This is suffering. can't wait any longer to be updated on business activities.
NERD, I emailed customer service, not shreholder relations. Someone should have responded. As a consumer, from time to time, I have had the need to contact companies regarding their products. I've never been ignored until now.
run
go ahead try. Sent them an email. could have been a german national here. they could not know the difference. My point is that my request has gone IGNORED.
Don't no why nobody cares but still no answer from gtel customer service about my request to subscribe to the Heilbronn Network
i AGREE, If i had some update that was positive (and credible) I would certainly wait.
NILREMERLIN, Why don't you call the woman and find out if they have reduced their interest
SIRIUS, YOU CANNOT BE THAT STUBBORN TO IGNORE GTEL ROLE IN THE MESS THERE IN. ONLY BECAUSE YOUR SETH STORIES MAY BE TRUE DOES'T MEAN IT HAPPENED TO GTEL. WHY ARE YOU BEING SO ONE SIDED? YOU KNOW, SOME POOR BASTARD COULD READ YOUR POST AND ASSUME YOUR SOME SORT OF STOCK EXPERT AND BUY.
Crash, we cannot come up with proof because no one here is privy to such information. But you have to admit its looks more than not there may be something not kosher over at our company. Would you at least admit to that?
It's now three business days since I emailed customer service for instructions on how to subscribe to the Heilbronn Network..........NO RESPONCE. Would someone else please try.
SIRIUS, I cannot recall the exact date but check Huff's PRs just before the Sanswire1 unveiling last year. That will show you the TRUTH about his stratelite PRs.
SIRIUS, HUFFS W-2 IN RICH.
coolhotzone, And the missed business plan has nothing to do with it? But you can blame others if you wish.
COOLHOTZONE, You keep blaming "criminals" as to why GTE got into this mess. Your wrong. GTE got themselves into this mess.
The company cannot deliver. Period. The end. Check mate.
My worst fear is that there will be "criminals" found in GTE, not on wall street or publications.
"Many blame the AMEX and a few journalists for the situation that Globetel faces. Whether or not if that is true, GTE has done a pretty good job of digging their own hole without the help of any conspirators"
WHAT YOU WROTE IS NOT YOUR OPINION, IT IS FACT. ALL THE BLAME ON OTHERS IS CHILDISH. GTEL HAS NOT DELIVERED. PERIOD.
pittbull74: been following your posts since your claims a few months ago that the russian deal was going to happen because you knew people. In light of what you last wrote about Set and crew ans murdoch and other heavies who have much to lose if gtel fails. These theories MAY be true BUT, if GTEL delivered on one of its MANY "irons in the fire", for what now year and half?.......... that would have taken a lot of ammunition away from your co-conspirators.
Nothing from Mexico
Nothing from India
pennies from Brazil
Germany beginning to look like a show for AMEX
Strat? nothing.
Air Dragon? What was that again!
Not to mention all the other projects we have heard throughout the past several years.
You want to change what happening despite your Murdochs(and by the way what an as_hole he is)? GTEL must deliver and soon!
Run
Lab, looks like we're right smack in the middle of this new technology. Lets see if we can sell it now. Your thoughts?
vkoenig, They have been building bridges to nowhere for a long time. Where's the outrage?.......No body cares. When the country votes Ronald Reagan to be the greatest american, we deserve it.
"G-CASH" ISN'T THAT US?
vkoenig, It is the traders who work the exchange who purchase seats giving them the right to trade share on the exchange. What fees the corporations, whos shres are traded, pay I have no idea.
Lets be conservative and then say 3 per household instead of 2.5.
that equals 40,000 housholds if we get 10% of them that 4,000 accounts at what, $40per month at least? so that's $160,000 per month 1,920,000 per year. anyone want to speculate on the costs?
Customer serv salaries
Technicians Sal.
Rent
Advertising
utilities
Nerd, 120,000 people but does anybody know how many households?
How many accounts are you forcasting 12,000 accounts?
Mt Big, Don't know here. It depends how the accountants accounted for the build out costs. Costs may have been written off to COGS and or capitalized as a fixed asset.
sirius, There is nothing in there to suggest that sanswire will be used. SO FAR we only know that the type of arial platform will be portable. I would only hope that they would consider it but at this point there is no evidence AT ALL that they are considering SANSWIRE. I do read that they want existing tech. apparently they want this up soon.
RUN.
ps nice try though
nilremerlin,
I sent you this article the other day on the other board. When I meant when I said Boeing wont be using H. A. platforms I was referring to our technology. According to the NY Times article they will be using air surveilence but not the type that GTEL could provide. The following is an excert from the article published on 9/20/06:
Northrop Grumman had proposed using an unmanned aerial vehicle, a drone known as the Global Hawk, that flies as high as 65,000 feet for up to 34 hours, to help monitor the border. Each vehicle can cost tens of millions of dollars.
