Acumen, your firsthand knowledge of Christen probably has put you in this blind rage.He belongs in Sanswire's past with the rest of the gang that couldn't shoot straight. You gotta get over it man.
Acumen, I know. "Sour" is my take. You do have a gift for the written word which I have always admired. What would it take to have you come back from the dark side of this endeavor? You know the history of this drama. Do you still think it is a scam? What will you be thinking when/if the testing in Yuma is successful and WSGI gets DOD approval?
Acumen, LOL, and thanks also for enriching all of us over the years with your sharp wit and insight. Too bad it turned sour for you.
Hi jet, glad to see you back. I won't argue your point at the present time. However I think it is too early to make a judgement about the merger considering that GTC is a certified DOD contractor. Let's give it time to play out.
Run, wishful thinking - yes
depressing - absolutely not
informative - very much so
One day soon it will be us
Keep them coming Nil.
Sami, it worked for me.
Mide, well O.K. I will try.I was at the SHM also as stated before.
You have reported so well and so accuraterly that I didn't see the need to add anything. Regarding the "other" board I was banned from that a while ago but that is another story.
Mike Clark toward the end of his presentation tried to politely address the issue of the "blogs" as he said and " take the bullets of disinformation out of the gun". The issue was the alledged botched meeting with FEMA officials some time ago.He confirmed that there was a meeting or conference call with some low level FEMA officials regarding the purchase by FEMA of Argus airships.I use the word "purchase" for lack of a better word here because as Mike said FEMA historically does not have any money. They are given money in time of a federal disaster as in the case of Katrina by congress. So the question of buying an airship appeared to be fairly remote from the outset of the meeting. Also if I remember correctly he said they were fairly adament about WSGI giving them all the specifications on how the ship flew. Mike said that information is not for public consumption period.
My take on this meeting after Mike's explanation was that this whole affair was "A tempest in a teapot" if you know what I mean.
Mide, if I may reply ,I think Mike said there could be competition in that regard. Also, in yesterday's press release ( last paragraph ) mention is made of a pod bay underneath the second segment to carry plug and play payload. By putting a payload on the second segment you get clear of engine vibration and prop wash , etc. It only makes sense to remove the payload from the first segment which is carrying the propulsion ( engine )gear. I assume this has been made possible because of the changes that have been made in the gas bag configuration of each segment including a helium bag for lift. To take this one step further, the third segment may possibly be used for payload. IMO.
Throw all the numbers out the window and start over. The winds of change are blowing strongly. Sorry Hale D... That was a poor analogy.
The market will determine fair market value once the contracts start coming in. IMO.
Mide, nice meeting you at the meeting so that now I can put a face with the name. your comments concerning what happened at the meeting are extremely accurate. Thanks for your insights.
My recollections of the airships are that the STS-111 and the Skysat were both shipped back from Germany to Easton, Md. and both were in poor condition. This occurred in July/August of last year.
Bank, well put in all of your posts. This " delay " is not a bad thing. It is a very good indicator of how successful the test flights went in Easton, Maryland.Other DOD contractors who were formerly only interested in the Argus are now clamoring to test their equipment on this aerial platform ,imo, before the official demonstration in Yuma, Arizona. New management has taken this show to another level, folks.
I think the ship has performed flawlessly and I am very excited about our future.
Mide, good post. You have identified the problem.IMO
Warp,just read this thread.Please get a grip.
You have been such a positive influence over the years. Don't blow it.
New management is playing by the rules set up by the SEC.Remember, they cleaned up the mess left behind by the gang that couldn't shoot straight. You want to go backwards or forward?
be real, no problem and my post more accurately should have read that GTC has a revenue stream.Looking to be pleasantly surprised when those financials are reported.Who would have thought a year ago we would be where we are today. Quite a turn-around IMO.
be real, you are probably half right with your statemant about this being an R & D company. Don't forget the newly merged subsidiary, GTC , that is doing business every day with revenue coming in. The other half should be in that position shortly when contracts are received.
Warp, I think you are correct in your assessment of the Hudson Bay debacle. All things being equal it will probably take three months to clear these toxic shares out of the system put there as a result of former management team actions.Heavier volume might clean it up sooner, though.
IMO it is surprising that the share price has held up as well as it has meaning buying is still somewhat strong.
As far as the shareholders meeting is concerned, again IMO, the share price is almost immaterial after this Hudson Bay debacle. What will be important is present and future plans to make this a strong viable profitable company.
