LMAO. Maybe you're right and someone with a very tiny short position covered their position with 160 call options today. Very bullish indeed, considering the amount of money involved. No need to mention the 200k increase in shares shorted in the last report. A 16,000 share hedge, or long bet is much more telling. LOL! Some of the comments here really do beat all.
AVII, please list your probabilities for the following scenarios as to why the L trial was out on hold:
A futility finding at the 1st interim.
An efficacy finding (either the entire cohort or sub-group).
To buy time for manufacting capabilities to catch up with an expected favorable efficacy finding at 1st IA that hasn't occured yet.
Safety related reason (i.e., manufacturing issue, etc.)
Another reason not listed above.
Thanks!
Does it have legs?
Cldx up 10%?
Isn't there a conference in March too? Never too early to start talking about that. I'm sure something significant will be released. Don't want to be on the sidelines. Get your popcorn! Stay tuned!
How many new sites have been added in the last 6 months?
Hilarious and absolutely not true. Anyone could have easily bought 400k shares during the last couple of weeks between $2 and $2.50 without doing much to the price. Probably a previous financier dumping the warrants they received.
And I remember some posters saying what a wonderful buying opportunity and "loading the boat" in the 9's, 8's, 7's, 6's, 5's, 4's, 3's, 2's and 1's.
An asymmetric opportunity has been turned into something not nearly as enticing for new investors. Thus the 100k to 150k average volume in the low $2's. The market has assigned a value to this technology somewhere between bear and bear shi..
A couple of you have been talking about buying more shares recently. Another chance to buy at $2 or less is coming right up. The rinse and repeat cycle will continue until the next dilution with warrants under $2. This trades like a penny stock. A very unpopular penny stock.
Yes, the race continues while NWBO is pulled off the road with a blown radiator and a flat tire. A self imposed hold on both trials from all appearances, with no explanation.
The wait for news is driving me crazy!! It's a short trip and I arrived at my destination long ago..
I would like to see what $10m in open market purchases would do right about now. Another $20m in open market purchaes on the release of good news regarding L. Then have NWBO conduct a $150-$200 million financing around $20 per share with another reputable institution to fund Direct Phase 2 and provide financial security for the foreseeable future.
I want to see an all out war between NW buying open market and our masked 'friends' scrambling to fill the buying demand with naked shorting to suppress the price. Let's out on a nice display for the investigators to sink their teeth into. How does that sound?
Everyone is entitled to their own conspiracy theories. I can assure you that I am long. And no, I haven't been posting my concerns to lower the price to buy more. If there have been any DNDN type activities with NWBO, I hope those involved are brought to justice.
And what will you say if you are wrong about everything? What if it all blows up? Who will you blame it on? Me?
Please elaborate how this is ugly.
"A statistically significant overall survival benefit and the emergence of a long-term survival benefit were observed. The primary endpoint of the study, progression-free survival at six months, or PFS6, was met."
Wish you would have waited until after TZOR conducted his analysis before dropping this.
Significance?
I do see potential. That's why I'm still long. But I also have a lot of concerns that I wish didn't exist.
True enough. It really is inconsequential in the bigger picture. If NWBO comes out with good news tomorrow, no one will care about the rent 8 years ago. The original point was simply that it may be one piece of evidence that lends credence to a bigger issue of "funneling money". Let's hope the investigation clears this up once and for all. I think we are many weeks/months away from any conclusion, but maybe they will finish sooner rather than later.
I am partially responsible for the school yard behavior. In my defense, I retaliated after being called a Stooge, a plant, a liar, etc., for posting some of my concerns. I dished it back, but probably should have been the bigger person and avoided the personal digs. How about you stick around and I will cut back on my posting for awhile. Deal?
Glad you are finally admitting that there are some valid questions and concerns floating around. It takes some people longer than others. I appreciate the approach of a rolling review of any investment thesis. I do likewise and no I'm not going to immediately sell anything. What are your options exp. dates?
