Ozone—What's all the fuss about?
To help understand the hype about the technology that is helping propel AMFE up the charts, I thought I'd put together a bit of information on ozone—what it is and why it's so important to MJ growers (and growers of other crops, as well) in case you don't know.
There are two types of naturally occurring ozone in our atmosphere—good stuff, in the upper atmosphere, and the bad stuff, closer to us. Focusing on the good stuff here.
Oxygen, also known as O2--due to it having two oxygen molecules--makes up a large part of our atmosphere. Pure oxygen, O, is rare, as oxygen molecules tend to want to stick to each other and hang around in pairs. The sun's UV rays are able to break the bonds of O2 atoms, and because of their tendency to not want to be alone, some of these solitary atoms find their way to an O2 molecule to form ozone, or O3. O3 is a very unstable molecule, however, and breaks down very quickly (has a short half life), and has an incredible ability to oxidize almost everything it comes into contact with. For example, interacting with copper, the ozone breaks down and the spare oxygen atom bonds with a copper atom (Cu) to form copper oxide (CuO). All that is left then is the oxygen (O2).
Cu + O3 --> CuO + O2
With prolonged exposure to ozone, it's goodbye copper.
It's actually this oxidization property that makes ozone so helpful to the MJ growers.
As has been mentioned in the news recently, one of the biggest problems MJ growers have is mold (among plenty of other things). Relatively low concentrations of ozone in the growing environment allows the ozone to break down the mold, killing it completely. This happens when the ozone attaches itself to the cells of the growing mold. Essentially, the O3 attaches itself to the cell wall of the mold, and due to it's volatile nature, breaks down very quickly to leave a tiny hole in the wall as the 'spare' oxygen molecule breaks away. Not much on its own, but when you consider the countless numbers of ozone molecule attaching themselves to the cell, all breaking down very quickly, the cell is damaged beyond the point of being of any use. Dead cells means dead mold. And, as ozone itself breaks down quickly and completely, there is no residue. Chemical treatments are to be avoided due to them leaving a residue which can be equally bad for the MJ grower, though they may be completely natural (even a milk and water mix can kill mold). Bottom line is that if left unchecked, mold can completely ruin an entire crop, possibly worth many hundreds of thousands of dollars for the grower. Ozone can be used to counter all sorts of other pests, and can even sterilize the growing environment as it attaches itself to airborne bacteria and breaks those down, too—completely inhibiting bacterial growth.
Additionally, ozone can be used to purify water. Adding O3 to water will break down compounds and bacteria to the point where they are not soluble (or dead), and can then be removed by subsequently filtering the water to remove any residue. Lots more technical stuff, that isn't needed, could go here. Suffice to say, ozone cleans water, too.
Ozone can be harmful to anything that grows, even us, but in the quantities that are generated for commercial use, the ones that fear ozone the most are the tiny things--like mold spores, bacteria, etc., as ozone is a phenomenal sterilizer.
As far as Amfil is concerned, check out the link to see what they have to say about their system grozone.biz
Their technology has also “...passed product review by accredited USDA certifying agent to be used in organic agricultural production in California and Pennsylvania.”
More AMFE, please.
Oh, Mr Rocketstocks
I hope that question wasn't directed at me :)
I'm a humble carpenter and corporate trainer.
But a merger would be a mutual benefit to both parties as they support each other in a market that is about to expand exponentially. From a grow point of view, the stackable rotary hydoponics tech is, in my opinion, the only feasible way to grow massive quantities of stock in the smallest area possible. The GroZone tech is the only way to guarantee zero residue, in this world of organic-loving MJ users.
A merger at this point puts both companies in much stronger positions.
My 2 cents.
I like this news...
On the surface it might not seem like a huge revelation, but there is a lot of information in the article that suggests an additional stream of income for the company (as if they aren't going to have enough), and great news for the growers that have already purchased the mentioned hydroponic systems.
The fact that the EcoPro 3 is going to be an add-on could drastically reduce the cost of a complete system for the grower. Rather than buy the hydro system and then have to purchase the EcoPro serperately, complete integration means that it is infinitely scalable--as the grow op increases in size, the ozone distribution system grows with it, ensuring that the ozone dosages are always consistent from one unit to another. "...providing full automation of plant rotation, nutrient delivery, hydration, and fully organic antimicrobial and sanitation process." Set it and forget it, almost.
Growers already using the company's hydro system can retroactively fit the EcoPro 3 to their existing units, eliminating the cost of buying one large machine and rigging it to supply X number of hydro units. A much cleaner solution (if you'll excuse the pun).
If the fact that the GroZone tech is the cleanest system available, isn't enough, reduced costs could be the proverbial straw when it comes to a grower's decision to move away from pesticides.
Added to which the deal is with a well-established company that already has a customer base that GroZone can take advantage of immediately with it's 'add-on' system.
This is a win for the hydroponics company, Amfil, and us.
