SNWR: only 16 trades so far in in April. sanwire.net is not online. The affiliated sanwiresoftware.com goes to Go Daddy as available for purchase.
The signs are not good.
IPKL all over again? Can't get that symbol off my TDA brokerage statement - the usual sell it for a penny to shed it doesn't work.
I visited the Elk City mine site Dec 2015 - two years ago. I don't think any changes have taken place there but will pose the question - anything new to see on the site? I'll be in the area May 4th and 5th to attend the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting in Omaha. Anyone else attending Warren's big show?

This was posted after the Dec 2016 Shareholder meeting I attended in Denver and below the meeting photos some Google Earth Images of the Elk Creek site -and one ground level image of the buildings used by Niocorp on the site -there since Moly days. I don't believe any changes in the look of the land since those Google Earth images.
There's little clue to see from the roads that border the property of what lies beneath or what is yet to come. I drove past it several times thinking there's be some sign of activity - nothing yet. Waiting for the groundbreaking.

I don't think majors typically make any mention of their early alliances with exploratory outfits but it'd would be great if Goldcorp were to issue something. Don't expect it however.

Significant investment by Goldcorp. Mawson announced a private placement of 18 million units sold at 0.45 CDN for net proceeds of 8.1 million CDN .
This is important news when the fourth largest gold mining company in the world by revenue shows confidence in the Mawson holdings and invests that amount -perhaps not large to Goldcorp but huge to Mawson and it assures exploration will continue thru the present winter season on the prospects in Finland.
I take it as very good news - there was a one day pop of 30% in share price but then share price declined as part of the US and worldwide early February correction in equities and gold.

BTKV - What office and what's a good phone number for Sanwire?
Tnx for a link or a numbet.
Can't find Sandra Dubeau other than a name connected with SID Holding Group in Florida. Another possible connection is the "Squeeze Report". Can't find a Sanwire Webstie - one is offline and another version says pending.
Don't know if they're into underground mine wireless comms - the old iPacket and iPTerra or cell and data services for Native American tribes. Any of that still in the business plan? Think both were divested three years ago.
Did Vetter and Kanno take the mining comms propietary rights (?) with them as happened in IPKL -> SNWR? In short I'm not pinning down anything related to Sanwire. Is there a Corp office in Tulsa?
What did you buy when you bought shares into this run up or were you buying the run up?

I'll have a few comments later on the Town Hall. It was all positive and I think everyone went away knowing Niocorp is putting everything into getting the Elk Creek project off the ground.
At least three State Senators and many County officials attended. Mostly though it was the Elk Creek community - farmers and business owners, teachers, - many are also keenly interested and well informed shareholders. Many thanks to Niocorp and the evening's community sponsors.
Mark promised the crowd a great ground breaking and BBQ when it's time to cut ribbons and turn over a few spades of dirt. We will be back for that one for sure.

Hey Fireball - thanks for the shout and I enjoyed sharing the table with you last night. We got back to Kansas City around 12 30 am. No Northern Lights sighted - I had high hopes.
Good meeting - place was packed so either the free meal or the presentation was the draw - both I think. I'll put some images up as soon as I get them online in album form. I have one of you taken before I knew you - before you even sat down at our table. Pure coincidence.
You had a great story about who really discovered the metals deposit - it was you and a few others. Wanna tell that one? I think all would be interested as I was. My email is rjw@kcsky.net. I'd like to stay in touch back channel by email.
Good meeting you - best wishes to all of us.

I'll be there Friday night and I don't expect any announcement that isn't preceded by a Press Release and I don't expect a PR between now and tomorrow night. Do expect it's as stated - a congenial meal and Town Hall primarily for the community - with reiteration of the benefits to the state and county primarily jobs and local taxes, reassurances about any environmental concerns and a word and slide presentation based on material we've seen. I think it'll be very congenial on both sides - with plenty of applause. There seems to be broad support in the county and that mood I feel will prevail.
Wonder if they reached their 500 room size limit. Anybody try to register and not able to?

