I am expecting some news item to get the price out of this trading range, near end of January.
Based on these 2 events that are supposed to occur at that time...
If I recall correctly, it happened earlier when Dr. Barnhill had given a talk in London a few months ago.
Let's see ...
Good discussion on form T trading ... hopefully folks did not lose sleep over this!
So far no difference, yet, as of this morning's trade. Volume just at 12k now.
Need to keep things in perspective...
Every high level executive who is compensated by companies goes through this activity.
Dr. Barnhill created this company and owns a lot of shares!
He HAS TO cash out on all his hard work all these years. Give him a break!
He is indicating that he will actually REDUCE the number of shares that he COULD HAVE sold all through 2010.
Those who sell at this level risk regretting - but to each his own.
Barnhill wanted to show 2 things - atleast that is what I surmised from this -
1) Wants to reinforce the fact that even though he was allowed to sell twice as many shares/quarter, he is going to sell only half the original amount allowed earlier - one can infer that he expects the PPS to grow substantially - and reinforce faith in investors.
2) He is being pre-emptive and keeping this info open - trying to show that the company is transparent in its operations.
Bottomline, bullish for HDVY.
HEALTH DISCOVERY CORP Files SEC form 8-K
form 8-K
4-Jan-2010
On December 30, 2005, Health Discovery Corporation (the "Company") amended its insider trading policy to permit stock trading plans under SEC Rule 10b5-1. The rule permits officers, directors and employees to adopt written plans at a time when they are not in possession of material nonpublic information and to sell shares according to the plan on a regular basis (for example, weekly or monthly), regardless of any subsequent nonpublic information they receive or the price of the stock at the time of the sale.
According to SEC Rule 144, affiliates may sell during every three-month period a total number of shares not exceeding the greater of 1% of the company's outstanding shares or the average weekly trading volume during the four full calendar weeks preceding the sale.
On December 30, 2009, Dr. Stephen Barnhill, the Chairman and CEO of the Company, adopted a stock trading plan designed to comply with SEC Rule 10b5-1. Dr. Barnhill adopted the plan to avoid being prohibited from selling any shares for long periods of time due to the possession of material, nonpublic information during the traditional trading "windows," to minimize the market effect of such sales by spreading them over a more extended period than the traditional trading "window," and to gradually diversify his financial holdings as part of a standard and prudent financial planning process for the benefit of his family. Dr. Barnhill adopted a similar plan under Rule 10b5-1 in 2005.
Under the plan, Dr. Barnhill has elected to sell up to 975,000 shares per quarter of the Company's common stock through December 31, 2010, which is substantially less than the approximately 1,922,000 shares per quarter he would be permitted to sell in compliance with Rule 144, based on the Company's 192,212,845 common shares outstanding as of December 30, 2009. The number of shares included in the 10b5-1 plan represents a fraction of the total shares and options beneficially owned and/or controlled by Dr. Barnhill.
You are welcome Bob.
Here's wishing you and the rest of the iHub folks on this board - the very best for 2010.
Let's get this HDVY above a quarter and not see HDVY below that level again in 2010
Based on all the changes expected in the US Health care system due to Healthcare bills, focus on personalized healthcare, new technologies --- 2010 should be a defining year to start off the next decade.
The best is yet to come ...
2 Posts from Yahoo board (not mine) - Yahoo board is not usually known for good insights - but this one's useful.
1) Personalized Health Care summit on January 26th, 2010 in Wash. DC area.
Barnhill and Norris are on the agenda.

2) Abbott to announce their quarterly results on January 27th, 2010.
Not expecting anything sensational ... but who knows!

Cheers,
Hi TechstockBob,
Those may be applicable for companies with products that are "nice to have" or "luxury items" or "durable goods" type of products.
This one is in a league of its own - because of the huge number of folks who are crying out for a "reliable" and simple test.
The cost of the test will not be a factor for those wanting to know "for sure" if they have prostate or not.
Besides, the Insurance companies and the medical establishment will back up these type of tests - simply because the existing ones are not at all reliable.
I see a confluence of events coming to fruition. 2010 will be the year!
Keep smiling ... Cheers.
renmanaz - good to put it in perspective.
2010 should be a defining year for HDVY when it will break from its shackles and start growing - and reaping from its investment in R&D and technology.
Best wishes...
Generally institutions avoid stocks below $5 - because of many reasons including liquidity, transparency, greater chance of going under, their own internal rules, etc.
