Fletch
Some think funds are bland...not this one....it's closed tho...
Hey wahz,
Stand down......is that like sell them??....err all or a trim?
Your are going to ride out the storm tho? 300 day even? ....wahz ....Pain?......
Fletch
Anyone like cup with handle breakouts?.. :>) ..Sure with a big Gap up near 10.....YES!
Hey dis,
No, in Roth IRA's the $ is after tax going in, so you don't have to pay any taxes, even on the withdrawals.
Fletch
Yes,
That's it...thanks a bunch Gottfried,
Fletch
Cause they are in England (where the girls love wahz <g>) morning or mid day very possible........no?

Hey Bale,
LOL, I went to the BKHM site too.....I used to have earnings report.com or something like that but new PC kinda removes all those good but not easily remembered links.
I'll look some more,
Fletch
Hope so too dieselfuel,
You know....the BKHM chart is forming a wedge.....they can break up or down but up most likely....earnings have been getting better. If it stays around that $3.10 area, it'll form the pivot point tip on the chart. I've left this a partial play so I can add more....if needed. Thanks for the earnings alert tho.
GO BKHM,
Fletch
Nope......should have tho....it might have more left in it.
Fletch
Thanks dieselfuel,
The COVD chart just looked ready. I was lucky enough to up a little today but was up over 2% at one time. ITXC, HLIT, MRVC, SUNW and others helped.....added a little more BKHM.
Fletch
HLIT a chugger!
Hey Chris,
Did you buy COVD?
Fletch
<<<<The new Murphy book is fascinating. I think it's a must read for us all.>>>>
I'm going to buy it...............if you recommend it,
Thanks Bits,
Fletch
Bits,
I really like this board because it tries to focus on what to be in......my favorite. We are a very mature group, in that most have lots of market experience. We aren't going to teach each other kindergarten or sand box here <g>. I try to bring thoughts to the board and wonder where my buddy wahz finds some of his fundie info stuff. I wish I had bought back RFMD now but can't second guess myself. You are right, the bull might not have ever ended....a real cool thought...
Fletch
Just wish my port didn't see the bear demise much sooner.....LOL
Ahh...I know....I just need and want a crystal ball..........nah...buy the wahz picks..good enough....he's from the future you know.....that wahz guy.....he knows......<G>....wahz...the next generation
Hey Bits,
I'm here to agree....and not to disagree... I'm not sure about anything bear...bull except.....I really want a bull market in what I'm in <VBG>....+ LOL. I just was pointing out the difference in how the NAZ, SnP and Dow reacted to a bad market environment.
Yes, the NAZ was way more extreme! Lets both just hope "they" over compensated for the bubble. "They" being the Fed....ect.
May the wahz picks run like HELL!
Fletch
I liked TQNT long ago....look into them......BOARD!!..wahz? ...post findings..I like them but not in yet. From 4 to 9 not bad for a POS....special cell phone chips...earnings up too......
TXCC too????????? We can only hold so many...a fund already.....
PS Go Chevy at the Daytona...
A couple more longer term charts for your viewing pleasure......
Fletch
Cup with handle formation but with very looooooong bottom base.....
One that makes cell phone chips...................check recent earnings...

Hey Bits,
Boy do I wish I was in the Dow during that bear instead of what I was in......ng...but no sense crying over spilt milk. The SnP and Naz both show a much different bubbulish picture....don't they? I think it's real tough to look far into future but think we may just be buying the breakout's first pull back LOL.
Buy the dip,
Fletch
Head and Shoulders......nah....we at right shoulder height now....already.
Technology.......still has more to offer....if you pick right IMHO ;>)....Hold 2000!
The Dow did fall 30% but nothing like the 5:1 Naz compression....
Hi Linda,
Yes, I have some Sun. I don't think they'll be a huge winner but who knows.....