Lockheed Martin had proposed using, among other tools, a high-altitude balloon known as a tethered aerostat that flies at up to 15,000 feet and, weather permitting, can be left up for a long time.
The Boeing proposal includes small, relatively inexpensive unmanned aerial vehicles that can be launched from a pickup truck by an agent in the field and then fly for, perhaps, 90 minutes. These vehicles could help apprehend illegal immigrants, but they would not be routinely used to monitor large stretches of the border
jfburk, Sirius! When GTEL becomes a household name then you can justify your comments. Yes I understand your points but they are wrong. When my mother-in-law knows what gtel is and it's still trading where it is and has better financial statements than Sirius your point will be correct. Negative? believe me long on gtel is not being negative.
I'm glad I did not stumble on your posts comparing GTEL to sirius when I first found out about stock message boards while deciding to buy more shares.
Grapes, according to an article yesterday they will not be using high altitude platforms.
nERD, JUST RESPONDING TO HIS POSTS. KEEPS HAMMERING AWAY ABOUT THE POSITIVE FINANCIALS. And I'm taking him to task not to see if he can borrow money with the financials but what his professionals' opinion of the financials are.
We all know that a bank won't touch it.
jfburk, Paying attention to the finacials is why mainstream Wall Street is skeptical about GTE. We get money because certain investors, including us, have a hope that this will take off. But let's have fun you and I, shall we? Print out the last three years of financial reports and take it to your bank, your accountant, stockbroker. Don't hype the company and do as you say: "pay attention to the F/S", and tell me what they say.
jfburk, I cannot beleive what you write. If I have a great idea and want to start a business how would I do it without capital? I would borrow or seek out others to contribute an equity interest. If I need money to fund operations, rent utilities, Admin. salaries, etc., because my revenue cannot, and not able to, yes my friend I will go out of business. If you can tell me a way this won't happen I would be very entertained to read your method.
Now having said that, when a potential lender, investor or VC such as the ones from last week decide on wether to lend a start up money, they consider the risk. Since the terms seemed quite favorable, i.e. .37 share price upon conversion. They condidered this a risk that they were willing to take.
The positive outlook one would take from analysis of the latest F/S is ignored by a lender/investor. They would read the auditors report which in writing tells a investor/lendor, and I am paraprasing: " without funding in the very near future, we are conserned with the viability of the company"
So please read the enitre F/S including the notes and auditors reports
DANIELLE,
Yes very small if you project from an analysis of the latest financials. So therefore we can expect one of two things. An announcement of additional funding, or 3qtr. results that looks A LOT better than the 2nd Qtr.
JFBURK, Of course the 1.1m that investors put in is a good sign. Without it Gtel would be out of business.
jfburk, compare all you want. I would not COUNT on it.
JFBURK, Sirius is one in a million and has become a household name. To dispute the naysayers with that comparision is beyond hopefull.
Mt Bigsky, I don't know, but wouldn't SEC discloser rules supersede AMEX rules. IMO a contract for wireless coverage would be a material event. So my guess is that they have a working metro area pilot working but so far there are no takers for it. Thoughts on that anyone please.
NERD, When Huff wrote the Russian Deal PR did he say that the company entered into a BINDING contract or will enter into a binding contract. I don't remember.
skunk:
Yes you are correct about the hype on the Strat. And yes we will not see revenue from it for a long time. But we have not heard anything from the company or media about the other divisions in a long time.
gilbert The funds are being used to pay for:
And not limited to:
Rent
office supplies
Employee compensation
insurance
travel
telephone
Light, heat and power
OFFICERS' SALARY
direct costs of good sold.
The doors have to be kept open first before they earmark the funds for special projects, don't you think?
Correct orlander,
Per the last F/S they are losing approx 4mil a quarter and on 7/1/06 they were neg 2mil in the whole on their Bal. Sheet. So unless there is another funding (and soon) this is an improvement.
I must say the financial intelegence leval here is not the highest. How did posters here think they were going to fund there losses!!!
jfburk,
No need to be defensive. You implied that you did not know what they were doing with the money. Obviously, by analysis of there financial statements they need a lot of money to avoid insolvency. That being said, the amount of the funding is clearly not enough if you project out the last reported figures. That means one of two things. 1) They will be another filing like today's or 2) They are generating revenue on their own. :>).
run
JFBURK,
The money is funding there operations. No secret here. What else do you think it could be used for?
