Hey I'm all for trimming the fat- just wonder at what expense. I agree sorta about traders looking for a bottom- but those 20 million share days and the big blocks [nearly 2 mil each] under the bid last two days points me to dumping at a pre determined price . But we both agree- seeing the share structure will/would be welcomed!
From the radio interveiw- MR PA said they are basically disolving 7 of the 22 curent companies. So downsizing I guess to 15 companies. I wonder what the terms of the" disolving" are? Golden parachute, or the like- Also seems like the united soil deal wasn't exactly as was originally proposed. Also don't know if there are any holdover shares from the original shell owners- Romac gold. Lotta speculation but not a lot of solid info. The share price seems to suggest dilution by the company or someone affiliated with them, But as always- never know with pinks and imo .
Wonder if the downsizing of some of the aquisitions has led to selling by some of the former players. Seriously wondering if this "holding" company has sprung a leak. IMO ofcourse .
err I forgot this was the confessional-
I confess that
Mike I got nothing- I'm the biggest skeptic when it comes to pinks- If a pink says we sell water and it's wet. I say show me. Well , yesterday I decided to do the due on SLJB and got a bucket of water dumped over my head. But, I need to see it in my hands before I can feel comfortable sharing. Not trying to be evasive. Just want to be sure. I figure Party is a good guy to bounce things off so I did.err am going to.
OT. Party- sorry was scrambling to get in during hapy hour for the PM. Meant to say the specialist brokered the 2 blocks. I was really suprised and encouraged by that. Hopefully get the packet Saturday. Will send as soon as I have it scanned. Thanks again!
I confess this is my last alloted post and I was gonna save it to ask Partysasquatch to pm me with his email so I could share some info about SLJB I found out from the "stadium" guys here in Tampa.
But I must stick up for my beloved mustangs!
SMU class of 83'
BTW Rozer had me rolling on the PBLS board and Damn it I'm complaining-
to someone
Ok fair enough [ nice first post btw]
So as a long time investor and after saying these things
"will they file the form 10 this year no"
"will they give a share structure this year no"
What is going to turn this PPS around in your opinion? Or are you content to wait a year or so to see an apropriate share price?
I think you have a good handle on the situation but in short - what will compel new money to invest in PBLS? And maybe more importantly- what will keep disallusioned longs from moving to other opps?
Do you think PBLS should offer the financials of Rome oil and gas and maybe pro-gas and certainly the pit?
I mean wouldn't that at least show some good faith?
Or as others have speculated- there really isn't that much/ any good financial news to release?
What do you think PBLS monthly payroll expenses are? How about insurance? how about the 6% dividend and other loan agreement provisions , any idea what they cost? How about the cost of drilling equipment and actually test hole drilling [ whenever that is]?
To me it seems like PA owes shareholders alot more than asking for shareholder help fighting mean old market makers and those shirtless shorts. If I remember correctly- the shareholders are to blame for screwing up the jet dealy- now he needs those rascally shareholders help?
Nice!
Yeah my huge holdings [100k] normally I try and buy in thirds and then double up at the bottom. I just can't justify holding even for a trade posiibility. As far as Friday- That's pure frustration call on my part. But if you noticed my previuos posts- I said .03 wouldn't hold- and I said .02 wouldn't hold and a test of .013 is likely. Now I believe unless PA ungags and comes clean with the shareholders PBLS will easily go subpenny. That's just my opinion and I'm sure you and many others don't agree with me. That's what makes a market. So good luck and you can surely get the last laugh on me if your buying is proven to be wise.
Lol. I bet Ron's new car is faster than any of the "new" jets.
Maybe PBLS can start putting on air shows at the well sites. Maybe do some stunt flying. I bet lotta folks out west would pay to see this flying circus up close!
I would think the company will prop this up a little with the next PR and try to run it with a little buying action of their own. But IMO it will be short lived . I think .02 is doable but longer term I don't think the bottom is nearly in. Thanks for the well wishes. Lots of good people here so wish only the best for you all.
Seems like with PBLS "no news" is actually good news up til now. Maybe things will turn around >
OT no offence taking- I was doing the same- Glad some took advantage of the buyback- Hope the company does right by you all.
I think tommorrow you'll get the jet thingy PR. [If it's still on] I think a lot are waiting for the next pr [ err next PR with some kinda ivestor info that is usable] and I think there may be some strong selling into any strength. imo
Best of luck and no hard feelings!
You're a good soldier
Take a packet of sugar free cherry out of the rations box.
My compliments!
Already sold at 100k @ .0155 at 2:29 pm est.
Don't worry- you'll get your fill tho. imo
Certificates and new Porches for all. Not financials and ungagged T/A.
Brilliant!
Yeah I was stunned. I loved him in spinal tap and in the Godfather part II . Really a great talent.
err OT
Wow thanks! Wish I had that on a tee shirt . Cool graphic!