D&P Steel - strong and ductile. Quite a few articles on development of a new steel alloy that combines strength with better ductility. Not a direct competitor to a niobium alloy but interesting from standpoint of a new type of steel and new steel making technique producing product with some desirable characteristics. It will likely find a niche if it goes from lab to production and approval.

From reading several articles it Looks like D&P Steel for Deformed and Partitioned is the more commonly used term.
I will be in Syracuse next Friday but feel it's a gathering mainly for the local community. Some do and some don't expect any major announcement. I do not but of course would welcome additional "news". I will be interested in the vibe from the room and expect it to be quite positive with plenty of applause.

Syracuse Inn - A motel in Syracuse NE. I tried to call the Inn today, Sunday Aug 20th, to inquire about rooms for the night of the Sep 8th Town Hall and the desk clerk asked me to call back "tomorrow". That seemed like a long time to wait but he said he was swamped and I realized they are on the path of totality for Monday's eclipse and I'm sure booked up tonight. I had called at peak check-in time 4 30 pm.
The Elk Creek mine site is about 6 miles north of the center line of path of totality and will have max duration totality- 2 minutes 35 seconds.Totality for Elk Creek begins at 1:03:25 pm CDT. The partial eclipse lasts nearly three hours so Elk Creek is a great viewing location.
I'll call back.. Don't know if any special rate has been arranged but the Syracuse Inn is reasonably priced in any event with rooms in the $65 to $75 realm.
I assume most who attend will be local to the area or will be staying nearer the Omaha airport if flying in. We live in Kansas City and could drive back after the Town Hall but may choose to spend the night for a daytime drive the next day.
Syracuse Inn 402 269-2700 or http://www.syracuseinn.net/. Just don't call during a total eclipse. Give 'em a day to recover. I'll take it as a good sign Elk Creek is having a total eclipse -- a good omen for financing and the march to construction.

Three message board sayings:
1) Back up the truck
2) Long and Strong
3) We will never see XX cents again.
That last one usually means we WILL see XX again.
Just my own quirk - others seem to like the Big 3 since I see them often on penny stock boards.
Personally agree with all 3 for Niocorp right now but won't be posting any of them.

If there were hints of this i missed them. The decline in share price after First Pour was one clue i supose. I don't think most shareholders had an inkling of a serious issue underground. Thirty-four percent drop in share price for the RDEMF symbol - in addition to the drip drip drip decline YTD.
Seems like management had the drill data and mine plan and this should have been a known issue from before the fist bore hole was drilled. Wonder how long they have recognized the issue of unstable working conditions in the mine?
Stay or Go? Thought there might be an afternoon rebound - none.
Pretty serious matter for a fledgling miner.
Very disappointed. My stake was not a large one but a decline of this magnitude hurts.

Yes I do plan to drive up - it's close enough and I'd enjoy the presentation and getting to meet some of you. I think I read they'll do a town hall once the FS is out. Is Tecumseh the likely site?
Glad to hear the community is enthusiastic about the project. Disruptive yes for residents but overall something that'll bring big positive changes to the region. One would never guess what's beneath those fields that look just like the surrounding 10,000 acres of similar terrain. No clue in the topography.
"What Lies Beneath" - title of a Harrison Ford movie and an apt tag line for the project site.
Tnx. Mark said they considered all alternatives for dewatering and disposal of the waste water. I'm a little surprised a desalination plant on site wasn't cheaper than the pipeline. I'm sure they have chosen the best overall solution. Maybe other factors beside just cost came into play. They are a careful and deliberate group - my impression. I take it the owner is still in her house. Very nice lady.
TO ... I know the land package is complete but assume that means only that owners have agreed to terms - land not yet transferred. And that should mean normal ag ops this crop year - is that the case from what you saw? Same for the the owner at current ops area. Do you have a feel for where the mine portal and processing plants will be in relation to those current storage sheds - the green buildings?
Here's a repost of some images from the site taken last December after the DEN shareholder meeting. I assume nothing is much different today except corn and beans are in are in.

