Samsung deal announcement must be next. Samsung can't let Sony have something they don't have. Would have thought Samsung would have been first ....
Are you using the Seiki 50" TV with the NP-1?? I have the same experience. Netflix via NP-1 upscaled is fantastic picture.
Sorry. reposted air mouse helpful hints.
Air Mouse Calibration
The air mouse is shipped at 50% speed (sensitivity) which is a little clumsy. Before you post negative reviews, go to settings, find mouse/pointer at the bottom right and increase the sensitivity to 80-90% to improve performance. Experiment to what you like. I prefer the up/down and left/right arrows for navigating.
The other thing is you can plug in a USB splitter and use a USB mouse and keyboard which works great. Web surfing a breeze. The only thing really to complain about is the Company should have a FAQ on the web and expanded user guide on-line so people who are not Android fanatics can get oriented.
Remember to power down your NP-1 and then restart. Google has a lot of updates already, particularly to Google play and Google Music. Mine spent about 5 minutes updating after it restarted yesterday. With a USB splitter you can plug in your mouse and keyboard and search the web, etc.
Thanks Niko
Go NTEK!!!!
I got my NP-1 and 50 inch Seiki yesterday. Everything works fine. 4K great over 10 megabit U-verse. Even Watched that Moonshine movie! Gimme more choices please. Everything free on Ultraflix for the first month. My NP-1 came with a Kit Kat candy bar in the box. Based on my order number probably shipped about 2,000 so far.
NTEK HUMOR
You can't get VD from an NTEK long,
Because nothing ever happens
They just sit on the edge of the bed and tell you how great it is going to be!
Long and Strong NTEK!
But maybe they need some help in shipping and receiving!
Hope this joke doesn't apply after tomorrow,
Would be nice to get NP-1 revenue in 2nd quarter.
That's like asking my Uncle's favorite joke. He was a General in the U.S. Army in WW II and the joke was "how many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris???? The answer, Nobody knows, they have never tried!!!!
No one has ever watched a movie on Ultraflix.
Out as of 6/2/2014 for Nexus phones:
T-Mobile’s support page reads “Beginning June 2, the Nexus 5 received a software update to Android 4.4.3/Build version KTU84M. This update provides features and improvements”. The announcement is very similar regarding the Nexus 7 (2013) as well. “Beginning June 2, the Nexus 7 received a software update to Android 4.4.3/Build version KTU84L. This update provides features and improvements”. The page also mentions that the update will be done automatically Over-The-Air (OTA) for both devices. Additionally, a short list of Android 4.4.3 KitKat update requirements is also available. This includes things such as 50% or higher battery life, data connection, and 54 MB available memory. A list of steps has also been provided to make it easier for you to update, just in case it’s not done automatically for some reason.

Last SHM details
The M8trix casino network was getting overloaded with the 4k demos going on and then the hundreds of phone calls to the conference call put their VOIP phone system on its knees. Apparently they have never prioritized VOIP on their network router/switch to have absolute priority before data. Probably the demos should have been halted before the meeting started. But I just thought of that myself, so whatever.
There were 30-40 real shareholders of significance. Those who related their position to me all stated they owned between 5-15 million shares. Many drove up from LA and some flew in from as far away as Fort Lauderdale. Wow. All obviously concerned.
In Private conversations after the meeting, we all expressed to management that we didn't need any more instant channeling of events and most of us had received emails we were getting our TVs in January. So the company did from the podium and later at the end promise no more PRs and emails like that. Ship first, then PR. Lincoln said Chickens were more reliable and smarter than people, because they only clucked after the egg was laid.
NTEK has passed the Sony "trust" test. Itiam (sp)probably a big part of passing that threshold. Android 4.4 is also required for Sony because previous Android versions are not "secure enough". NTEK doesn't get the library, it gets the right to sell and stream the library for a fee per movie. Just like Amazon and Netflix, which are also apps now on the Sony TV, for a fee.
By the way the Seiki 65 inch TV was equivalent quality to the Sony. You just can't do anything with it without a computer , like the NPH-1, or a streaming box like the NP-1.
As much as it might pain you. I have been doing licensing since DOS and NTEK has the three keys to success.
They are in the right place, at the right time, and they are still breathing.
Remember Mark Cuban, HD.NET, Man of La Mancha, NO PRISONERS!
More SHM details
So talking with Aaron Taylor, it is obvious why he left ROKU. He believes I think that Ultraflix is the equivalent of Mark Cuban's HD.NET when HD TVs first cameout. Cuban sold out for 1.5 billion. As I remember it, there were a lot of bikini clad gals but not much quality content on HD.NET.
When Ultraflix completes joining the Sony family, they automatically get the whole Sony library and can sell those movies on non-Sony platforms that carry Ultraflix, like the NP-1.
