Oil Hold Above $71 a Barrel

Oil Prices Edge Lower, but Hold Above $71 a Barrel
LONDON (AP) -- Oil prices slipped but held above $71 a barrel on Tuesday amid worries about U.S. gasoline inventories and recent refinery problems.
Light, sweet crude for August delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 5 cents to $71.04 a barrel in electronic trading by afternoon in Europe. The contract had settled at $71.09 on Monday, the first time in 10 months a front-month contract closed that high.

August Brent crude lost 35 cents to $72.37 a barrel Tuesday on the ICE Futures exchange.
Koichi Murakami, an analyst with brokerage Daiichi Shohin in Tokyo, said that some traders might take profits after the rise in the previous session.
"It won't lead to a large fall as sentiment is still firm given high Brent prices, low U.S. gasoline stocks and recent refinery problems," he told Dow Jones Newswires.
Crude futures had risen Monday in the U.S. on a refinery outage in Kansas and new accusations about Iran's role in Lebanon and Iraq.
The closure of a 108,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Coffeyville, Kan., due to flooding reignited concerns about the refining industry's ability to keep pace with summer gasoline demand, analysts said. The Coffeyville Resources refinery can produce 2.1 million gallons of gasoline per day.
Also supporting prices was an accusation by U.S. military spokesman Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Bergner that Iranian forces helped plan a January raid on a government building in Karbala, Iraq. Five American soldiers were killed in the raid.
Bergner also accused Iran of using the Lebanese Shiite militia group Hezbollah as a "proxy" to arm Shiite militants in Iraq.
Geopolitical events and tension in major oil-producing regions support oil prices because of possible supply disruptions.
The U.S. financial markets will be closed Wednesday for the July 4 Independence Day holiday. An increase in driving over the holiday period gives a further boost to deamnd for gasoline.
Heating oil futures on the Nymex dropped fractionally to $2.0553 a gallon while natural gas prices dropped 3.4 cents to $6.730 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Ted oil was hot today PBLS will benefit
any thoughts on abp or wht since u are an oil guy?
OIL is still over 70 and this is good for PBLS despite the nay sayers, PBLS land leases that are tied to the vale of oil so the corilation of oil to pbls is more important than the corilation to oil and the econmy wake up.
If you own a plane you know PBLS fligt operations provide some nice (real)services!!!
with Stocker out of the picture now SUSZ will go up and he settled for a lot less thats the rumor would be nice to geta fast food chain as a customer. this product has a massive end market. The one thing that concerns me is they are suposed to have all the machinery in place but it sounds like they dont yet!! PR would be nice yes back to .10
oil over 70 today nice for PBLS
SUSZ web site back up!
i bet we do!!!
ted oil over 70 thats some nice margins for PBLS, with oil staying over 65 and starting to look like it has a shot to linger in the 70 over the summer PBLS should have some nice cash flow.
off topic do you like abp or wht?
you hearing anything on the oil side??
guy on Bloomberg Radio just said he like the jet engin space right now!! i want the stock to go up but i am afraing management is paying them selves hansomly and screwing uss. we wont know untill they disclose their total compensation and holdings etc
my post yesterday was for information
people need to know that if paul dosent shape up people will draw the worst conclusion. If you countoled a pink sheet company and you could drain it or take it private assuming it is a good biz u most likely wood this is their retirement and they want it. I was bullish on this stock but the lack luster releas (disclosure)is yet another big red flag.
U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION
Litigation Release No. 20154 / June 14, 2007
SEC v. Peter W. Fisher, N. Tyler Fisher, David B. Stocker, Phillip W. Offill, Jr., and Collective Thought Holdings, Inc., Case No. 2:07-CV-12552 (E.D. Mich. filed June 14, 2007)
SEC Charges Securities Attorneys in Penny Stock Scam
The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed suit against the principals of a micro-cap technology company as well as two securities lawyers for their role in an illegal "pump and dump" scheme. The Commission alleges that Arizona attorney David B. Stocker and Texas attorney Phillip W. Offill, Jr. assisted Michigan-based AVL Global, Inc., in a scheme to dump millions of shares of AVL Global stock into the marketplace without any public disclosure of the company's failing operations. In the same action, the Commission also charged Peter W. Fisher and his son, N. Tyler Fisher, the principals behind AVL Global, for their roles in the scheme.
According to the Commission's complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the defendants devised a scheme to deliver millions of AVL Global shares to Peter Fisher — an Ontario resident with a criminal record who secretly controlled the company through his son — as well as various family members, business associates and stock promoters. The Commission alleges that, in late 2005, Peter Fisher and Tyler Fisher then caused AVL Global to issue a series of misleading press releases that touted the company's business prospects when, in reality, AVL Global had essentially abandoned its business and ceased operations. Peter Fisher, who controlled the vast majority of the company's stock, dumped his shares and netted approximately $160,000.
The Commission further alleges that Stocker and Offill arranged a series of sham transactions that helped the company avoid registering the stock sales with the Commission and disclosing to the public AVL Global's true financial position. According to the complaint, the defendants caused AVL Global to issue approximately 15 million shares of stock to bogus investment companies controlled by Offill or Stocker. Stocker falsely claimed that these companies had purchased the stock for "investment purposes" and thus the sales were exempt from registration; however, within days of the supposed investments, the Stocker and Offill entities transferred all the stock to Peter Fisher and his associates, who could then commence dumping the stock into the market.
The Commission's complaint alleges that the defendants violated the registration provisions of the federal securities laws (Section 5 of the Securities Act of 1933), and that Peter and Tyler Fisher violated the antifraud provisions as well (Section 17(a) of the Securities Act, Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 10b-5 thereunder). In its complaint, the Commission seeks some or all of the following relief against each of the defendants: injunctive relief, disgorgement of ill-gotten gains plus prejudgment interest, civil monetary penalties, and a bar from participating in penny stock offerings and from serving as an officer or director of a publicly-traded company.
Without admitting or denying the allegations, AVL Global president Tyler Fisher, of Ontario, Canada, agreed to settle the charges against him. Tyler Fisher agreed to pay a $25,000 civil penalty and consented to an order barring him from serving as an officer or director of a publicly-traded company and from participating in penny stock offerings for five years.
For additional information, see Litigation Release No. 19305 (July 18, 2005).

