You may still be F.O.S., Micro...we could put it up for a vote!!!
Just bustin''em for ya! Have a good weekend!
Gotta go guys (and gals). Time for the "real job". Try to keep this thing green, and headed greener, for the rest of the day.
Hopefully some day the real job will be a thing of the past...
Joe (and anyone else interested...)
If you want to do a little due that includes calling a trucking company or two, here's a website I use at work:
www.safersys.org
under FMCSA SEARCHES, click on "company snapshot"
click on "name", enter a name in the block, and hit "search".
Voila...everything you ever wanted to know about a trucking company! Number of power units, addresses, phone numbers, safety record (the part I use), etc.
Not only will this site give you a lot of information, it gives you an idea of just how many trucking companies there are out there. Type in a generic name like "Jones", instead of a full company name, and look how long the list is...it's really phenominal.
If you have a larger company in your area, you may want to give them a call and see if they're familiar with the system, of if they maybe even have a test unit on board.
Just thought I'd throw this out there, in case anyone coule use it. It's more information than any one person can possibly use!
Joe,
I see you're posting again. I assume this means the wall I assigned you to build has been completed?
Good luck, buddy. Hopefully it loses a little steam, and you just get a heck of a rainstorm. I want that place in one piece for my post-MCCY explosion party!!!
I'm holding my position in MCCY. If you're that nervous in a pinky, you'd better just get out now...
Joe...Get off the computer and get to work on a wall...DO NOT LET PLAYA GET WACKED AGAIN!!!!
I'm putting this assignment in your capable hands...
Not looking to freeload. We have our own place to stay, but I'll be looking you up. I'll be the one with the drink in my hand, wearing a t-shirt that says "MCCY ROCKS!"
Joe,
The wife and I love Playa! Nothing like leaving the crappy late-winter weather of central Pennsylvania and heading to Playa for a week of diving! If this thing ever takes off, you'd better be looking for me, 'cause we'll be headed that way!
300,000 units, and each has a monthly monitoring fee. I asume this means that MCCY will do the monitoring.
Do we have a facility set up to handle this, and trained employees in the pipeline to man this facility 24/7/365?
I don't recall anyone addressing this issue. Where is the monitoring going to take place, and who is going to do it? It's going to take a lot of people to monitor 300,000 units that may come on line rather quickly.
I'm not sure exactly what it means, jimbot. I've seen a lot of "concept cars" that were just that...a concept. The production never saw the light of day. The important part is the technology itself. Does it work , and can they hold down production costs to a point where it would be feasible to put it in their general production vehicles?
Time will tell, and I'm guessing the time will be substantial.
Joe,
Wish I had seen earlier that you were flying through Philly. I'd have looked you up and bought your dinner. Also didn't realize that you were calling Playa Del Carmen home. The wife and I like hanging out at Viva Maya when we're down that way to dive. Nothing like leaving Pennsylvania in February and diving in the warm water down there for a week or so.
If this one ever thakes off big, we'll be down there even more. I'll most certainly look you up then! Can't wait to hear how the meeting goes. Thanks for the effort!
A great list of reasons why I loaded up some more in the .37-.38 range today. Not a lot by some of your standards, but every little bit helps. Had a check clear from some timber cutting on my property. Turned some cherry and oak trees into several thousand more shares. I thought I was topped off before, but I actually forgot I had this $$$ coming. What a pleasant suprise! Time to sit back and watch the show.
Popcorn, anyone?
We can all have a little better weekend. The fearmongers are at bay,and for now all is peaceful in MCCY Land. Thank you Raphy for calming the fears of some of those who were unsure.
My weekend will be spent watching my nephew play in the state little league championship series. It doesn't get any better...9 and 10-year-old kids playing for the love of the game.
Go Nationals!!!
Didn't somebody post on here earlier that they were leaving to go to a Twins game? They said a lot of those on the bridge when it collapsed would have been headed towards the stadium. It looks very bad for those who are trapped.
OT...sorry...Fox News is reporting a huge bridge collapsed into the Mississippi in Minneaoplis...hundreds of cars involved...I pray for any I-Hubbers or their faimiles that may be in the area. It looks absoultely horrific.
Sorry for the OT post.
I'll already be at PSU/Wisconsin...I'll look for you, wear a blue hat!
LA...I agree with Camelbox...fix that 606.
I had to add 728 a while back, just to get a nice, round number. I made it to 6 digits, but not by very much...you have me beat by a couple of thousand...but you're right, this is a life changer.
I'm trying not to watch it daily, but I can't stay away...
Eric...it's Martin Walker, not Mark.

Rapheals back on...
I haven't heard anything earth shattering...still waiting for something big...
He DOES exist!!!!
just press 6 and listen to the man talk...
#66...got a snack and a drink..just waiting....
Is there a limit to how many connections the CC can handle? I don't want to miss it, but can't call at 3:30 and wait around for an hour, either. I'll be calling from my office at work.
It just seems like 1000 callers might swamp the system.
No problem, Trading.
I'm really pulling for the FOLO system. I hope it works like they claim, and if it does I really think it should be in every truck. It would make the roads safer for everyone.
Oh, yeah, I'd make a boatload of money, too... :^)
So...why do we even need the FOLO system?
I’m glad you asked...and I’m going to give you my opinion of why it’s needed.
I’m not just guessing. For the past 20 years, I have worked as a State Trooper, handling a large section of Interstate 80. For the past 6 years, I have been a Patrol Unit Supervisor. I’m also certified to do Federal Motor Carrier Safety Inspections. In 20 years, I’ve seen a lot of people lose their lives in crashes involving tractor-trailers. Both the TT drivers, and innocent people driving down the road, minding their own business, who were suddenly killed by 80,000 lbs that has gone out of control.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not anti-trucker. Truck drivers, and the very trucks they operate are necessary to the functioning of our economy. I have met some wonderful people who sit behind the wheel of a “big rig”.
