Thanks Jimlur. EOM
Revlis, Why?
Jimlur, I would appreciate your response to this hollerz person.
One more post, nice picture.
Amssag has run out of his 3 daily posts. I am starting to like IHUB.
IMO, this is a nonevent. I have seen many similar stories this year. Investors care about earnings and potential, and we have an abundance of both.
teecee, do you really think this will hurt us today? This is supposed to be a great day with the conference, and possible margin calls on shorts.
Dish, congrats. I didn't get stopped because I am not selling. But my friend had 24.5 in place to protect himself from a problem. He was a penny from being ROBBED. I still don't see it as the market at work, I see it as screwing the little guy, so I asked the SEC to explain it.
I put in a formal complaint with the SEC. I was suprised noone commented on the mms robbing the stops at the open. Was I the only one that saw it? In the first 2 minutes of the open they came down to 24.51, took the stops and then went over 25.5. So much for the guy that went to work trying to protect himself, comments?
I received my proxy ballot via e-mail last night.
Alley, that was a Great post. You said it all.
Thanks Jim.
Jimlur, Mschere, or all. Been asked by several people. What is a good guesstimate for 1st quarter earnings? TIA
teecee, here it is.
TOM CARPENTER: I've got two final questions and I'll let some other folks get on the call. In the release, you talked about there's a period of review and negotiation and dispute resolution with regards to Nokia and Samsung. Could you give us a ballpark idea of the timeframe on that. Is that Summer 2003, end of 2003, for the period of review?
HOWARD GOLDBERG: Let me lay out how it works, Tom, and I'll answer your question. There is a period that is specified in terms of a specific number of days that I'm not at liberty to divulge, but as you can imagine, what we agreed on was a commercially reasonable period for review and discussion that is narrow enough to accommodate our needs and expansive enough to accommodate the needs of the other side. It is not a tremendously long period, and then after that if in fact we do not reach a resolution, and that's an IF at this point in time, we believe that the terms are pretty clear and we will have to see what happens in that discussion, but if need be, arbitration will be the means of having a neutral party to sign which party is in the right with respect to any opposing positions. If we were to go that far, it is possible that the final terms would not be set in 2003, but instead would fall over into the 2004 period. If we don't get engaged in an arbitration process, it would be the case that the rates would be established, and everything triggered from the rates would occur in 2003.
In regards to shorts. Can we assume the majority of them are short below the current price? We were only above this mark for a brief period. Seems to be a reasonable conclusion. Again, I can't imagine how they must feel.
Any volunteers if once loses to help him dine? Jim how about this for a survey? Would you cram a monitor down onces throat?
Can you imagine what it must feel like to be short right now?
Ken, well said. It seems odd for someone to discuss just how much money the company is about to take in. He did say 8 bucks a share in cash didn't he? North of 35 bucks as we stand today?
Great report, at first glance it seems as bullish as Carpenters. Thanks Jim.
Jimlur, nice job with the board today. Your hard work is appreciated. Your email list worked nicely today as well, thanks.
10,700 @ 18.85, eom.
Desert, great post, eom.
After 2 weeks of junk posted on this board. That report is exactly what I needed to see. Carpenter is telling us it is in the bag.
Anyone have the Monday article about IDCC as a short candidate that Carpenter referenced in his report. Thanks
Alley, I have been looking forward to your return. Please continue your great work.
Once, you appear desperate for some reason. Why had you not posted for 2 months? You always use quotes, this comes to mind when I see your posts.
"If you see a man approaching you with the obvious intent of doing you good, you should run for your life."

Broken, there were just 6 up ticks, all is well. That last post was pretty pathetic, IMHO.
After reading all these posts over the weekend, I came to the conclusion you all must have loved the X-files. Big brother conspiracy theories, unreal. Look back at the posts Dec-Jan, everyone was suing everyone than as well. Management knew the trial would be delayed, they dumped, trial was never going to be settled.
My point is this board overreacts both ways. Just 2 weeks ago we were guessing 50 plus dollars a share. Sell the stock and move on.
wilco, time for you to turn in this time.
teecee, is this continued high volume good or bad for us. Your comments would be appreciated.
Wilco, funny stuff. Going right after the shield.
biggenegg here it is.
=DJ InterDigital Down-3: Oper Chief Had 204,404 Shares In '02
InterDigital compensates executives with a base salary, options and bonuses, said Guy Hicks, a company representative. If approved by the board, executives will receive options based on the company's performance, he added.
As of April 2002 - the last time InterDigital filed a proxy statement - chief operating officer Tilden had 204,404 shares and options. However, this number doesn't reflect any change in position this year. At the time, CEO Goldberg had 420,462 shares and technology chief Briancon had 30,731 shares.
News that InterDigital hasn't yet renewed its licensing agreement for Japan with Sharp Corp. (J.SRP) may also have weighed on the shares, said Hilliard Lyon's Carpenter. The information was in InterDigital's annual report, filed late Monday.
However, the contract, which expired in March, will likely be renewed in the coming weeks, Carpenter said.
"They have a very good relationship with Sharp," said Carpenter, who does own shares of InterDigital. "It's just a matter of agreeing" on the figures, he added.
Sharp has a separate licensing agreement with InterDigital pertaining to countries outside of Japan.
Hilliard Lyons doesn't have a banking relationship with the company.

chipster, he said sharp would probably be done within weeks.
The only one to step up on behalf of the shareholder today was Carpenter. What he said was enough for me to hold my shares.
That was a well timed and positive release. Company is going forward. The morning action was just for the April "fools", up from here.
Thanks Teecee, You made me feel better quickly.
Dishfan, do we think, or is that what has been said. Seems pretty signifigant.
Looking for comments on this from page 15.. TIA
The Ericsson and Sony Ericsson license agreements apply to 2G GSM/TDMA and 2.5G GSM/GPRS/TDMA infrastructure and terminal unit products.
Accordingly, one or more additional agreements with a designated leading manufacturer will be necessary, in the absence of agreement between ITC and Nokia, to fully define the full scope of Nokia?s obligations under its patent license agreement.
The starting point for calculating Nokia?s royalty obligation will be January 1, 2002. In addition, Samsung elected to apply its MFL provision to ITC?s patent license agreement with Nokia as regards Samsung?s 2G and 2.5G TDMA-based products. Therefore, beginning in 2002 Samsung?s royalty rate should be determined in the same manner as Nokia?s royalty rate is determined. There is no assurance that either Nokia or Samsung will agree with ITC as to the applicability of the licensing terms between ITC and Ericsson and Sony Ericsson. The MFL terms include provisions for a period of review, negotiation, and dispute resolution with regard to the determination of royalty obligations of Nokia and Samsung.
Why does the first quarter still show .03 eps? Does none of ERICY get booked there? TIA
Looking for opinions. How much longer can this stock handle this kind of volume without splitting? Anyone have examples of a similar stock for comparison I would appreciate that as well. Just to add fuel what would happen if mgmt announced a stock buy back?