I picked up 40k over the past couple of days that Ill keep medium term and cash in when I need a lump sum ($1 would certainly be nice at that point!). The initial 300K are locked in for the long haul, for sure.
I completely get it.
I (and my family) have never had much luck with money. Never unlucky, but it was just something that alluded us. We'd have friends who win amounts all the time, and get left a house, or a car--almost like money attracts money. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with this--hell, I'd be more than happy if it happened to me, so I don't begrudge anyone.
Now, thanks to people like Rocketstocks, I genuinely feel like it's my turn.
I want to call my mother and say "hey, remember how you always said we were just not born with the $ gene? Well guess what.. things are going to change. Things are going to be ok." But I can't. Not yet, at least. Part of me is SO confident, but I'm trying to be realistic, too.
The thing is, regardless of how much this makes, at worst I know for certain I am not going to come out of it having made a loss. And that, in my opinion, is all I need to confirm that this is absolutely the right move. And at best, well, it can be (fingers crossed) a complete life changer.
Keep kickin' A$$, AMFE!
Here ya go
L2
I think that they were saying that it wouldn't take much to make changes AFTER the deal is made.
Friend just managed to get 123k, so that's another chunk off the market for a while :)
I managed another 9k..
KICK A$$, AMFE
Amfil, don't forget the dispensaries!
Make flyers available to dispensaries that stock products grown using the GroZone technology. Consumers want the best product available, and dispensaries are also going to be pushing the growers to produce quality MJ. Help them advertise the fact that that's what they supply and educate them on the technology so that they can pass the information on to the consumer (if you need a corporate trainer, hit me up ;) )!
ANY use of chemicals during the grow process is going to be a gamble. The GroZone tech is going to do for growers what it's doing for us, as shareholders--pretty much eliminating risk. Yes, the units can be expensive, but the grow facilities that need the million-dollar units are going to be the ones who can afford them, and can't afford to be without them.
The stories coming out about the problems being caused by the use of chemicals sprayed onto the plants, 'organic' or otherwise, is a double-edged sword. It's absolutely tragic that someone has lost his life to (potentially) 'bad' product, but the MJ industry has been walking on eggshells for a long time, now, and if it's going to be nationally accepted (61% of Americans support legalisation, according to the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research this time last year), it has to start on the right footing. The costs associated with 'getting it wrong' are going to be far higher down the line, if growers don't adopt best practices from the start.
There are few 'medicines' as talked about as MMJ, and so many people are waking up to the benefits of it, that it needs to prove itself in more ways than just it's medicinal benefits. How many prescription meds list side effects potentially worse that the disease you are trying to cure?Side effects of MMJ? Drowsiness, euphoria, dry mouth, etc., so long as you don't factor in possible chemical side effects, which growers, dispensaries, and consumers absolutely don't want to have to worry about.
To me it's pretty obvious what growers need to do, and they need to do it fast--2018 isn't that far away. And even if GroZone were the ONLY product Amfil had under its hat, we could feel just as confident buying shares i the company as we do now.
Thank you, $$AMFE.
A very welcome one.. My friend is desperately trying to get her trading account active. They say by 9.30 tomorrow morning--hopefully PPS stays low enough first thing to give her a good chance to get a decent amount.
After that, let it run!
Kick A%%, AMFE
I'd say that it's barely started.
I'm up 47.79%, and I know I got in a lot later than others. Even at that I think it has barely started.
Kick A$$, AMFE!
As crazy as this may sound...
3 months (60 days of trading, rounded)
At 3% daily gain, closing share price = 0.337; 100,000 shares = $33,700
At 5% daily gain, closing share price = 1.068; 100,000 shares = $106,800
At 7% daily gain, closing share price = 3.315; 100,000 shares = $331,500
At 9% daily gain, closing share price = 10.069; 100,000 shares = $1,006,900
So somewhere between $33,700 and $1,006,900 for every 100,000 shares held.
The question then becomes: If, hypothetically, it were to rise by 9% every day, at what point would you cash in if you weren't sure it was going to maintain a steady increase?
Hopefully my math is correct. Please delete this post if not :)
Just got a few more into the pot (damn money didn't clear yesterday), and have a friend about to join the family.
Oh, and GOOD MORNING< AMFE lovers!
My guess is that there is one empty seat but, to be fair, he had to stand up to take the photo...
;)
Kick A$$, AMFE!

Snakes did get a mention in the article..
"They already had an extensive game collection, and John had heard about a cafe in Toronto named Snakes & Lattes – the menu listed games rather than meals – that had sparked the spread of board-game cafes across North America"
I love this, from Wil Wheaton, further down in the article:
"Multi-player video-gaming was fun,” says Wil Wheaton. “And then dickheads ruined it. It just became this cesspool of toxic aggression and unpleasant behaviour. I wonder if people who had enjoyed all that at first started looking for another way to play games where you could see the person you were playing with."