Yes on looking for higher grades ... none of the recent core results are in the jaw dropping realm and I don't know what will constitute economic gold in the Arctic environment. It'll be higher than in Nevada or Mexico. Also not sure a heap operation is the plan if the only ore is bulk tonnage ore -not high grade for gravity separation
There are heap leach ops in cold climates but the Arctic winter presents problems with the water lines, emitters and just any exposed plumbing -problems mean extra cost. Also will the environment issues permit for a heap leach with the large footprint that entails? So those grades concern me - they don't seen to concern our CEO. They'd be outstanding in another jurisdiction - not sure how they shape up in Finland?

May 2nd, 2017 Press Release with continued good drill results from Rajapalot:
http://mawsonresources.com/news/news-releases/2017/mawson-drills-88-metres-at-75-gt-gold-at-rajapalot-finland
Figures below the narrative portion.
The lead paragraph from this release"
Mr. Hudson, Chairman and CEO, states, "A blind discovery of this grade and thickness made in multiple drill holes, 1.75 kilometres from Palokas is a significant result for the Rajapalot project. By applying our understanding on the controls on mineralization, we are now successfully intersecting multiple high-grade gold mineralized zones under the thin glacial soil cover. This first systematic season of drill testing has proven the scale of the system, and is defining a wide range of exciting targets. With approximately 50% of assays still to come from the winter program, we look forward to substantial further news flow.”
Rajapalot mineralized area keeps expanding. Press release on new geo survey by magnetometer to define additional mineralization. The good news on this district scale project keeps coming.

History of Niobium - pardon me if this has been posted previously but this video on the discovery and history of Niobium I found quite interesting:
Audio Interview - Michael Hudson and Gerardo Del Real of Resource Stock Digest. Seven minutes and dated April 11, 2017.
http://resourcestockdigest.com/archives/index.php?content_id=4941
I like this format with the audio clip and also the transcript. Up to date discussion of this winter's drill program and extent of the mineralized ore body. Hudson speaks of the bulk ore at about 2 gpt as potensial heap leach project. I'd be interested to know how a heap leach works in the Arctic where traditional leach lines would be frozen for the winter months.
I found this reference for cold climate heap leach and the experience in Alaska was that the cyanide solution remained above freezing so the leach continued year round. I doesn't entirely explain why the solution remains in liquid state. This is a pdf document.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&ved=0ahUKEwie8v724p_TAhXIi1QKHXEpDRsQFgg1MAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.emr.gov.yk.ca%2Fmining%2Fpdf%2Fmml_brewerycreek_case_study_of_brewery.pdf&usg=AFQjCNEeEqQlhxiFxhC7l9dgjQeauRuJ-g&cad=rja
Next move - up.
Just looking at the chart we are headed for an upward crossing of the 50 day Moving Average and two of the past three upward crossings were followed by continued significant up moves. I and in the US and buy the MWSNF symbol - if we go above 34 cents I'll be bold and call for a 12 cent move to 46 cents. The winter drill program will be over soon and perhaps we'll see a wrap up statement from Michael Hudson.
I see no negative news - some of the grades in this PR are not in the spectacular realm and given the location I'm not sure exactly what is considered economic. It's likely higher than in an easier district - maybe 1.5 g/ton to be economic maybe more but we seem to be in that realm.
The mineralized zone seems quite large and it's expected there will be significant variations in grade and type of ore bearing deposit. That may complicate recovery if one method does not fit all of the ore body.
Anyone else is welcome to ring in with your assessment of where things stand - spring of 2017. Still risks, still "years" before production and not yet an assurance there will be production. Mawson is taking it step by step and the press releases are measured and substantive. I do like the participation by several patient backers with staying power.

