doing and we will soon see
Braxton told me that he NEVER gave and "expected" delivery date and never guessed when units would be in the stores. He said the delivery and stock information was not available to him. He admitted he was an order taker - nothing more and nothing less-he offered to "sell" me a unit to be delivered when avaiable (I would be notified) or one of the "older" units that were in stock and ready for delivery.
Honesty is and remains the best policy!
Digital Rights Management: The Wait Is Over
Are you eager to jump into mobile content, but waiting for more-adequate content protection? Your wait is over. Industry standards for protecting valuable content have arrived, and Nokia supports them. Early implementers are enjoying considerable success. And the competition is heating up.
These messages were delivered to attendees of Forum Nokia's Digital Rights Management (DRM) Workshop in London on November 4. The attendees learned about a thriving, multibillion-dollar global market for ring tones that is spurring new markets for music. They also heard about tools and standards that can help them enter this market today.
Nokia supports the Open Mobile Alliance's (OMA) industry-standard DRM 1.0 technologies in both the Nokia Publishing Toolkit 2.1.4 and Developer Platform 2.0 for Series 40 and for Series 60. The OMA standard lets content owners encrypt music, news, screen savers, digital wallpaper, video clips, and other content. They can then offer this content with incremental levels of copy protection and usage rights. Nokia plans to integrate DRM capabilities into its flagship mobile devices and device SDKs in the near future.
While the markets for movie trailers, music videos, and other sophisticated forms of mobile content are still in their formative stages, that should change soon. Next year Nokia expects to ship some 100 million terminals equipped with color displays, JavaTM technology, and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). Many of these devices will be based on the Series 40 UI and the Series 60 Platform. Already, nearly 170 operators worldwide have launched MMS services, and more than 20 operators also support video and streaming media.
View the six Nokia slide presentations from the DRM Workshop
"Mistaken" in that you did not, at first, post that it was a rumor. Otherwise, I believe that your post of the "rumor" will be confirmed as FACT once we get our hands on one of the units.
It was a "fact" - however, it turned out that the poster, who later apologized, was mistaken, as was I for relying on a mistake. Unlike others here, I (and those with more than situational ethics) admit mistakes and NEVER falsely post for the purpose of misleading people or attempting to put the company or its shareholders in bad light. I hold no malice for any purchases (or sales for that matter) I (that's right I) made. IMO others are overcome by anger for decisions that made in the past.

SAN DIEGO, CA - January 8, 2003) - e.Digital Corporation (OTC: EDIG) today announced a next generation, multi-codec, high definition, customizable video solution for OEM- branded home entertainment products. The solution incorporates Equator Technologies’ BSP-15 video centric system-on-a-chip video processor with e.Digital’s technology, design, and user interface. Products incorporating the e.Digital video solution will feature the ability to play DivX, MPEG-4 video, Microsoft’s Windows Media Video, and/or traditional DVD formats, and will play motion pictures from a DVD or built-in hard drive

Equator Technologies' BSP series System-on-a-chip processors support playback of Windows Media 9 Audio and Video. The BSP-15, as demonstrated on Equator's Tetra (TM) hardware platform at IBC2002, supports high-definition 720p playback. Equator provides chips to many leading set-top box manufacturers, including Pace Micro Technology, a world leader in digital television technology, for its IP400 and IP500 family of home gateways.

