Just about every bad thing is ultimately good for somebody. Frenetic trading may not be a good idea for the individual investor, and more and more hedge funds may not be good for the securities markets in general, but it's all good news for Bank of New York (NYSE: BK).
Just thought I would post a statistic.
Outstanding Shares: 103,898,223 based on (10Q filed 5-12-2006)
Based on this info.
If GTE had 30,000 share holders, each holder would need to hold an average of 3,463 shares to own the OS. 3,463 at .69 is $2,389 worth.
If we were to Acquire the entire LOT of 250,000,000 as in 250 mil equals 8,333 shares at .69 = $5749.00 Not including institutions or insiders.
Anyone want to call for a share re-count?

I'll have to agree with you there, especially if AMEX plays this to the tune of holier than thou. IMO, the Amex has made things very difficult for our company.
I also find it amusing how everyone here is so quick to blame the company when in fact; the corruption in itself is what is causing the decline. If there weren’t any naked shares and our pps was at these levels, then I would understand, but that is not the case. The US market is responsible for the failures of many U.S. companies. I say it's about time we do something about this.
The article did go through on L-2 Fidelity.
Curious if GTE is delisted, what will happen to all the naked shares? Would it not require proof of stock ownership from all parties?

I received a letter from ADP via my Fidelity account, informing me of an inadvertent disclosure of some of my stock holdings to an unauthorized third party. Stated the details and contains a long list of the securities that were affected. HISC, GTE, and PTSC are on the list. We also find it ironic that these stocks have all plummeted since the disclosure. Not sure if that is relative to the investigation, but no stone is being left unturned.
Our attorney is looking into the matter to see if ADP should be held responsible and what information about my accounts was leaked. Also, looking into the matter about who requested this information and how it affected my accounts.
Other than that, that's about it.

Letter is dated June 23rd, 2006. Our Attorney is looking into the matter to see what it all means.

The commercial you speak of was an ad for IBM solutions. They weren't advertising any device other than a solution to a wide variety of business needs. Believe me; if it's a device, I'm on it. I was at CES in January and couldn't find anything that comes close to what the CT is capable of doing. If you see any device out there, don't hesitate to ask.

Look at it like an ON-Star system on steroids. You have access to all of the features without having to go through a support center. If you want to know where your On-star powered vehicle is, you have to call them. With the CT you have all of your information and control available to you whenever you want it.
The market usually moves ahead on speculation. It happened before, it'll happen again. MM's will need to cover soon. They can't justify this downtrend much longer.

IMO, they need to have a plan. Bring on financials and some buybacks and then maybe we can talk about a R/S. I would prefer one to go along with the move to a higher exchange. IMO, Reducing the OS is a good thing, but it also depends on how they do it.

Got in around $1 before the run to $2. Swinging, but holding a core. IMO, anything under $1 is a steal.

Stratospheric Sky Stations
This is a new way to call people and use the Internet with the technologies developed by an Australian company - communications platforms, kept stationary in the stratosphere. Instead of using a satellite or a wired phone, users can get all the digital service they need from a stratospheric telecommunications service.
The atmospheric layer that extends 8 to 50 kilometers from the earth's surface is the stratosphere. This is where the ozone layer lies, and where, in its lower portions, the Concorde and some military aircraft fly; but far above commercial planes - twice as far in fact. The temperature is fairly constant in the stratosphere and weather, as we know it on Earth, is not a factor.
The stratosphere is high enough to give satellite-like communications coverage. It is low enough to keep user equipment inexpensive with long battery life. The stratosphere uniquely allows you to put a communications platform exactly where you want it - at a constant high elevation angle to millions of people.
The station is an airship powered by proprietary station keeping technology that lasts up to ten years and holds telecommunications equipment. Each platform has a cost equivalent to a satellite, and works similarly, but offers much higher elevation angles to avoid signal blockage and requires no costly rocket launch.
Propellers and plasma fields may be used to keep the station platforms stationary over metropolitan regions without causing pollution. The propulsion systems are powered by regenerative solar panels during the day and fuel cells at night. In addition, a thermal management system keeps altitude maintained at a constant level.
Each stratospheric platform will house its communications payload and fuel cells within a skin made of durable, lightweight fabrics. The top of the platform is covered with high-efficiency solar cells. The propulsion system will power the platform to its position in the stratosphere, and keep it stationary against wind pressure. The platform will be held aloft by its non-combustible helium filled structure.
Stations can provide high quality digital communications service (telephone, videophone, Internet, World Wide Web) to major population centers. Platforms will be deployed based on signed agreements with national telecommunications operators. Each platform contains 800-2000 cells, supporting up to three to six million subscribers at a cost of $60 million.
Estimates are that high-speed digital service will cost less than one dollar per day. Phone calls and Internet downloads in developing countries should cost no more than a few cents per minute.

The fact that the account is increasing at a rate much better than market performance makes investing in their account a much better value. We're investing on growth. Sort of the way every other stock, bond, commodity and mutual fund grows. Am I right?