Press Release April 6th, 2017 - -some fomatting was lost in copy/paste - original at:
http://mawsonresources.com/news/news-releases/2017/mawson-drills-137-metres-at-20-gt-gold-at-rajapalot-finland
Mawson Drills 13.7 Metres at 2.0 g/t Gold at Rajapalot, Finland
Vancouver, Canada – Mawson Resources Limited ("Mawson") or (the "Company") (TSX:MAW) (Frankfurt:MXR) (PINKSHEETS: MWSNF) announces drill results from thirteen diamond drill holes from the 2017 winter program at the Company’s 100% owned Rajapalot Project in Northern Finland. With these results, the mineralized zone has been significantly extended, with gold mineralization discovered on the western, southern and eastern margins of the previous mineralization footprint. Four drill rigs continue to drill 24/7.
Key Points:
PAL0048, drilled 1.75 km southeast of Palokas intersected:
6.0 metres @ 2.0 g/t gold from 53 metres and 13.7 metres @ 2.0 g/t gold from 82 metres;
Mineralized zone without a lower cut off comprises 42.7 metres @ 1.0 g/t gold from 53.0 metres in magnetite, pyrrhotite, biotite and chlorite altered rocks;
PAL0048 is the most easterly hole drilled at Rajapalot to date and mineralization remains open;
PAL0043, drilled 1.5 km southwest of Palokas and 1.1 km west of PAL0048 intersected:
12.0 metres @ 1.2 g/t gold from 10.6 metres;
This hole targeted a VTEM anomaly and is the westernmost hole reported from Rajapalot to date, which opens a new area of exploration potential to the west;
PAL0040, drilled 450 metres southeast of PAL0043 and 75 metres south west of PAL0037 (56 metres @ 0.53 g/t gold from 33 metres Mawson Press Release March 06, 2017) intersected:
5.0 metres @ 1.2 g/t gold from 37.3 metres;
This is the southernmost drill hole at Rajapalot, opening a new area of exploration potential to the south;
Forty-two holes (PAL0027-PAL0069) have been completed to date, totalling 8,721 metres of diamond drill core. With this release, assay results from a total of 19 holes have been reported, while results are pending for an additional 23 completed holes. A further 10 diamond drill holes are planned to be drilled before the completion of the winter program.
Mr. Hudson, Chairman and CEO, states, "The bold exploration approach taken by Mawson during the 2017 winter program is now paying dividends. By stepping out to previously known the limits of the mineralized system at Rajapalot, the gold mineralized footprint has been significantly expanded and demonstrated to be open on the western, southern and eastern margins. In combination with the significant hydrothermal alteration observed in all holes, it is clear a large mineralized system exists at Rajapalot. With less than 50% of assays received from holes drilled to date, and four rigs still drilling 24/7, we look forward to further news flow."
A plan view of the drill results is provided in Figure 1. Tables 1, 2 and 3 include all relevant collar and assay information. The true thickness of the mineralized interval is interpreted to be approximately 90% of the sampled thickness.
These drill results support the discovery of a new style of gold-bearing system at South Rajapalot, as described in Mawson Press Release March 06, 2017. Mineralization is characterized by an extensive area of potassic-iron-sulphide alteration located up to 1,800m south of the Palokas prospect. Drilling has defined a zone that now extends for 1,200m along strike and 400m in width that remains open.
Gold-anomalous alteration has been drilled to date over a 1,200 m x 400 m area in South Rajapalot. It consists of sulphide, magnetite, biotite and chlorite hydrothermal mineral assemblages hosted in predominately grey albitites. Textures range from veined albitic granofels through fractured and brecciated to locally schistose. Veining and fracture fill minerals include magnetite, pyrrhotite and magnetite-pyrrhotite (+/- quartz). Local retrograde chlorite after biotite and vein-controlled chlorite+/- tourmaline and magnetite are also present. Preliminary hand-held XRF analysis confirms the presence of associated scheelite and molybdenite, the former visible under UV light as tiny veinlets and disseminations. The iron-rich nature of the mineralized rocks is a common theme in either the oxide or sulphide form, with a variably sulphidic and chloritic overprint. The alteration is clearly post-metamorphic, reduced, and most likely driven by granitoid intrusions. Chlorite is regarded as the lowest temperature silicate mineral with gold, structurally controlled in apparent association with quartz veins. Altered rocks enclosing the mineralized package contain locally abundant talc and tourmaline.
Technical and Environmental Background
Two diamond drill rigs (K1 & K2) from the Arctic Drilling Company OY (ADC) with water recirculation and drill cuttings collection systems were used for the drill program. Core diameter is NQ2 (50.6 mm) diameter core. Core recoveries were excellent and average close to 100% in fresh rock. After photographing and logging in Mawson’s Rovaniemi facilities, core intervals averaging 1 metre for mineralized samples and 2 m for barren samples were cut in half at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) core facilities in Rovaniemi, Finland. The remaining half core is retained for verification and reference purposes. Analytical samples were transported by Mawson personnel or commercial transport from site to the CRS Minlab Oy facility in Kempele, Finland. Samples were prepared at Kempele and analyzed for gold at Raahe using the PAL1000 technique which involves grinding the sample in steel pots with abrasive media in the presence of cyanide, followed by measuring the gold in solution with flame AAS equipment. The QA/QC program of Mawson consists of the systematic insertion of certified standards of known gold content, duplicate samples by quartering the core, and blanks the within interpreted mineralized rock. In addition, CRS inserts blanks and standards into the analytical process.
The qualified person for Mawson's Finnish projects, Dr. Nick Cook, President for Mawson and Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining Metallurgy has reviewed and verified the contents of this release.