I care about any evidence from any year that may lend credibility to the notion that LP has bilked NWBO investors out of money for her personal gain. I want those theories to be disproven as clearly and quickly as possible. You should too.
It's a question about rent wise guy. All I need you to do is prove that the rent was reasonable for 2009. Easy peasy case closed. Not an accusation on anyone's character.
Don't confuse yourself, Eval. The question is whether or not $58 dollars per sq ft. was reasonable or inflated for the Bethesda area in 08/09. Who knows, maybe rent peaked in 2008/2009 before the recession and $58 was the going rate. I do know that looking at 2015, 2016, or 2017 rent is completely unrelated to the question. Aka BS.
You missed the point in all of this TZOR. The question isn't whether or not NWBO's current rent for the next few years is reasonable. The question is related to the 2009 rental agreement between NWBO and Toucan and if the rent was highly inflated for the benefit of Toucan. Transactions that were not at arm's length to begin with (do you even know what that means?)
Thank you for your thoughts. Another question, unrelated to CLDX. Are you aware of any instances where an interim analysis provided a halt for efficacy recommendation (full cohort or sub-group), but the sponsor and regulatory agencies agreed to delay announcement in order for manufacturing capacity to be expanded to meet projected patient demand?
I'm guessing the 4 employee number is what was reported by NWBO at the time. So ease up mate.
Exactly! And not to mention the major problem with using 2015 rates to justify what was paid in 2008. The 2008 rates would highlight an even larger discrepancy. Nothing more than a very weak attempt by multiple posters to obfuscate the original question with a heavy layer of BS..
Funny how facts cut right through the BS :)
I don't have a problem with cautiously optimistic. Your original comment of "This technology works" based on the uncontrolled studies was a bit reckless IMO.
Important to remember that we know with some certainty this treatment is not a cure by any means for the majority of the gbm population. Best case scenario is that it is extending life and may be used as a foundation in the continued pursuit of a cure (different frequency dosing or combination therapy, etc.). Even a few months increase in OS would be considered a breakthrough. But still much work left to cure this terrible disease.
Would the FDA delay action on NWBO regulatory discussions until Celldex's 2nd IA is complete?
Cancer is cured all the time...in mice. The Phase one L and Direct results cannot be relied on to predict the efficacy in a controlled trial. For many reasons, some of which you eluded to.
If the Phase 3 results are steller, I will rejoice for patients around the world. I have lost a lot of $ investing in NWBO, but I would gladly give it all up if dcvax is a breakthrough in cancer treatment.
You might have guessed that I feel strongly the mgt. has severely mishandled some important things that may have unnecessarily jeopardized what many of us invested in. And there have been several issues brought to light that need to be answered. It's unfortunate that NW had to force them to take action to clear the air. Thus my current disgruntled state. Maybe I'm right, maybe not. Time will tell. I hope I'm proven wrong on all fronts.
Flipper, is it likely (IYO) there's a correlation in the timing of Celldex's 2nd IA and forthcoming regulatory action regarding NWBO? Thanks
Single arm, non-controlled studies should not be relied upon to predict efficacy. But I'm sure you know this.
And it only took you a year to figure out it's a red flag. Maybe by next year you will realize there are more. LMAO
No you didn't elaborate how/why my posts look different. You seem to have a special interest in everything I write. And you usually make sure to remind me of how I didn't sell at the top. Almost like you enjoy rubbing my face in it.
You keep saying I have implied illegal actions. Quite the contrary. I said they may not be illegal. Questionable, yes. In our best interest, no. Big difference. I expect the lawyers know how to tip toe around the lines, but only time will tell. I also suspect the SEC may be taking a look under the hood.
Is Neil Woodford implying Linda is a crook?
Please elaborate.
34k a month rent to Toucan for 4 nwbo employees. Illegal? You tell me. Maybe not by the letter of the law, but it does seem like funneling money.
