Let's just say for sake of discussion that there is interest to purchase the GO800 service by larger companies.
Yahoo does not have enough capital to make a competitive bid. Actually, Yahoo services are powered by Google through an agreement that assures Yahoo can remain in the market without overly competing with Google.
Microsoft is a possibility but it is not within their scope. They are focused in many other areas and one of their growing areas is the search engine realm. Search engines are synonymous with advertising, but not in the type that GO800 provides. Microsoft is making a half attempt at the mobile market with Windows 7, but it will be short-lived.
Google fits the bill perfectly because they are already involved in SMS-based services and are very focused on the mobile market right now. It is realistic that once GO800 has their patent and making a dent in the market, Google will consider them for acquisition.
Don't know about anyone else, but I'd say Yahoo and Microsoft have no interest while Google will have enormous interest at some point if GoIP Global continues to execute properly. It will not happen until after the patent though (this should happen this year).
I see. And do you believe this is related to the uplisting costs?
I've been passively watching since the conference call. For all out there, this is an excellent learning opportunity on how pink sheet manipulations operate, regardless of the outcome. You have people in the forum trying to manipulate it down for short purposes. You have people defending and pulling out lots of research. You have a buyout which may or may not be true. You have a huge amount of dilution. You have a legitimate business with valuable intellectual property. You have a CEO who may be looking to regain private control of his company. It's all so fascinating.
I believe this is real and any shareholders of record when the time comes will be paid $0.01 per share. However, I don't think I'll be jumping back in because my funds are elsewhere. Whichever way it goes, we'll all be the wiser from it.
Ok, that was my understanding. The post sounded as if the dilution was a fact, and I didn't see how that was possible given the circumstances of this stock. I must have misinterpreted the e-mail.
So far my understanding has been that when the MM's pump more air shares out to the market, one of their goals is to make it appear like there is dilution. For the unsuspecting, this can be effective. But in a situation where everyone who owns the float is informed, it does very little to help them.
What's the story behind the dilution? How much was it? I was under the impression that dilution would not be happening at all with CDIV.
If this hits $4-5 in the near future, that would change all the plans I had for 2010-11 before I got here. I'd have to put off a trip I had planned for a Monkinar in Portland. A good problem to have.
Mel, make CDIV pop before May 21st so that I can afford to register for this Monkinar. :)
I don't think an uplist does take that long. I'm not aware of whether that's all we're waiting on or not. In general though, an uplisting is a pretty straightforward process so long as their books aren't in complete disarray. Has anyone tried contacting them regarding it? If we're really holding 1.5 x the float, it's going to be a big sting to the shorts when the uplisting goes through.
Is the float at EIGH locked up yet?
41 trades today, probably a quarter of which were just the MM's tossing shares back and forth. A stock can not go up on 41 trades, but it can certainly go down. Until the interest comes back, we will slide.
The fundamentals have not changed, only the interest.
Congrats. How long ago did you set out and determine this was the way you planned to retire?
Looking at Level 2, I'm guessing NITE and ETMM are the usual suspects.
I'm sold on the Den. I'm sold on the leadership, the strategy, the team effort, willingness to help each other, the whole nine yards. After two weeks of absolutely nothing interesting happening with stock prices, I am more confident than ever that I found the right place.
Thanks everyone, I look forward to the travels ahead.
He's already inactive after two days. I wonder what the motivation there was?
Exciting stuff going on here. Thanks for the help!
I figured that. So that poses another question: if there are no shares to buy because the float is locked down, are they just purchasing air shares that they basically created? They would still have to pay a price for each one to cover. I'm guessing it will help alleviate the pains they are incurring, but not by much.
I'm still new here. I understand what is going on, but some of the lingo and such is still foreign to me. I don't know how to interpret that post.
Going long? As in they aren't going to give in for a while?
And let's say hypothetically that CDIV uplists, price skyrockets, and investors make a bunch of money. Then there will be millions of dollars to funnel straight into EIGH. This would lock up a lot of that float pretty quick?
Impressive timing! All 3 FLD plays finished up. I see CDIV being shook by the MM's. Are we seeing similar activity with EIGH and GRNO yet or are they just "floating" for now?

Additional Information
They weren't removed by the Mod or Assistants. Maybe it had something to do with infringement on the source, although I've never seen that before. I'll shoot an e-mail to them and see. It might be easily rectified.
On another note, when the sharks are circling it means the stock has attracted attention. If everyone simply ignores the sharks, they go away. It becomes very effective very fast. Don't entertain them and they'll lose interest.
I'm outtie for the rest of the day. GOIG is tough to watch hour to hour :) It'll be fine in the weeks to come.
Not sure why they were removed.
I gotta get through my first FLD first then I'm in. Along with a music video called "I'm on a Float" using an Autotuner.
When they use wizardry to magically create shares, you don't have to wait for someone to sell a whole block of 5000 :)
nice job. you ought to be in charge of keeping this running list updated :)
Any new news on the uplisting plans?
I sticky what I can, but I'm not always sure which one to remove to make room. I did sticky the PR.
Also, I delete clear off-topic or attacking posts, but I'm not always around to watch this board. This is a stock I have to look away from for extended periods of time so it doesn't drive me insane. Perhaps a few more assistants would be useful. Dunno.
Donezo.
No can do, it was deleted. If someone can repost it correctly, I'll sticky it. It's an important PR.
Was it actually down when you clicked on it? When I Googled (can we make Monk a verb like Google did? "We Monked the MMs") it yesterday, the 2nd search result said it was suspended. However, when I clicked on it, it wasn't. It appeared to be a cached search.
When I lived in SD, I was a big fan of Machaca burritos, especially if it was wrapped in yellow paper.
And why not right? There's so many fly by night companies on the OTC that if they shorted every single company, adding 50%-100% more airshares on top of the float, they make millions upon millions more. Even a couple they lose on such as CDIV only make a small dent in the overall profits from shorting.
That's a sign of market manipulation by the MM's. I couldn't get orders filled either.
I have never watched a stock as rock solid as this one before. The shakes happen and the investors flat out will not budge. The float lock down is just to overwhelming for the MM's to manipulate.
I really need to snag some more shares at this price. This is great.
This is a good post about another stock that has had a similar trend. It isn't ideal, but it certainly is something to identify with. Take it as good or bad. I take it as we're in a period of oscillation and we aren't alone.

I was using USAA for a very short lived time. It was way to expensive. I use Scottrade and TDAmeritrade now, but as much as I don't like NITE, TDAmeritrade is awfully restriced without a margin account. If I do well with the current FLD's, maybe I can open a margin account somewhere else.
How did that work? Were there actually settlement negotiations during the EVCC float lock down?