It means there will be a hard bottom coming likely by Friday-
It means the company is hoping the investors here are dumber than they are
It means the company doesn't have anything coming up PR wise or otherwise to support the share price
It means they likely were selling shares to fund the buyback and now are looking for investors to shrink the float so they can resell and refill the coffers
It means that audited numbers and ungagged T/A are not in the 'very soon" timeframe-
It means I'm out at .0155 and watching for sub penny bottom..
All ofcourse in my opinion only.
Where's the kool aid stand when you need one?
I confess I have my hand has been assualted by the aforementioned horny toads . Sticky slimmy mess.

Love these quotes
"We're not aware of any toad-licking problems," said Sparks police Lt. Tim Gonyo, who heads the unit. "As far as we're aware of, toad-licking has not hit Washoe County."
However, it is not against the law to own a Cane toad. a favorite of aquarium afficionados. "If you had a toad. we would have to prove you were licking it on purpose, or you had given it to someone to lick on purpose," Sager explained.
' Officer I was not licking this toad I was only holding it for a friend '
I confess I may have licked one toad too many

Your scout looks like he's been in the jungle before. Looks like he'd work pretty cheap too! Coffee and donuts by the look in his err it's eyes.
Thanks again!
Thanks - I have been planning this in hope it would happen and you are right it is dangerous to be there. As with Costa Rica I plan on not venturing far from the friendlier cities.

Intersting link for when your bored.
If they have wireless at the Madagascar Hilton I'll send everyone a virtual hissing roach to the board.
lol-- well until help arrived. I think it was a well padded moving type truck,
Yeah madagascar hissing roaches- They were actually imported here for a short time. They are realy big and make a hissing sound when you pick them up.
The only way to import is to apply for permits to each goverment US an whomever] and the state you wish to import them to. I had the help of the San Diego zoo because of earlier success breeding Kleinman's tortosies- [ worlds smallest tortiose- lays 1-5 eggs half the size of a robbins egg] As far as the rest of the produced animals I place them with the zoos who help me obtain permits. [ Zoos have the best connections but lack the best facilities for breeding most reptiles] The other frogs I keep and breed and sell the babies. From the sales of frogs I basically pay the expences of all the projects and upkeep I have going. The trip to Madagascar will cost me around 85k when factoring the cost of aquiring the animals into the budget.
He he. In Tampa several years ago [ maybe still today too] kids [teens mostly] would catch toads in the drainage/retention ponds that are in most every subdivision, [ except in the realestate world they are called lakes , sigh] A certain imported toad- marine toad secretes a milky substance from right behind each eye when you irritate the area or toad in general. Well those darn teens would then lick the toad ! [ insert own joke here ]. Turns out that the toads packed a whallop . One kid at a reptile show I was attending told me he was driving home after licking his toad and about 5 minutes later the bridge he was driving over appeared to meld with the ocean . He stopped the car in the middle of the bridge and waited for help. I think in Miami I read that kids on the weekend nights would stop and pick up toads on the side of the road and lick them- I think several [teens] ending up getting hit by traffic- the toads no doubt survived to tell future generations .
Afternoon bottom call-- UGH! nevermind
I'm thinking/hoping there is a pr tommorrow announcing the jet deal closing and also letting the investing community know what the plan is.
Otherwise- .013 looks likely, hopefully not below.
The tortoises [ 3 different spider tortoise varities] are already in townsfolks backyards- I'll probably be able to choose from 300 to get my allotted 50prs . These tortoses were displaced by the last 3-5 yrs of agriculture developements. They are highly endangered and yet The US and most other countries make it illegal to import them even tho they will likely die or be eaten in their home country. We [US] tell all these rainforest countries not to deplete their natural resources but we don't give then any financial incentive not to. As far as the other reptiles and amphibians- There are a couple guides who will round up some locals [ mostly kids] to collect my quota limit. I am hoping to have all the specimens ready to go in 10 days. Theoretically I am able to collect these reptiles and amphibians for breeding purposes with hope that I can send back a percentage of the offspring to their native country for reintroduction and repopulation. In actuality- There is not much hope that the habitats will be the same and enough to support them in the 7-10 year time frame I project. Hows that for a long winded post?
Wow great pic! That is one of the coolest frogs from Madagascar - The golden Mantella- even tho it looks much more like it shoulda been named an orange mantella. That is one of the frogs I currently have in a breeding colony- They are really cool frogs- lay their eggs in wet moss in a bunch [ spawn]. They are ugly brn at first then really color up after they eat a bunch of fruit flies and diffent bugs. You are indeed Columbo of the boards! err Misses Columbo?
Sorry for the late reply- I've been waiting for 4 yrs to get the OK to collect some rare torosoises , frogs, geckos and hopefully chameleons from the mainland and a couple isles. I could go on and on and err you get the picture- I'm damn excited to get a chance at this!
I confess- we are talking about two different movies.
I was refering to "Inlaws"
Yikes - were there giant insects in King Kong remade too?
Always remember- when running from trouble whether it be hitmen or prehistoric thingies- serpentine is the preffered method.
OT- Hey MWC didn't know you were back. Thanks for the pm! Was great to hear from you. Really look forward to reading your posts. Thanks for all the good DD.
