BH, while I agree with wanting the same information or clarity I am dubious as to the company's flexibility in revealing said info while an NDA is in place..I think the company and new executives have learned this lesson of revealing to much to soon.
I am hoping (anticipating) for "new" news though.
Mark S
Thanks B...you as well...there just needs to be better coverage from our news outlets on matters like these instead of 24/7 coverage of the presidential race (why is it so long?) or the latest winners on " Dancing with the Stars".

I know when my Father was in the hospital a little over a year ago for hip surgery he contracted the MRSA Virus but the Dr.'s and nurses didn't seem to take it that serious (they see so much of it). My Dad was in and out of the Rehab facility and on a Saturday he was rushed back to the Hospital with a severe fever...he was given Vancomycin and I remember at the time I wished Brilacidin was available then because of it's fast acting single dose instead of 7-10 days of Vanco...Sepsis needs quick response and my Dad passed away at 5 AM...it all happened so fast...I think Jim Cramer's father also passed in a similar fashion after an operation/procedure.
Sepsis is a leading "common pathway to death". I am hoping CTIX can move into a phase III trial in the coming months.
Unless you feel the science/catalysts are to your liking then buying on the way up at 5,8 or 10 warrants a buy in one's opinion and risk management is in your comfort level.
IMO
Have a great weekend all...this week was positive for sure.
LR I always appreciate your time and efforts...however, I am inclined to give you the name " Captain Nitpick"...
He did speak of Biofilms but no specifics...maybe the company involved still wants to remain anonymous...
I liked the overall presentation though...Br B certainly can't be called out for Hyperbole...Just the facts if not even understated.
Yes Odd Thomas...that was odd, even for you...
A great day for CTIX and it's shareholders indeed and after a year of that dark cloud hanging over it we finally see some blue skies and the Sun emerging.
As for going forward I think Judge K. Polk Failla and her court has Rule 11 at her disposal and the Federal Courts have title 28, section 1927 at their ready. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman can use his office as well and lastly let's not forget the SEC...should not have to come from action by CTIX but if the company or Mike Sullivan/John Ashcroft want to go after Mako or "seeking Alpo" I hope they do it behind the scenes and we only hear of it after all is done.
It is time to move forward with our amazing pipeline and positive trials and turn this ship around.
Blue skies from here on out!
All IMO and have a great weekend.

Official PR from Newswire.com has put out an outline of the MP Advisors report dated today...
After first read I found this a comprehensive and factual 32 page report.
A must read IMO for serious investors.

