...better volume today. Nice to see some interest in our little nugget. Maybe I'll call Cramer on the "Lightening Round" and get his revered opinion... Next is bedfordboy. Boooyah Jim!! What is your opinion on Hartcourt??? Hartcourt you say? Symbol HRCT? That company has been on my radar for some time now and I want you, before the shareholders meeting, to back up the truck. This is a MON-BACK. Buy hand over fist here and after the meeting you will understand why. Next we have a cal...Wudaya think? Should I call? His endorsement is good for a couple of bucks, easy. His followers buy blindly, then look up info to see what they bought...??
bb
...nope. I won't be there, and I've said so, many times in the past. Although I do hold shares, hrct has not done anything to change my level of interest in it. I can get by with whatever is displayed here. The only ?s I would have would be...1) How is the march towards NASDAQ going? 2) Why isn't HRCT doing a share repurchase program at these levels and using those repurchased shares for acquisitions instead of adding 183,000,000 authorized shares? 3) Why is a reverse split not being considered as a viable way of meeting NASDAQ shareprice requirements. That's it...and I don't really care if they are answered or not. In short, at this time, I don't care what this company does. It is nothing more than an amusement to me that can only lose another .07 in value, and I can live with that too...Enjoy the meeting Tin, and try to remain positive...
bb
ps...did you notice the volume today?
...and only 1/2 cent change in shareprice. Holding its own and steady as she goes. ETLK also a fun stock to own...
bb
Hey Gar, do us all a favor and buy back in please. A guaranteed increase in shareprice is hard to ignore. I'd consider it a personal favor if you would continue buying until HRCT hits a buck...;~)
bb
yuppp, IF ONLY...
bb
LOL...good post. Not accurate, but phunny.
bb
Thinker, if he gives me a buck a share, I am afraid it does mean I'll be leaving, but that ain't gonna happen so you will be able to enjoy my infrequent, but opinionated posts at your leisure. Good luck to you and I hope you have other investments besides HRCT, ETLK and FLTL. Your family deserves to have something positive to look forward to. You can't buy much with a dream...

Part of a JDSU news article asking the shareholders to approve an 1 for 8 or a 1 for 10 reverse split...
JDSU is one of several tech shops that issued shares by the wheelbarrowful in acquisitions and did a number of stock splits during the Internet building boom, back when the sky was the limit for telecom stocks. But the industry's fortunes collapsed in 2000 as big network spenders closed their wallets. As a result, JDSU is among a roster of big tech shops that finds itself saddled with an enormous share count and a low stock price
...things that make SOME of us go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
bb
What would that do for me???????? How 'bout you give me a buck a share for 'em since you think this company is golden. Just think...you will have my shares and I'll be gone. Just like you want it. Or you can stop suggesting what I do with MY shares...How's the moneyflow today??? We got big bucks this time, darn near $5200 spread out over 71,678 shares. Time to rock-n-roll with our girl carrie. Cuppla more daze like this and NASDAQ will be coming to her. I guess that was her plan all along...
bb
...Anyone here know which way the money-flow went today? Good ol' Hartcourt already dun over 15,300 shares. That's darn near $1100 and it is only 2:30!!! Share price is holdin' steady too. Hartcourt sure is a fun stock to own...Goooooooooooooo Carrieeeee
bb
...I hope the "significant inpact" for shareholders is more than dilution. Chen's trademark, and I expect there will be some coming...