Ka ching!
Shareholders meeting highlights
60,000 units have been paid for by NTEK to Foxconn
over 10,000 are here, rest on the way
Best Buy, Target, Walmart I think also was mentioned, will get product, everybody that uses Ingram-Micro to ship it product will have it available. Best Buy did review and demo the unit and had comments about user interface, etc. Packaging and new controller are very nice. Anyone could hands on play with one of the six TVs demos at the meeting.
Demo of NP-1 streaming movie to 65 inch Samsung TV at 6, 8, and 10 megabits. The NP-1 adjusts to your speed as it goes up and down. At 4 megabits, it says it can't do 4k. If you are 2 feet away, the same clip of this cute Asian girl was played at each of the speeds. There is more very subtle fine detail at higher speeds but 4k is very watchable up close at 6 because the picture quality is like a photo.
The NP-1 interface is much improved and the demo units at the meeting were running 4.4 versions awaiting Google approval. Seemed very good intuitive controls. No confusion as to how to get where you want to.
Sony is adding Ultraflix to its apps on its TV. As soon as Sony gives final approval to the NTEK code, it will be pushed to all Sony 4k TVs. A demo Sony unit and 65 inch TV was there running the code with Ultraflix on it.
Shocker was detail on where the money is currently being made. NTEK Roku channels are now grossing about one million dollars a month!!! Just imagine if they had something you wanted to watch!!
No business was conducted because proxies were not distributed with the dividend letter, so a separate business meeting will be held, probably late June.
NP-1 launch is probably 30 days away, because of Google evaluation not done, etc.
Hmmm

Mad Catz® and OUYA® Announce Content Agreement to Bring OUYA to the M.O.J.O.™ Micro-Console™ for Android™
OUYA must be giving their stuff away to everyone for pennies.
Maybe you can't get 4k streaming at less than 10MB? Maybe that's why they all got shipped to Brazil for 1080p service.
Whatever, these delays have nothing to do with OUYA or these other publicly stated excuses.
It will be interesting to see what is really up with this delay. Why would NTEK delay introduction of 4k streaming device to include OUYA game capability. Forbes magazine, March 2014 article, says OUYA mobile app game console is dead, poor quality games, and they ran through their 8.5 million dollars from Kickstarter and are dead in the water.
Looks like insider order confirmations contrary to real order procedure. You are supposed to get an opportunity to update and confirm your order before card is charged.
My order is over 500 and the TV/combo was not an option. How did order 51 get confirmation of an order for a NP-1 and TV combo that wasn't an option at the time. Trying to sell your shares?
Order 51 hasn't been shipped yet? Not for 10 days? I guess Ingram Micro isn't doing the fulfillment - Not even 50 orders shipped yet. This really smells bad. NTEK fan but something stinks in Denmark.
Amazon announcement is Wednesday, 11am, in New York City. Better hope that NTEK silence and delay is related or this thing is going to zero. Unless NTEK is being muzzled by a much bigger company, no excuse for all this lack of official updates and apparent deliberate misinformation on this board.
Because something is up
Not a single NP-1 shipped???? Just a phony feed through a little black box at CES. What a fool believes!!!
Having a copy of a tape doesn't give you any rights to display or show it for profit. The rights to Sammy's personal life story are already in multiple litigation, the widow is suing her two former partners, Lee Daniels is planning a bio movie.
8/19/2013
"Will he have to call it “Lee Daniels’ Sammy Davis Jr”? Let’s hope not. But the word I’m hearing is that Lee Daniels is circling a project about Sammy Davis Jr. at HBO. Recently there’s been some talk about Tommy Davidson of “In Living Color” fame playing Davis, but nothing had come together. The Sammy story is rife with rights issues including who is the estate, who isn’t, which books are optioned, who owns what."
Just own a bunch of souvenirs bought from an insider!!!
Yes, I do. I have actually been in Shenzen at Foxconn multiple times over the last four years and high value products leave by air multiple times a day. You are right that the brooms for Walmart go by container. But a new product launch just before Christmas???? One explanation is that the product really isn't ready which I hope is not true!
No they bought a bunch of souvenirs and copies of things that give them no rights to anything. This is not an intellectual property deal. Don't get me wrong long and strong this company.
A better PR would explain who made the stupid decision to put the first shipment of NP-1s on a container ship instead of an airplane?? Without the NP-1 there is no way anyone can access and use the Nanoflix channels, etc., do you understand???? So stop the nonsense about the value of 4k videos that you can't access being of value.
Stupid PR today. You would think that they would have learned from the Ice Sculpture deal that silly insider deals belong buried in footnotes of financial statements. Buying a collection doesn't give you the right to display or stream anything. The audio, song, and video rights are all owned by others.