I left the correct spelling of the word 'behaviour' in there... lol
I used to play COD online, but it didn't take long to get fed up with the 'toxic aggression' that Wil is talking about. Now we actually DO play board game here at home, with one of our favourites being Pandemic, and when we have company, Cards Against Humanity.
Good times!

GroZone mentioned a little later too, thanks to another caller.
It really is a big deal, so I'm not in the least bit surprised that it's making headlines, such as it is clearly doing on this show. He's absolutely right about making sure that CA MJ is safe--it wouldn't take much to stop entire grows, and as has been said, the Grozone investment is really a no-brainer for the growers at this point.
Solid mention! I wonder if he has something invested? ;)
An amazing week. Thanks to all of the 'big dogs' who have been helping us understand this all the more. Looking forward to next week and, of course, there's a long weekend to get through before this all starts again on Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend, however you might spend it, and I look forward to seeing AMFE kick more A$$ next week!
AMFE - So easy, even *I* can do it.
Up one penny from my purchase price. I've never made so much in one week.
Thank you AMFE.
Time to kick more A$$
If it's big news in the MJ world, and I were a betting man, which I'm clearly not given most of my pot is filled with AMFE, it'll probably be announced next Thursday.
Who could resist 4/20? :)
I don't remember the last time I set my alarm on days I don't have to work!
Now it's set to wake me every morning just before the open, if I'm not already awake.
And it's nice to see the sun rise, too :)
I'm in.
I wish I could be in more, but I'm in ;)
Not sure I'd be able to sleep! Glad you have found something that can help get rid of that.
I think it's fair to say that in for 1000 or 1 mil, this can, surely, only have a positive impact on us all.
GLTU.
Kick A%%, AMFE!
I'd been searching for just about everything I could find as it related to penny stocks and swing trading, which is what I was interested in. I found my way to one of the Penny Trading -Technical message boards and found it full of information, and followed the crumbs back to this one. It didn't take a lot of DD to see it was worth putting SOMETHING into--as scary as that was--so I bought up 100K.
More research meant more shares, but I have to stop at 300k, sadly. Hoping that the MJ world opens right up soon. Not sure how it can be held at bay for much longer by big pharma. Also have some domain names ready to go up for sale as soon as it does.
So I'm in for the foreseeable future, and if my other pick keeps working the way it is, I'll be able to keep this one long term; just putting it out there, but maybe even into the dollars?
Glad to have found the board, for obvious reasons, but also because I am learning a huge amount JUST by reading a lot of the posts here. I'm working with a free trial from Equity Feed, but seeing other trackers that look very feature rich. Any advice for someone new to it but who has a soft spot for tech? Hell, ANY advice would be gratefully received.
GLTA! Let's hope $AMFE really is a life changer--even for those with smaller investments (and student loans..). Wishing you all the best on this, forceofnature.
!! Time to kick a$$ !!
300k here (.0377 avg), in three purchases of 100K as I got more comfortable with what I was buying. Like Chris Tappy this is the first time I have dipped my toe into the pool (if you don't count the stock purchase at my previous company, but I just surrendered some of my paycheck, so all the fun and 'magical' bits were done for me!).
Very excited to be a part of this, trying to be realistic about what to expect, and studying everything that the 'big boys' write, in order to help me moving forward.
Thank you all for being part of such a supportive group. I can't wait to see what the future is going to bring.
Another 15k added. Just wish it could be more at this price.
Thank you!
And it seems that Roto-Gro's 420 model IS stackable - missed it the first time around (bad!).
Looks like a lot of plants to cram in there (420, who'd have guessed?), but as the focus is on only one cola per plant, it'll certainly work..
Rotary. Stackable.

Legislation Filed
For those that missed it:
Marijuana Treated Like Alcohol? Legislation Filed In Senate and House.
Senator Ron Wyden and Representatives Earl Blumenauer and Jared Polis have introduced legislation in the House and Senate — The Marijuana Revenue and Regulation Act — to permit states to establish their own marijuana regulatory policies free from federal interference. In addition to removing marijuana from the United States Controlled Substances Act, this legislation also removes enforcement power from the US Drug Enforcement Administration in matter concerning marijuana possession, production, and sales — thus permitting state governments to regulate these activities as they see fit.
Story here.
Goodbye GDDY. It's been fun, but we both know it couldn't last. Just so you know--it wasn't you, it was me. I needed something with more of a return, and you just weren't doing it for me any more.
Just bought a third bucket of AMFE. Over the past 24 hours I swapped out 300 GDDY for 300k AMFE (crazy deal!). MJ is certainly the way to go, now.
Thanks to all of the DD that's made it that much easier for the rest of us: those on the stickies, and those posting updates!
"Please return your tables to their upright positions ready for take off on this AMFE flight 039. Don't worry if our flight number increases before we land--this is perfectly normal and is the most attractive feature of this particular stock. Enjoy the ride!"
My first 'big' buy. I'm in. Let's see if it's a life changer :)
