I am there. It is good for long term investment.
I would never do anything but day trade with VRU* at this point.
Well said.
May all your charts be green!
But again, it is all based on perception of the company.
And Tesla has had several profitable quarters.
Investors see a big name company, with a big name CEO, and they want to buy that stock.
Yes, dilution is an essential part of a growth company, but that is not what VRU* is at this point. Maybe next year (Q2 or so).
Yes, I am serious. Growth companies have the revenue to create a positive operating income to support the dilution.
Maybe next year we can get there and get our PPS (and EPS) up after a RS.
The problem with this company is they seem to continuously keep themselves in debt with more and more acquisitions. This can be a good thing in the future, but if they dig their debt hole too deep, they won't be able to get out of it.
Yes, I'm aware they are pushing shares into the open market (increasing the OS) to pay off debts, but the market cap is not calculated based on existing debt or revenue. It is the market share price times the OS, so as the number of shares in the open market increases, the share price tends to drop (they become more "common" and people have no problem selling them off. ), and the market cap doesn't change much. If the company maintains a positive operating income, and maintains a positive perception of the company, the share price goes up. If one person held all the shares, they could dictate any price they want.
As you know, the market price is entirely based on perception of the company (after its initial SEC valuation - public offering, which is a direct reflection of the net worth of that company).
The big differences here are Tesla OS is less than 1B (~931M, and the float is only ~742M shares). Our OS is quickly approaching 5B. Our shares are worth so little they flow like water, so it will be difficult to ever get much above $0.01, and if it does, it will quickly drop as day traders place market sells.
Tesla is also a household name. I have seen their cars on the street, I have never seen anything in person that says "Verus International" on it.
Don't get me wrong, I am still hopeful, but I have been day trading long enough to know penny stocks are not for long term investing.
What tweet?
I've read the Nestbuilder filings. They don't explain why they don't have a website or ticker.
What happened to Nestbuilder?
I have some of those shares from when this was RBIZ.
Nestbuilder never appeared to go public, so I have these worthless shares in my portfolio.
That sounds like good news. I look forward to that. Thanks.
When do you expect their operating income to be a positive number?
"Penny stock exempt" and QB certification are two different things. Penny stock exempt is SEC nomenclature / requirements. QB certification is purely OTC market requirements.
https://www.otcmarkets.com/corporate-services/get-started/otcqb
So, what are your thoughts on their QB certification?
They will need to meet a $0.01 price test to maintain the QB status, which I think is due at the end of this month.
Also what are your thoughts on the sharp decrease in float percentage recently due to the increase in OS? What effect do you think it will have on volatility? The OTC web page has not up-dated the float data recently, so it may still be ~74% that it was on their last QB certification filing.
Not bad. Same as etrade.
The more I read about TD and their thinkorswim platform, the more I like it better than etrade.
etrade has their "Pro" platform, but I don't trade often enough to get it for free.
Are OTC market trades $0 on TD?
On etrade it is not.
Sounds like I need to open a TD account.
I was thinking about doing that anyway.
I will message etrade and ask them if they have anything similar.
Thank you. Any other ways to get L2 data?
I don't think etrade has that feature (please correct me if I'm wrong).
I tried just looking at the OTC web page for this ticker, but their "real time" quotes leave something to be desired, as they only show one entry per broker, I can't see very far up or down the Ask or Bid stack.
May I ask what service you use to see that?
etrade isn't giving me updated info as fast as I would like.
I LOVE WRITING IN BOLD CAPS!
Sounds good. I'll try it.
I'll order one and try it. Thanks for letting me know.
Can you still taste the peanut flavor, or is it over-powered by the spice? is it a roasted peanut flavor or more subtle?
That sounds good too. I may get one of those also.
I wonder how spicy it is? I like it hot.
I was thinking about ordering the Honey Chipotle myself. It sounds like an interesting flavor combo with the peanut butter.
I think the Espresso would be great in ice cream, or banana based smoothie (maybe throw a little caramel in there too).
No problem. Happy to help people learn.
Brokerage firms can buy at fractional prices. T-Form (FINRA Form T) trades are brokers trading back and forth to cover orders and make money by buying shares at slightly less than a full tick and selling (sometimes to investors on their own platform) at a full tick or higher price.
There is nothing nefarious about the process. It is not "dilution" as you call it. Dilution comes from the company moving shares from the AS to the OS.
He seems to be confusing broker to broker T-Form trades with service provider moderated share pushes from the AS to the OS (open market) by the company.
Some people seem to think any time the price goes down it's "dilution". Although there has been some dilution in the recent past as the company pushed shares into the open market (increasing the OS number).
Yes. Lets hope that is the case.
Those were forward splits. They created more shares and divided the price of existing shares accordingly with SEC approval. They rarely have a large effect on trading activity.
Reverse splits create a condition were the bottom is gone, and investors will typically sell until a new bottom is created, so if you owned the stock when the reverse occurred, you will lose money unless you sell immediately.
What makes you think it's a "scam"?
All penny stocks operate this way. They are not for long term investment.
Absolutely! Especially if they time the company news just right, and the anticipation of the quarterly builds the price so we get a spike on the quarterly release.
Keep your glass half full of green!
I think we'll hit 0.01 before that, maybe in the next 2 months. That's only a 5X increase in price, which is pretty easy to do.
But I think it will come down quickly after that, and then it is time to buy more before the next spike.
Again, just my opinion.
I have noticed...
Not that you asked me, but when looking at the share price on a 5 year scale, there is a clear ~1 year cycle to this stock for some reason. We are in a low part of the cycle now, and it's a good time to buy. There are many small spikes during the low part of these cycles. The next high (0.015 or higher) cycle would be next August or so.
Some of the fast price drops in the past (including recently) appear to coincide with the company pushing shares from the AS into the OS as a market sell, which causes a quick price drop (because they are trading at the bid price). These events appear to always be used to pay for new acquisitions or pay bills.
I myself am a day trader, but will generally hold for several months if needed.
I have a good position at the moment in this stock ($20K at 0.0016) and will look for the next price spike and rollover to sell. Then take that profit and (after setting aside some for taxes) try to re-buy at a price of 0.002 or lower.
We have a higher OS than we have ever had before on this stock, so the next high cycle will not be as high as previous years.
Just my opinion.
We're buttered up and ready to run!
Sometimes you don't even need 2 to make nut butter!
Yep, it was a fire sale deal.
Literally- They are in Portland, OR
Great because they are in Portland?
Companies are scrambling to get out of that craphole city. You can buy em cheap, but actually getting any work done there is the question.
Maybe we can slide into the 0.0030's tomorrow with that nut butter!
What the heck is "Adult Nut Butter"?
Is this some kind of sex jelly?
I agree. He's even too cheap to get a new service provider so he can catch up on OTC filings.
I agree. And modern cars have Bluetooth connections already, so they could access the OBD-II data and send it to a phone without the need for a dongle.
All common shares, including the reserved, come from the AS authorized during the initial SEC valuation.
