Randy, be careful of the addition penney per share over "X" number of shares traded, at both of those firms. It can cost a person BUKU $$$$$ trading penney stocks, etc.
TDAmeritrade does not do that.
Cheers!

We've already discussed the Iranian issue and it's ability to push green stocks (especially green vehicle stocks) through the roof if Israel attacks the Iranian nuclear facility(s).
Well, there's some news out on this subject today which provides another piece of the timeline puzzle.
"Russia to start Iran nuclear plant by year end"
http://iht.com/articles/reuters/2009/02/05/africa/OUKWD-UK-IRAN-NUCLEAR-RUSSIA.php
"Iran says U.S. must accept nuclear program"
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/6c33dd74-f2eb-11dd-abe6-0000779fd2ac.html
Note: We might have to accept it (due to passive leadership), but the Israeli's under Netanyahu or Livni certianly won't accept it. Keep in mind, the effects of a tactical strike would send gas prices soaring, probably higher than 2009's highest prices at the pumps.
The value of this little company's product array far exceeds the attractiveness of the lawsuit which they have going on against Toyota.
When millions of middle class families are struggling to save a dollar every month, and a company comes along with products which enable them to have a savings, their financial security is boosted.
The same goes for businesses....
It's all about a realized savings now, otherwise it's "natural selection" for businesses. Meaning: You produce a good product, for a low cost, that provides a savings, or else you go out of business!
Top of the morning to you Ben!
I was thinking last night about investments going forward. There is alot of talk of a depression taking place. Gordon Brown mentioned it at Parliment the other day. Russia is having serious bank problems.... President Obama and Nancy Pelosi keep talking about tough times ahead in the media spotlight... 500,000 jobs a day lost, etc, etc..
The equities which are shining the most right now in my opinion are the ones which provide a significant and immediately recognizable savings to the consumer. SOLM's products will do that.
Imagine no fuel costs, no preventive maintence fees, no oil changes. Hot diggity dog, that means we can all eat key lime pie with dinner every night!
LOL
Randy, rest easy mate!
Your post was a valuable one. Infact, we both learned something from the information which you provided. That is a valuable calculation that Fidelity offers.
But personally....
I like TD Ameritrade, because you can buy a gazillion shares online, all for just $9.99 a trade.
The SOLM vs TOY case is not the meat & potatoes though. That whole case is actually like a "midnight snack" on your favorite cruise ship, which should prove to be a delicious extra. But I agree with you Ben.... I too think that TOY has been caught dead to rights by SOLM.
I really did value Joyce's contributions yesterday.
That gave us a much broader picture of what a huge savings this company's technology is capable of providing to industry. Sales to fleet delivery vehicles like UPS, and all school buses across the nation would be a gargantuan application, let alone our personally owned vehicles.
Strong demand for product (with patents). That's what I like!!!