You have your windows Media Center-STB’s, and many stand alone DVD players – A few now also do MP3. And a slew of dish-boxes existing and coming down the pipeline. Wonder who’ll do you a box or a handheld PVP capable of all popular formats. The MicroOS BSP-15 could – and just maybe via a HP or a Samsung. See! ‘’e.Digital announced a next generation, multi-codec, high definition, customizable video solution for OEM- branded home entertainment products.’’
- And now we see Divx touting Hollywood plugging our IFE mentioning, APS and 20thCentury Fox and most importantly saying:
‘October 3, 2003 - ‘’That popularity has helped attract consumer-electronics makers, who have less to lose from piracy than content owners. DivX CEO Greenhall said the company has been working for the past two years with leading DVD chipset makers, signing up 15 partners so far that either are now, or soon will be, shipping products.
Those deals are set to pay off with a flurry of new DVD players that support the DivX format, said Envisioneering's Doherty, who said generic Chinese contract manufacturers are slated to begin production on behalf of some well-known brand names, such as Apex.
That's put DivX well ahead of its main rival, Microsoft, which has announced development deals with several DVD chipset makers but has no products that support its video technology on store shelves. The first such device is expected from Samsung in the first quarter of 2004, said Jason Reindorp, group manager for Microsoft's Windows Digital Media division.’’

See IMO – MS/Samsung will have the MS Media 9 capable box out via Samsung in 1st Q 04. These should work nicely with MS’s IPTV for content distribution around mid 2004 and be one step ahead of the current generation of Media Centers such as those now selling via HP / Samsung which in essence are TiVo esque in functionality but lacking super wireless and broadband capabilities and Divx, Mp3, MPEG4 content compatibility allowing portables to intertwine the mobile experience for personal-area-network use – And we still have Media2go, Cometta and Echo retail coming: even IPTV network coming into living rooms - not unlike hotspots but carrying secure premium content to those willing to pay. Disney’s MovieBeam is nice but sorta simplex VOD. IPTV will be capable of two-way data transfer opening up numerous opportunities. Come to think of it iBuquity is IMO capable of this two way push-pull function also – but that’s another story our Fugitsu Ten Eclipse project is probably working on – See HD 1213 below.
October 13, 2003 - "The Microsoft TV team announced plans for the development of a new Internet Protocol television (IPTV) delivery solution designed to enable cable and telecommunications operators to more easily and efficiently offer improved and next-generation TV services over existing broadband networks. This initiative will bring together state-of-the-art technologies from Microsoft and other industry leaders in an integrated, end-to-end solution that will support the full range of pay-TV services while scaling to millions of TV subscribers. Microsoft TV announced it is working with Bell Canada and Reliance Infocomm of India to create and test new services for consumers using the IPTV solution." "Microsoft TV will introduce a new low-cost platform to deliver video over DSL. This solution offers Telco’s a chance to create a differentiated media experience that cannot be matched by satellite or cable today. Using point to point IP we support an unlimited number of channels, instant channel changing and a faster program guide."
http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2003/oct03/10-13ITUKeynotePR.asp
Also IMO e.Digital need not rely on these networked structures to succeed if they can just do a Set-top or a handheld-combo for someone that will do Divx, WMA, mp3, mpeg4 etc., It would be a winner to the millions of Divx users. Or conjunct a handheld to transfer from home to auto. Better yet overlap IPTV into Media2go via Cometta hotspots and you’ll most likely get true real-time content mobility distribution – See; http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2003/jan03/01-09M2GLaunchPR.asp. This is down the road, for now lets concentrate on what e.Digital is doing with Equator who is Microsoft centric per their Media Centers apps.

‘’As the project progressed, Eclipse by Fujitsu Ten requested additional functionality to accommodate a greatly expanded range of product models.’’
And from our last CC: e.Digital alerted shareholders that they are also working with an additional unnamed Stereo Manufacturer on an ongoing project. From last CC:
Q- Has Fijutsu 10 expressed interest in our IFE device for automotive application.?
A-While Eclipse by Fijutsu 10 has expressed interest in this platform we are also looking at other companies that are looking for audio/video solutions for the home and automotive environment. In fact we are also working with another well known name in the automotive infotainment industry on this type of particular device.
So…. If you’re looking for more information I suggest you listen to e.Digital’s last Conference Call or go here http://www.edig.com/news/pressreleases.html and buy into a class of new MicroOS devices – Because In-My-Very-Humble-Opinion, This little company is cutting new ground with very innovative digital products across several emerging markets.

