Significant investment by Goldcorp. Mawson announced a private placement of 18 million units sold at 0.45 CDN for net proceeds of 8.1 million CDN .

This is important news when the fourth largest gold mining company in the world by revenue shows confidence in the Mawson holdings and invests that amount -perhaps not large to Goldcorp but huge to Mawson and it assures exploration will continue thru the present winter season on the prospects in Finland.

I take it as very good news - there was a one day pop of 30% in share price but then share price declined as part of the US and worldwide early February correction in equities and gold.
