I agree billpr. making a yes or no decision at this point is futile. we need more info. if we can add equity while limiting expenses, then why wouldn't we give it a try. on the other hand if all we're increasing O/S's on, is present information we're in trouble.

If I remember right, last year during the last week of september we also received two simulator orders.

I just checked my etrade account and noticed that Reuters has an analytical report on VIRTRA which was posted on 9/19/06. while it doesn't tell us anything new the fact that reuters is providing independent analysis has to be a positive.
thanks.
who did you speak with?
cyber knew about the marines way before any of us did. he also came with-in a few days of predicting what appeared to be, at the time, big PR's, on a few occasions. why not listen to someone who implies hope. if i want doom and gloom i'll watch the news. what's the lesson this time? I don't have a clue.

Friends and Shareholders:
Attached please find this morning's press release announcing our most recent sale to the United States Air Force.
We are quite pleased that the Air Force continues to upgrade and expand its use of our IVR® immersive small arms training simulators. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The very first domestic IVR HD-300™ simulator we sold back in 2004, is now receiving an upgrade to transform it into a full IVR 4G-300™. The main difference between the IVR 4G version simulator and its counterpart, the IVR HD, is the ‘4G's ability to simultaneously track six trainees, independently and uniquely, while using fully automatic weapons firing at rates of more than 700-rounds a minute. That amount of firepower is typical of today's infantry squads, and elite tactical teams can carry even more. So, it is natural that military customers prefer the ‘4G's more robust functionality.
The sale also included a healthy order of more wireless/tetherless training-conversion recoil weapon kits. Also included in the order, is our new line of tetherless handgun conversion kits. Added to our wireless/tetherless long-rifle offerings, our new line of handgun conversion kits gives our IVR systems maximum versatility for our customers, and are a vital new product addition. Currently, we are expanding our weapon offerings to include most every small arm used by our customers, including heavy machine guns and grenade launchers. This ensures the utility of our systems, now, and into the future, for small arms training applications.
If you can't meet customer expectations, you fail. Our development team in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Phoenix has done a remarkable job anticipating customer needs and developing innovative products; thus, keeping our product offerings congruent with the market's expectations and needs. In addition, we continue our efforts at product development and enhancement. I look forward to discussing a new feature that we intend to launch in the near future, which I believe will become standard in all our virtual reality and simulation market channels.
By now, you may have seen our product name, IVR, sporting its new ® registered trademark symbol. VirTra Systems was recently granted this trademark protection by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and you can expect to see this used exclusively in upcoming company correspondence and sales collateral.
I have just returned to the Middle East to wrap things up here, and will soon head back home to assume my duties with VirTra Systems as chief executive officer. I believe foremost on everyone's mind, is the state of the merger and its timetable. As these details are currently being determined, upon completion, I intend to quickly up-date everyone on the merger, including its timetables and impact on our future. These are quite exciting times for the company, and I look forward to a full dialogue with you all.
These are simply my personal comments and should not be relief upon in your investment decisions. I strongly urge you to conduct your own due diligence with regard to any investment in VirTra Systems. I respectfully refer you to VirTra Systems' filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