Before I get too giddy over use of Niobium in the Trump era bridge, pipeline and other infrastructure projects I wonder about specs.
There as strict state and federal specs for steel and unless the Niobium alloys are approved for the specific application I'd not be sure they'll see use within the early years of production - assuming 2019 to 2020. Same with scandium alloys in airline military projects where the MILSPECS are strict and I'd assume fairly long lead time in approving any new materials.
Not throwing cold water but wondering if the state, Fed and military procurement departments are keeping up with what is and will be available. Nicorp will be ready -- will the regs and specs?

Thanks Edge - - my read of cup and handle is we've got the cup a well rounded U with cup lips around 50 Cents CDN and are now forming the handle to the right with current decline.
If the new run up breaks 50 cent CDN using MAW.TO the uptrend has some running room from there especiall on increasing volume. If it fails to reach the level of the cup's lips - the upward trend less likely to be sustained. We're early in the downward handle phase from my reading so may have weeks of downard drift to to go.
I'm longterm buy and hold but a friend has done well trading this for 10 to 15% gain per round trip over the past couple of months.
What is your interpretation of the cup and handle?

Long segment but use the slider at the bottom to go to 19:00 for his intro to Mawson then the more substantive part at 25:00.
Fulp is paid by Mawson but also a shareholder. He makes the point that Mawson's holdings can be termed "world class" and very likely mark an entire new mining district of high grade deposit under shallow glacial till.
He's very enthusiastic about Mawson while recognizing the difficulty of working in Finland. He visited the site and describes working on wooden planks and getting caught in the muck and mire with Mawson's CEO, Michael Hudson, coming to help him out of the dilemma.
The interview was posted Feb 14th, 2017.

John Kaiser iterview discussing the scandium boom he sees just ahead and Scandium Internationl's important place in that market:
http://investingnews.com/daily/resource-investing/critical-metals-investing/scandium-investing/john-kaiser-scandium-boom/
A snippet from the interview:
JK: The company I have been following, Scandium International (TSX:SCY), got a development consent in November and is now awaiting a mining lease in New South Wales, where these game-changing deposits have been found. The development consent is the primary obstacle you need to overcome. The mining lease usually does not take a lot of time. It’s a different department of the government. Once they have this, they will have to go out and raise $100 million in construction capital. It’ll take a year or so to build. So, within two years, we should start seeing the world’s first primary scaleable scandium supply. This will be a very big deal because scandium is the ideal marriage partner for aluminum and what all the end users have been waiting for for a very long time.
Listen to the whole interview - very favorable toward SCY.
For the record. Friday close 2-3-17 SCY 0.29 SCYYF 0.2359

I know the land agreements announced recently include 4078 acres. I don't have a feeling for the X-Y 2 dimensional size of the ore body in relation to the land package. If you project the ore body up to the surface anyone know the acreage that might represent? Trying to get a feel for how much "buffer" the land package represents around the ore body.
The 4078 acres is about 6.4 sq miles or about 2.5 miles on a side if square.

I asked Mark about the dewatering when at the Shareholder meeting and he said there will be plenty of redundancy in their system. He also said there were other means of dealing with the brackish water beside the pipeline but that was considered the best solution. He's a very methodical, analytic CEO and the issue didn't seem to concern him so his confidence allayed my own concerns on that topic.
