Hey Sylvester,
What exactly is your problem? You'd never be able to say the things you are saying if you lived in Iraq, and now that they are soon to become a free country, you might consider moving to Iran.
The links you post are greater acts of propaganda than what you are accusing Bush for, open your eyes. Compare General Frank's press conference this morning to last nights release of the Iraqi Information Minister statement. Who was more truthful, who answered questions?
Try putting your pacifist energy into something constructive, like psychological counseling for the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people that watched their families be tortured by Saddam's lynch men.
The coalition has fought the most "civil" war ever fought in the history of humankind. If war has to be waged, this will be the standard all civilized countries will strive to meet.

Here is what we had up for today:
"Once again only one turn around stock screened out, and it looks like an unlikely trade today; BG. And only three breakout stocks to watch; BDX, MMM and MYL. There are a couple we've been watching in the room that look like potential trades here; OVTI looks like a possible breakout today and MVL closed at support on Thursday."
MYL was the only thing that wasn't a buy. Course I bought a position in OVTI then stopped out for a loss. I did sell my positions in NCEN that I've held for weeks with a 31 target.
Sam
There are a couple we've been watching in the room that look like potential trades here; OVTI looks like a possible breakout tomorrow and MVL closed at support on today.
Sam
A good day, additional we had SU alert the turn and GTK alert a breakout...there was lots to trade today. Our position in BAX was weak today. We watched CECO and COCO run off...
Sam
We pretty much sat and let the positions we're in just brew. But, BLUD, LF and MAC alerted breakouts. I'll be keeping track of BLUD JCOM and LF off today's breakout list, tomorrow, as well as the new stocks that screened out.
Now that the war has started it will be interesting to see how the market reacts tomorrow.
Our estimate of market risk remains low.
Sam
Not one turn around stock screened out for tomorrow, this could indicate that we are short term over bought. And when compared to the number of potential breakouts, which are at resistance, it might also support that view. I've not kept records of the balance of those screens (outside of our archives), so we'll just have to keep an off the cuff observation.
Our estimate of market risk remains low.
Sam
A surprisingly slow day here, since no real big movers off the list, BAX was the only turn around to alert (I bought a position). ECL, ESRX, LF and UNH were breakout alerts. GRMN from a couple days ago did well...and CEDC is one we do more watching than buying, too bad today. I also picked up a position in INVN, undervalued breakout, we'll see.
Sam
The SSRatio did, as we would expect, go positive, gaining 0.44 to +0.42 favoring buying, the estimate of market risk drops to low. I'm not going to argue with what the numbers have proven time and again to be dependable. If it turns down we'll deal with that reality at the time.

Normally I try to contain my commentary to economics, but as a country, we have been held economic hostages of our fears. As we now are on the brink of war we are on the edge of freeing our fears as well as the oppression of the Iraqi people.
I have no doubt that the Iraqis have biological and chemical weapons, and that they have an interest is spreading terrorism, and that the present Iraq government is no better than an organized crime family holding the public in terror. But the big question was, do we have the right to remove the government of another country?
I repeat, the question was. The time for that discussion is now past. So, being my optimistic self; I see our troops very soon liberating an oppressed people, and the world will be appalled at what we uncover. We will be proud that we played a leadership role in removing a tyrant. Being a leader is being first to enter, often where others fear to tread. Everyone has those fears, we can imagine all these things going wrong, but as a people, and a country, we are leaders. I know we and those that stand with us will all be proud when a free Iraq looks for those to thank for putting an end to their hell, and the shame will fall on the rest.
Lastly, on a completely different subject, but one that still disturbs me deeply. Today would be Jay Lyon's 51st birthday. Please take some time and reflect on your life and your goals, and how they are valued within the context of living free with your family. The song plays only once for all of us, we need to stretch the dance until the piano man's fingers grow cold.
If anyone ever finds themselves backed against a wall, reach out, there is hope and help. If you think you have no one to turn to, I'm here, if I can't help, I know folks that can. With a stock market problem there are techniques that can mitigate the damage, but it is important to realize that life is more than stocks.
Sam
Friday had alerts in the turn around stocks; AAII, JBLU, RSLN and STLD. The breakouts that alerted included; ACL, APPB, CNCT, GTK, PSUN, SYK and ZMH.
After Sunday's meeting in the Azores of President Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar, we should expect the UN Arms Inspectors to be asked to leave Iraq later today. Followed sometime this week by an elevation of the threat level and a speech by President Bush confirming that the operation to dislodge Saddam Hussein is underway. I would expect the market to be volatile, pick your targets carefully.
Sam
Our entire watchlist for today, sort'a speaks for itself:
"The turn around stocks look better for today; ADVP, ANF, AXL, CKFR, CVH, ESI, FDO, GTRC, LNCR, LPNT, NLS, THC and WGO. Remember, alert these for consideration only after they move more than 10 cents beyond the previous day high."
Sam
Regardless of the rally today, the market internals continue to decay. Two out of the three shorts we watched today did well, particularly PCO. We didn't alert one long position today.
The volatility index (VIX) did spike above 40, this could indicate a bounce....however...
Our estimate of market risk remain high. Remain cautious.
Sam
Nothing alerted today but the EFII short. There is more on our short list for tomorrow, but as bad as thing look day after day, it makes sense to be expecting a bounce on short covering. A spike above 40 on the volatility index (VIX) should make those with short positions pull some off the table.
Our estimate of market risk remain high. Remain cautious.