Hey Chris,
It's amazing how much work and effort goes into the market....One reason I love just letting the wahz stuff take over my ports.......I know why...it just makes sense. I really don't know more about COVD then what I've already posted.... I do vividly remember a very stern scolding from a fluffy little white doggie, years ago, on the Motley Fool <BG>. I try not to judge others for mistakes and really try to see only the good. We ALL have some good....I think.....bad too...but we are all human...so much a like.....The COVD chart looks good right now....I most likely won't buy any tho....I only buy real good stuff or try too,
Fletch
But the COVD chart can run....very tempting LOL......
Hey Chris,
I don't own any COVD but I'm thinking in it....looking at the chart....The CEO told them that it was insider info.....that they'd be doing better soon...that is.....I was just passing it on. I'm very glad I do have some tech inside news coming my way now. My son in-law told me to sell RHAT (which I'm in from much lower...below 8 on his tip) and buy NOVL.......the wahz pick......I never will pump anything and just mentioned COVD....My little brother is always asking me which funds to put his 401K money into....no stocks for him....yet. I'm trying to get him into a Roth, in a low fee account (I use Buyandhold 2.99 a trade for some $), to buy wahz stuff but.....Vanguard OK longer term too. He's only 39......but has already saved a lot.... :) just like me....
Best wishes,
Fletch
Hi Chris,
My youngest brother did some contract work for Covad. He said that in a meeting, the CEO told them they were "going to do very well soon" but didn't give them any real details. The chart does look ready for an entry to me and it's under the telecom or broadband umbrella. BTW, baby brother is going to do some work for KLAC soon. Between him and my son in-law at SUNW......... :)
Fletch
In edit: I can't call him for more info right now....he's off on a cruise. He mentioned it, so am I.
A rolling top....or getting ready to move up further.....????
Hey wahz,
Your strategy to buy with a good entry and hold is very much to my liking. Working more then full time, I can't watch or do much trading anyway. There are several mistakes that can be made by traders....myself included. Some trading knowledge I've picked up on over time is...... The tendency to sell the strongest plays you have.....and of course, they keep on going up. Soon you don't follow them anymore because it's just too painful to watch. By selling the strong ones, some "traders" are left with a portfolio of losers.
I myself need to block the compulsion to catch falling knives <ng>. The tendency here is to buy once strong plays that fall out of favor and then the need to wait for a long base to play out or a reversal, just to extricate yourself. Many times I think I'm selling high and I am and buying back at support, which I do....then they keep falling. Then what does a trader do? Trading really isn't easy, especially if you can't watch.
What I try to do is buy an over size position first with a good entry. I trim some like maybe 1/4 of it after it's runs up a little, to give myself a cushion. Hopefully it keeps going up and I'll sell another 1/4 position possibly on a spike up. If you can wait with cash....very hard to do btw, you might buy some back if it falls. Stocks due tend to trade in ranges or boxes with steps up and or down. The boxes can also be slanted up or down. Enough of this.....it's not easy or we'd all be billionaires lol.
Now, I really don't know who this wahz guy is but I think heaven sent him. He has a sense of humor, knows the market, picks great stuff and shows a wonderful emotion.....compassion.....he really wants to help.
Much easier to just hold now,
Fletch
PS My brother did some work with COVD.....The CEO said they will be doing much better very soon....just a thought....
Hey wahz,
If we do get to the 2120 to 2250 area or the "promised land", should we trim a bit there? In all your projections, trimming back would add to the overall profit picture, just don't trim right now....right? The reason I'd like your input on this, is just for agreement. In the bear...selling rallies and waiting for a market flush to buy, was the way to go. Now, in a bull, holding is much easier on the sole but tougher to take on these pull backs. It is tough to time the market, especially when news can send it higher and your left watching, afraid to chase. Patience is easily spoken and much harder to learn.
Your thoughts,
Fletch .....Looks like 2000 is some strong support....gap waiting above <g>.
1450 NDX looks like it's equal to the 2000 comp above.......
All of our opinions count...you listened and spread the news.....
Thanks again,
Fletch
PS I work, so posting from me is limited to "night duty". Wish I could help more....
OK you talked me into it......at least for now.... ,
Holding Fletch .............I trimmed a bit tho :)
Hi Bits,
Thanks..... So we really shouldn't expect a real big run on NENG anytime soon, unless the overall market goes bonkers.......
Fletch .......not a bad chart tho...kind of a wedgie...like those blue E's pointing up...;>)

wahz,
I think it's comical of you to let a free for all go on this weekend. I myself won't get worked up...I do that at work too much already. Women...ah yes...but all in the mind now :( ng, except for the wife, who I have fun with regularly <ggg>. Politics is very tough + different opinions are OK with me.
Never a grudge,
Fletch
Congrates on calling the telecom suppliers wahz....NT earnings was very good for us.....VBG...
Thank You,
Fletch
Big gap on it now but lots of gaps left behind this past year! Go BKHM, CIEN, AMCC....