That is a great story ! King kong wasn't wearing a donkey kong outfit followed by jack black in an organ grinders suit by any chance?
Worst thing about no liquids on flights anymore is that that was my best way to "bring" certain creatures home with me. [ those that were in tadpole form I would put in a bottle of drinking water- half full of water other air- ] I imagine anyone upon closer inspection of my bottled water would probally make a mental note NOT to drink the water in Paraguay.
According to my CITES permit. I should offer one ox to the malagasian "mayor" as a tribute for the tortoises I'm bringing back. Hopefully I can buy an Ox there rather than fly with one from Tampa. I'm thinking an ox might take like a whole row of seats.
Hope to catch up with you sometime when your in the bay area. You can come see the facility - chase or be chased by a few reptiles or amphibians.
Hey Chapter- I'm heading to Madagascar first week of September[ terrorists willing] Hopefully one of those Giant Titzi flys won't grab me a fly off into the sunset clutching my tiny brown body in their beaks.
Why they ever thought to remake that movie is dumbfounding.
Enjoy your posts as always.!
Well if the company is now actually buying on the open market I don't see the pps getting above .022 for quite awhile- I think a test of .013 is looming. But as is always disclaimed in pinky land ' Ya just never know"
A bank signature guarantee would do the trick. Congrats!
Well you pulled off a perfect "crime" [flip might be a better term] Hopefully evrything on your signature and explanation letter is satisfactory. I know when I had to turn in BOA stock I had to get a medallion signature guarantee .Every company may be different , Good luck nice flip!
Yep, Only problem now if the company is buying back on the open market it will be at the bid so we may be down here for awhile. imo
Only good for longs if PA hasn't increased the float and will be retiring the shares . IMO.
Morning bottom call.
Not in yet.
I'm only down $150. whoohoo!

Just an FYI .
This article discusses a strategy that once helped investors delay a taxable event with relative ease. Revisions made to the tax code by the act of 1997 effectively eliminated the "Short Against The Box" strategy as of July 27, 1997 (although not totally - see the bottom of this article for a caveat).
Shorting-against-the-box is the act of selling short securities that you already own. For example, if you own 200 shares of FON and tell your broker to sell short 200 shares of FON, you have shorted against the box. Note that when you short against the box, you have locked in your gain or loss, since for every dollar the long position gains, the short position will lose and vice versa.
An alternative way to short against the box is to buy a put on your stock. This may or may not be less expensive than doing the short sale. The IRS considers buying a put against stock the same as shorting against the box. Advertisement
The name comes from the idea of selling short the same stock that you are holding in your (safety deposit or strong) box. The term is somewhat meaningless today, with so many people holding stock in street name with their brokers, but the term persists.
The obvious way to close out any short-against-the-box position is to buy to cover the short position and to sell off the long. This will cost you two commissions. The better way is to simply tell your broker to deliver the shares you own to cover the short. This transaction is free of commission at some brokers.
The sole rationale for shorting-against-the-box is to delay a taxable event. Let's say that you have a big gain on some shares of XYZ. You think that XYZ has reached its peak and you want to sell. However, the tax on the gain may leave you under-withheld for the year and hence subject to penalties. Perhaps next year you will make a lot less money and will thus be in a lower bracket and therefore would rather take the gain next year. Or maybe you have some other reason.
Or perhaps you think, "This is great! I have a stock that I've held for 9 months but I think it has peaked out. Now I can lock in my gain, hold it for 3 more months, and then get a long-term gain instead of a short-term gain, saving me a bundle in taxes!"
Bzzt. The answer is absolutely NOT! Unfortunately, the IRS has already thought of this idea and has set the rules up to prevent it. From IRS Publication 550:
If you held property substantially identical to the property sold short for one year or less on the date of short sale or if you acquire property substantially identical to the property sold short after the short sale and on or before the date of closing the short sale, then:
Rule 1. Your gain, if any, when you close the short sale is a short-term capital gain; and
Rule 2. The holding period of the substantially identical property begins on the date of the closing of the short sale or on the date of the sale of this property, whichever comes first.
So if you have held a stock for 11 months and 25 days and sell short against the box, not only will you not get to 12 months, but your holding period in that stock is zeroed out and will not start again until the short is closed. Note that your holding period is not affected if you are already holding the stock long-term.
The 1997 revisions to the tax code define (or extend) the idea of "constructive sales." A constructive sale is a set of transactions which removes one's risk of loss in a security even if the security wasn't actually disposed of. Shorting against the box as well as certain options and futures transactions are defined as being constructive sales. And any constructive sale is interpreted as being the same as a real sale, which is why this strategy is no longer effective (don't you hate it when the rules change in the middle of the game?).
For those who have read this far, there does appear to be a small loophole in the 1997 revisions that permit shorting against the box to delay a taxable event. If you have a short against the box position and then buy in the short within 30 days of the start of the tax year and leave the long position at risk for at least 60 days before ofsetting it again, the constructive sales rules do not apply. So it appears that you can continue shorting against the box to defer gains, but you have to temporarily cover the short and be exposed for at least 60 days at the beginning of each and every year.
