The tortoises [ 3 different spider tortoise varities] are already in townsfolks backyards- I'll probably be able to choose from 300 to get my allotted 50prs . These tortoses were displaced by the last 3-5 yrs of agriculture developements. They are highly endangered and yet The US and most other countries make it illegal to import them even tho they will likely die or be eaten in their home country. We [US] tell all these rainforest countries not to deplete their natural resources but we don't give then any financial incentive not to. As far as the other reptiles and amphibians- There are a couple guides who will round up some locals [ mostly kids] to collect my quota limit. I am hoping to have all the specimens ready to go in 10 days. Theoretically I am able to collect these reptiles and amphibians for breeding purposes with hope that I can send back a percentage of the offspring to their native country for reintroduction and repopulation. In actuality- There is not much hope that the habitats will be the same and enough to support them in the 7-10 year time frame I project. Hows that for a long winded post?