Can I make a guess? I think it was Kid Gavilan, the Cuban welterweight who won the championship in 1951, from Johnny Bratton.
bb
ps...I think I heard a HARTbeat today and with more than the recent average volume...
Good for you. It feels nice to make some back, doesn't it?
bb
...ec, never include me in your worries. Why would I sell now? To get some change for a bottle of water or a juice? I'll wait until we are NASDAQ, then sell quickly. There are plenty of shares for sale right now, just no buyers or we would have volume. You want shares? Buy them. You want mine? Make me an offer. But we have gone over that before so why even bring it up...3 hours of Eagles. It's nice to know that the old rockers can still get it done the right way. I got a few favorite old timers I like to see and hear live too. Radiators and Los Lobos to name a couple that can still put on a fine show...
bb
...and it is going to get lower still...JMHBCO...
bb
Is it good or bad?
bb
There is a positive out of all this...The newest version of Hartcourt has done so little that over on the raging rag, they are referring to 1999 and Phan. Gotta hand it to OC though...He stated that when Hartcourt referrs to an IPO, it stands for "Imaginary Phan Offering". Now that is phunny. So thanks for pushing me over there or I would have missed that one.
Yes EC, Hong Kong was nice, but too much time in the air for such a short visit. How were the Eagles in Tahoe?
No Tin, I didn't get close to Shen Zen. That is on the other side of the New Territories which is just past Kowloon. I do have a desire to see the New Territories, but like I said, I had too much to do in too little time. Maybe next time...reallistically speaking though, I doubt I will be in Hong Kong or Mainland China for any extended visits until 2008 or later.
I am relieved to know that I didn't miss anything while I was away. Did anyone here miss me? LOL LOL etc...
bb
No...but I do have a personal invitation in Hong Kong. Thanks for once again for sharing your thoughts, (yes I saw your post was directed to Tin). They mean so much to me. What are you doing this weekend? Got any plans to do any night fishing? Or do you go when they bite, during the day? TTFN...
bb
I bought and sold many times since that blunder. Never making what could have been made during those days. Why am I still here? I've answered that before. As for my bringing that news release up? Just pointing out to a potential new investor that Hartcourt has not done what it says it would do in the past, and there isn't much to indicate things will change, but there is always that chance. Every OTC listed company has a chance. Didn't MSHI recently leave the OTC? And Harvest Energy? So it can be done. Will Hartcourt do it? Been waiting but not holding my breath. I'm leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow. Maybe I'll get a chance to look up some addresses but I don't think so. Gotta lot to do in a short time. I'll be back in the states by Monday night...Enjoy and good luck...
bb
...Here's why I bought in. Note the date of the press release...
Hartcourt Acquires 35 Percent of UAC Stock Exchange On-line
Long Beach, CA. 6/29/99 -- The Hartcourt Companies, Inc. (OTC: HRCT), Tuesday announced that it has agreed to acquire 35 percent of UAC Stock Exchange On-Line Co. Ltd.
UAC operates the first and the only nationwide online trading network in China. UAC 162 Network is a private, virtual, secure communication and computer network system connecting investors to brokerage firms around the country. In addition to stock transactions, the network will soon carry news bulletin and other financial market data.
UAC 162 Network runs on CHINAPAC, an intranet of packet switched data network owned by China Telecom. From a PC, invetsors can dial a local number 162 anywhere in China to trade stocks online. UAC is currently developing a Window CE-based user interface to enable investors accessing the UAC Network via their TV set-top boxes.
UAC system has been operating at one office of Hua Xia Securities in Beijing and the results are excellent, in terms of technology as well as financial. Hua Xia Securities, the second-largest brokerage firm in China, has signed an agreement to install the UAC system in all of its 98 offices nationwide.
As the first and only CHINAPAC operating agent designated by China Telecom, UAC is in a unique position to market the services of CHINAPAC and UAC 162 Network to all brokerage firms in China. At present, there are 4,000 brokerage offices in China serving 40 million investors. UAC's mission is to quickly capture as much market share as possible. Total revenue, excluding the TV set-top box users segment, is projected to exceed $40 million by 2004.
More details on UAC can be found at the company Web site: http://www.162stock.com.
Dr. Alan Phan, chairman and chief executive officer of Hartcourt, said: "We set our goal last year to become a major Internet company in China. As it is not an easy market to enter, we suffered a few setbacks. However, our persistence is rewarded handsomely with this acquisition.
"With its technology and infrastructure, UAC has positioned itself to become the first and major e-trade in China. Its potential is mind-boggling, considering the China stock market is already bigger than the Hong Kong stock market. In my personal opinion, UAC is ready to become another world-class online stock trading company, comparable to those household names in America."
Shi Zhang, chairman and president of UAC, agreed: "The China stock market is growing very fast. To quickly capture the market share and better serve the investment community, we decided to team up with a foreign partner to access the latest technology and world capital markets. Hartcourt is our choice because they have been working on many China projects since 1979, giving them a good understanding of our system, culture and potential. Together, we should meet the projection of our business plan quite easily."
The transaction is scheduled to close within the next 60 days. Hartcourt has the option to increase its 35 percent holding, should the Chinese government change its policy regarding foreign ownership in telecommunication companies, once China is admitted to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Hartcourt and Enova also would like to inform their shareholders and customers that their offices have been relocated to 1198 E. Willow St., Long Beach, Calif. 90806, 562/426-9796.