Fletch ...might be that WHT gold play I'll hold onto. WOW..I should be up 40% still??? No margin either! AH tonite... :)
<<<<<this is VERY important for BKHM..have any...yet??:>)>>>>>
Yes....Yes.....today I scooped up some BKHM.....more NENG too.
Lucky,
Fletch
wahz,
You are doing a real great job with the board and the picks. Please try and not to feel too responsible. Hopefully we are all big grown adults and I'm very happy to have this board, I really like it myself (guys have a real tough time saying they love something). The pull backs now are nothing compared to the great bear. At least there is hope for the bulls and your leading that bullish charge. The running of the bulls.....by wahz....NENG, JDSU, AMCC, AVNX, FNSR, CIEN, SCMR, ect.......
cya,
Fletch
PS....I LOVE IT......
Hey bits,
I know it won't be as painful as that 200 day comp chart shows and that a long rolling top can bring it up. That 200 day at 1800 does look mighty scary tho huh? He does mention the 300 day too.......ouch! Makes me think of going mostly to cash and wait with low bids......but he says to err on the bullish side so......???
Fletch
Thanks on the space pics....Yes...I think they are real cool..
wahz,
You have been saying not to trade but these "small" pull backs have been somewhat painful. I can imagine the 200 day hit taking away all the gains and then some. Is there a couple you think should be held and a couple that might be weak? My guess is to hold NENG and HLIT. I'll let you come up with the ones to let go, if you have some.
Thanks,
Fletch .....We also make a new high before we drop????
Proof that not all wedges break up.....market didn't help.
Hey Linda,
OCCF wedge may just be starting to form.....the wide price fluctuation stage now but it must narrow down. Here is one to possibly buy.....a classic wedge. I call the wedge center the pivot....it should break out above the pivot to confirm it's going up.
Fletch ...On this I'd use 3 as the pivot point. This pick is from the rumor mill and or BigCharts.
Hi Linda + dieselfuel,
<<<<<The threads there are suggesting it's all technical, due to the chart, and short covering. That doesn't really cut it for me, but I don't have access to all those rumor sites and that's probably where the action is.
Linda>>>>>
Thanks for the compliments but no rumor mills in my life lol. My post said that most wedges break up. It's a chart formation showing price compression that forms the bullish wedge. Here is another one. See if you can see it.
Best Wishes,
Fletch .....some break down tho......
One may form on this fiber play.
Not up to new highs yet but very close....
Fletch
Come on BDH & IGN lol.....way above that green IXIC thing line...NENG, HLIT and JDSU <ggg>.
Hi wahz,
Just want to show a chart or two here.... Wedges mostly break up, so..............
Longer wedgie on this nano
A wahz play wedging up....
A real recent runner.....
Hey wahz,
Was today our double top or do you see a different higher road now?
This one still looks bullish but that comp chart has reverse wedge.
Hey Linda,
I guess wahz has tipped me off to get AMCC and JDSU in the last month or two. It seemed he knew what I had from my posts or it might have just been a general better get into message for the board. Either way it worked and I'm in them heavy. He posted that he wishes he was into RHAT and SUNW, ones I've been behind some in the past. I'm just posting what I have and if there is a possible 5 plus bagger I'm lacking and to let me know.
I think it's cool your following the wahz port to the letter and I'm sure you'll be very richly rewarded. For me it'll be difficult to go 100% wahz plays. Some I've had a long time (years) like MAXF, JNJ, KKD, SBUX and others I think still have lots of upside left in them. We'll see lol.
Interestingly, I use Reuters as one of my fundamental and news sites. Most of what wahz has is rated low risk although QCOM is rated medium. Try it yourself....... http://tinyurl.com/3each
or the regular link....