That was not a quote from Dr. Bertolino, it was from the author. To me, it was more a misunderstanding or as I said "a simplistic recap" of Kevetrin.
I liked the article, for the most part, but the recap on Kevetrin was short and simplistic. It is important to remember that the patients were all Stage 4 and had already ran out of options/therapy. Many (most?) of their lives were prolonged and there was evidence of re-activating P-53.
This is why it is important for the release of the details and the bottom line results as well as that peer reviewed article ASAP.
Was going to tweet out the article but now I don't think I will because of that one paragraph.
Thanks Karen, as usual...I think it's time you let Leo and Dr. B know you are ready to head up the "new" PR Department, as long as you can work from home in San Diego!
Mark
Great post Sox, I am a big fan of Patrick Cox but missed this article...this is a must read for investors and especially those doing their Due Diligence.
He does a good job explaining resistant bacteria and Brilacidin and defensins as well as the entire pipeline.
Mark S
Good article DJ...eye opening how expensive bringing a drug to market can be for the large Pharmaceuticals..
The good news for CTIX is how safe the compounds are and the trial progression...I am sure it is not going unnoticed..
Mark
Unfortunately it may take an epidemic and fatalities to get Brilacidin in the news.
Starting the phase III would certainly help IMO and getting interim data out during said trial.
RIO games begin later next week and "Superbugs" may be front and center at some point or maybe after the athletes come home.
I am not wishing for this but will become reality in the near future where normally simple surgeries or cuts/scraps can become deadly.
Dr. B is well aware of all of this so "time will tell".
MS
A much needed funding program for sure but looks like it's geared for pre-clinical drugs for the most part.
Certainly shows the urgency for a new class of antibiotics.
Mark
The need for a new class of Antibiotics has been known for awhile now and it looked like Brilacidin was one of them...the news and need will increase over the next 6 months to a year...I am trusting that management has considered all options and have decided on the correct path for now. We really never know all that is going on behind the scenes...time will tell.
The Olympics in Rio will begin in a couple of weeks and the need will be even greater or front and center in the global view.
IMO, of course.
Mark S
My apologies MrW...didn't really mean it to be an attack on you...more of a comment on the lack of respect that has increased in our society...it was using his slang name "Artie" I guess that hit me at the moment...as LR correctly pointed out I have used the name "Leo" in a few of my comments..
Enjoy your weekend...
Mark
Artie?? really??...is that how you address Doctors and CEO's and a man of his background (MBA from U of M) and experience?...it's no wonder our country is heading down the path we have been on..maybe show a little respect?
MS
Thank you Karen...I like the clarity and positive vibe not to mention experience Dr Bertolino (folks, pls don't call him "Arty") brings to the table.
Well done Karen..much appreciated.
Mark
News out of Rio today, Dr.s have discovered a drug resistant bacteria in the water of at least 2 of the most popular beaches...these waters expected to attract thousands of tourists in a few weeks for the Olympics as well as one of the venues for the sailing competitions...this bacteria is pollution coming from the local hospitals dumped into the water system..
The start for the Brilacidin phase III could (should) get plenty of attention should the timing coincide.
Mark S
Good call BK and another way to celebrate our Independence...Juno mission was 10 years in the making and took 5 years to travel to our largest/oldest planet in the Solar System...400 million miles give or take...I will be watching tonight at 10:30 est.
Have a happy and safe 4th all.
Mark
Mr. Bertolino earned an MBA from U of Michigan and one would surmise that his business acumen was a major asset at Novartis and Pfizer.
I am very pleased at this hire and will allow Dr. Menon to focus on what he does best and that is science.
I seriously doubt that Mr. B would haven taken on this position if he didn't like what he saw going on in Beverley. Time will tell.
Mark S
I have zero problem with the company moving on and put this behind us.
Being awarded lawyer fees is a good thing and let's move on.
My sense is Ashcroft/Sullivan intend to win on abuse of Rule 11 before moving on to damages and other awards...one step at a time so to speak.
The Judge/Courts, however could send a message at any time to stop this practice of frivolous suits against companies trying to actually do good for world health and our future ( I know, that's sounds mamby pamby).
In the meantime we have a few events in our near future that could rise us out of the doldrums we find ourselves in of late.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend to all.
All IMO, of course.
Mark S
First time I've seen it...a little tough to read with the small print or format...I did look at the names presenting...the only one I recognized was Dan Jorgenson..
"Even Steven" today as Jerry might say...
Mark
I guess for some I'll recommend Southern Cal....like Tijuana.
Good attitude Karen from a cali girl...maybe some of these "investors" should move to California, Hawaii or South Florida..
Nice thought but a six figure settlement/ruling is only a dent...but hopefully other companies/judges will go after them now and in the near future..and, of course there are other law firms like Rosen so much needs to be done...hopefully this will set a precedent and future rulings..
Anyway, the pipeline and trials continue to move forward and that's what I'm focused on.
Mark S
Well you know how the Sun can evaporate water...
Hang in there Skip..
Glass "half empty" today?
Thanks Kahuna...seems a little strange for an ex-staff member? The incentive for them? Exposure for them?
Mark
Weren't we suppose to be giving a presentation or submitting an Abstract today at the ASM Microbe event?
I haven't seen any mention of that today..
I agree with BK (and others) I bought all the way up to the high 3's and have averaged down back under 3 but am still "red"...I have not been worried and believe more that ever in the science, trials and management.
Today's PR is a reminder how versatile and valuable Brilacidin is..phase III (antibiotic)will be starting soon enough.
Hopefully new investors see what most posts on here lately for what they are...FUD, and they do their proper DD.

Mark
He knows that...some "short and distort" and some prefer to "distract and detract"...
Was a good email from Leo and glad he took the time to send it.
Have a good weekend all.
Mark
Maybe not "with prejudice" but court rules re-pleading "futile"..good enough for me.
Next 2 days should be fun...bye buy shorty.
I re-tweeted the article (regarding the dismissal) by Boston Business Journal couple of hours ago.
Now that the suit is over it wouldn't surprise me if they (Don Seiffert) does another interview with the company. I suggested Dr Menon or Mike Sullivan.
Mark S
Great news that most of us were expecting, especially after the failed suits by Rosen in last 2 weeks.
They have not heard the last from the Ashcroft Law Firm or Michael Sullivan. We will see the real reason they took the case.
IMO
Congrats to all us longs and to being patient...has not been easy. Hopefully the BS on here will move on.