lets hope they are in the process of updating it!
We where linked to David Stocker some how and I think we won a law suit or it was settled out of court in our favor. If anyone is in Vegas can u report back if u see our shshi!
has anyone gotten their dividend from the perfered yet? its a bond and i dont understand why they need to count it in the float because it is only convertable from equity to debt and you retain voting rights. IT IS NOT CONVERTABE BACK INTO STOCK
I participated in the .03 buy back and got a check but the 5yr duration is just so long.
the way i look at it is you are convertiing into a bond and that lowers the float and os
the perfered shares seem more like callable bonds than pefered stock because they exipre and return capital + int! so OS- the 2 class pefered is the better picture. AM i right because i dont see that the perfered stock can be converted into common and likei said it has a limited life!
well if they are short they are screwed this new las will clean up the game some
The Securities and Exchange Commission voted Wednesday .......and approved another change to tighten rules intended to curb manipulative short sales, including so-called "naked" short sales.
......Longstanding, persistent delivery failures seem to be due to the grandfather protections and a shield for short positions held by option market makers, Cox said. He said delivery failures hurt investors and companies, and may be a sign of naked short selling.
"It continues to be a problem, particularly in the microcap space," Cox told reporters after the SEC meeting......
.......A second change approved by the SEC modifies Regulation SHO, which the agency adopted in 2004 to curb abusive short sales. The SEC voted unanimously Wednesday to eliminate a controversial exception to the 2004 rule that shielded existing short positions from a Regulation SHO requirement to deliver hard-to-borrow shares within 13 days of settlement. Once the change takes effect, short positions previously protected by the grandfather clause must be closed out within 35 days.
....To shed light on delivery failures, the SEC plans to make aggregateDepository Trust Co. data available on the SEC Web site shortly, after removing certain confidential information from the data feed already supplied to regulators by the DTC. Agency staffers said providing hard data on delivery failures may reduce the number of requests the SEC has received for such data under the Freedom of Information Act.
.......Additionally, the SEC adopted a requirement for brokers marking a sale as an outright "long" sale to document the location of the shares being sold

lets see how the shorts will cover, very interesting, HA HA
guess it will be after the bell today or over the weekend buy then why they are cheep
people are afraid of dilution via mergers, but they have a good track record so give the the benefit of the doubt. The simple fact that AF will be released means we will gap to .06 the when we get the capital stucture and per share data AUDITED we could see .14 on the low end to .42 on high end of course as we get more info .42 could easly be a low end number.
any bets on the NEWS being pre open, during the trading day, or after the close??? I hope it is between 9:30 and 10
I like that so wat are peoples fair and full valuation when we dont have financials ie what is your guess. oh yah i think we will have a plethora of good news not just 1 release but many.
when the mm fad the bid when the mkt is .033 by .034 to .032 most likely their is still a bid at .033 they just arent showing it trying to sucker some one int selling
a run should be expected friday as shorts dont want to risk beeing short over the weekend because of the potential of an early release. .06 i dont see any bairier their because once we get their the only thing to do is buy stock
OF COURSE GOOD FINANCIALS TRUP ALL THINGS EXCEPT A TAKE OUT AT $1
no i think the news comes out over the weekend you only have 2 days in my opinion
i think you only have untill friday
"MADISONVILLE, LA--(MARKET WIRE)--May 7, 2007 -- Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate (Phoenix) (Other OTC:PBLS.PK - News) today announced that the Company, under the guidance of its SEC counsel, James E. Pratt, is in the process of completing its financial disclosure information for filing with Pink Sheets to insure that its shareholders and the investing public are provided with adequate current information. The Company expects to have this package of full financial disclosure information posted on the Pink Sheets website on or before June 15, 2007."
i would suspect that the filing takes place over the weekend before the 15th so friday is my guess as the last day of trading with out financials
8 days left before we we gap to .06 whicjh is parity with the prefered shares
we will get many new investores if we keep this up like it
starting to feel like we will make a move to .06 to be a parity with the perfered deal
feels like news coming monday!
ok i am hung-over and just woke up wats going on today why r we up?
.025 come on
15 days left as of tomorrow. Look for inceased voltility in the stock if you are flipping in i suggest u cut orders zizes down and do multiple offers at multiple levels the same on the buy side. Volitility is going to explode. as alwayse i maintain a core position but have shifted a larger percent twords flipping. This is my opinion and we wont know if the numbers are good or not untill we get a look at the (validated) financials