Friends and Shareholders
Attached please find this morning’s press release:
It is with great pleasure that I correspond with you all today as the new chief executive officer of VirTra Systems. For those of you who may not be as familiar with me as others, I will give you a brief background.
In early 2005, I accepted the position as the Company’s first advisory board member. Quite simply, the reason I accepted that position was because I firmly believe in the Company’s product, the IVR® series of small arms training simulators, and the obvious potential for sustainment training for our troops fighting in Theaters around the globe.
I have been deployed in Iraq the past year with KBR, a subsidiary of Halliburton, as the Deputy Program Manager for Support. A great position, where I made significant contacts with numerous U.S. military and foreign procurement officers in the Middle East and Southwest Asia.
The majority of my time in Iraq was consumed with supporting functional areas, and due to a potential for conflict of interest, precluded me from soliciting on behalf of VirTra Systems while associated with Halliburton. Naturally, now that I will no longer have that responsibility, I can focus full-time on growing VirTra Systems’ IVR immersive small arms training simulator business. I intend to be a full-time, working chief executive officer.
The military, historically, has been slow to adopt new training methodology. However, once you have proven that your technology is relevant to the military’s immediate need, it can turn a small company into a strategic defense contractor. It is my firm belief that VirTra Systems has the right products for training our troops in mounted and dismounted urban, “fourth-generation” warfare. Actually, the Company has done a remarkable job with initial market penetration considering its limited resources, and given the military’s recent preoccupation with the Global War on Terror. I am committed to making any and all adjustments to our Company’s business plan that would bring value to the shareholders and meet our customer’s needs.
Most are likely unaware that, in addition to my tenure in the military, I also have significant background in manufacturing management. In light of the pending acquisition, the Board and I felt that my skills and experience were congruent with the current business model as well as the pending company acquisitions.
My goal is to make both VirTra Systems’ small arms training products and our acquisition target’s contract-manufacturing capabilities, indispensable to the U.S. military, as well as personal security detachments and law enforcement organizations worldwide. There is no magical methodology to what I intend to accomplish. I deal with one person at a time, one-on-one, many whom I have known for years. Moreover, and this I fervently believe, anyone who has the budget and is in the market for a training simulator, after trying our product and understanding its value, will become our customer.
As I am currently completing my last ‘tour-of-duty’ in Iraq with KBR, I am writing to you from Baghdad. Although I have enjoyed my mission here, and am proud of our accomplishments, I very much look forward to again living stateside, leading a more normal life with my family, working regular, full-time hours for VTSI, and ducking fewer incoming mortar rounds. Although I will not officially start until 01 July 2006, I have already begun making contacts and expect steady progress acquiring new business both here and globally. In addition to our present product channels, we have been formulating plans for important new profit centers for the new, larger VirTra Systems. I look forward to sharing with you these plans and others, in upcoming correspondence.
There has been much discussion between myself and the Board concerning our current status and how to best move ahead following our five-point strategy. As I build my team to accomplish our goals, it has been decided that Andrew Wells, whom I have been working closely with and is responsible for my initial and current involvement in VTSI, will soon step down as Director of VirTra Systems. He can better serve the Company in his investment banking capacity fostering increased institutional investment for the Company. Mr. Wells has served VirTra Systems with distinct honor. Therefore, it is with great reluctance that we accept his resignation. However, I am equally excited to have him working on our behalf, gaining new investment into our organization – one of the many areas I intend to aggressively address.
David Rogers will also step down as chief financial officer. He has done an outstanding job since taking the position, and we would have liked to see him stay on also. David will graciously continue to help during the transition and ensure timely filings and transfer of information.
Additionally, I have plans to help strengthen our Board, and look forward to soon discussing creation of our own experienced leadership team for VirTra Systems.
I have been apprised by the current Board that several impediments have recently been overcome with regard to our pending acquisition. I am pleased to report that we expect significant progress, if not completion of the initial phase, within the next sixty (60) days. We have much work to do, but this Company will successfully grow and grow well, because we have the right products at the right time. I look forward to helping with the growth of the Company and making a viable business for our faithful employees and loyal shareholders.
These are simply my personal comments and should not be relief upon in your investment decisions. I strongly urge you to conduct your own due diligence with regard to any investment in VirTra Systems. I respectfully refer you to VirTra Systems’ filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

has this been posted yet?
In our January FFO Update Report, we cited the spectacular growth of Harbor Electronics, culminating in its acquisition by Everett Charles. Now we are watching Dynalyst in Texas. Harbor benefited from its relationship to Intel; Dynalyst, reborn in the Taylor Technologies plant with new management, will benefit as part of VerTra, from better timing—2006 instead of 2000, and from the alliance with Freescale Semiconductor-- $6B sales going up, inheritor of Motorola Semi’s technology and markets, leader in embedded microprocessing and RF, #3 in U.S., #9 in the world semiconductor industry

cybersearch posted from the jailhouse on 2-2-06 that he had some good news for vtsi investors. i don't see his alias on the list of inmates anymore. anybody know where he's at?
the way i see it, the present virtra share holders will assume about 50% ownership in the new company. considering the fact that we're merging with three other companies bringing in about ten times what virtra grossed this past year i would say we're getting a pretty good deal.
I, for one, enjoy hearing from you. regardless of the trash bylo continues to spin, good things do tend to happen when you show up.
yes
while i agree it usually takes longer, he certainly made no promise. you, if anybody, knows what a forward looking statement is.
ceres,
i'm having a hard time believing kelly's tone was as negative as you portrayed it. others who've received emails from kelly post them here for all of us to pick apart. please post the emails you receive from kelly. if the tone is as bad as you state then maybe i'll start listening a little closer to your rantings and misinformation.
351 posts (almost all bashing) = no life
hey ceres, some people need to be hit in the head with a brick to understand. do you have a bigger brick?
well basher boys, lets hear it. tell us about all the lies, misrepresentations and manipulations. i'm sure your superior intelligences will be able to lay it all out clearly. oh, and by the way thank you in advance for all the time and effort you've put in to helping us feeble minded souls save our nest eggs.
i'm with you rusty. common sense doesn't seem to matter much to the bash brothers. hopefully a relative or associate will use some tough love and get these boys back on their meds. obsessive compulsive? bi-polar? or just anal retentive and spoiled? thanks for hanging in there.

ssparsons,
i also appreciate your post but am quite disheartened by the negativity on this board. I believe Virtra will succeed at some point in the near future and have purchased my share of stock to show my support. it's pathetic when any positive news and or communication is posted the usual suspects fall over each other trying to discredit it. i will continue to read and follow the board but am in no mood to bicker or debate with people who have no position and or hidden agenda. thank you for your posts.
eschrine
ceres,
a couple weeks ago you stated that a large simulator deal was imminent. in a follow up message you implied that it would occur by the end of the month. what lead you to make this statement? did you mis-interpret the imminent deal as being a simulator deal and it was really the acquisition?
eschrine
if you remember, prior to aquiring ferris, gamz had an loi to merge with etpi. that fell through when a better company came along. looks like this is similar to what happened then. my only question is "how many idiots will we pick up on this board from the shunned company?"

RACE AGAINST REALITY. there are some quotes from bob ferris near the end.
http://www.popsci.com/popsci/
HERE'S THE FOURTH PAGE OF THE ARTICLE
You can’t be frightened of making a mistake if there are no consequences. Team Forza tried to solve this by having players pay—with winnings—for the damage they incur. Perhaps not surprisingly, this doesn’t incite the same kind of fear that the threat of paralysis will. The military has a clever way of dealing with this problem in its combat simulators: pain. VirTra Systems, which designs and builds training devices for the U.S. military, incorporates something called Threat-Fire, a belt that zaps the “player” with 80,000 volts of electricity when he screws up. “The idea is to implement psychological stress,” says Bob Ferris, president of VirTra Systems. “It’s not the same as the threat of death, but knowledge of a consequence he wishes to avoid does affect the way a person handles himself.”
Another key element of realism absent from any racing game is the physical sense of motion, most notably from G-forces. A race driver can experience up to four times the force of gravity. Try turning your head when it feels like it weighs 60 pounds.
You’re not actually moving in Forza , of course, but training on the “sim” clearly has a bearing on reality. Jeannette already knew the Braselton course well, but DeVera had never laid eyes on it, and he fared well for someone who doesn’t race for a living. “It was a huge help to have a full day in different cars, getting used to the track—even if it was a videogame,” he says. “It was real enough that it helped me find my apexes and braking points and kept me from getting surprised.”
While certainly there exist more robust ways of replicating reality, Forza makes excellent use of the techno- logies you can actually bring home: high- definition video and surround sound. Eventually, predicts Ferris, “We’re just going to tap into the brain, and the whole simulation will occur there—no screens, no speakers.” Until then, if you’re dying for a simulated experience more gripping than Forza , you could always join the Air Force and ask for Threat-Fire detail. But before you enlist, it’s worth appreciating the things you can do in games that you can’t get away with in reality.
On that first day at Road Atlanta, Jeannette conducted a little virtual experiment of his own. Spinning the wheel to the right, he dropped the prototype racer into first gear and started massaging the pedal. Rendered smoke poured off the tires and clouded the plasma screen as he cranked out digital doughnuts. “Couldn’t do this in real life!” the young racer exclaimed. “Well,” he considered, “I could. But I might get fired.”