I have also met a lot who should not be truck drivers, and a sure sign that there are other things wrong with the truck. All of their energy goes in to "beating the system". The system that was put in place to help keep innocent people alive when they share the road with trucks. What do the “bad” truck drivers do? They drive trucks at insane speeds. They falsify their logbooks so they can drive extra hours, or they have two logbooks and only show me the “good” one, or some just don’t keep a log at all. They pop the truckstop checkout counter caffeine pills like they are from a Pez dispenser to keep awake. They are paid by the mile, so the faster and farther they drive, the more they make in a day. They urinate in a bottle kept between the seats so they don’t even have to stop for that. Can't stop. Time, speed, and miles are all money. (BTW...most of the ones that do this eventually just throw the bottle out the window. Look along any interstate while you drive along...that ain’t tea)
Good truck drivers and good companies maintain their trucks. Bad ones don’t. That takes time and money, and it once again takes the driver off the road. If the truck’s sittin’, he’s not making money. Eventually a hose breaks, and he spreads oil all over the highway. He might not crash, but someone behind him will. Or his brakes get so far out of adjustment that he can’t even slow down as he comes down hill into a construction area, and he plows into the stopped traffic, killing 5 people. (It happened...I was there) They did nothing wrong, but they are dead now anyway. Because some driver, or some company, chose to ignore the maintenance on a truck.
I understand the financial ramifications of the FOLO system. Cost savings of up to 15% over original operating costs. That’s great, and it’s another selling point. Personally and professionally, I’m interested in the increased safety that the FOLO system could bring. If it can somehow keep some of the “bad” drivers slowed down, or keep them from driving for hours on end without a break, or help track maintenance issues, or even alert someone when a driver is starting to nod off and become a hazard, then it should be in every truck on the highway.
The “good” companies and drivers are going to love this system.
Those who are intentionally “bad” are going to hate it.
But if it does what they say, it’s going to save lives. That’s why I think we need it. I'm tired of dealing with people gettin' dead on my highway.
I agree, mookie. Especially with government entities, it can take a long time to get anything solid accomplished. I think the best we can hope for tomorrow is a "it went really well and they're very excited about our product" type of PR. Something along those lines would be great, anything more might have a phenominal effect! Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Thought I was going to bed a long time ago. Why am I still here?
Thanks Manny.
Don't know where I picked it up, but I was under the impression that it was a meeting with US DOT, and other entities had been invited to attend.
Not the first time I've been confused! :^)
G'nite, all. Tomorrows a big day, need to get some rest. Anybody have any specifics on this DOT meeting? Morning, afternoon, all day? If it's early enough, we may see something PR'd later in the day. If so, it's gonna be something big.
This could explode faster than a pinata at a 5 year old's birthday party!!!
My thoughts exactly! I'm low (extremely low) 6-digits into MCCY, so the 728 didn't make a huge difference overall. I just wanted to see an even number.
Then again, who knows...if this goes high enough, 728 shares might just be a huge difference!!!
GLTYA!
Just added a whopping...728 shares!!!
I know, it's silly, but I wanted a nice round number with nothing but zero's at the end. And I needed 728 more to "fix" my odd number of shares. Now I'm officially "set". Got rid of that goofy number in my portfolio, and I'm ready to go.
Just waiting now to add a few more zero's in another column. The time is approaching.....
Camel,
"bazillionaire"...that's just "rich". Everyone has their own zone that they consider "rich". Some here would be blown away to make $50,000. Others won't settle for less than a million. To each his/her own, as long as it brings happiness! Take the profit that puts a big smile on your face, and consider yourself a Bazillionaire!!!
Smile, folks...this is going to be fun!!!
This has the potential to be one of those stocks that legends are made of. We've all heard college professors or market professionals talk about "If you had purchased $10 worth of WXYZ stock 20 years ago, you'd have a bazillion dollars right now." Well, MCCY has the potential to be our WXYZ, and I for one have my $10 invested. OK, I'll admit it...I splurged, I'm in for $12!
Hold your shares, play your cards right, and those of us who jumped in on the ground floor just may be MCCY bazillionaires! At the very least we should make some very nice returns! Good Luck ,and congrats to all who are along fo the ride!!!
Can anyone throw up an L2? I'm just getting an error message this morning....GRRRRRR!
Thanx in advance!!!
I can honestly say I've never seen this kind of excitement over a stock...but then again, I've also never been this excited over one myself!
I'm going to bed, but I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep. That can't be a good sign...:^)
OK MCCY'ers...we're all hyped for what has happened, and what is about to happen.
Just for the fun of it, tomorrow's close will be...what?
I'm guessing $.68.
Step right up...take your best guess...
I've got to think anyone on this board is making some serious coin these days!!!! I'm more than happy to be a member of this exclusive little group!
My two biggest holdings right now are MCCY (+104.92%) and ABPH (+2118.75%!!!!).
My little ones go to bed at 8:30...I may have to have a beer or two at 8:35!!!
Here's to tomorrow!! GLTYA
Not trying to spread a rumor, I'm more interested seeing if someone has information that we don't have. They quite well may be blowing smoke.
It's on HOTSTOCKMARKET...
Let me see if I can link it...I'm a computer moron...
FWIW...a poster on another board says they were able to confirm that the audit is being done by Ernst & Young.
Pretty reputable firm, if in fact it's true. Time will tell, I guess.
Some people just refuse to hold anything. It hits their sell point, it's gone. They move on to the next one, or try to get back in on a dip.
Those of us who are not flipping this one are just sitting tight for now. Get out and you may not get back in where you want to any time soon.