Actually Randy... It's wonderful news!
Thank you sir.
That makes me feel alot better about this investment. If you click on Audit Integrity's link below (and scroll down to the graph), you'll see that your stated numbers for SOLM, means that their accounting and governance is pretty darn trustworthy, as 0% to 25% is the danger zone.
AGR® Calculation
The AGR® score ranges from 0-100, with corresponding ratings from Very Aggressive to Conservative. Companies rated Very Aggressive or Aggressive have proven to be much more likely to face class action litigation and financial restatements, and to suffer severe equity loss. The AGR® model has been rigorously tested and validated using accepted industry standards, and has proven to be accurate and independent of bias.
http://www.auditintegrity.com/methodology/
Actually, SOLM is very close to being in the conservative zone! This is a reason to celebrate due to the fact that it's a penney stock.
Confucius say:
Don't feed the 40+ year old "pidgeon", and the pidgeon will have nobody to get food from inorder to chirp redundant negativity like a broken record.
The "pidgeon" is self-serving, with a "paid" Ihub membership. The "pidgeon" needs a SOLM audience.
Yeah fivestar,
Frantic anxiety that he can't make that 25 to 50K proffit as fast as he wants to. So much time on his hands, yet so little patience? That certianly doesn't add up.
All the better for him though, because Obamie is gonna tax everyone & their Mamie for short term capital gains with next year's filing.
A case of Heinz ketchup "in bottles" would do the Day-Popper some good. I'm won't call him prophet anymore because that's not applicable.
LOL
Oh and Kitty beat you to the punch on that .008 call, so don't think that you get ALL of the glory.
LOL
She's a tougher kitty than you are a prophet.
Well you're awfully impatient and lazy in your due dilligence as a 40 year old.
"DUDE"
LOL
Precisely Ben.
And no patience = DAYTRADER
Joyce, you're a wealth of information!
I like your links to support the demand for product that SOLM has on it's arsenal. Keep up the good posts and welcome aboard.
I said wxactly what you are saying now, yesterday. SOLM needs to get hoppin with the D.O.E.'s ATVM Loan Program. Look that one up on Google and then check out the the parts companies that have applied for the an ATVM loan as well.
SOLM has another opportunity to apply, if they get the paperwork in!!!
Nice find Joyce.
SOLM is definately a solution to that problem. I had to put that in my favorites.
Thanks!
Top of the line post there Ben.
In layman's terms too!
The mere fact that SOLM is defending it's patent, plus saying to shareholders that they intend to increase earnings, tells me that they don't plan to sell out or go down in flames. They are simply doing what they have to do, and only they have known what cards were in their hand prior to those two recently released NEW patent confirmations.
I look forward to the coming months ahead.
Either one of two things are going to happen with SOLM....
Management will implement their patented products with vigor in the near future, or they will be bought out. It appears that they do intend to go it alone though, according to management's rhetoric.
And why not?
Everyone has to admit, their research team is exceedingly impressive. With all of their patents combined, they have pretty much check-mated everyone else in the electric drive system, or so it seems. To me this increases SOLM's intrinsic value. Ofcourse, Warren Buffet might not agree with my estimations here, but SOLM has boxed alot of territory in with their product array.
Build the EV recharge infrastructure and change will take place, right? Well my friends, we're going to find out.... Because that is exactly what's happening on the west coast.
This isn't Beijing China, where people have no choice as to what kind of air they breathe. We all saw the pictures of their air quality prior to the Olympics. People walking their dogs couldn't even see the animals on a leash infront of them. Americans care more about their quality of life, have the freedom to speak up about it, and you can bet your azz that they will too!!
In any event....
SOLM has a window of opportunity the way I see it. A time frame to sieze proffits with their line of products, or else the big dogs will go around the outside on them, and put SOLM to sleep.
I hope SOLM implements with fervor. I love seeing the little companies muscle their way up the ranks into noteworthiness.
So, are we going to start seeing higher highs and higher lows in this stock? I'd say: It's totally dependent upon the PR flow. Management knows this, and that's why I can appreciate "Classic Car's" post. That was experience talking as a shareholder who has witnessed the changes with this company first - hand for the past 5 years.
DayTrader.... I mean "Stock Prophet", 20 to 30 days you say, before SOLM could really move? Well, strong bet that there's more PR's within that timeframe. I'd venture to say that SOLM's management team is ready to take action in the marketplace because they surely understand that window of opportunity to implement. They seem pretty darn smart to me. In my very humble opinion, that patent release yesterday painted a much bigger picture as to what's really going on here.
"great post kitty...
glad to have you on board keeping it real here
With the volume and the lack of upward share movement the company is definitely diluting."
TRANSLATED: That means you sold yesterday, and now you want to buy it back again today, under a penney a share?

SOLM buyout rumors on the YahooFinance thread.
I've searched other messageboards trying to uncover additional info, but I haven't found a thing. Take it for what it's worth. Probably B/S
Here's the links:

It's telling you, it's very possible. The news is just what the media is looking for to support the Democratic agenda. Considering the current price fivestar....
Over a dollar, "EASY".
And that's no B/S.
Probably even higher into the second day I'm sure! Some people say: "Never sell a stock until it's three or four days above 80% RSI". I'm one of them.
Hang on fivestar, things could get very fun in the nearterm.
:)
Now, we just need to get SOLM's CEO on CNBC. Then we'll really be knocking down some barriers!
Ford and Toyota sales report just released....
SOLM can help!
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9649ASG0&show_article=1
Thanks fivestar,
I got the same exact info off of FreeRealtime.com, but I find it very hard to believe that there were no trades whatsoever on this little stock in the last three minutes of crunchtime.
It wouldn't be the first time that the Market Makers ever did a dirty number. Notice the last trade for 300K shares. Was that them covering the close somehow?
Tomorrow will be interesting.
You know what....
I didn't see a single trade go through during the last 2 1/2 minutes. I think the Market Makers are painting the tape. I'll have to go check time & sales to confirm that.
Anyone else catch t hat?
Volume before price.
The question is: Will SOLM trade over 20 million shares today?
The run to .024 was the "day after the patent news release". Maybe it will push into the .03's by tomorrow.
You're as spastic as Don Knots in the movie: "The Ghost & Mr. Chicken"
I'd hate to be in a fishing boat with you Mr. Day-Popper!
What question Mr. Day-Popper?
That was the day after the patent news "Mr All-knowing Prophet"?
LOL
Duh!
Actually Ben,
All of us "LONGS" should send SOLM management the D.O.E.'s ATVM loan program link. Then atleast one of the emails might get through!!!
I think too many posters here are concerned with the play by play on this stock. This really is the right market for SOLM's product. When Nancy Pelosi and President Obama start to implement THEIR plan, stocks like SOLM will be attacked by the herd of investors that is out there which consists of people who just haven't quite yet caught on yet with where things are going to.
The American driving mindset is about to change because the auto industry is going to have to change. Why will they lean towards EV's and hybrids? Because the Federal Government has alot of fingers in their pie now, and look who's dictating policy.... The Democrats.
Al Gore certianly knows the deal. Him and his investment company have already taken positions in numerous green companies, and are still continuing to do so following Gore's initial Global Warming hype (and prior to the carbon credit scam being launched in late 2009 by Speaker Pelosi).
[The speaker disappointed environmentalists when she said earlier this month that she may not bring climate change legislation to the House floor this year because it may lack the votes needed for passage. "I'm not sure this year, because I don't know if we'll be ready," she told Capitol Hill reporters. "We won't go before we're ready."
But in the interview Wednesday, she shifted her stance, saying she plans to move the bill this year. She said she hopes to hold a vote before December, when climate negotiators gather in Copenhagen, Denmark, to work on a successor to the treaty many countries adopted in Kyoto, Japan, in 1997.]