Cassie and other doomsayers, read this:
I cannot understand the ''gloom'' oozing from your posts today. Here we are on the cusp of EDIG finally delivering on its ''Business Plan'' in the form of products being sold in the markets, and you are worried about couple of cents movement of the pps...
Here is what FALK says about what EDIG IS DOING NOW...
“e.Digital is facilitating the convergence of digital entertainment and technology and our web site should reflect those advances,” added Fred Falk, e.Digital’s chief executive officer. “The new site emphasizes e.Digital’s recent achievements and underscores the flexibility of our MicroOS technology.”
It is no longer, ''May be; we hope so; or possibly'' Edig can or will deliver on its promise of being a ''Force'' in the convergence of digital entertainment and technology. EDIG ''IS FACILITATING THE CONVERGENCE OF DIGITAL ENTERTAINEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY.''...
Here are some facts for you to consider...
1) Edig is into its 4th quarter of increasing revenues...
2) Edig has products being sold in the market place that
will decidedly increase the trend in revenue growth for the foreseable future.
3) Edig's technology is becoming more ubiquitous as we speak, which leads to the logical conclusion that the growth in revenue should mushroom beyond the 100-300% increase we have seen in the past 3 quarters.
Sure, a PR here, and a Hype there would cause the pps to go up now.. But, wouldn't you rather it did after an announcement of a $5 million revenue for a quarter?...
Come on folks; it is Christmass. Let's be more cheerful avbout what is taking place here. As Sargent Friday would say, ''Just the facts mam''...Lol...
Good luck to all...
Regards...Gilgamash...
Cassie: isn't that simply another of your assumptions without any factual support?
Cassie: try doing your own DD and call - let us know what you learn

Both- he categorically denied your assertive posts and otherwise refused to confirm/deny the balance. Is that so hard to understand? It should not be, especially, since, IMO you simply made up the post anyway.
"forthrightness", sorry for the typo ;-(
IMO you lack forightness and truthfulness.
He said that he did not ever and would not ever confirm/deny availability - that was NOT his function. He takes orders. He did confirm that orders (many) were being taken and the orders were and would be filled as product was available. Today, tomorrow or whenever. He did NOT say that there was a delay nor did he deny it. He would not. He simply did not say anything about availability other than orders would be filled as soon as product was available to fill them (ie., the next day or ?? whenever they had product to ship) and he knew NOTHING about availability at individual stores (something he admitted he had no information about - any why would an online order taker have knowledge of stock at any of the stores?). You posted his name, IMO, just to give your false post an aire of credibility (and as it turns out, IMO, undue and false credibility) and I believe that it is important for everyone to know that you, IMHO, have no credibility and simply makeup facts to fit your predetermined scheme.
We know who and what you are and we will continue to expose your blatant and obvious, IMHO, flim flam as often as time permits.
NO-that is not what I said or meant. He merely refused to confirm what Cassy allegedly posted - He did not know the details of Gateway's shipping of the units (and why would he). He did confirm that they were taking orders and that if I placed an order, I would be contacted with shipping information as soon as that was available. Rather pro forma type response IMHO.
Braxton categorically denied telling anyone when, where or how many of these items would be released. He denied that he even knew that information. That information is "proprietary" and obviously so. He told me that Gateway was using its "best efforts" to bring these and all of their items to its customers as soon as possible. Of course, this makes sense - why would Gateway use you as its spokeperson? Are you being paid by them, too?
Competitors (sorry for the typo
I just called Braxton and HE SAID NO SUCH THING!
IMHO, Cassy, you should be ashamed of yourself!
By Cassie: "I think the stock will continue its downtrend back to historic .06 low and even lower." Not so and, in fact, 1000s% wrong IMHO.
Cassy- IMHO the EDIG 6 mos chart is more informative than your posts about the future of this company and its stock:
