Ohforgawd'ssake, Cman - enough of the commercially viable nonsense. This process has been around since the '30s, it's simply been updated and perfected - if it was commercially viable for (pre)Nazi Germany, it's certainly commercially viable now.
The DoE has an obligatory site inspection, prior to releasing the results.
I will make a bet that the DoE results will exceed expectations...
I'll add some gold stars....
Indeed - we have been long suffering, although I hope not irreversibly jaded!
Hey SS - new tweet from CCTC: :@CCTCInc has major int'l coal buyers lining up. PRB coal's lower ash & *suffer content makes it cleaner burning. CCTI's ability to increase PRB heat (BTU) value makes it more efficient and cost competitive internationally. Its win-win for US exports and int'l users.
*Pretty sure they meant sulphur - character restriction and auto type I suspect.
Yesterday you wrote the technology works; what do you base your opinion on "if there are results are coming-- and there's no guarantee that there are or that they will be favorable..."???
What changed your mind that the technology is proven?
"Proven technology".....
I would love to see you send an open letter, with your grievances, to said clowns. Perhaps offer some constructive direction or what you would like to see as a shareholder.
Very nice find - as far as we know, we're at 5, on our way to 6- or is it 3??? CCTI's path certainly hasn't been linear, but as long as it happens!
Nice! Thank you for the response~
Very plausible indeed - remember, the best part of the carrot, when it is growing, is beneath the soil..,.
Fab to see you back, JB--great find!
Nice find~
Thanks for the vote, BeeBs!
The bigger money is in the secondary market of the petroleum byproducts with the original Pristine process. Pristine M, moisture extraction & stabilization of the coal, was the lowest hanging fruit we had to work with when energy policies were not complimentary.
And the original process also has the ability to compete directly with sweet crude for gasoline. The Nazi regime was using a similar process in the run up to the war; while the original CCTI process is not new, it has been exponentially refined.
Never stated the market was wrong. It is what it is. And I know the technology works. But I note your deflection.
Nothing formal was ever put in writing; GE floated the idea in a conference call in '06/07 - I told Hunt they'd shelve the tech, and they pretty much said as much in a follow-up conversation.
Yes, hearsay testimony I know; but I know what I know, and there are a few on this board who know I am legit.
It's an historical fact. The bigger question is why? Why would a GE want to buy us out at $6 and then shelve the tech - or the more recent suitors? Why would these companies be interested in a late-stage startup? I assure you it's not because the technology does not work.
No. Rather, this process is so effective, it has the ability to influence geopolitics. If you control energy policy, you control much more than just energy. You control/influence chain supply, from food to basic transportation to even petroleum by-products for secondary industries like Dow/DuPont. Yes. The CCTI process has that kind of reach.
I believe so too - it is a technology whose time has come.....
This conversation was around 2006/7
No....If I may, I don't think that's what he means -
It truly does come down to geopolitics and whatever energy policy is in place by a sovereign nation, not just the US.
I can also tell you first hand that ages ago, GE wanted to buy the company out at $6/share, but would shelve the technology, shortly thereafter.
I can tell you first hand, those DoE test results, totally exceeded expectations. Back in the day, tests run on the original, horizontal, device/process knocked the stats out of the ballpark. The new vertical device is infinitely better in terms of efficiency. It worked then; it works even better, now.
Geopolitics & a dash of disinformation goes a long way...
They've field numerous lawsuits over the years - yet, they are still here.
The technology works. I've been proselytizing this since 1995.
The tests done in OK were specific to the DoE request; we are waiting for the announcement on the results. The delay is due to a mandatory site inspection, which the OK owners did not want to participate in, for obvious reasons - it's like voluntarily inviting the IRS into your financials.
Thank you for the citation.
Finally - we agree on something. And to that is what I have been saying, that it has been an uphill battle for Robin and Aiden and less than complimentary energy policies - couple that with being the laughing stock of the east coast investment community and you have the results we have today.
But in all sincerity, the tide has turned....the deck is now finally stacked in CCTI's favor; should this opportunity not be capitalized upon, I may adjust my position toward management--and there would have to be very extenuating circumstances, but never against the technology.
GE, back in the day; they stated plainly they were going to shelve the tech. I was on the call with Hunt, Douglass, & Petersen....
I have stated previously, that there were many obstacles Robin & Aiden were up against; from the delay in publishing DoE results, to finding a suitable plant site - the nuances of progressing this company and the technology are not always linear.
Robin & Aiden have the wind at their backs, now - Lets see how they are able to capitalize on the momentum of favorable agreements and energy policies.
On the contrary - the process works so well that it has the ability to change geopolitics as we know it. Over the years there have been a handful of companies that have wanted to buy out the company---with a means to shelve the technology. This isn't science fiction.....
Yes. Absolutely.
Totally missed it - thanks for reposting!
Based on what????
The original process, Pristine, was completely self-contained, with no external fuel sources.
The history of this company is, indeed, chequered. No one is contesting that. The original leadership were cads. Thankfully, most of them are dead.
By the time Eves came along, CCTI was the laughing stock of the investment world. His has been an uphill battle.
There is karmic energy to be paid, including how the patent was acquired by Hunt from Sterling, but not insurmountable.
There has never been any doubt in my mind that the technology works.
We are now on the best path, than we ever have been, to reach commercial success.
Well noted!
People, PEOPLE! Look back in history and see what technologies have been held back due to geopolitics & profit.
From JP Morgan interfering with Tesla's free electricity project from the ionosphere (and subsequently bailing on Tesla and backing Edison) or Rockefeller backing Ford's gas guzzling engine as a means to thwart Tesla/Morgan, what makes CCTI any different?
Very few on this board grasp what is really going on behind the scenes. And as a former US Dept of Commerce spokesperson once said a very, very, long time ago, the CCTI technology has the potential to change geopolitics as we know it. Think about that...there have been a number of companies over the years that have proposed certain deals with the intent to shelve the technology.
I have been at this since 1995 and have seen it first hand.
With the current energy policy in place, there will not be a better opportunity for CCTI to flourish; now if only TPTB will allow this little clean coal company that could.
We should all be sending out prayers and positive energy for Robin and Aiden to go forward with a clear path and continued discernment for a successful launch, commercially and financially.
