I've noticed that over the last couple of years, BM's not been any more accurate than any of us with his reporting or predictions. Not saying he's wrong, but I'll wait for more corroboration from more sources before I place a lot of weight on what he writes.

Just for grins and, hypothetically of course, if what Oily says is true and were XOM and Sinopec to be in a bidding contest over ERHE's block 2%, my money'd be on XOM to persevere. Of the two, they've got the stroke to get anything approved through the U.S. authorities. (even though SNP'd probably offer more $$$.) IMO, the DOJ investigation, regardless of what it may be all about, ensures that anything SNP could offer will be shot down under the guise of U.S. national interests. As a red-blooded American(and now a Texan to boot), it sure gives me mixed feelings.

Here's an idea. Brez, could you "borrow" a fighter. Jet and do some low level flyovers of the G.O.G then report any drill ship sidhtings? : )

This is like deja vu all over again. Last time we were here I was able to significantly reduce my cost basis. Would do the same this time but a new baby and home construction won't allow. Based upon Keeney's conversation with Art, I'm beginning to be of the mind that the ERHC Energy staff should be paid only for the work they actually complete. This could naturally be monitored by us shareholders! This will save a tremendous amount of G&A expense for us. Of course, if they chose to routinely keep us advised on what they're actually working on, I might change my opinion.

Hey BB - Good morning. Just was looking at the dates of the last couple of Keeney PR updates. 9/11 and 10/11. Today being the 9th and tomorrow a Friday, and based on his pattern, I'd think Dan would be putting out his monthly update today, tomorrow or Monday. Hopefully it will be substantive.

It's nice to at least be getting a monthly update from ERHC which is more than we had been getting prior to Luca. If I recall correctly we are at the mercy of our operator partners when it comes to announcements of drilling etc. I am looking for a couple of things to occur by year's end (pure speculation BTW); that we fill vacant mgmt slots and/or a merger/acquisiton/buy-in. If the latter occurs I will be a happy guy. Incidentally I have no inside track on any info. My opinion is based on inferences from pr's and board postings.

Intuitively, why else would we need a technical person? Hopefully that drilling schedule comes soon!

I agree Tryoty. A couple of other angles (wild speculations really):
1. bringing on a Technical VP is a way of thumbing their nose at potential buy-in/out suitors. Like saying, "we tried to play ball with ya, but your offer didn't cut it. We'll go it alone..." or,
2. The Technical VP choice may be an "advance" person. If they've got Addax, Sinopec or CVX on their resume it'll be a real peak under the tent. We have a saying in Oklahoma that such a situation brings to mind, "If it'd been a snake it woulda bit me..."

I get the impression(for the first time) that ERHE mgmt and BOD is finally regaining some traction. The VP of Technical Ops really intrigued me as did the mention of handing over Frank's personnel records. I am anxious to see where pps goes. Gut says this news will disrupt some folks' strategies.