Sam
XTO was the only alert today. Nothing I've seen makes it look like things will improve tomorrow.
Sam
Alerts today included JBLU, LF, MOVI and RGIS of the turn around stocks, only XTO alerted of the two breakout potentials that we watched.
Have a safe weekend everyone.
Sam
This morning we had two stocks that looked good, MME as a breakout and CBK as a turn around, both giving plenty of time to buy. Also alerting today was FDS.
We remain cautious for Friday.
Sam
The only alert we had today was the breakout of STJ. There are a lot of stocks to watch tomorrow, but the loss of momentum has put us back into "lite" mode so be cautious.
Sam
Tuesday only had three turn around stocks to watch, only APPX alerted. And there was only one breakout that alerted, EQT. On the short side of the market, CMLS and GYI alerted.
The SSRatio continued down Tuesday, this time it does indicate a top may have been made and it may go negative.
Sam
The SSRatio changed direction for the first time in 10 days, however, the estimate of market risk remains low. This loss was not enough to indicate a top, but the direction change is a clear warning.
Sam
The breakouts BLL and GTK were the only alerts today. It was real quiet.
Sam
Market internals continue to improve, regardless of the global situation that adds event risk to anything longer than a day trade.
Sam
Breakouts made the day today. This is what we had up, not all alerted (by breaking yesterday's high by about 20 cents)but there was some easy ones: COO, EXPD, EXPE, GTK, HAR, MYL, YHOO and ZBRA.
Have a nice weekend.
Sam
The SSRatio remains positive. I'd expect more caution on Friday, but so far the SSRatio has been more reliable than my concerns about event risk.
Today we had 3 out of 4 turn around stocks alert; CBK, DLTR and FAF. All were easy buys.
Sam
The SSRatio rose despite the drop in the overall market today, climbing 0.06 to +0.19 favoring buying, the estimate of market risk remains low.
It is hard to explain, but the market internals seemed to have turned around, at least for the present. At this point I'm still cautious, though I planned on buying a bit of our only short term stock CHTT today (but didn't), I would keep new positions "lite".
Sam
Turn around stocks alerting today included; AHS, LPNT, TJX and WSM. The only short term trade we have going had a good day today CHTT. No breakout stocks alerted
Sam
The balance of up trending stocks, moving up on above average volume, compared to down trending stocks, moving down on above average volume, was higher by the close on Tuesday. Thus, the SSRatio rose to positive, up 0.10 to +0.13 favoring buying, the estimate of market risk drops to low. But......consider.....
Frankly, I was surprised, it is a technical number that doesn't include event risk. On the other hand, it does represent an improvement in the markets internals that has proven itself to change when the market's momentum reverses. Due to the chance that this is a whipsaw, I suggest waiting a day or two before increasing exposure to the long side of the stock market.
Sam
Today we had alerts in CHTT, SCRI, ECA and EOG; It was still a day to be cautious, even with these.
Sam
I posted an symbol error yesterday, ROC should be ROK. Otherwise we have had a lot alert long, CHTT, MGAM, SCRI, ECA, EOG and looked at NTES and NSCN in the room. Best to stay with the strength...or find shorts.
Sam
Our market risk estimate is close to going positive, it has been negative for the 25 days.
Sam
Not one alert today, I'd keep an eye on CVD and the only turn around stock that screened out for tomorrow, POSS.
Sam
Only three alerts today, AGP, AHS and DVA. AGP did an up down and ended down 7 cents. The up trend (reversal) that was signaled today may still be intact.
Sam
The chart of the SSRatio has formed another bottom, but I just don't see enough reason to get too excited, the market landscape hasn't changed much, and the SSRatio is still negative. There has been plenty of plays on the long side without wading in too deep, so I'd remain in that posture.
The shopping was easy today, the list of stocks alerting by breaking Friday's high (+11 cents), included; ANF, BPRX, CRL, ENZN, FTI, PIR, SCRI, TOO and WSM. Both breakouts alerted too; RSLN and STJ.
Sam
Of the turn around stocks mentioned having alerted last week, all are still in play FAF, SU, SCSC, HEW, RCII and SRE. The only that stopped was FHCC.
The risk remains high for Tuesday.
Sam
RCII and SRE were the only two alerts of turn around stocks. I bought SRE since I had been looking for an energy position. LSS was our only short.
Sam
SCSC and HEW were the only alerts long today, I'm looking for a bounce, but remain cautious.
Sam
One other comment on the day. Look at the stocks that alerted today, pay attention to how much the market influenced the move in each of them. Pay attention to market risk!
As I suspected, today was full of alerts, many of those alerted at the open or shortly there after so, as per usual, I watched and alerted those that alerted and appeared more than just a pop. These were AGP, BBY, BMET, HNT, JBLU, LIZ, SAH, SCSC, TTWO, TUES and WEBX. We'll see at the end of the week if any of these were worth the risk, even in lite mode. For myself and those in the room today, none of us traded one of them.
Sam
Three alerts of turnaround stocks today, FAF, FHCC and SU. I'm still cautious about the market.
Sam
Since the SSRatio turned negative January 17 we've seen a 9.5% drop in the DOW, 8.7% drop in the NYSE and 8.5% drop in the NASDAQ. We remain in "lite mode" and the prospects don't look like we'll see a change anytime soon.
Sam
CVH, our alert from yesterday did well today, the two shorts LRCX and LSS were only down a bit, should be more there.
Everyone have a safe weekend.
Sam
