On the surface the motivation behind posting a fake news story that contained good news would seem to be to pump up the pps. But even if someone believed such a thing would work, they must surely have known that it would only be a temporary spike until the truth came out, which would be quite soon. And as evidenced by today's low volume thus far, the end result could predictably be the exact opposite. So my guess is that the motivation was not to help SMAS.
But sometimes Ihub only boots the duplicate poster, and leaves the original poster active. Why, I don't know. Perhaps they are unable to detect who the original is. This happened in the case I caught some years ago where the duplicate alias was a version of the original alias, but in Italian. Actually it was slightly more clever than that. The original poster was referred to by her nickname, rather than her actual alias name. She then translated her nickname into Italian, but got the spelling slightly wrong. Still it sounded like her nickname in Italian. That was a fun catch. She was so livid at being caught that she completely lost her cool and made statements proving that she was both posters.
Yes, I saw that. Thanks.
Right. I had a conversation with him yesterday and when he replied he slipped and referred to himself as "he". I asked him to explain, but got no reply. Then the conversation was deleted.
Haven't they figured out who wrote it yet?
Not any more. Lol.
SMAS is never dull! Sorry I can't respond to pm's, slojab. Nothing would surprise me. I once unmasked a poster with multiple aliases who had created her second alias by translating her first into Italian. Eventually she gave up all pretense that she was innocent and got booted.
But I can't imagine why anyone would create a false news story about SMAS or any other stock at .0001 unless they were concerned that the pps was going to rise and thought that the resultant controversy would prevent that. Or perhaps just out of boredom?
Anyway, today's events prove that SMAS is an exciting stock after all.
Yes, you make that very clear. Over and over and over. I dare say the overkill produces an effect opposite to what was intended.
Very low volume today, but the bashers are still very active over on the SMAS board, so apparently they think something is up.
Me too!
What part did you care about?
No, I meant even when I don't understand why it's nice to hear from you.
Good morning, Waitaminute! It's always nice to hear from you, even when I don't understand why.
That was fast! Lol. I had my chart set to another stock, and edited my post in like seven seconds. But you beat me to it.
Hi Talkin Smak,
Fidelity allows market orders on penny stocks, but they can only be "Day" orders or "Sell on Close" orders. However I think most brokers don't allow market orders on penny stocks.
Anyway, I'm certainly keeping my eye on this one.
Hi Pantherj. SMAS hit .0002 on three days in September, including opening at .0002 on September 15th.
Hi Kittycattttt. Yes, SMAS does indeed sometimes move. Most recently it closed at .0002 on January 7th of this year with a volume of 291 million shares, January 9th with 101 million shares, January 15th with 79 million shares, and January 20th with a volume of 158 million shares. And then of course it hit .0002 a number of times in September
You see! It can hit .0002. ;0)
Ya never know! ;0)

More like a Pearl Harbor Day surprise. ;0)
Tis the season!
You want to see negative? Wait until this thing hits .0002! ;0)
Aww.... come on. Get in the SMAS spirit. Tis the season to be jolly. ;0)
Aww... Don't you want to see the pps go up for the rest of us?
I do too. Bashers are going nuts over on the SMAS board. That's always a good sign.
Naughty Santa! Ho ho ho!
Merry SMASS !!!!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry SMAS!!
Merry SMAS everyone!
SMAS push = more like a shove ;0)
I think the SMAS stop sign was just removed today. Plus there have been recent rumors of impending news. Some are expecting a push from the company.
SMAS filed financials and the Stop Sign was removed at pinksheets.com, increasing speculation that something is about to happen.

Looking forward to the week ahead.
A very admirable post, Phirefli. Sincerely. I've been stuck in a few, and have also experienced my share of "miracles". Ya never know.
Oh, my! Well, I myself have sold out of several stocks, only to see them go up after I departed, and I know that sinking feeling. I can understand if anyone would hate to see that happen to themselves. However I never felt the need to laugh at or ridicule those who invested after I departed, nor attempted to prevent the stock from going up. And I've read posts from the two you mentioned and must say that I have been in at least one stock where they posted extensively, and despite their incessant posts, the stocks lifted off and I made a profit. It may have only gone to .0002 or .0003. I can't remember. Not that I'm saying they are always wrong. In fact, I think it was more than one stock, but I would have to do extensive research and post a whole bunch of links to their posts to prove it. So you can take my word or not. I would understand if you don't.
I just want to understand. You place the "LOLOLOLOL" in your first sentence after "more people are being sucked into this hellhole and being stuck". Do I detect Schadenfreude on your part?
Excellent! Can you name me any other ventures in which denigrating the commodity doe not increase its value?
I show SMAS hitting .0002 a number of times on volume well below a billion.
For example, on 1/7/09 on 291,637,200 shares traded
On 1/9/09 on 101,268,300 shares traded
On 1/15/09 on 79,886,850 shares traded
I'm following you. It's kind of like real estate. If sprucing up the outside of your house doesn't raise your property value, try painting ugly graffiti all over it.
That would be very altruistic. Who am I to question if an investor is more interested in the investments of others whom he has never met than in his own investment, or if IHub might be transformed into an engine of Truth? However I still wonder about the logic of attacking a stock that one wishes to sell. The theory put forward was that by attacking the stock, the company would be embarrassed into better performance, making it possible for the investor to dump his shares. Less altruistic and perhaps fanciful, but certainly creative.