So you see, SOLM could easily go much MUCH higher as Camronmon forsees. The outstanding shares don't mean a hoot when they pour into this stock like they did with EDIG at .13 cents a share because of it's flash memory patents. Remember the Secure Digital Music Initative???
SOLM is indeed an innovator, just as Camron stated. Play by play is a carrot on a stick when one considers the current events that are looming.
Camronmon, it's actually bigger than that.
Last night I posted a map link of the EV recharge network which has already started to take effect in L.A., SanFrancisco and Sacramento California. This infrastructure will spread like wildfire throughout the southwest, Texas, and the southeast at a cost of .10 cents a day to recharge an EV.
With Nancy Pelosi's district being in (as liberal as you can get) ChinaTown district of SanFrancisco, the sky is actually the limit on what what stocks like SOLM will be worth within the next eight years. There is very little stopping the Democrats from passing what they want to through the House and Senate.
Cha, CHA CHANGES!!!
Turn the beat around.....
SOLM is literally the one to own. BLDP sold out to Ford and Diamler-Chrysler. It appears that little SOLM just doesn't want to do that.
This stock is capable of being a zip code changer alright. The lawsuit against TOY has set a precedent that nobody else dare step foot on SOLM's patent turf. I think the contracts cometh. 2012 is far too late though.
I have no doubt that we'll have eight years of Obama. For SOLM and other publicly traded EV stocks, that is good. For national security.... I'm scared to death.
Forget waiting that long....
If ANYONE KNOWS PEOPLE INSIDE SOLM's MANAGEMENT
(please refer them to this)
http://www.atvmloan.energy.gov/
The D.O.E.'s ATVM loan program can get the implementation of all SOLM's products rolling a helluva lot faster than waiting for manufacturers to come to them. Things could easily be rolling fast if they applied during the 2nd tranch.
Look at the submissions already for the 1st tranch:
http://www.atvmloan.energy.gov/ICS.html
HaHa
Are you getting that loving "higher HIGH" feeling?
fivestar, it was a morale-busting shake by the Market Makers. We all know how ruthless they can be with these little ones.
I was running some charts last night on SOLM against their PR's over the course of 5 years, and I found some interesting parallels. I don't care how many shares are outstanding.... This little thing has the ability to get up and go with the right kind of news.
I think it's a buy and tuck rather than a quick sell.
Nice PR.
fivestar, anyone...?
Your opinion on intrinsic value with regard to the patents that SOLM currently holds??
Oh, and top of the morning to everyone! It's a nice way to wake up, but this stock certianly holds no stops with regard to surprises.
LOL
fivestar....
Please explain what a board mark is.
Thanks in advance.
5X
Via SOLM's website, they seem to be waiting for companies to come to them inorder to liscense their Multiple Input, Dual Output Electric Differential Motor Transmission System / Electric Transaxle / Electric Wheel??
That's not good enough.
It's not fast enough implementation. Look at the EV infrastructure that is growing on the west coast. This will only continue to spread throughout the southwest, Texas, and the southeast.
http://www.evchargermaps.com/?Address=Anaheim&Want=SPI%20LPI%20AVC%20OC&Zoom=9
In the latest news release the CEO stated:
"Once the technology encompassed in our patent is fully implemented, it will be possible for a consumer to drive into an automotive service center with a gas-powered car, have it converted and drive away with a PEV or HEV within hours. This concept makes former Intel CEO Andrew Grove's challenge to convert 10 million PSVs (Pickups, SUVs and Vans) by 2012 a real possibility with a tremendous, positive environmental impact."
Well, I say: Let's get on with the implementation.
There is no loss unless a person sells for a loss.
Stock Prophet, good call on .008 there. I certianly didn't expect it to happen today, infact I doubt that anyone did. Therefore I'm labeling it as a morale-busting shake.
Hey, are you the same "Stock Prophet" from RagingBull in the late 90's before Lycos bought it & ruined the fun?
WOW....
That was some bigtime tree-shaking.
When they want us to sell.
It's time to buy.
:)
Up-down, you are correct sir.
I have the same take on everything that you wrote.
Well said Ben,
Doubling, tripling, & quadrupling down on the drop. That's my strategy.
My next order will be placed above the consensus. Kitty says .008 or lower as an estimate. Au contraire, I think that's too low on the ask.
There's no bad news here.
Lowering the average price is a paramount before another PR is released.