Once this company crosses the $1 watch the interest that will propel this rocket.
Until then, we wait...for news from Quest and Abbott.
Cheers.
Hope that is not your keyboard!
Cheers,
We need to remind ourselves of the reasons we got in to this company.
Those reasons have NOT changed.
Too bad that NO ONE knows (now will anyone know) when the news will come out - and that is part of the excitement that the future brings to all of us.
It is indeed frustrating, especially for the long timers to continue to have faith in this company.
None of the events that have transpired in the recent months have given us any indication of going the wrong way. On the contrary, events in the past are converging to a brighter future. I continue to hold and accumulate on dips.
Besides, there are other plays in the market.
Time for a holiday ...
Cheers.
Back from a long holiday!
Just reading through the discussion board - excellent discussions going on.
Stock price seems to have had a pop to high 20s and continues to base at .20.
Good to know that Quest that dominates and is working with half the medical folks and hospitals - is expecting to build on these kinds of tests for their future revenues.
Their test announcement should be the catalyst to get this stock moving upward. Until then, we will continue to drift.
Cheers,
Personalized is the way to go - technology is finally catching up - AND making it affordable.
The human body is so unique and targeting generalized medicines has been futile at best - with lots of hits and misses.
Targeting at gene level is the final frontier.
Good research - thanks for sharing.
Oh my, if we reach that price for HDVY - I will go crazy!
ewwwwwwww!
Time to load up!
Good technique renmanaz.
Thanks for validating the underlying chart strength.
Chart looks primed - and has been for a few days.
Another biomarker company PWRM seems to be getting a run in past couple of days....
Patience is indeed a virtue!
Cheers
Finally we get lift-off !
Great research 'bobafett'
I do hope that HDVY does not get acquired for a paltry amount.
It has more potential on its own through the cash flow revenues
that it will get from these tests.
I had asked this question earlier in this board - and I did not receive a response - does HDVY have a poison pill or some such legal blocks that will PREVENT it from being taken over?
I presume it does not, since I did not get a response earlier.
Thanks again for that Quest research.
We live in "interesting" times.
They have a great product - very high tech.
With the low float, only a matter of time.
Nice run in IMGG ...
Let's see what Friday the 13th brings ...
Cheers
hi wadespy - I cannot discuss one stock in another stock's board or else I will break iHub's rules.
I just follow the fundamentals and T/A. This looks good to me for a re-entry.
But, please do your own DD and don't rely on my opinion.
heh heh TechStockBob - I will retire if this goes to $5
Yes - another good sign that they (MMs) do not want to give away at these low prices.
Chart looks good to accumulate.
This company has got quite a few orders recently!
Hi Degreed,
No... I do not follow anyone else's plays.
I think for myself.
Cheers.
Well said.
I am continuing to shift more from the BIEL play into this - a better "investment" - and lock in some profits.
Keep an eye on SNDY.
Concur with you. Good price to accumulate.
I am expecting this to bounce AGAIN after "kissing" this 50d ema at .191 - today's low so far is at .19
STRONG BUY --- continue to accumulate
HDVY has got some catching up to do TechStockBob!
You have to use both T/A and Funnymentals - each have their unique values.
T/A will help you assess WHEN is a good time to jump in or get out (entry/exit). T/A does not necessarily apply on low volume plays - nor is it accurate most of the time - that is why there are so many indicators!
Funnymentals - with all the crazy rules in place - it is a free for all. I don't trust fundamentals, especially for these penny plays. Yes, they do play a part - in helping you validate if it is a company worth investing.
I look at both to help me decide.
fwiw!
Yes! Load them up while it is cheap!
MMs shaking out the weak hands.
This is an investment - and have to hold it through these gyrations.
I continue to accumulate on dips.
I ask myself this question before I buy --- if the reason I bought it in the 1st place has not changed, and a new opportunity presented itself - will I add? The answer for this stock is YES.
Ask yourself - IF in 3 months or 6 months from now (because this is an investment not a short term trade) this trades at $1 or $1.50 or even $2, would I want to buy it now at 20 cents? The answer is ... (you know what to do)!
ClayTrader - thank you for your annotated charts!
Appreciate that.
Cheers.
heh heh "bobafett" ... that would be nice.
If it breaks the September high of .12, that is doable in the near future.
Hi HighlanderTCBO1 - that is the total trading volume from Friday - about 304k shares.
