And with two approvals for Mabs, that produce zero super responders, plus the risk of brain bleeds and death, you make this dire prediction?
Please share your logic for this confusing statement.
That is a lot of super responders, george. That would be great if it came to pass.
One thing that is also great is, there are ANY SUPER RESPONDERS.
What would ONE SUPER RESPONDER BE WORTH TO THE MAB MACHINES? Yes, just one from the whole combined lot of them.
Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?
And they want how much for their...let' see, what to call it?
A therapy? No.
Certainly not a cure.
A treatment? Yes, it's a treatment, or a mistreatment, better yet.
And how much are they asking, for this, mistreatment?
Ooooohhh. Ouch!
And from the Naysayer Choir, Dr. Missling's big crime is, we have to wait a little longer?
I'd say, Blarcamesine is worth waiting for. But if you're really in a rush for something, you've got 30 or 40k you don't need and you don't mind risking a brain bleed or worse, there's a mab out there that will tide you over.
Good post. Anavex is not blowing smoke.
I enjoy yours as well, thanks.
Tred,
Nice post.
Hi 273forme,
Any particular likes or dislikes you could share with us about what Anavex is doing?
OK Plex, let us know how the mab’s work out..
You should try them Plex. Let us know from first hand experience.
Good one Leo
Do you believe Aduhelm, lecanemab and donemab have proven they work?
I value opinions based on bedrock...;)
No question but it won't really change anything.
Technique can always be improved and should be.
English isn't Dr. M's first language but he's better served by getting trials and data right than taking speech lessons.
Yes, the Market is the Casino operator but Anavex isn't cheating.
Anavex will win the game.
There is plenty of evidence for anyone with an open mind.
For those with an agenda, who hold the upper hand, ie; The Market, why should they relinquish their advantage if they don't have to?
Answer: They won't.
They will force Anavex to take the prize with an approval or by joining the Club, a partnership.
That's where we are. The evidence is plentiful, that's not the issue.
If the jury is rigged, no proof will ever be recognized.
In a fair fight? All day long.
Audacity. There's some of that going on.
For "The Market" (TMkt) to conduct manipulative processes to further its financial advantages and exploit situations to maximize profit is audacious.
For Anavex to want to bring a CNS Platform, which will obviate the need for a considerable amount of content in the well organized unmanageable beast, TMkt, is also somewhat audacious.
For the time being TMkt will pretend Anavex does not exist, hence statements like, "never before seen results," when referring to donanemab.
Anavex will likewise, continue to produce results that have never actually been seen before.
So, where does that leave us?
Anavex is fighting the good fight, trailblazing forays into new territory in understanding human systems.
The Market is doing what it has been able to do to defend its turf. Cheat. Oh well, it is their turf.
The current "play" is maximizing the profit from any advantage they can muster in beating Anavex to, guess where, The Market.
Dr. M is well aware of how things work. He walks into the lion's den, Alzheimer's Association, and feels lucky when they don't break the sound system while he's speaking.
It's a rigged game and the playing field is no where near level. So, we have to wait a little while longer while the numerous pirouetting quacking ducks are lined up.
Two ridiculously unmanageable systems, one seen every day, the other never before seen, colliding in real time.
Quite a show.
XBI going up. It hasn’t been as indicative with avxl off late but…
Maybe riding Lily coat tails.
Mike, I have to admit, I don’t think much of your commentary but at least it doesn’t take half a day to read one of your posts.
Everybody’s entitled to their opinion here. You, georgejjl, even me.
Maybe you’d like gdc? Opened at 4, bid now 33.
Thanks Mayo,
Impressive and enjoyable insights into our investment.
Would make a great training video for Sales folks.
It also doesn't hurt that Blarcamesine has shown benefit in sinus rhythm.
When will Artificial Intelligence predictions become more reliable than long term controlled trials?
Also, figure in the latest Alzheimer's approvals into sample size.
