ya think ?
Congrats JL ........
This is true all opinions should be recognized and discussed .... the cult of amrn is making progress ....... there may be hope for some yet ....
Na - Im in this as an investor not as a doc - I am here to make money ... like all the rest of you -- as an investor it's irrelevant to me whether the med works or not -- you can make a fist full of dollars by playing both sides
Hey HEy maybe getting to my $2.50 buy in point - down down down she goes .....
You are absolutely correct - the new robber barons are government employees who lounge in the halls of govt whipping the serfs of the private sector to work harder and harder to pay for the inefficiencies of government - want to make more money in the private sector ? you just cant raise the price of your product you will have to learn how to work harder faster or smarter - if the government wants more money they simply raise the cost of their product ( ie your taxes )_ and you are forced to buy the product - if you dont you go to jail. SLoth and apathy is endemic in the government. Teachers in my state are making the equivalent of a quarter of a million a year - their retirement plans are worth over 2.5 million they all retire at age 55 . Fire fighters have retirement plans worth 3.5 million they start at age 20 and quit at 40 - if they live to 90 they will get paid for 70 years out of which they have only worked 20. Garbage man in NYC is taking home 265K a year in retirement - thats why your taxes are so high.
There are some excellent people in government but the numbers are growing fewer and fewer
The easiest way to live long is select your parents wisely
Bought at 1 sold at 4 ... tripled my money ...yea I will take it .....
let go a rabbit ... and watch em run ....
Exactly - nothing has changed so why the movement ? Because as I have posited previously - unproven ( ie not generating profits) Biotech stocks are built on hopes not reality - as long as you can analyze the "tells" of the players you can make money in biotech - Warren Buffett would never invest in them - unless they were already making money - early non established biotech is a hope of making money.
The Cantor release buoyed hope and stock goes up - all based on supposition - hope wanes and the stock drops - ride the waves and its almost as fun as kiting
Hilarious --- Are you upset? Too funny - Yes I prescribed the med initially with good intent then decided - why am I wasting my patients money on a useless product .....
Yes MIke this company has been a fiasco - you can make some money here as long as you dont let yourself get played like a fiddle .... basically VAscepa is a modified DS - DS have rarely ever proven to be effective for disease treatment unless you were in a total deprivation state ( ie scurvy etc). SO make your money by using the blinded enthusiasm displayed within the cult to your advantage ....
Dont worry Jsames ...all the talking heads here have provided ample evidence why this will be a success - not only in REDUCE IT but for any other disease that effects you
Right on TMAC - I guess 5% - perhaps improvements in subgroups ( ie diabetics high trigs low hdl - but even with that success market collapses as currently being marketed for all trigs 200- 5oo and isnt even profitable ) ... as a warning ... the cult does not take kindly to any criticism
Sage advice ...lottery tickets are not an investment
yea its entertaining for both of us ....
The FDA views DS as snake oil ( as do most docs ) - whether right or wrong thats how they view this - thats why they did the company in - they didnt want what a DS intruding into traditional pharmaceutical treatments with docs
LIke I have been saying all along - the only thing that matters is REDUCE IT
FDA will not be able to argue if results are crystal clear and obvious - then AMRN will only need to fight the whole DS debacle - market itself against existing treatments for remnant lipids etc etc ....
just way too many issues with this company - like someone said its a cheap lottery ticket - its not an investment .......
A young man told is father he had decided on a career course - that he was going into organized crime -- the father asked whether he would be in the public or private sector - The son wasnt sure . The father recommended the public sector as in that arena you will never be prosecuted
ONly the government would require you to pay 350 million so they can get their work done on time
You are a wise and sage man - there are very few of us left .....
One has to just love that statement - best LOTTERY ticket - not certain what the best odds are in wining the lottery - but they are extremely remote - so holding AMRN is holding the possibility of an extremely remote payout ..... unless you play the system ....
Jeffrey Jay decreased its stake in Amarin Corporation Plc (AMRN) by 40.29% based on its latest 2017Q3 regulatory filing with the SEC. Great Point Partners Llc sold 713,175 shares.
AMRN EXECS SHOULD CONSIDER TAKING THIS COURSE
https://biotechprimer.com/calendar/strategic-commercialization-4/
'pilot testing of new promotional initiatives for potential broader application following REDUCE-IT results'
TRANSLATION ....... WHEN REDUCE-IT FAILS WE WILL NEED TO FIND ALTERNATIVE MARKETS TO PEDDLE OUT INVENTORY ... HILARIOUS
Hmmm cant be talking to me ... I love AMRN has and is making money for me .....
Tasgrewaf ... you are absolutely correct - the reaction of the members of the cult of AMRN is usual and nothing new here
No change from their previous position - as I posted in October
In fact, as noted in the complaint, FDA has already determined that synthetic fatty acid esters derived from fish oil "do not fit within the statutory definition of 'dietary ingredient' because they are not constituents of a dietary substance for use by man under section 20l(ff)(l)(F).
you just realized this ??
The captain may choose to stay with the sinking ship but if the crew is starting to jump into life boats ... I'd get my life preserve on instead of going to sleep ... Of course he might just still be buying Christmas presents as someone else suggested
No engine runs faster for free ....
ahhhh Pyrronhian ... you have stumbled onto one of the main truths in this whole debacle - its a food, its a DS, its a wannabee and like Rodney Dangerfield - it gets no respect - especially from the FDA but also from Doctors and patients and insurance companies
.. poor poor AMRN ... wants to run with the big dogs but is kept on the porch by the mean FDA ...
Exactly Marzan ... and when they ask if he would be rewarded with shares for a successful case that would not be viewed as a conflict ....
Agree BB ... if you are investor why would you even consider getting mixed up in this debacle when there are so many other good stocks to choose from ......
Now thats a great point ... YOu could do each year since inception ....
... NOW THATS A GREAT POINT .... I WONDER HOw does AMRN COMPARE TO THE DOW OVER SAY THE LAST SIX YEARS ?
why not ? It works for everything else !
BB.... disagreeing will NOT be tolerated in the cult of AMRN !!!
If REDUCE IT succeeds then AMRN needs to overcome the DS issue (which I brought up several years ago on other sites and months ago here (which you all said was not an issue ...)) and if they can do that then they will have success in the marketplace and should become profitable
Its a long road ....
1.) Reduce IT fails - stock plummets
2.) Reduce IT succeeds only in select subgroups stock either drops or perhaps remains steady ( would all depend on the loss of Rx currently being written for reduction of CAD for trigs 200- 500 would be supplanted by FDA approval in select sub groups )
3.) REDUCE IT succeeds - still need to overcome DS issue if AMRN can - then success
but still remaining is the major issue which AMRN has not yet detected
Current sales of the drug are based upon marketing with the assumption that reducing trigs in 200- 500 range will reduce the number of cardiovascular events.
It is interesting that even when marketing the drug for that purpose the company isnt yet profitable .....
If REDUCE IT fails stock price implodes as most of the current usage is for trigs in the 200-500 range.
... and at the same time that the FDA indicated there was no reason to treat trigs in the 200- 500 range with medication they were strongly advocating for low trig diets on their web site .....