...I'm still waiting. Care to join me in my wait? Hope you are young and have a lot of time. On the plus side, you don't need much money to buy a few hundred thousand shares...Good luck
bb
That's the way CEO's work? Send an email to someone on a message board? I guess that is one way to start a rumor. Sorta takes the pressure off you. Now you don't have to make up some fraudulent speculative big news story or acquisition...but it is comforting to know that you are ready to help out any rumor circulating about how the new big happenings are in the near, or distant future. Keep up the good work and Gooooooooo HRCT
bb
...Looks like a bit of bailing, or capitulation today. Once we get to below a penny, it may be time to buy back in...
bb
Why would "info" regarding Hartcourt be removed? Anyone know? Was it a cut and paste? A link to info? Or just someone's opinion?
bb
..."As for the postponement of shareholder meeting, we are working to provide you and all the shareholders the details in the shortest time possible."...Oboy,I hope she emails one of us, (WALSH), this time. That would be the fair and professional thing to do.

And here it is...

Antwort von HC auf meine Anfrage bezgl. des verschobenen Sharholder-Meetings.
Dear Mr. xxxx,
Thank you for writing to us.
As for the postponement of shareholder meeting, we are working to provide you and all the shareholders the details in the shortest time possible.
We understand your concern over Hartcourt. The plan to move into profit segment of the IT industry has never changed. The management is working on a few acquisition deals. Acquisituion is a complex process and China’s unique legal, business and industry environments make the work more complex than in a Western country. It does take time to negotiate complex deals, especially for a sizeable deal. We ask for you patience and understanding and thank you for your continuous support to Hartcourt.

Never left Lucky one...stories here, stories there...It's a question of balance. Right Moodyblue? Lucky, why so concerned with my fishing? Accordind to ec, it makes no sense to fish at night. I am learning from you guys. I have deleted all my night-time fishing stories. Fishermen have enough trouble with the truth. They don't need me spreading stories about doing the ridiculous. What was I thinking, fishing at night. I should have done my research first, then I would have known how little sense it makes...What is your name over at raging rag? Or do you just read for amusement?...Go hrct...

Maybe Carrie will take Hartcourt into the online gaming industry. Seems to have attracted some interest of late and some Chinese stocks with affiliations in this field appear to have received some influx of buying interest today. Hartcourt however managed only 39,400 shares traded worth a piddly $3400, and I'm rounding that off to the up side. Perhaps one of you believers who see fit to actually attend the upcoming meeting can suggest they look in that direction. They seem to have the knack of coming up with just the right gem to take us out of these doldrums and onward towards our goal of a NASDAQ listing. You know, I felt so much better about my investment here when I knew we were going to be NASDAQ listed within a year of carries statement regarding such action, but now that has been obscured by reality...Hartcourt shall survive and prsper, and maybe some of us will still be alive when it does...See I am positive on Hartcourt's future...

Hi commoname. Actually I fish mostly freshwater cuz I am located in the middle of many freshwater lakes and reservoirs and it is so easy to leave the house and be on the water in as little as 10 minutes, depending on where I go. I fish mostly for trout, lakers and browns, but there is also good bass fishing for both smallies and largemouth. We have everything here from Walleye to catfish and it is all good fishing and some darn good eatin'too...I don't try to sell anything to the lay person, but I traded my wife for a life long ago...I now have a Filipina who fishes and shares many of my interests. Hey thanks for the civil public response. I don't get many here. Good luck to you in everything you do...
bb
Yes ec, I fish at night. Since you believe nothing that I post, I suggest you ask Jeeves or Google if it is possible to fish at night.
bb
Just seems like a short wait till the meeting. Like I said...Good Luck. If you do well, we all do well. Peace...
bb
You don't want to wait till after the meeting/dilution? You might be able to get them for half price. Just a thought. Everything is a gamble...good luck

All true, and that can be said about most of history. The great USA is the land of the free...but it had to be forcefully taken from the inhabitants and rightful owners of the land. It has always been give and take. Sorry you were affected by the Viet Nam war. How do you feel about our involvement in Iraq?

So are you...