The new patent is amazing and makes sense when you take all the evidence of efficacy into account. Listening to older Macfarlane interviews, Steve would talk about the importance of improving mood in patients as being more valuable than a point or two on some scale. If you think about being in a better mood, it's likely your blood pressure will go down, right?
So, it makes sense and I believe it will prove out, in time.
The FUD argument, of it will never happen, is FUD, I also believe. It will happen and likely we'll see some massive improvement in pps before summer is over.
That could be a reason to invest in Anavex. But, better do it soon because summer is right around the corner.
Good vid there, K123.
Avxl. Short shares avail. 1mm+
XBI SS avail 138,024, goes up and down a lot. 506,271 avail last wed.
Lily is claiming Medicare will begin covering costs for mabs when their Donanemab results are shown. I doubt this.
For all the reasons the other’s, Lec, Adu, et.al. got shot down. The fat lady has sung enough arias and they show no clinical benefit.
Of course this would never be seen as a catalyst for Anavex. How many people are living better lives now because of participating in Blarcamesine trials? Hundreds?
How many people are living better lives because of amyloid clearing? -0-
Dr. Jin was at the FDA for enough time to see, their structure could allow employees to become entrenched and begin to erode untainted processes. Also more than long enough to see the futility of mabs to help the #1 CNS destroyer. He had a front row seat.
Somehow, he became aware of Anavex, possibly a professional interest prompted his decision to accept and offer to come on board. It's very unlikely he suspects any sort of funny business is going on, at any level, at Anavex.
The long wait between PDD P-2 and possibly P-3, just makes sense. Waiting for the PD to be funded, gathering data and focusing upstream was the obvious choice. It's accepted, getting working neurons to recover is easier than non working, which is when the PD patients suffer from dementia.
High dose does better according to trial.

Macfarland had about 14 hours on the trip back to Australia in December to think of a way to move things forward. This is his drug, his time, his opportunity.
It's the ultimate terror program, brought to us by our friendly shareholders.
And they wonder why he doesn't want to meet with them..
Breath as deep as you can, the soonest there will be relief for CNS patients is when Blarcamesine gets approved.
More likely, they are calling Him. Your money is no good if you have Alzheimer’s and can’t benefit from spending it.
I wonder if one of the precision medicine Bio’s Lauder’s will pour the 200m into is Anavex?
What are the odds?
This is true;
"Anavex Life Sciences has announced findings from the 48-week, open-label extension of its phase 2 study, ANAVEX2-73-PDD-EP-001 (NCT04575259), demonstrating that its investigational agent ANAVEX2-73, or blarcamesine, met its primary and secondary objectives in a cohort of individuals with Parkinson disease dementia (PDD).1
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the start of the extension phase was delayed, on average, by approximately 41 weeks at the end of the double-blind period, resulting in reduced enrollment rate and a “drug holiday.” At the end of the double-blind period and OLE, all efficacy end points, which included Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) Parts II and III and Clinical Global Impression-Improvement (CGI-I) were consistently improved when patients resumed treatment."

There are a lot of CEO’s out there who won’t shut up. If you look I’m sure you can find one that meets your transparency requirements.
There are none that have a safe, efficacious drug for multiple CNS diseases, so, take your pick and be happy.
The average weight of passengers for W&B used to be 170#. I’d say closer to 200# today. So, 1 passenger and your there.
Looking to downsize with a BMW 700 low. It’s faster, lighter and handles better than the sporty. Going off road, very mildly, is also a plus. I’ve spent time being run over in dirt bike races and don’t need to go there either.
A friend ended up paralyzed from the neck down after a scramble, not good at all.
They remain and will never divulge the reason because it would violate the prime directive, never break character.
You never know if your talking to the MM, ya know?
I was looking at the times and spread and that sounds about right.
Will you say how many you own?
I was over 11k and have less now, so not in your income bracket.
You are braver than I.
It’s going to get really crazy with all the VTOL traffic coming to metro areas, mixing it up at the wrong altitudes with the overcrowded patterns. And they are looking to automate (no pilots ) a lot of them in the future. I think it will be a costly learning curve.