Warp, in going back to the original 8-K of 6 September, 2006 on this agreement and rereading it ,I recalled the phrase "toxic money" which was being raised by a few here. Tim huff was the CEO at the time.
The modus operendi of these lenders was/is to dump their shares into the market no matter what in order to make a profit.Their is nothing illegal about that as long as everyone knows the consequences.
The placement agent for this transaction at the time was Westor Capital Group who received a nice sum for their work.Do you or anyone for that matter know who Westor Capital Group is?
Run, As per the April 14 P/R
"The Company expects to carry out such flight testing operations and demonstrations during a two week period in May/June 2011 and plans on conducting a series of tests ranging from ground based tactical launch scenarios to both tethered and free flight operations. The Company has been working with the DoD to finalize a flight safety plan relating to such test operations and will set the actual dates of the testing and demonstrations once such safety plan has been approved."
Since the company has not announced any dates for testing yet, I would say no testing has been done at Yuma.IMO
The news story and headline is carried on Marketwire. But on the Dow Jones wire it only gives the headline and says story to follow or words to that effect. Is the news out there or not?
Vinney, well the share price does not tell me that the company is in good shape because it is anemic at best. But I am not going there anymore. The market dynamic should correct it as the street learns more about what is happening going forward.
O.K., your're right Clark told me.(LOL)
Runandadd, (LOL) What you just opined is an irrational opinion from a troubled investor. The company is doing just fine.
Run, I don't think it is a question of being right or wrong. We are describing the performance of this company from two different perspectives and yes, the results are most important no matter what perspective. The share price is the final result. On that philosophical note it's wait and see.
Jet ,as usual, you are biased in the negative direction. Remember they have been invited to Yuma to demonstrate their Argus 1.IMO this will happen in weeks not years.
Also remember that this is the new management that is making this happen. The old group used smoke and mirrors. This group is using real live action to get results. Refreshing isin't it.
Warp, I thought it was grant money coming from federal grants.
Didn't Space florida get 35 Million dollars of federal grant funds? I am not sure on this funding.
Agree with all. It's the seed money to get WSGI there so it can show it's wares and provide valuable data in the process. Most importantly it is another validation process by a government agency to launch WSGI forward.IMO
Gary 17368, not to worry. Remember, Huff is in jail.Yesterday's action was very positive IMO.I believe that the momo will continue based on the solid foundation that has been laid down.GLTA
Mide, I don't think anyone is proping this stock up.For the last ten months with all the major developments happening and direction by new management the stock has not budged. It appears that the stock is trying to seek it's proper level now that the wall at .09 has been taken down.IMO
Rag and Jet, with all due respect you guys are soooo wrong.
The old days are over. The new management is here to do meaningful business. Feel free to make as many comments as you wish. Watch and learn.
Jet, good answer.eom
gtel1,so then it would be west of the Easton airport tower and west of the temporary hangar? Great. That would put it directly across the field from the L3 production facility. The Eastcor production facility! I like the sound of it.Or the Sanswire production facility, whatever. And it is just down the road from ILG Dover.Perfect.
Be_real,you are correct.It can't be a "make believe" contract.
gtel1, Wow, thanks for the heads up.Do you know where in Easton it is being built? At the airport or at another location? TIA
Jet, please excuse the attack. And, yes I went over the line just as I believe you did in your post.Regardless, your arguement can be proven wrong with a contract, correct?
gtel1, Sanswire P/R'd that in a P/R of 07/08/10
Warp, very plausible scenario with the numbers but we will see shortly for sure. Also keep in mind that there is (GTC),the primary company which we are talking about here- Global Telesat Corporation.
There is also a (GTC)- Global Telesat Communications which was mentioned as selling phones and airtime minutes on e-bay, I think.
David Phipps is involved with both.
Trader_ King, wow you nailed it - dead -on but could you explain the second part of your post..."won't last long".
Do you or someone you know have a "wall up" on this little stock?
TRADER please respond. Is there a conspiracy to put a lid on this stock to embarrass present management possibly by the old management in order to regain POWER? PLEASE explain your comment.
Trader king, why do you say that?
IS THERE A TRADER out there? LIKE IN BRUTUS.
Sami, The picture of the airship in the Sanswire hangar is either an old STS-111, a new reworked STS-111, or a new Argus? In any event it is now called the Argus-1.
It is interesting that in #2 of the settlement agreement between Sanswire and Tao mention is given that Sanswire is obligated to pay for goods received from ILC Dover.Possibly parts or another airship that was ordered for one or both of them but which Sanswire has taken the obligation to pay.Who knows, maybe this is the Argus-1, maybe not.
