Hi Rose; Thank you for the link. Does anyone know if the SDs(Standard deviations) were provided any where in addition to the Median values?
Hi Rose, Thank you!
Hi VuBru; OK. Thank you! I only saw the 2 slides with rate changes.
Hi VuBru; Are you "sure"? I read it as calcified plaques
had an 89% reduction in RATE of progression!
Hi Mateo; Amen to that! ;.) Especially for those of us who sat through the whole FDA meeting! ;.) Best Wishes!
Hi LB, I'm a "progressive" so no it's not the same! ;.)
Hi LB, No, "slows progression" is what has been shown so far. See post 228210! "Halts progression" or "Reverses progession" are what we are hoping for! Best Wishes!
Hi Mateo; Correct, see my post 228210!
Hi oneragman; Thank you! I'm behind in reading posts but as you can see in post 228210 I agree with you!! Best Wishes.
Hi Kev, Correct, but Dr. Budoff confused things! Please read my post 228210. Best wishes!
Hi JL Yes, I think your post 228055, like Rafs misunderstood study results because of Dr. Budoffs bad verbiage as shown in transcript. Please see my post 228210. best Wishes.
Hi Raf; Not necessarily! First problem is Dr. Budoffs explanation is confusing because he seems to conflate plaque amount with plaque progression RATE! The results of the study so far show NO plaque reduction
only a reduction in the RATE of plaque progression(increase)! It will be very interesting to see 18 month date to see if the RATE continues to decrease or whether it actually goes negative(plaque removal). Given the apparent wide variance maybe there is a sub population that will have an actual regression of the AMOUNT of plaque not just the rate.
Hi Raf; I guess you are! ;.) I believe those values indicate a lower plaque creation rate not a plaque removal rate!
Hi jfmcrr; Yes, I'm getting it for ~$209 from CVS with coupon!
Hi Kiwi; Thank you, I remember last time you posted that info, as I used it to lobby for my wife's prescription. Neither of us are considered CAD patients and don't expect to meet new criteria. But I'm on it and wife will be also(this month)!
Hi sharinky; Yes, that is what I do because it's not yet in Kaiser formulary!
Hi sts66 I guess I'll find out, I changed from FIFO to LIFO this year; you should be able to change since you can always(?) designate the lot for the transaction.
Hi Raf, Thank you! That's "funny", because during the times I talked to my Dr. to get her to prescribe VASCEPA for me I suggested that the trig standard would likely be coming down in the future(as LDL-C did) and I
even suggested 100 as a possible new goal. Now I have some evidence to show her! Thank you and Dr. Nordestgaard!
Hi sharinsky; Correction, Kaiser may not yet be pharmacist because I'm not sure if/when they add VASCEPA back to their formulary!
Hi sharinsky. Kaiser is both the plan and the pharmacist! I have them and talked my Dr. into getting prescription, but I pay full price!
Hi CaptBeer Thank you and Best Wishes!
Hi STS; Yes, see you at the next party! Best Wishes!
Hi studythosestocks; Thank you for the great recap! Sorry we did not plan
ahead to meet at the back of the room at lunch break, for all us ihubbers! ;.)
A BIG thank you to everyone I met at ADCOM who helped make it a wonderful time despite the rollercoaster ride! Best Wishes to all!! ;.)
Hi stoneroad; YES, they will be greatly out numbered!! ;.)
