They are still at it.
Thank You.
That's what I have:

Oh really, just an accountant? LOL - that is so wrong!!!
Ms. Davis comes to NW Bio from BDO USA LLP, where she was a Risk Advisory Senior Manager. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Sarbanes-Oxley Expert, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Project Management Professional. She obtained her Master of Science in Business with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Johns Hopkins University.
Exactly!
The CIO will definitely be more important in the transition from 300+ patients to 10,000+ per year to start.
All the systems you mention and many more. Every bit of software and hardware for storage, backup, communications, etc... needs to be decided upon, bid, contracted for whether in-house or outsourced. In addition to the Sarbanes is HIPPA, disaster recovery testing on a regular basis. Think about security from hackers or theft of knowledge. Plus there's plenty more to do.
Thanks. That's what I thought. Just checking in case I missed something.
One other thing I found to help me has been to create a new IRA account in each year that I have done this. I've transferred shares directly several times in several years st very low stock prices. With the 5-year rule it makes it easier to know when I'm able to withdraw tax-free. Currently I have 86% of NWBO in my Roths.
As for the taxes on conversion, I have usually withdrawn other funds from a regular IRA at the end of December, calculating the taxes I'll owe, but withholding 95% of that distribution. That way I don't pay quarterly estimates.
Q: If you had 100,000 shares of NWBO (50,000 short term; 50,000 long term) in an IRA and wanted to end up with 100,000 shares converted to a ROTH IRA, what would be the best way to accomplish this considering the tax consequences?
a. just transfer all shares
B. sell the long term 1st, then transfer $s and rebuy, and transfer the short term
c. something else
d. doesn't matter
I would think if you sold the long term you would have to pay capital gains and then pay more taxes on the transfer of cash in order to rebuy the shares in the ROTH. Right?
Glad you got out of Solitary!
Welcome back.
Totally agree. That's what's happening now.

DCVax-L Targets an Enormous Market Opportunity
There is an urgent medical need for improving the treatment of newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme (ndGBM), the most aggressive type of brain cancer. The prognosis is extremely poor as about 50% of patients who receive the current standard of care (SOC) die within 18 months of being diagnosed and only 5% survive for five years. The annual incidence of ndGBM in the US is about 15,000 patients per year. Based on comparing prices for other oncology drugs approved for the treatment of aggressive cancers, a drug providing a meaningful increase in survival in ndGBM could be priced in excess of $250,000 per course of treatment. For example, the CAR-T drugs Kymriah and Yescarta that treat certain refractory/ relapsed leukemias and lymphomas have a net price of about $325,000 per treatment. This suggests a US addressable market of around $3.8 billion for a product that would meaningfully improve ndGBM outcomes when added to SOC. The European addressable market would be roughly the same size or $3.8 billion and the remainder of the world about $1.8 billion. It is a giant commercial opportunity for DCVax-L if it is approved.
It's kinda like this:
Volume and % involving shorted shares the last 3 days was pretty high.
The unknown is why.

You are correct. But you know, Dad's OK now. Ain't that great?
I agree. I suppose that if I was in a situation where I had found out I had the virus, being 69, type 2 diabetic and likely nervous, I'm sure I would see my Dr. and get her opinion about it. If she explained and I understood, the 1st question I'd ask is "if you were me, would you take it?" That's likely what I'd do, because I trust her, she's very bright and she knows I always try to avoid meds whenever possible.

A bit more recent.
"Hydroxychloroquine
Overall usage: In Week 6, Hydroxychloroquine is still the most widely used drug following Azithromycin.
Globally 55% of physicians report using Hydroxychloroquine. Its use in various settings breaks down as follows: 37% of physicians prescribe it outside the hospital for mild cases, 59% for moderate cases when patients get into the hospital, and 50% in the ICU."
Dr Gupta is a CNN News commentator. I doubt he would continue to be highly paid by that network were he to suggest good things about Trump’s preferred medicine. Same thing goes for Dr. Murthy.
Funny, I don't remember much of the Pandemic of 1969 (Hong Kong Flu H3N2 w/100,000 U.S. deaths), but I surely do remember Woodstock, the Vietnam war, and these times when I was getting started at Kent State.
Thanks Learningcurve2020 for this.
A very interesting & good article: https://nypost.com/2020/05/16/why-life-went-on-as-normal-during-the-killer-pandemic-of-1969/
I don't know, because I haven't asked, but it would be hard to tell. Over the years he's had 2 knees replaced, a hip and had a knee and hip redone. All this in addition to having an alcohol problem most of his life.
The link: It was near the end during the questioning period of this meeting on CSPAN.

Was actually a good meeting to watch, if you have the time to replay. Unfiltered, which I prefer see without the commentary.
One of my best friends has Rheumatoid arthritis and also a connectivity tissue disease has been taking it for over 20 years. It helps him a lot, he says.
For preventative reasons, President Trump has been taking zinc and hyroxychloroquine for about 2 weeks, recommended by White House Dr. Says many frontline workers have been using also.
Market Cap: NW Bio's estimate of their addressable market from a past presentation(about 6 years old).
This takes into account the U.S. and Europe.
What's the market cap if successful?
A couple variables would include the costs of treatments, the % of new cases becoming patients.
Additionally, what other countries may affect these numbers?
Good News: Heat, Humidity and Sunlight affect Coronavirus
So when this all gets handled, how many days do the legal and naked shorts have to return and to buy the shares typically?
2 Questions:
Let's say that after topline and/or approval is announced the share price rises to $30+.
Merck makes an offer and buys NWBO and awards 1 share of MRK for every 2 NWBO shares held.
How are the shorted shares handled?
How are the naked shorted shares handled?
Thanks, and just to add to that, before retiring from IT a few years ago I was told by our security manager at a major manufacturing company that one of the best things that you can do to prevent that is to keep all your passwords to at least 13 mixed characters. It takes their hacking programs too long to break it and not worth the time, especially since so many people don't. The shorter the passwords take seconds to minutes. Those are the ones they go after once they've hacked and gotten into a database.
Great - thanks for the info!

Thank you for the quick reply.
What is "IDH mutation status" and the significance of analyzing it?
Illegal - NOT!
Bubble? What say you now?
That is how it worked.
If there is Good News, I believe it should be given to shareholders 1st, versus to the public. Why not? So if it's in the plan, we should see a PR after the meeting. Plus if any additional info is given during the meeting as a result of questions, it can be included in that same PR.
So true.
I remember Dr. Birx talking about modeling and how difficult it was because China refused to give out all their data and other information. Now it appears what they did give was false.
